Pierohandsome:Leave Abraham story, such story is not practical today. If any modern day Abraham does as much as raise a knife against any kid, even his own and boasts about it, he will end in jail for attempted murder, weather God's commandment or not. What do you mean by domineering attitude? A wife gives her whole month's salary to a pastor (December one at that), how will she transport her self to work? How will she eat at lunch time? How will she meet up with her obligations? Oh I forgot, she has a domineering man to depend on. So because God owns us and can request anything from us, we should take the life of our children, our spouses or complete strangers when God asks for it. I know another set of God's worshippers that reason like that. |
Pierohandsome:In is unfortunate that some people have been brainwashed into sustaining the avarice and vices of their pastors. Pastors are not God, so putting your husband before your pastor is not putting God second in your life. In life, your husband or wife is more important than your pastor. God cannot give such instruction without the knowledge of the husband, because her money does not belong to her but to both of them. I know most people saying rubbish here are too young or too I mature to get married, but once you are married your money or property (or even your body) does not belong to you alone but to both of you, whether you are the husband or the wife. That is why when you divorce the properties will be shared between the two of you. |
rossyc:Are you sure you are Catholic? There is nothing like the doctrine of sowing of seed in catholism, that is a pentecostal creation. The only giving in catholism is general offerings or offerings for specific purposes, ie, building projects, offerings for the poor, harvest, etc. Parishioners are allowed to give reverend fathers gifts like food, drinks and other material items, but giving tithes, seed offerings, money to the Reverend fathers personally is not encouraged in the Catholic Church What will the father do with your money? Reverend fathers are paid salary, a house, a cook, a house help and sometimes a car with a driver. The Reverend Fathers will not wear armani suits, will not buy a jet plane, will not build a mansion for himself and definitely does not have wife and kids to cater for. If the lady gave the money to the church, That would be understandable ( but still wrong since she did not inform her husband ), but to give money personally to a reverend father for blessing is not Catholic doctrine. |
Ohaneze must have split personality disorder. Immediately after Buhari became president, they advised igbos not accept appointments from Buhari, now it is complaining that Buhari did not appoint igbos into important positions. Ohaneze Urges Igbo Sons And Daughters To Shun Buhari’s Ministerial Appointment Sep 29, 2015 https://www.abusidiqu.com/ohaneze-urges-igbo-sons-and-daughters-to-shun-buharis-ministerial-appointment/ When Buhari wrote a letter to this same ohaneze to seek their support and dialogue on their demands, they did not even have the courtesy to respond to the letter, instead they went ahead and endorsed Jonathan. Now they are demanding second niger bridge, roads, political positions from this same Buhari they were allergic to sitting down with. Cekpo34:Which pace? The pace of borrowing to pay salaries or the pace of sharing money anyhow or the pace. If Buhari had continued with Jonathan's pace, I am sure we would have become Somalia by now. |
Since madam insisted that it was the governors and not Jonathan that lacked the political will to save, how much did Jonathan save? How come madam world Bank keeps believing that she was also the finance minister for the states, as she seemed more interested in saving the monies of the governors than that of the federal government. The states together gets about 24% of federal allocation while the FG gets a whopping 52% but madam world Bank was so obsessed with the allocation of the governors while not caring about that of the FG. |
badebillions:Please explain how the refinery project was GEJ enabled? |
badebillions:You should be intelligent enough to to know when a business man is massaging the ego of someone in power. Dangote was on the entourage of president Jonathan's trip to Kenya and he gave a speech standing beside president Jonathan, what do you expect him to say. He would even give greater accolades to Buhari if he was on Buhari's entourage. The statement obviously gives a false impression that the licensing of private refineries was Jonathan's idea. It was indeed Obasanjo's iniative in 2003. Before Dangote took the risk of investing the refinery project, over 18 refinery licenses were given to different investors in June 2002. Most of them have held onto these licenses for more than 15 years now without producing a single litre of PMS or diesel despite the fact that the country still imports 90 percent of its fuel needs. - https://www.google.com.ng/amp/s/www.thecable.ng/defence-aliko-dangote/ampEven the cement policy which help dangote become one of the richest man in Africa was an obasanjo policy

revolt:Lie!!! The cassava initiative was OBJ's policy. |
Ovamboland:You get time to educate millennium kids who are adverse to learning. They are not aware that most people born before the 70s ( some even before the 80s) do not know their exact age. Most people were born at home or in traditional midwife's homes, so their birth were never registered. Celebrating birthdays was not our culture, so after a few years every body forgets the day you were born. To make matters worse, people did not follow the normal Gregorian calender weeks and months but count days based on traditional market days. I can bet that even the father's of those criticising Buhari does not know their exact birthdays. |
