IGBO_1ST_SON: , nna lekwanu ofeke, who EVER WANTED itsekiri in BIAFRA?deluded fool, stop feeling important, you are nobody niqqa,ur most popular and accomplished pple of not are uduaghan and prof itse sagay,u wan compare urself 2 igbo?when u NEVER reach an igbo offshort dat denies its root viz:ikwerre, u be mumu ooooIgnorance is an incurable disease. Our most popular and accomplished people are uduaghan and Prof itse sagay? Itsekiris were Nigeria 's ambassadors before any igbo man dreamt of answering the title ambassador. An itsekiri man was the first graduate in the whole of black Africa. Itsekiris were far more organized than igbos when the Europeans came, so much so that the Europeans saw us as allies and not slaves. Now how many igbo names can compete with Nana of koko, Alfred Rewane, Okotie-eboh, Edremoda and a host of others I cannot recall from the top of my head now. even one of the world's richest man Diende Fernandez has itsekiri blood and we do not brag about him. who is uduaghan and itse sagay in itsekiri land? my brother get some education on Nigeria's history to cure your ignorance. |
shine eye: we want Biafra or free igbo territories because we are tired of fake love among us from the other side.Is only our oil they are after but they will not allow to rule nigeria in peace eg GEJTwo questions: 1 . If what you are seeking is true love from the other side, how is Biafra or in other words free igbo territories going to help you achieve that? 2. How much oil exactly do you have in alaigbo, just give me the data on proven oil reserves to support your allegations that they are only after alaigbo oil. |
We are getting tired of the cacophony of noises coming out from BIafrans. What exactly is their demands? we hear we want to leave Nigeria because Nigeria is holding them down, another day we will hear we want to leave because an igbo man has not been given the presidency of Nigeria other times we hear amalgamation was a mistake and the igbos never wanted a united Nigeria (meanwhile the forget to tell us that the igbos were the main promoters of Nigeria pre- independence ) What exactly do the biafran want? Are they saying the cannot live with other Nigerians? in that case are they prepared to leave other Nigerian cities and states and head back to their states where they would feel comfortable with their brothers? Are they so obsessed with an igbo man answering the title president, that they would not mind slicing up a portion of nigeria just for that purpose? I for one do not care whether biafra happens or not, as long as they do not come near warri (I mean any of the three warri local governments). But I will be weary of having a very unstable country as a neighbour because succession among igbos is usually a very acrimonious affair, so one can imagine what the fight to bear the title president would entail ( an example of what is happening in south Sudan ) So bring forward your proposals on your Biafra? what are the boundaries? how do you hope to relate with the others, especially other tribes of the south south who have access to the sea. So far all we have heard are hollow emotional outbursts with no concrete proposal or plan |
How can efcc arrest legislators over a mere budget proposal? I do not understand, what exactly is the crime? And under what section of the nigerian constitution gives powers to efcc to vet budget proposals of states. I am sure the lawmakers were taken to Abuja for some other purpose, maybe to talk them into not decampting with their governor or even to plan impeachment scerenios. |
You fvcked up. Ladies need MEN who can make them feel safe. You should have done everything possible to protect her. Are you sure the so called cousin is not molesting her at home, because it is unusual for a mere cousin to be that jealous of their female cousins to the point of rage. He sounds like someone trying to assert his authority. What is the exact nature of their relationship? The term cousin-brother is too vague. |
2s£xy:My broda, thank you for caring. I have been having lots of challenges - family and healthwise, and we shall prevail. I am trying to organize my business and have been busy looking for finances. will let you know when we talk through phone or email Wish you a very merry Xmas. |
As I said gather your evidence and Sue. I wish more Nigerians are encouraged to go to courtrooms and see lots of useless cases on trial. I have been in court where a man (he was a lawyer ) took his neighbor to court because of noise they make during daily night prayers, the prayer warriors (husband and wife ) were on their knees in court begging for forgiveness (that is after almost boasting that they have the right to worship their God as they please earlier ) and went on to sign an undertaken never to make noise again. |
This post shows why Nigeria is in the sorry state it is, an individual is infringing on your rights to peace and quiet and people are advocating prayers or she should run. So what happens if there is a worse person in the place they run to? She should run again. In life you do not run from problems, you face them. In this era of readily available communication gadgets, you are here complaining. This your case is a simple case, all you have to do is record all the calls on your phone, store all the text messages. If he calls ask him politely first that he should stop harassing you, that you are a happily married woman. If he continues threaten him with legal action. If he still persists, then take all your evidences and make a formal complaint at the nearest police station. INSIST of charging the matter to court. Get a lawyer and file a case of sexual harassment, threat to life and any other charge the lawyer can come up with. Once the case has been charged to court, he dares not greet you goodmorning or he will be committed to prison for the duration of the trial. |
