HH: Do you mean there are no future leaders in the other 4000 lives wasted? what happened in the case of Abiola? was he an ordinary citizen?I am talking about present leaders, people dont know who their future leaders are, they pledge allegience only to current leaders. Abiola's case almost lead to war, until the matter was resolved politically by bribing Yoruba Leaders and handing power to Abiala's Kinsman. Do you know how many people lost their lives during the June12 crisis. And that June12 crisis shaped the destiny of Nigeria. |
Sorry to tell you the truth, but YES, Buhari's life is more important than others. Buhari's assassination would have plunged Nigeria into a serious war - Civil War II. It is only me that said so, you president is also of that opinion. In human societies, leaders are more important than ordinary citizens like you and me. An Assassination of President Jonathan also would lead to a serious conflict. The second World War (WWI) was triggered by the assassination of one man - Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and millions of people died as a result. Even the Nigerian Civil War was triggered by the Assassination of prominent northern leaders like Ahmadu Bello and Tafa Balewa. |
wazoboy: a disease surfaced on african soil, is killing africans in drove, not yet among the whites, but they are already reporting a cure for this disease! My brother that is the bane of we blacks. We are only interested in enjoyment and merriment and let others do the hard work for us. After all we have oil, gold and diamond in the soil to sell to the hard working Europeans and Asians. It is embarassing that it is Europeans and Asians that is thinking about solving our problems. They help US invent drugs for malaria even though it is purely black mans disease, the same for Sickle Cell Disorder and now they are working hard at solving our Ebola disease. You wonder what they do in our universities and research institutes. |
Fulaman198: No! why the heck are useless threads created like this all sometimes? I can tell you that Fulani people feel no inferiority complex to anyone. Those who are feeling inferior to whites just know that you are just inferior in general. It's not black people that are inferior, it is you as an individual with your uneducated mind that is inferior. No one is better than me. I say this with extreme confidence as I stand tall at my 190cm height proud to be African. My Fulani brother, Threads like this are not useless, they should prompt us to take a critical look at ourselves and see where we have gone wrong. Black Africa has imbibed all the wrong values from time immemorial and we refuse to change. On an individual and anatomical level we are equal to all other races on earth, but on a social level, we are well behind. We have never been able to create a strong and viable social organization that will ensure our collective survival. The Fulani people are indeed inferior to the Arabs, that is why they were conquered by Arabs and have been subsumed by Arab language, culture and religion. The sad aspect is that even if your people think, dress and worship Arabic Gods, the Arabs still see your people as grossly inferior to them. |
aryzgreat: God bless Asaba! What of Ibrahim Babangida? He also participated in the "murder" of Igbos during the war, But he, singlehandedly is responsible for making Asaba what it is today. Is he a villian or a foe. Besides, why is your hatred directed at Murtala, he was only carrying out orders. The C in C was Gowon, so responsibility for anything during the war should be directed at him. Then what of Obasanjo, he was the second in command to Murtata and he was actually responsible for the successful crossing of the river niger at Asaba. |
It is as clear as day and night that the whites (by whites i mean caucasians and asians) are more advanced than we the Negroids. They are more advanced scientifically, technologically, socially and even spiritually. This can easily bee seen in their literacy, mathematics and achievements. In fact they taught us every thing we know, they taught us alphabets, numbers, geometry and even writing. Without our contact with the white man, most black societies would still be in hunting and gathering stage. Rossikki: Honest? So why didn't they tell you the truth when invading you by stating they were coming to loot your resources instead of handing you a bible and pretending they were angels, when even they themselves don't venture near church? Also, why did they sign so many treaties with pre-colonial African chiefs which were deceptive, and led to large tracts of land being 'transferred' to them? Why did they invent an elaborate pack of lies simply in order to invade Iraq, kill 1 million people, and seize her oil and gas assets, worth several trillion dollars? Why do they use their agencies like the CIA to clandestinely support, arm and fund terrorist and rebel groups in order to destabilize countries they wish to invade, and then arrive as ''saviours'', to loot and destroy what's left? All you wrote shows that indded they are more superior. In the natural world, the term survival of the fittest is the golden rule. A stronger animal, specie or sub-specie will attempt to subdue and exploit a weaker one. They exploited us yesterday and would continue to exploit us tomorrow because the are stronger or superior. God forbid, they is a war between blacks and whites, we would be hunted and rendered extinct like Homo Neanderthalis. We blacks are simply too socially and spiritually deficient to see beyond our personal or tribal immediate gains. We cannot fanthom the concept of sacrifice for the