Ovamboland:We all support Innoson because they have 3 court judgements against gtb and they have refused to pay judgement debts. We all support innoson because most of us who are business men have been victims of illegal deductions by Nigerian banks, so we are glad that one of them have been caught red handed. If GTB wants to institute fraud case against Innoson, they should please go ahead, but they should obey judgements against them first and pay innoson. For your information, I and most people supporting innocent chukwuma are not Igbo. |
PFRB:Why should the shipping documents be with GTB in the first place? What were GTB supposed to do with the shipping documents? |
Earthkumy:The human being who knows his age met $60 billion and left $30 billion in foreign reserve. He also met $20 and left $2billion in excess crude account. All these with oil selling over $100. The human being who does not know his age met $30 and after 2.5 years grew the foreign reserve to $35 billion despite oil selling between $30 - $60. Now who would would you say is a better manager of resources, the one who knows his age or the one who doesn't? |
princechurchill:You are expecting too much if you actually expect wailing wailers to think critically. The damage GEJ's loss did to their cerebral cortex seem permanent. After their GEJ till 2019 crumbled, the only consolation to their loss are; Under GEJ, fuel was N87, rice was N8000, naira was N170. They can never see nor process any information concerning foreign reserve or excess crude account depletion by GEJ or the fact that crude was selling at an average of $100 with record production output. You are wasting your time giving them the information that Jonathan also borrowed $1 billion to fight Boko Haram apart from tens of billions of dollars allocated already. |
Aleis:Are you insinuating that Joseph never consummated his marriage to Mary? Do you think that was possible? You people rush to defend your dogma without thinking deeply, a better excuse would have been that Jesus's brothers were children from joseph's previous marriage. So they would be half brothers. There is no where in the bible that cousins were referred to as brothers, they specifically define them as brother's children or sisters children. |
Sealeddeal:You are talking like a trumpite or should I say trumpet, big and noisy with little substance. The US will use their power and their wealth in achieving their international objectives, but the rest of the world would not use their own power and wealth in achieving their own international objectives, right? Yes, world powers rise and fall. They rise from humble beginnings, cultivate and consolidate power by forming alliances, then the power gets into their head and become arrogant. That is when they begin to crumble. The US is now beginning to become too arrogant. Believe me, the US cannot fight the rest of the world and win. Many others have followed that path and failed. It is a huge fallacy to say that US is the only guarantor of piece in the world. How many peace have they guaranteed in Africa? Nigeria has guaranteed more peace in Africa than the US. How many peace have they guaranteed in South East Asia? How many peace have they guaranteed in former Soviet republics? The US decision on Jerusalem is as much the sovereign right of the US as it is also the sovereign rights of 128 countries not to recognise jerusalam as the capital of Israel. The US can't force others implements it's national interests. Just as the US is implementing a US first policy all other country's too have the rights to put their countries first. So why should any other country help the US achieve its objectives? Why should China help the US curtail Kim Jong un? Why should Russia help the US with Iran? |
blackfase:God, this is so childish. So countries should not have divergent opinions at the UN again? Maybe China and Russia should start taking names of countries that do not vote with them and invite those that do to dinners. Maybe the UN should be scrapped and we should use force instead of diplomacy to resolve problems. The US is trying to bully the world because it feels it has military might. It is playing a very dangerous game. |
Goodness4525:I can relate to some of the things you wrote. It was actually the hypocrisy I saw at home that turned me away from Christianity and religion as a whole. Till today I can't stand hypocrisy. Although religion should be a tool for building a well structured and ordered society, in Nigeria it is actually destroying the very fabric of our society. Pentecostalism actually encourages, materialism, fraud, avarice, laziness and kills innovation. It promotes the acquisition and display of wealth ( mostly unmerited or stolen). Today, someone prayed for me by saying "may you come across unmerited riches in 2018". I could not say Amen because I do not believe in unmerited riches. I believe all riches should be worked for, unless inherited riches. |
EternalBeing:You prove that black Africans have the lowest IQ among the races. No wonder other races see and treat us as slaves. Why not ask yourself why pastors of the poorest people become the richest men. African Americans are the poorest demographic group in the US, meanwhile, black pastors are among the richest, meanwhile the richest demographic group the Jews do not have the richest pastors or rabbis. Nigeria one of the poorest nation in the world (in terms terms of per capital income) has the richest pastors in the world. So Mr. Sheeple, since you are so inspired by Bishop Oyedepo's wealth, can you explain how he came about all that wealth? Afterall he registered Liiving Faith Tabernacle as a non profit organisation, meaning him and the organisation do not makeep profit from the activities of winner's chapel. No wonder Nigerian politicians are the richest politicians in the world. The sheeples think collective monies donated or collectively earned belongs to the people appointed to manage the money. |