Havilah93: In response to this thread created some days agosee bullocks, I have not read such nonsense for a very long time. This post will only make sense at a church sermon where any thing preached by the pastor is taken as Gospel truth without questions. I know the OP did not write the above, but he/she should have read it properly before copying and pasting here, at least the original thread was original. now let's even analyze the points. 1. Sex is a powerful force that can destroy if not used properlyIs the above quote a scientific statement, a Biblical fact or a spiritual pronouncement? because on all three it is a fallacy. do you even know what a force is? how is sex between 2 humans or even 2 animals able to have the power of atomic bomb? Sex primary purpose is to ensure survival of a specie, so it is wired into our DNA. it is controlled by instinct, like hunger and fear. It is not controlled by the brains and so it can be suppressed temporarily but cannot be eliminated (that is in a healthy adult ). Even spiritually, the most powerful creative force is imagination and not sex. To continue later … |
instead of Anambra indigenes to be grateful to Ngige for breaking the stranglehold of the Ubas on Anambra's treasury, they are captivating him for joining a Yoruba party. I wish Ngige had continued paying N10 million monthly (in fact he should have upped it to N20 million ), I am sure he would have completed his two terms peacefully and handed over to Andy Uba to continue the looting. |
To me Jonathan should not have been seeking a second term. This is because he promised his political godfather's, and his party that he will seek only one term in order to secure their support. I believe a master stroke would have maintained he will not seek reelection, unify the party, dangle the presidency before ambitious governors (they would support him with their life ), then at the last moment support an ignore candidate for the president (even if with another promise of one term only promise ). This way there would not be enough time for dissenters to fight back and Jonathan would have been a hero in Nigeria. |
jamace: War is not a bad thing. War is just the other side of peace.I do not believe a human being wrote the above. War is not a bad thing? Do you have cable TV at all, do you see pictures of immense sufferings by millions of Syrians as a result of a senseless war? Syria is in such a mess today with so many foreign fighters dividing up the country, each with different agenda. this will be the same scenario if Nigeria goes to war. SO what conditions exist in Nigeria that is worse that war? what anarchists advocating for war do not realize is that a war in the 21 century is |
papparatzzi2013: @ wirinet and ijaw_citizenMy friend no mind those my ijaw brothers, dem too get mouth, so at times e good make we pull their legs also. The funniest thing was that during the height of the conflict me and my ijaw friends in Lagos were having a good time, in fact one of them organized a contract for me to furnish 10 units of legislative quarters in Yenagoa and I still went to Yenagoa. to attend a cousin's marriage to a pure ijaw babe. |
ijaw citizen: All this is news to me, pls tell me more.Gosh see stupid logic, so because all the important political posts under Jonathan has been dominated by ijaws and igbos, the rest especially the Yorubas should pick up arms and kill every ijaw in sight. I am telling you what happened from first hand information and you are here making conjectures. Did you know the supply route to food to ijaw villages? I will not tell you but go and ask how villages were starved during the tail end of the conflict. YOU can believe whatever you want, but you should ask why was it that it was after the defeat of the ijaws in warri and the itsekiris began their offensive that a truce was called? |
OPC.NAIRALAND:Oton Iwere dede je. Omere, mo kin aghan dede keren o |
atlwireles: You are the same person that did not know, there was an amphibious barrack (David Ejoor) on NPA expresswayOk, I did not know that the David Ejoor barracks is an amphibious brigade, I only go to warri and my ancestorial if there are occasion or when I need to attend town meetings. I live in Lagos and I am the secretary of our town's development association. What pissed me off is your boastings and threats, and reminding me of the unnecessary and senseless conflict of 2009 - 2005, whereby both sides recorded huge loses in terms of resources and human resources. I lost a first cousin, my village was razed to the ground - twice, my old mother in excavos was in the bush for 3 days. The Ijaws themselves recorded huge losses. So it is annoying for you to come here boasting of that unfortunate saga. I see ijaws as our neighbour and brother. If they want us to live brotherly like we had done in the past, we will gladly accord them our hands in friendship, but if they feel because they outnumber us and so no not have the right to live, then we will return aggression for aggression. please note the itsekiri man does not believe in employing violence in resolving disputes but through the legal process. But that is not a sign of weakness. |
atlwireles: Young man go look and count the graves of the dead iteskiris from the 90s and 2000s crises you might understand better. Is that so? No ijaw graves were counted as a result of the crisis, abi? You people attacked defenses women and children in villages and towns, unprovoked for up to 5 years, and you are forming bravery here. You should know that the itsekiris were not prepared at all for the conflict. We did not realize the ijaws were that barbaric, killing children, pregnant women and the aged. It took use a while to realize that the conflict was simply about claiming itsekiri land for your phantom Tori-obe state. but go and ask ijaw survivors when the tried to take over warri. It was a slaughter. It was you people that ran to Abuja and Asaba asking for truce. Also go and ask Ijaw villages how we starved them by cutting off all supply routes. I hate to see Ijaws and Itsekiri kill each other but my blood boils when Ijaws feel they have monopoly of violence. This alliance with the Yoruba has always been there, we do not need anybody's permission to align with our Yoruba brothers, just as the ijaws did not need any permission from any other tribe to form an alliance with the igbos. everyone is preparing for a post Nigeria future. |