societal good(apologies to Mandiba). The Arabs and Europeans completely dominated us to the extent, half of Africa think like and Arab, dress like an Arab, speak like and Arab and worship Arabic Gods, while the other half think, speak, speak and worship like an European. Rossikki: So why did they need to import ''non-hardworking'' Africans to build America, Europe and the New World via the slave trade?Because they accepted the fact that they are inferior to us in terms of physical strenght and desease resistance, but are superior technologically, militarily and intellectually. So they used what they have to get what they wanted. Rossikki: Why are millions of them dependent on welfare benefits and food stamps to survive? Why should you consider them more hardworking than the average African who works ten times harder than them to earn a living? How many of them can sell Gala on the street for one hour? Or wake up at 4am to set up their fruit stall at Oshodi? Or work a farm from dawn to sunset?Because they are socially superior to realize that a social equilibruim has to exist whereby the poor are not let in abject poverty, while the rich would live in stupendous wealth. A society built on wide social imbalance almost always lead to destruction of such society. So They go to great lenghts to make sure the poor is able to survive well enough. The Blacks are well endowed for physical work while the whites have intellectual superiority. While a black man would be running after cars on the expressway to sell Gala all day, a white man would simply instal a vending machine and anybody who want to buy gala would come down from his/her car and slot a coin and voila, gala would pop out. Oyinbo no like to do wahala. Rossikki: So how come millions of them are drowning in credit card debt amounting to countless billions of dollars? How come they are the largest consumers of drugs and alchohol in the world, and hold world records for divorce, teenage pregnancies and paedophilia? They drown in debt because they control the world economy. They control the prices of everthing and they decide when to pay their debt. They consume large quantities of drugs, alchohol, etc, because they have been able to fulfil most of their basic needs, so they are looking for challenges and means of recreation. We on the other hand spend most of our energy and days on basic survival, like looking for food, water, shelther, etc. Rossikki: The average white person has no more of a ''scientific approach to issues'' than anyone else. Contrary to your colonial hallucinations, the average white person is just as ordinary in thought and conceptualization as other people on earth. For many, solving their ''issues'' is done by recourse to drink, drugs, gambling, suicide, sexua.l perversion, infidelity and other vices. You will also find in the west the world's largest concentration of psychics, palm readers, tarot specialists, mediums, seers, gurus, and witches, with countless millions seeking answers to their ''issues'' from such characters. This is a joke right? Black man having scientific approach? To a black man, mental disease is a spiritual attack from the village. The solution to childlessness is a pastor, jujuman or alfa. |
kettykin: is Onitsha also civil service city, if Lagos is expanding towards ogun , what makes you think Onitsha does not expand towards AsabaYou people have a psychological condition, you really need the services a shrink. Using lagos as an example is stupid. Lagos is expanding outwards, the same reason Abuja is expanding outwards, it was the Federal Capital and is still a state capital. Meanwhile Asaba is developing because it is the state capital of the second highest producing state in the nation, It has nothing to do with the "industiousness" of the Igbos. You people are so obsessed with Yorubas, it is beyond belief. Any one that deflates your overbloated ego must be Yoruba. Well, i am through with this useless thread. Believe anything that enables you love yourself. |
kettykin: is Onitsha also civil service city, if Lagos is expanding towards ogun , what makes you think Onitsha does not expand towards AsabaWhy do you people like unnecessary chest beating. First you are talking about Asaba and not Onitsha. Then are you insinuating that it was Onitsha that was responsible for the development of Asaba? Are you saying that it was Onitsha money that developed Asaba. I am from warri. I was in Asaba in 1993, the year it became the state capital and i have been going to Asaba ever since. I have lots of family and friends residing in Asaba (mainly politicians). And i can tell you that Asaba is basically a civil service state. Without it being a capital, it would not be different from any other Anioma town like Ogwashi-Uku or Ibusa. |
What are you insinuating by this useless thread? That The "industrious" Igbos developed Asaba, the way the Gwaris developed Abuja? Please tell me what the Asaba Economy is based on. Asaba is a civil service economy, pure and simple. |
juman: We need more than 50 universities more in this country. In a country of over 200,000,000, how many universities can you build? Even with 50 more universities, you can only admit 500,000 more students (assuming each university can accommodate 10,000 students). And we are not even talking about the staff(both academic and non-academic) to man these universities. Then after Graduation, where will all the graduates find Jobs? Is it sensible for a student to study law or accountancy for five years only to drive dangote trucks? We need to change our educational system that emphasizes paper qualifications as against technical, enterpreneural and innovative skills. That is why we keep churning out graduates that can hardly fill forms or speak a complete sentence in english. |
