Okay, I recently had this fault in my car, it’s easy
Go on a highway while you’re speeding, switch your gear to neutral, if the sound doesn’t stop, then it’s your bearing, it has to do with the hub or something.
It the sound stops, then it’s ur engine

Anytime I’m traveling at high speed on a highway, my RX350 shows “High Transmission Fluid Temp” then I slow the way way I rev up the engine, for some minutes it won’t show ... someone help me it happens often only on highway
PS: This also happens to my friends car of same type

Op my honest opinion as a car dealer for years is that you should go for the Lexus rx350.
Reasons are:

That suv is a beast.

The front camera is about 13mega pixels for Good Selfies.

The internal memory is about 2 gig.

It runs on both ios and Android.

the solution for you Toyota or Lexus car using Navigation is to buy and insert the MAP DVD back into the car, the MAp DVD doesn't only serve are navigation but a reset software that brings back your vehicle navigation system to default. otherwise your camera, radio in fact most of the buttons won't work because of this. is so unfortunate they don't sell the disc in any Nigeria store, you can order on Amazon or eBay

Mine was quite scary, I was just driving home on a quiet evening around 5pm, it was within the town.
I saw a 2005 Corolla behind me on double pointer, he was trying to overtake me on a single lane, I didn’t give him much attention until he overtook me and signalled to me with his left hand that come on I can do better, my spirit went high I put on my double pointer also, I overtook him within few minutes, I hit on d accelerator twice (Toyota nitro boost ) and didn’t look black to check on him until I got close to my house junction, I reduced my speed to play small with small cos I know the road very well, on a single lane, all I just did was to check through my side mirror and block him on any side he was trying to overtake me, he didn’t mind overtaking me on the pedestrian lane, cos he was desperate, I made sure I blocked him from overtaking at normal speed, having it in mind that he dare not hit my car. Not until he saw some space on my left handside, he quickly took his chance, I wanted to cover up d lane, but thank God I didn’t, cos he would have hit another vehicle from the traffic on the other lane.

Toyota highlander has a slightly better fuel economy, don’t get the V6 Edition tho, it is easier to maintain also.
I will personally advise you to get the Lexus tho. The difference in fuel consumption is just about 25% higher in lexus rx330 and Lexus parts are more expensive, but it’s definitely worth it considering more superior materials used for Lexus plus better driving experience.
Lexus also commands more respect, it’s same generation till 2009 RX so it’s worth it.

Truth is i ignore some of these readings that flicker on the dashboard...because there are confusing. What I am more concerned with is how much fuel do i buy on my normal routine driving. Now I regularly buy 6k fuel once a week for my car and i even get left over at the end of the week before top up.
Another thing we have to consider is that some filling stations mix all sorts of chemical in the PMS before selling them. All these adulteration dey affect how fast the PMS dey burn. I have experienced it

You’re right, tho I’ve been getting about 15MPG lately
But the truth is, some gas station sells shitty fuel which burns faster, I’m still trying to get the station that sells better, cos I didn’t notice this on my previous car, I only keep tabs on the gauge, but now I will keep tabs on everything atleast until I get a station that sells better fuel.
Spending less than 30k on fuel monthly is very good, some spends more than that to fuel their generators.

Well, since you're interested in getting to the root of the matter, run a live data scan on the car and a normal scan to pick up codes.
Take note of the live data recordings and post pictures of the readings here for my interpretation then we'll take it up from there.

Modern engines are designed to retard timing to accommodate the lower octane rating. Then you are supposed to use octane boosters.

Note Mercedes Benz is driven in Nigeria and they also require high octane fuel.. Yet we get close to factory or factory MPG.

Sad it's happening on a recently bought car. I would suggest you check it out with another mechanic before fixing anything. I noticed my car's (rx330) mpg dropped as well and I felt maybe it's because I don't always take it for long cruises, because I know cars consume less fuel on highway than city/urban cruises. all the same 11mpg is quite low so check another mechanic. Cheers
