Does he think the UK'S judicial system is like ours here which lack merit and can throw away a case with substance for a filing technicality? They think because they win cases here using the we vs them syndrome they can go replicate that outside the country? Bunch of inept fools!

Your hatred for the country is so intense, I am sure you wish for the country to be nuked, with you and your family inside, just because of hatred.

Why should the Nigerian government be subservient to British courts. That's an insult to all Nigerians irrespective of tribe or religion. Who ever signed away Nigeria's sovereignty should be shot. At worst there are other international bodies that handles disputes between countries. Does it make sense for a British court to arbitrate a case between Britain and Nigeria?

If your hero agreed to dash a British company $850 as you alleged ( which to me is a lie), why didn't he give them before he left office? How can he agree to dash someone money for no work done or goods supplied and hope the next person will pay it?

I wish Nigeria was like Iran, you seize our $9 billion, we seize your assets and any British ship near the gulf of Guinea.

Isn't it obvious. Stealing that is not corruption of course. They negotiated a bogus amount for a bogus contract and collecting kickback or awaiting kickback. I am sure the people that negotiated the agreement are waiting for a huge pay off.

When the Irish took the FG to arbitration, what effort did Jonathan put in place to resolve the matter? He practically did nothing until $6.6billion was awarded against the country in 2013. He then connived with Dezaini to negotiate about $1billion out of court settlement in a manner that raised so much suspicion that he couldn’t pay the money after the agreement. We really need to learn how to apportion blame appropriately.

Why will any sane human sign such a stupid contract? Why will a country sign it's sovereignty away to British courts when we have courts in Nigeria. I have never heard of such before. President Jonathan and the people that signed our sovereignty away should be charged for treason.

Going forward, we should support the government to explore all possible legal options before agreeing to a deal. The company is still very open to a negotiated settlement. Nobody is going to pay them $9billion.

Which yeye legal option. You see why I love Iran. You can't try such rubbish with Iran. Britain seized their oil tanker, they siezed Britain's tanker in retaliation. If the British siezed our money in their hands, we should siezed all British assets in Nigeria. How can one pay $9billion for no service or goods, just pay because some corrupt officials signed some useless piece of paper.

We met in school during my pre-degree and dated for 7 years before he proposed to me. Before the proposal, both our parents had been pestering us to get married and start having children.

We started trying 6months prior, and 6 months after proposing I got pregnant. Few months later we did our introduction and got married (registry) march this year.

About two years ago, he met a lady where he was supplying his goods. According to him, the lady has been doing everything in her power to push his business. Every time I suspect there was more to their friendship, he always assured me there was nothing, that she's just a friend. sometimes he would even travel with her to Abuja to sell his goods which I had to allow since it was helping his business.

8 months into my pregnancy I noticed a drastic change like coming home very late, he hardly eats at home, he barely talks to memos he's always on his phone. I knew something was wrong and every time I talk to him, he always assured me that everything was fine.

After the delivery and naming of my baby I expected things to go back to the way it was, but it became worse. he changes his phone password almost everyday and still hides his phones from me.

One day I cried and begged him to tell me what was going on, after hours of begging, the first question he asked me was "where was it written in the bible that marriage has to be between one man and one woman and not with different women", "why can't a man marry two or more wives if he has the resources to take care of them equally"(the lady is a muslim btw).

He confessed that he has been dating this lady for over two years and has no plan of leaving her, and theres a possibility he's going to marry her. I'm just 26yo with a one month old baby, I didn't sign up for this.

While growing up, my mum has always warned us against polygamy. although he's promised to be there for me and still wants our marriage to continue, but the thought of my husband being with someone else is killing me. I've tried to reason with him several times but I end up hurting even more. I've been praying but still no change. He's been trying to compensate with gifts and money but thats not what I want. he doesn't want me to tell anyone and I feel reporting him to his family will even worsen the case. We've always settled our issues ourselves without involving anyone. I've tried everything I can just to take my mind off it. I need someone to talk to, prolly a friend or a counsellor. I've been crying for days now, I've not been eating well and I have to breastfeed my child. I never knew my life would be this complicated. I don't know why he got married to me if he already had this in mind. I hate my life right now.

I usually don't give relationship advice, because you freely entered into the relationship with your eyes wide open. Besides people don't tend to take advices on relationship as emotion tend to reign supreme over reason. But I will try and give you be best advice I can.