deji68:Relatively safe? Maybe you were living in nigeria in an alternate universe. The south east, the south south, the north west, apart from the north east and even Abuja was highly unsage diring GEJ era. I am not saying that things have improved much apart from north east and Abuja, but to say nigeria was relatively safe during Jonathans reign is a white lie. |
Saaruman:So who should we have voted for, Jonathan that squandered our oil windfall and handled Boko Haram with kid gloves. If the choice is between Jonathan and Buhari again, Buhari will still come out tops. |
Nazeren:Do you have a copy of the agreement? How come you are buying GTB excuse not to pay it's judgement debts but rejecting innosons own side of the story. Here is part of innosons side of the story; Innoson obtained, and had repaid same, a loan of N1.3 billion from GTB which was secured with a legal mortgage of its properties valued at more than N1.4 billion. |
deenee:You that is Einstein, why not inform and educate us lesser mortals. The GTB I know for sure won't institute a case against Innoson if they don't have hard concrete evidence against him and they have also shown strategic maturity by keeping quiet all throughout this saga. But, the GTB that you know that have concrete evidence had lost 3 cases at the courts. And yes they owe it a duty to depositors to go after any body that is a loan defaulter.I did not know that GTB accused Innocent Chukwuma of defaulting on his loan, I thought the accusation by GTB bordered on fraud and forgery and that was why EFCC was brought in. The same Innoson that refused to pay Bank of Industry loan of over 4billion and used GEJ's influence to write off the loan cost of which had to be deducted from the MSME sinking fund account set aside annually by banks. And how does this affect this case. For sake of maturity it will be best not to wash this man's dirty linen in public and I know that with due time the story around the 500m deductions from his overdraft account will come to light.Of course, we will know the whole story around the 500 illegal deductions from innosons account very soon as the case is before the Supreme Court. Just wait for the final judgement by the supreme Court. One questions though for my igbo brothers......why do you think foreign investor have practically stayed away from him Asa business man?I doubt my Igbo brothers know the answer to the above question, but you that is in the know, why not educate us. The answer is obvious and I am not trying to slander him but Innoson as he is now can't import motor parts for assemblage unless Nigerian banks provide credit guarantee to his supplier because he is known to always cut corners. The Sinotruck franchise should have gone to him instead of Dangote but for obvious reasons because even the Chinese know better. Let me stop here so that information asymmetry does not set in.Slander is exactly what you are doing, because you fail to provide evidence that innocent Chukwuma always cut corners and you also failed to provide evidence that all Nigerian banks have resolved not to provide credit guarantee for innoson. As it is right now.......there is already a collective resolve among banks not to touch any of his transactions unless he fulfills all conditions with proper documentation. I admire his resolve to be an entrepreneur but he can also do this without cutting corners and I wish him all the best.Slander as above. Please provide proof for your allegations and speculations. For the GTB must go down supporters know this GTB is a Pan African bank with operations scattered and branches all over Africa. Infact the rest of Africa coverage accounts for over 65% of their revenue YTD and the bank is a systematically important bank meaning that it is one of the banks that won't be allowed to fail. Bank is currently the most capitalized bank on the NSE with market cap of over 1.2 trillion and currently trading @ N40 per share making it a toast of both local and international investors.Bullshit! Most of GTB's business is in Nigeria. The Nigerian business is more than all other African countries added together. What is the size of GTB's business is Ghana, Benin Republic and all other African countries? The Lagos economy alone is the fifth largest economy in Africa. Bank was the first to make over 100billion PAT in Nigeria and is set to post over 150b naira for FY 2017 so I laugh when people actually think that paying Innoson 8billion will make them go under. If they have that much money, why are they running from pillar to post to avoid paying the court obtained money to innoson. At the end of the day? They will lose more than the N billion due to damage to their reputation and brand. They have a duty to protect depositors funds and I know in due time the true picture of what transpired will come to light. But they do not have a duty to depositors when they deduct stupid charges from customers accounts everyday. They did not have a duty to protect depositors when they deducted N500 million (as admitted by them) from innosons account. Until we begin to see beyond tribal lines we won't go far in this country and for my ibo brothers the same tribal lines that is creating a false sense of bond right now is the same one that will divide as sooner or later a mbaise man will start claiming superiority over anambra man etc so keep it going.Irrelevant rant. This has nothing to do with Igbo,Yoruba or Hausa. It has do do with stealing of our money by Nigerian banks and not only innocent chukwuma. Some Nigerian banks are notorious for fraudulently deducting money from customers accounts and GTB is one of them, and this had been going on for a very long time. GTB over did it this time. |