eaglechild: Even though all is subject to the president, he still reaches out humbly. In a democracy you are talking about subjects? you really need to go back to JSS to study Government. |
Gradually, the wishes of a section of the country is coming true, Nigeria is gradually sliding into Civil War II(CWII). It would have kicked started yesterday if Buhari had been murdered. But the evil day had just been postponed, it is almost inevitable now. All the ingredients for a civil war is in place, Hatred between the north and east, hatred between the east and west, hatred between Muslims and christians, hatred between the main political parties, runaway corruption, gross socio-economic inequality, etc. The only remaining thing for a full blown civil war is a trigger. And almost certainly, the 2015 elections would produce enough trigger with fuel added. So are you people wishing for a civil war prepared? have you armed yourselves adequately in terms of Ammuniton, training and logistics? Because the way i see it the dynamics of CWII would not be too different from CWI. Old alliances is still in place. You cannot rely on war mongers like Dokubo and co, when the situation becomes too volatile, they would retreat to their safe havens in Benin Republic. Ghana and westerns Nations like UK and the US. The political elites would retire to their mansions in London, Newyork, Dubai and so on. and would only come back to take over again after we decimate ourselves. So Oya lets contine the Hate Game and war monging, after all, it is said we are overpopulated. A CWII would certainly reduce our population by half. |
If a governor is to be impeached for raising chickens in his official resident, what about a president that raises dogs in Aso rock? The animals are even budgeted for in our budget. Clowns. |
Arguing with you guys is like arguing with my 3 year old son. Senseless and uncoodinated. anonimi: Well here you are from the UPDATED Premium Times report on her CLAIMED "arrest":Where did you read that Mrs Ezekwelisi was detained from 7.37 to 7.55? It says she tweeted at 7.37 and was released at 7.55, which is just 5 mins from the 8:00 take off time. If you have travelled before you will know that travellers are to start boarding at least 1 hr before flight time. The report said everyone was boarded except Ezekwelisi and the plane had to wait for her before it taxied. The question should be why was she the only one held? did other passengers go through the same lenghty detention and seizure of passport? The SSS should explain further why it was only Mrs Ezekwelisi that underwent lenghty "security" checks. anonimi: Can you see where she said "no one can seize my democratic rights"The issue of a passport being a right as against a priviledge is a legal issue and i think the issue had been thrashed out at the courts (lawyers can educate us further on this). anonimi: The DSS says her passport was not seized even though they are CONSTITUTIONALLY empowered as a law enforcement agent of the FRN. not soAgain where did you get the notion than SSS (or any other security agency) has the powers to seize our passports. Where in our constitution did you read that? The only agency of government that can seize passport is the judiciary - the courts. Agencies of government need a court order before passports can be seized. The revocation of a passport is another matter altogether, I am not sure of the procedure, but i think it would involve the ministry of internal affairs. But definitely, SSS do not have the powers to revoke a citizen's passport. anonimi: Again, we should be CAREFUL to be well informed and apply a reasonable amount of common logic so we are no longer treated as MUGUs by our politicians.Honestly you have no idea of what democratic Governance is or how a government functions. To you all government starts and stops with the use of force by the president. |
Emyo: Any state that want to continue with this can hide under the umbralla of registering the entire occupants of his state no matter your origin. By so doing you will be able to ascertain the numeber of foriengners in a state. How is this greater then Boko HaramNice idea. The only problem is "who is a foreigner?" Is it the man from Imo residing in Abia or the man from Anambra residing in Warri? or the Lebanese residing in Abuja. Please define who a foreigner is. |
anonimi: It seems the TRUTH is finally revealing itself, to wit:Where did you get your truth from? are you the SSS official that stopped her or the spokesman of SSS? Because from SSS accounts, they only denied arresting her, they did not give details of what transpired. Why don't you guys demand for details of the incident before jumping into conclusion. You can demand from either Madam Ezekwelisi herself or the SSS, before to start to crucify her. The parts of the passport you quoted has no bearing whatsoever on the matter at hand. First SSS denied seizing her passport, so i do not understand how the example of revoking snowden's passport comes in here. Was her passport revoked? can SSS revoke a citizen's passport? This quote These are to request[b] in the name of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria all those whom it may concern to allow the bearer to pass freely without let or hindrance and to afford him or her every assistance and protection of which he or she may be in need.does nothing to support your argument, in fact it kills it. This quote also applies to the SSS. So the SSS is obliged to offer her every assistance and protection as long as she is a law abiding citizen. As i said i do not have the details of what happened, but one thing is certain, Madam Oby was not pleased at how she was treated. |