The blame is from both of you. You dated the guy for 7 years and not get to know the kind of person he is. He was also in a 2 year relations (half of when you were still dating and before marriage), and you did not suspect. Girl you must be the most naive girl on the planet.
The other area I blame you is that you seem not to have added value to your self and also to the relationship. What do you contribute to the financial and material progress of the family? When I tell you young ladies that we men prefer women that can either help our careers, or help us financially (no matter how small) in running the home, some ladies would insult us and call us half men. They see men and marriage as ticket to free launch and free every thing else. Some wives expect the man to bring home the bacon, pay all bills, withstand constant nagging and stress and still be superman in bedroom duties.
It may be the painful truth, but your husband see the other woman as contributing more to his success than you and thus feels indebted to her.

Now the way forward....
The decision lies with you and you alone. You have two choices, either live and cope with the situation or leave.
If you decides to leave, then you need to improve yourself. You need to dust up your certificate and look for a job. You could also learn a skill, nowadays skills pay much more than certificate jobs. With the right skills you could start a business.
Discuss your decision with your family to see how and if they can help you move ahead. Your family could arrange a meeting with your husbands family to finalise issues.
It's not going to be easy, but you need to quit crying and put yourself together. Since you only have one child and you are still young, finding a future partner would not be too difficult.

Fuel importation is a product of the 16yrs of PDP misgovernance which cannot disappear so soon.

No one is talking about denying citizens their right to religious obligations, what we are talking about is subsidising religious obligation. Pilgrimage is religious tourism, which is a personal obligation. The government have no business selling dollars at subsidised rate to people going on personal religious obligations.

Be sensible. The CBN should be an independent or autonomous financial institution and the continued interference, ordering and brazen directives is defeating the purpose behind the creation of a central bank in the first place.

The reasons behind the order are also not well or clearly thought out.

It smacks of hypocrisy to continue to subsidise fuel and providing forex for pilgrimage which is of no benefit to the nation and then turn around to want to ban forex provision for food imports in a nation which is not reliant on its own produce or secured in terms of food production to meet the teeming population's needs!

No central bank in this world is absolutely independent, it is always under the control of the executive. In the US Trump is at loggerheads with the Federal Reserve chairman over interest rate cuts and the tarrif (trade) war with China.

I feel the order is on point and Buhari should go on further to give more support for local farmers to meet our local food needs.
Now, tell me, why should our food importers depends solely on the FG for dollars to import food into the country? Can they source their dollars elsewhere? Mallam's don finish for streets or bureau de change don't finish?
It's time for them to be creative. They can export Nigerians items abroad and use the dollars earned to import the food they like, after all importation of food was not banned.

The government is forced to subsidise fuel because it is essential to the economy and there are no substitutes. If fuel was not subsidised, and fuel rises to unbearable levels, it will lead to social unrests, which is capable of bringing down the government. The only thing that can unify Nigerians against any government is high petrol prices.

I agree that subsidising pilgrimages is unnecessary and unreasonable. It's just a waste of scarce resources, but then Nigeria is a very religious country and the various governments scores some political points with sponsoring and subsidising pilgrimages.

Ojukwu refused and told them that he would meet with Gowon to iron out issues. In January 1967, Ojukwu met Gowon in Aburi, Ghana. They reached an agreement that would keep Nigeria one and maintain peace. Ojukwu and Gowon and signed the agreement. They returned to Nigeria and Gowon broke the agreement. This forced Ojukwu to secede.

which leaders went to Ojukwu and told him to pull out of Nigeria? Was it political, military, or traditional leaders. What authority did the leaders have to tell Ojukwu to secede?

If Gowon had kept to the agreement and Ojukwu seceded, then you can blame Ojukwu. But by breaking that agreement, Gowon caused all the trouble that followed

There was no way Gowon could have kept the Aburi Accord. He did not understand the full import of the agreement before he signed it. It was after he Gowon got back to Lagos, that awolowo and others explained the implication of the Aburi accord.
The agreement had the same implication as secession, since the east would not be under the control of the FG. Other regions would also have demanded autonomy and subsequent balkanization of the country.

