OH MY GOD! So I just came across this thread and rushed to check my kid brother's Physics textbook to confirm for myself, and I saw it there. Still shocked!

What's even more shocking is that the same watermark can be found in his Chemistry (the legendary Ababio) and biology (Modern Biology) textbooks. And they're all published by the same AFRICANA FIRST!!!

Something desperately needs to be done about this angry angry

Anyone preparing for summer application ? ......I'm interested ooh ... wanna give it a try even though its competitive and tight ...( I read mechanical engineering with 3.30 cgpa , ielts 6.5, GRE 151 quantitative , 148 verbal )

pls house , when is the right time to send my documents to uni assist ? Now that applications are not open or should i wait until applications open ?
With a good motivation letter, I believe you will definitely get admitted with your stats.
If you wish to apply through uniassist, I'll suggest you wait till the application process is opened to avoid posting twice because you'll still need to post the application form for each school you wish to apply to.

Hello house,

I have requested for my account statement as requested by the embassy because money was paid in last year October and deutsche bank is yet to send me the credit or account statement after 11 business day.

I am a bit worried cos I feel it's taking longer than necessary.

I have written them saverally and they keep saying the only way I can contact them is by filling the form on the bank website. Which I have done saverally.

I have check my spam folder. I paid in 8090 which was confirmed to me last year that 8040 was blocked.

I can't quite figure out how to resolve this ....could the bank have deducted more than 50 euro leaving me with insufficient balance or they're flooded with plenty request causing this delay.

I have written the embassy of my challenges.

Please anyone have a similar experience or an advise on what I need to do to get things sorted out as soon as possible

Thanks in advance
Just try and credit the account. Even if it's €10, they will send the "alert" with the available balance wink

sorry about that, maybe deceit isn't the right word to use but I think in cases like this you should give the entire true info for clarity. Once again I'm sorry

it depends on whr you are going to but basically I don't think you have to show another 8k in your account to renew. I once said this here that I spoke with a student in Stuttgart whr I'm headed and she said you only need about 2k to renew
First you were correct by saying it depends on where you're going, then you went to talk(type) about deceit. Hmmmmm
Anyway, maybe Stuttgart requires 2k to renew, but Kiel where I'm going requires the full 8k. Berlin gives 2yrs straight with 8k, so it's definitely location dependent.
Best thing is to find out from people in your city of intent.

Your write up sound so interesting on paper but in reality it's a different ball game.
Getting a blue card may sound easy but in reality it isn't. The only exception to this rule is if you studied a course in STEM field. Any other course you will require a very good German language skill to nail a dream job. Mind you there is a salary cap you must earn in other to get a permanent residence permit
Jejet sure did a STEM program with a capital T, which also happens to be my line... I think I'll take his advice seriously.

sad

so in all these so-called first world countries, where does one not have to pay almost half or over half of their salary as tax?
I remember my Lecturer in school complaining about the High Taxes in Canada...He was a Prof lecturing in Canada but he said he got pissed with the whole tax ish as though he was paid almost 10,000 dolls monthly, he was taxed between 50 to 60 percent of this sum. He said he was overworked yet under-paid and had to relocate back to Nigeria.

Bros, this that you have stated here is mere theory o. Daad is one of the most comprehensive search engines one could come across, so it has nothing to hide. With 'Berlin' selected in the 'location>city' section, and all other boxes unchecked to allow for the maximum number of outcomes, there was no single institution; public or private offering tuition-free MSc programmes in engineering. Maybe you missed the 'engineering' part
before posting your comment.

The only clause here may be that such schools actually exist but are not in daad's database. If you have knowledge of this, I would appreciate you listing them. Danke!
I have to tell you this, even though I won't believe if someone else told me. DAAD is not comprehensive.
In my search for programs i could apply to, I came across MSc Visual Computing in one school (The school is on DAAD, but not the course. Can't remember it now, will modify this post if I do). I was so pissed as I discovered this program just 3 days after the application deadline (I've always wanted to do something on pattern recognition).
The best (and least efficient) way of checking for a program is to go to the individual school's website one by one and check for their program list. This can be very cumbersome, but could save you a lot of frustration.

Stop that. He deliberately appointed a south southerner who's Igbo to humiliate and spite us d S/easterners. He wants to ensure dat we the s/eastern Igbos get nothing. Buhari is a tribal bigot who's unfit to be called a Nigeria's President!
Bro please calm down till all appointments are made before casting aspersions. As I recall, he lost woefully in SS and SE during the election, so why would he hold it against the SE and not the SS? You say his appointment is just to humiliate you people, is he not competent and qualified enough? We should be happy a competent person was selected.

I want you to answer this question and I need you to answer very honestly; even if he appoints an Anambra/Imo/Enugu man as his chief of staff, SGF, and other key positions, will it change your perception about him? Don't tell me the answer, just keep it to yourself and think deeply.

The whole appointment of Femi Gbajabiamila is flawed and unconstitutional, thanks to Buhari interference which you do not deny.
I will not go into American constitutionality, even though you're wrong about it, as I am not an American. I am a Nigerian through and through.

Actually, there's nothing unconstitutional about it. I challenge you to show me the section of the constitution that was violated!

Buhari interfered with the administrative appointment in the House of Reps. That is unconstitutional. It is even more unconstitutional for the south west to hold two administrative office in one House of Reps.

This was why the speaker tried to resist the pressure of handing the majority leader, to the south west.
You don't get it, do you? Buhari, as the leader of the party (APC) has every right to intervene in the appointments of partisan officers for his party. Please note that keyword; I don't think he had any input in appointment of (Deputy) Minority leaders/whips, because as a partisan affair (PDP) he has no input. Dogara tried to resist it because of his own selfishness.

Buhari clearly did not intervene in the non-partisan positions (Speaker/Deputy Speaker) unlike his predecessors. I think he should be commended for that.

Yes I am bro. I remember Eke40Seven telling me on my interview date that I could have done that. If you are worried about it, then take the two letters and present the one that you are prefer (and not the one you used for booking the interview) and just wait for the VO. That just means you have to learn about two different cities and different courses now.

Truly, there is nothing to worry about: it will not be an issue. You will be interviewed with the docs of the school that you prefer. Trust me
Alright. Thanks.
TravelRe: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Williamso(m): 7:41pm On Aug 02, 2015
lmuhopeful:
No Rayhut, that is not a problem. I opened my blocked acct with a conditional admission from LMU and I attended the visa interview with an admission from KIT-Karlsruhe (because the final LMU admission came quite late). So it wouldn't hurt.

Another advice to prospective visa interviewees: Even if you booked an appointment with one school, you can still go to the embassy for your interview with the admission letter of another school that you prefer. This will save you the hassle of changing schools when you arrive in Germany (although I learnt that it is not a big deal to change schools upon arrival). The use of admission letter in booking interview date is not to tie you down to one school, but to prove to the embassy that you actually have an admission offer at hand.
Are you sure about this? 'Cos this is the position I find myself presently...huh