This is the quote I find instructive; Sources said that at the meeting, the first lady made it clear that thePatience Jonathan thinks that under PDP she has the power to determine the governorship candidate of all the PDP states. No wonder they are defecting in droves. She is telling us that the primaries are a charade. I doubt a northern governor will beg a woman to remain governor. Her saying that she would impede efforts of the governors to hand pick their successor makes nonsense of her husband's argument for a single tenor of 6 years for executives. It shows the fight for who becomes president or governor will still be acrimonious as two terms of 4 years. |
ckkris: Does Igbo culture permit anyone to kneel before another? ABOMINATIONAre you saying that an ignore man cannot marry a Yoruba girl? Because before a Yoruba parent give you his daughter in marriage, you, your friends and well wishers go kneel until you knees Peel. |
Kx: If Vanguard did not obtain her confirmation and consent in writing, I'd advise them to immidiately commence voluntary winding down the company before the court process sets in.If vanguard does not have iron clad evidence that the said letter was indeed fomented Iyabo Obasanjo, then they better start bankruptcy proceedings. Baba would fight them with all his resources. Uncle sam, better get at least 5 SANS ready for the battle of your life. Baba no dey hear sorry o. |
I am having a hard time relating the headline to the story. Where is the story on why Iyabo gave up on her dad? |
The last time we attempted a national conference, it was over shadowed by third term for Obasanjo. I hope this national conference will not be mainly about 2nd term for Jonathan or an extension of his first term. A proper constitution conference cannot be rush. Ordinary preliminary ground works for the conference that was to take a couple of months have stretched several months. Some core areas of disputes such as derivation formula, resources control and power sharing formula would take years to negotiate. Ordinary less than 10 items being negotiated by 2 parties - ASUU and FG took 6 months and almost led to "war " and you expect hundred of contentious issues by hundreds of tribes that make up Nigeria to take a few months. And we have not considered the time all the proposals will spend in the national assembly. Some proposals have been in he national assembly since 1999. That is after going through the whole 36 state assemblies. Meanwhile president Jonathan does not have 2/3 majority support in the states and national assembly. |
As I said, the letter might have expressed the general view of obasanjo 's family members and that of Iyabo. But I am certain Iyabo did not write the said letter. To what end would abusing her father in public? Immediately the letter called Obasanjo stupi.d, I knew it was from someone pursuing a vendetta. Iyabo I am sure is one of the few people that would inherit billions of dollars from the father, not to talks of shares, investments, bonds and properties around the world as she is the closest child to baba, I doubt she would want to trade that for a few millions or position in government. She has absolutely no reason for writing the letter, the letter did not even express how her father offended her. The lame excuse that the father abandoned her and her siblings is too common in black Africa and the black world in general to be news worthy. Men from the nigerdelta are notorious for abandoning their wife and children once they find a finer younger one, you don't see the children calling him stupid to his face. This letter was probably written to distabilize baba psychologically |
Very incisive letter although I doubt it was written by Iyabo herself, because I know it is near impossible for a Yoruba daughter to use such abusive and disrespectful words on her father, even if he is a mad murderer. For example: We, your family, have borne the brunt of your direct cruelty and also sufferedNo Yoruba daughter or son would call his father stu.pid in public. I feel the letter was written on behalf of Iyabo by someone very close to her, maybe a family member or even Gbenga getting back at baba. Iyabo has no motif for writing an insultive letter to her father unprovoked at this time, given that she was one of his few children that is still on speaking terms with OBJ and she was the only child that benefited from OBJ. Having said that, I believe everything the letter said. OBJ not does have any other interest than his selfish interest. He manipulates everybody including international organizations. Meanwhile Jonathan is one of OBJ 's manipulations, he single handedly imposed Yaradua and Jonathan on Nigerians. Jonathan was never the candidate of the Ijaws not to talk of nigerdelta. he had no ambition of even becoming governor not to talk of becoming president. OBJ's main goal is to be able to manipulate the president from the background. He found in Yaradua medical weakness and found in Jonathan lack of ambition and character weakness. But he has since found out he was wrong, Jonathan is indeed very ambitious. |
Kachi188: Finance Minister, Dr. Ngozi , said on Tuesday that theAbeg whish one be intact again. E be like say i need to go to Cambridge to understand engrish o. So does of una when go school helep me translate, the $50 billion dey central bank account or not? |