I'm not igbo but a Christian minority from the middle belt, well it's really up to the igbos identify n correct their political blunders n forge a common front,but for complete national healing, equity, fairness n federal character personally I would want a situation where both parties i.e Apc n pdp will both zone their candidacy to the SE to avoid further rancor n subsequently more division of the country along our fault lines.The igbos should have stood firmly for the north to complete their second tenure in 2011 after the Demise of yar'adua so that 2015 would have been theirs for taking but lack of political foresight made them to loss a good opportunity,when Apc was formed n the SE were invited to join,okorochas greed prevented the igbos from joining as strong unit under a concrete political arrangement,they didn't vote massively for pdp in 2015,they have remained in disarray since then,come 2023 it will be very difficult for Tinubu n his gang to concede to the SE n buhari doesn't look like someone interested in true national healing to be concern about the igbo political question n plight so it's either there igbos try n convince the nation to concede the presidency to them in 2023 or to go into alliance with the NE, NC n SS under a strong political arrangement as the SW n NW are very likely to be on the same side or to just resign to fate n wait for eternity.

It's not going to happen that both parties present igbo candidates for president. It would even be impossible for either PDP or APC to present an igbo candidates. The igbos don't have much political capital at the moment. They don't have one political figure they can unify under, not even 10. They don't have a discernable political agenda. Some want Biafra, some want president, others want political appointments ,others still want physical and economic developments. Then worse still, there is voter apathy in the south east. So the voting strength in the East is poor, even when compared to the south south.

The presidency was not given to the yorubas on a platter of gold. They have been fighting for it from the time of Awolowo culminating in the June 12 impasse. The north was presented with no choice but to concede power to the south west. Where is the igbo struggle for power. After the January 1966 coup and take over by general ironsi, we have not seen a strong igbo bid for power - both politically or otherwise.

shehu sani is not been sincere here perhaps he is eyeing political resurgence in 2023 n feels an alliance with the SW will serve him better hence this statement by him,but if truly fairness equity n federal character is to be strictly applied then the SE deserves the presidency come 2023,all the talk of ipob,Biafra etc from elements in SE will certainly varnish for good if n when the SE gets n complete their presidential term just the same way NADECO,RADIO KUDIRAT N JUNE12 varnished after 1999,the SE stands to loose more if Nigeria descends into chaos due to their widespread investments in the country so I believe the SE never intends to cause any problem for the country,all the noise is just about a cry for justice, it's however true that the igbos have committed lot of political blunders in the past but who is perfect?.

I hope you are igbo, then I will have hope that you guys are beginning to learn from your political blunders. The Yorubas had also made many political blunders in the past ( it was yoruba political blunder that gave us Abacha ), they learnt and made progress.

The question is how are these political blunders being corrected in order to give the south east more political relevance?

If the south Easterners truly want the presidency, they need to work hard for it, by lobbying other Nigerians and other regions. Even if it's Biafra they want, they also need to lobby other Nigerians instead of shouting on radio and social media.
Tinubu has been going up and down lobbying for the president to come to the Southwest after Buhari's tenure. El rufai is also lobbying for the North to retain it. What are my people doing (South South and South East) outside making noise on social media for the presidency to be gifted to them?

I honestly don't care who wins. I was just surprised the speed at which Mike pulled out the shoe lace the very first time, then subsequently show laces gave him some difficulty. It may be that all the shoe laces were not tied the same way and he was lucky.
My wife actually support Mike and we have been arguing on this also.

I wish someone recorded the shoe lace challenge so we could watch it again. I was surprised at the ease Mike pulled out the first shoe lace the first time without much effort, then subsequent ones gave him some difficulty. The same thing happened again in the tie break, Mike just pull the lace and it came out and was already at the pole while sir D was still struggling to undo his shoe lace.

Both times mike was faster.

Mike was not faster. I believed the laces were rigged to favour Mike. The way Mike undid the first shoe lace, it showed it was not tied beyond the first pair of holes, while sir d's shoe lace was laced through all the holes. Mike simply pulled the shoe lace and it just came undone. That was exactly what happened in the initial challenge. The first lace came undone with a simple pull. It was that first lace that gave Mike the advantage to win the first time.

My problem is about some people on this forum who lives in Nigeria and can’t even deal wit Buhari but screaming about how they would lick Trumps butt if they are given the chance.

Imagine the guy was an immigrant, especially an illegal one, trump would have proven his invasion theory and sent the marines, special forces and the army to the border to stop the invaders.

If he was Muslim, it would have been a terrorist attack and Trump would have justified his Muslim ban.

But if since he is white, the incident is described as a mass shooting by a mentally unstable youth.

The usual tribal divide tactics. Never knew El Zakzaky is a southern activist.
Anybody that challenges the authority of any government would elicit strong reaction, and I mean any government around the world.
No matter how Democrats, minorities and Muslims hate trump, non of them have come out to challenge his authority as president.