yorke1: I so much love most of the reply to her tweets. Is she above the law? What did she achieve as Minister of Education for 8 years? Rubbish Oby being a stooge Tinubu and Buhari since 2007.You people are just expressing hatred on the woman because she is asking President Jonathan to do the needful and bring back our girls (or at least make an attempt to rescue the girls). She was a vice president of world bank for God sake, she would have travelled out of Nigeria hundreds of times. If she complains of bad treatment from SSS, it means the SSS went beyond the usual security routine of interrogating intending travellers. Where did you paid hacks get the idea that Oby Ekwesili was minister of education for 8 years? are you people that ignorant or delibrately spreading falsehood? |
peleson: Nawaoo o fmr minister of education can't spell correctly even with aided device effects. No wonder naija b like ds.And you can spell better than her, meaning you possess higher qualifications and achievements. Maybe your role models - the Jonathans can spell better. Honestly, you talk like a stark illiterate. So to you, the job of an education minister is to build universities. what then is the job the petroleum minister? to build refineries? Besides Ezekwelisi was education minister for less than 2 yrs, she spent more time in due process office. You have evidence that the national assembly budgeted money for the establishment of federal universities and Ezekwelisi stole the money into her private pockets? please provide links. So because she is not a saint, she has no right to ask for the right thing to be done. In that case, who is saintly enough to ask questions of the government or are you saying that since there are no saints in Nigeria, our governments are not responsible to all Nigerians. |
The same way Igbo governors are making Igbo states better, igbo chairmen are making igbo local governments better, igbo Ezes are making igbo communities better and igbo ministers are making igbo lives better. |
IdiatFF: I think this is a wrong move for Joyce Banda and her cabinet; this is very un-African. When will African countries stop been beggar nations? Malawi has shown that it's a beggar nation by this act. It's an act of cowardice and it thus confirms what Ms Dambisa Moyo argued in her book 'Dead Aid'. Our leaders are just too lazy and very uncreative. What has Banda done to making sure Malawi moves away from depending on aid from these western countries who never mean well for her country? .. mtchew!!!!!!!!What is unafrican about homosexualism? It has been with Africa since time began. Persecution of Gays in Europe was as bad if not worse than what is obtained in Africa right now, they learnt to tolerate gays after their society became less religious and enlightened. Africa is still in it's dark age, so religious fanatism, ignorance, poverty, disease and other malady control our lives. What exactly is African? worshipping Arab and Jewish Gods? Wearing European cloths? speaking European languages, naming our children after European legends and hero's? or our women straightening their hair and toning their skins to mimic Europeans? Please don't make me laugh. |
Mustay: This cause had been verified before posting. If this story is true, then my heart goes to the poor girl. But BRAIN TUMOUR? That one pass medicine o!!!!. What medical procedure do they they want to perform on the girl? Brain Surgery or brain transplant? Are they going to Excise the tumour cells? Brain cells cannot be replaced. And i have never heard of somone being cured of brain cancer using medical procedure before. So to me the story get as e be. |
It depends on what the Christian understands by the word CHURCH is. If a church means a building where people sing, rejoice and get entertained while tithing and offering to pastors, then it would be foolhardy to offer self a sacrifice to boko boys. But if it mean a group of brethren congregating in any safe location and continuing their service and worship, then it would be impossible for boko to stop such church. |
striktlymi: Tell us the difference between a baby and a foetus. Your appeal to law is not satisfactory. Some countries have laws that contradicts you greatly. Tell us again how a baby is different from a foetus. If you read my post that you quoted, you will see that I already differentiated a fetus from a baby. But if by chance you were blind to it, then I will simplify it for you. The difference between a fetus and a baby is being born. That is why the term is aptly term "abortion ". the baby was aborted. in other words the process of the fetus becoming a baby was aborted. Please tell us the country that equate a fetus to a child. Tell us the country that says you can murder an unborn baby instead of aborting it. striktlymi: I hope you do understand the meaning of "essentially"? If you don't, then I'd suggest you school yourself a bit before quoting me. I am not in the mood to school anyone today.please explain how adding essentially equates abortion to murder or even manslaughter to murder. Murder is a legal term as opposed to just killing, so I wonder how you can define murder without it's legal meaning. |
ledafaze: What is murder and in what circumstances is it used?Get a dictionary or better still use Google to learn what murder is. |