djon78: The problem with most of you is that you live on the past not knowing that the times that we are in now is much different and complex era. The biafran and ijaw chest beaters you are talking about are your fellow countrymen, bonafide first class citizens of Nigeria like every other parts. Not era where one part was lording it over other parts and like I said before coup is impossible in this present era because even the military composition of those coup eras sided one side but now there is nothing like that there is almost a balance so mr forget about coup happening.I never denied My igbo brothers (in fact in-laws) and Ijaw neighbours (we have a shared history dating. hundreds of years ), What I am trying to point out is all the boosts of we will go to war is just empty threats. War takes years of preparation, planing and finance unless you have the backing of the the world powers. I do not see any area lording it over other parts, what I see is a class of people oppressing other classes. The political class has turned themselves into lords as they have special privileges, special wages, and are above the law. it does not matter if they are Hausa, yoruba or igbo. Their attitude is summerized by Oshiomole's "go and die " attitude. If the arguments are about the split within the military is what makes a coup impossible, I would not argue. But someone saying that it is the fear of militants or Biafrans that discourages a military coup is laughable. |
Biafran Igbos and militant Ijaws have one thing in common - chest beating. They pound their chest louder than a silver back gorilla trying to show he is the alpha male. Who says a coup cannot succeed? That was what the Muslim Brotherhood thought in Egypt until they were booted out by the military. And up till today nothing dey happen. The only obstacle to a successful coup is the unity of the military, especially the army. If the military is not divided, there is nothing anybody or group can do. Maybe all these chest beaters have never experienced a military coup. When a military occurs, it is akin to a war situation until the coup plotters take full control of the country. The army rolls out tanks into the streets, the army occupies all strategic installations and areas. Airports, seaports and borders are closed and every relevant person in the government is killed or arrested. You think militants, biafrans and even Boko harm can face tanks, planes and artillery fire. Pray we never experience another coup and an opposed bloody coup for that matter. If a bloody coup should happen most of our politicians would jump into their private jets and zoom off, Asari. and tompolo be in Benin Republic tending their businesses and their wealth. It is me and you - Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, Ijaw, Idoma, etc, that will suffer the consequence. |
Different strokes for different folks. I for one prefer defining My relationships from the word go. I know a long friendship does not guarantee a successful marriage or relationship and a short short or no courtship or friendship does not guarantee a failed relationship. I have a friend who slept with a lady the first day they met and they have been married for 16 years now. Humans are too complex to generalize. As I said I prefer to define My intentions from the beginning as I would hate wasting time pretending i am interested in a friendship, when what I want is a relationship only to be disappointed later. |
leggo: they were arrested because they were in the vicinity of a robbery. Are you sure we are reading the same report? let me quote the whole report for you so you can show me where it says they were arrested for for being in the vicinity of a robbery. FreeGlobe: ADO-EKITI — The Ekiti State Police CommandIf you have the capacity to read and comprehend you will see that the robbery took place in Ikere at about 5:30PM and the so called ritualists were arrested in. Ijare - a border town between Ekiti and Ondo. at about 3:00 am, so. how are you able to tie the two events together. You people have to learn to live and let live. every body has the right to worship as he pleases within the ambit of the law. |
Was this conjectures created to justify the alleged looting of our treasuries by Jonathan, his ijaw brothers and his biafran collaborators? |
FreeGlobe: with calabash and goats indeed. You feign ignorance to the fact that these folks kill human beings and use them for these rituals.Ignorance of what? If they were caught with dead human beings, that would be a crime of murder and they should be prosecuted as such. But performing rituals at Idanre hills or any other place in adherent of African Traditional Religion in no way constitute a crime. |
The last time i checked Nigeria is a secular nation, meaning you cannot be discriminated upon based on religion. if Christians are allowed to perform night vigils with announcing oils, candles and other objects, African Traditional Religions should also be allowed to perform night vigils with calabash and goats. it is nobody's business as long as they did not commit a crime. |

I am not Ijaw, I don't need to be told stories of the Warri crises by you or anybody. If you think, Ijaws are your problem, then you clearly have never lived in Warri and you don't have anything to say. As, I have always maintained the Urhobos own their part of Warri, when you cross that line, we will show you the boundary. When you cross the Ijaw line, they will show you their boundary.Take your alliance to Ode Itsekiri and celebrate there. Warri is a three tribal town. Stop causing confusion, that always destroys your people for no reason. I never understand, why you people always start a fire, that ends up consuming you. You will begin to cry ethnic cleanising