janellemonae:Everything was self explanatory, but you were unable to explain any of the questions I raised. Now explain what kind of agreement is it that you borrow money to import some goods, on which you will pay 22% per annum, but is not allowed to take possession until you pay a further 25% of the total value of the goods? How do you know innocent Chukwuma is was high risk? Are you GTB risk officer? And how does using the imported good act as collateral for goods work? The loans can only be repaid after the sale of the imported goods, so how will the debtor pay the loans when the goods still remains in the possession of the bank? |
This GTB story (I would say super story) does not make sense at all. 1. GTBank (in 2009) granted Innoson several credit facilities (i.e loans) totalling N2,400,000,000,00 (two billion, four hundred million Naira only), to part finance working capital requirements, import new motorcycles and motorcycle spare parts, agricultural spare parts and plastic manufacturing equipment (“Imported Goods”)GTB granted loan to innoson totalling N2,4 billion to import motorcycle spare parts, agricultural spare parts and plastic manufacturing equipment. 2. Under the loan terms agreed by Chief Innocent Chukwuma on behalf of Innoson, proprietary interest in the Imported Goods was consigned exclusively in favour of the Bank. This means that the Bank was the exclusive owner of the Imported Goods. Accordingly, the original shipping documents (i.e. the Bills of Lading) were in the custody of the Bank, and have remained in the custody of the Bank at all times. This is the part I do not understand. Innoson took a loan to import goods, but the imported goods still remains the property of the bank. How does that work. Was innosom supposed to be paying interest on loan for the goods, when the goods is still the property of the bank? Because GTBank was the exclusive owner of the imported goods, ownership of the goods could only be transferred to Innoson (or any other third party) by the Bank. The condition in the agreement between the Bank and Innoson, for the release of the Imported Goods by the Bank to Innoson, was the payment of 25% of the value of each Letter of Credit transaction by Innoson. So GTB was the exclusive owner of motorcycles and motorcycle spare parts, agricultural spare parts and plastic manufacturing equipment? So what does GTB want to do with these goods? The condition in the agreement is also strange. Before innoson can claim ownership of the goods, it must pay 25% of the value of each letter of credit. Now from where will innoson pay the 25% of the letter of credit? From the loaned N2.4 billion or from another source from another bank? Innocent Chukwuma approached the Bank, on behalf of Innoson, requesting the release of the shipping documents without payment of the agreed+ 25% equity. The Bank declined his request as a result of Innoson’s failure to meet the agreed conditions.Since the bank declined to release the shipping documents to innocent chukwuma, what did it intend to happen with N2.4 billion worth of good stuck at the ports gathering demurrage. What did it intend to do with the goods? And how does the Bank intend to recover the N2.4 billion it used in importing the goods. Did they intend that innocent Chukwuma would be paying 22% interest on a N2.4 billion loan he was yet to take custody of? It came to the Bank’s knowledge sometime in June, 2011 that the Imported Goods for which the Bank declined to release shipping documents to Innoson in view of its failure to meet the agreed conditions, had been fraudulently procured by Innoson. It came to the knowledge of the bank a full two years after it imported N2.4 billion worth of goods, that the goods had been cleared with fake shipping papers by innocent Chukwuma. So if innocent chukwuma had not cleared the goods, N2.4 billion worth of goods would have been rotting at the ports. I am really tired of this cocktail and bull story. The excuse was poorly thought out. The person heading the media department of GTB should be fired. |
MasterKim:He was arrested without an arrest warrant and he had been kept in custody beyond the constitutionally allowed 24 hrs. GTB is very notorious for deducting all kinds of unreasonable charges. I have an account with them. You can confirm from other people with account with them, especially corporate accounts. |
MasterKim:So that gives them the rights to steal money from customers accounts. Bigger banks that engaged in unethical practices had crashed in the past and Nigeria did not crumble. |
apolonius:Glam! Exactly my sentiments. If you guys present GEJ again or present another member of the old looting guard, then lots of us will have no choice but to painfully go with Buhari, as nepotic, religious extremist and geriatric as he is. |
Meritocracy:False. Bank loan or any other loan is a business transaction. Defaults in repayment can never fall under criminal case, at worst it falls under civil case. |
tiger28:Which charge are you talking about? Please show us the charges (in a court of law) on the fraud commited by innoson. Innoson was only accused by GTB (most probably thumped up) of fraud. The most reasonable thing was for EFCC to carry out its investigation. The Bank officials that their signature was said to have been forged are still alive, the people from innoson, GTB and customs that were involved in the transaction are still alive, but what did EFCC do? Stormed the chairman's house in commando style to abduct him. Now that they have him locked up, what next? Are they going to charge him to court or keep him locked up indefinitely. I though security agencies can't hold someone without charging them to court for more than 24 hrs. Truly Nigeria is becoming a lawless country. |

You allowed media to play ludo with your Brain to vote in the man who failed in 1984 and you're here blaming GEJ. The same man fela called animal in human skin.