striktlymi: Abortion is essentially murder!!! It is tough to have a child who has one deformity or another. Indeed the dependence on the family or as you put it "liability" on the family is not only great materially but also huge emotionally on both the child and the family.it seems you and lots of anti abortionists misunderstand simple terms or are being deliberately dishonest. A baby is quite different from a fetus. A fetus become a separate legal entity the second it is born and the umbilical cord severed, before that it is a fetus and it's rights are tied to the mother. you cannot murder a fetus, you can only murder a baby. Then murder itself has to satisfy certain legal requirements before it can be termed murder. That is why all killings cannot fall under murder. There is manslaughter and killing for self defense and even killing under war. |
temigracie: to some pple, abortion is equivalent to murder..whil to some oda pple its just a normal thing....okay,i ll like to direct dis questn to dos wu feel or wu blive its a modern way of murder....in school,we learnt dat dere r several types of congenital anomaly a baby or fetus can have....sometimes it might b life threatening to both d mother and d fetus as well....in a case where,d scan revealed some really really negative thing abt d baby ...for example, a baby with one eye, mental impairment etc....bringing d baby to world, u deprive d baby of its social right,u lock him or her indoor...dont u think dats a sin already....y not do d needfulForget congenital anomaly, a woman should not be forced to keep a baby she is unwilling or incapable of loving just because she had a few minutes of sexual pleasure. Some women are even willing to care of babies with congenital abnormalities. The decision should be that of the woman (or couple ) involved and not a doctor, priest or friends. I see anti abortionists as vindictive against the "immoral" woman. The see the baby as a punishment for the woman for daring to have se.x outside their religious code. They might as well stone the woman. They fail to see that the unwanted children and the society suffers more in the long run. If anti abortionists are so concerned about the welfare of unwanted children and the health of women that choose to abort, then they should invest their time and energy on better se.x education for teenage boys and girls and control and standardization of abortion clinics. |
MrAnony1: Abortion - in the broad sense of the word - is equivalent to murderHow is abortion equivalent to murder? define murder and then define abortion and then explain how the two terms can be broadened to mean the same thing. The right to keep or abort a baby should rest on the woman concern, a woman cannot and should not be forced to keep a baby she is not ready to keep and take care of. Except of course, those anti abortionists trying to force others to live by their religious codes volunteer to adopt abandoned and unwanted babies. |
noblezone: At least, he was nothing bombing churches, mosques and markets.Asari a freedom fighter? that is the fallacy of the century? So whose freedom was he fighting for and has the freedom been achieved? Of course he was fighting for the freedom of his pockets or how else could he become a billionaire without ever working in his life, when most niger Delta youths are jobless? While Boko Haram members are traitors and murderers, Asari is a common criminal. If Shakau and his boys are after money like asari and his gang, I am sure they would be richer than them by now. The government will be willing to pay any amount to stop the insurgency |
CyberWolf: why are you crying more than the bereaved?...allow nyako to defend himself in the court of law...Have you seen me defending Nyako? Where have I said he should not be charged to court? What I said is that a charge of treason will not stick according to the legal definition of treason. This government only knows how to charge people to court in the media, they hardly ever actually go to court proper. Upon all the noise about charging Sanusi for "fraud" and for sponsoring terrorism, up till his tenure expired and he became Emir, no case was filled. Now they are charging Nyako with treasonable felony in the media, I am certain that once he is impeached (which appears inevitable ), we would not hear of the charges again. |
munky: it is treason and sedition. any act against the federal republic or against the goodwill of the federal republic by one of its citizen can be termed treason. I think APC should have distanced themselves from that man the minute he wrote that letter. inciting violence is one thing but spreading hate on a specific ethnic group is beyond reproach.where is the treason and sedition in the letter? did it ask for the overthrow of the government? Did the letter call for the assassination of the president? please tell me which ethnic group the letter incited violence against. Igbo or ijaw. Accusations against a sitting president is not the same thing as a treasonable act against the federal republic. What makes OBJ 's letter different from Nyako's letter. I am certain a charge of treason will not fly at the courts. |
I am amazed beyond belief at the comments and attitude of some Nigerians, they seem to be fueled by hatred for anybody and everybody else save themselves and their kinds, so much so that they have lost their humanity. After the Abduction of the school girls, they launched a campaign against finding the girls with the propaganda that the abductions was a scam. They reasoned that over 250 girls cannot be kidnapped at once, even after the kidnappings were confirmed by boko haram itself (with photos ), by the Nigerian Army, by the US and even by the presidential task force, they still continued with their no girls was kidnapped campaign. Now, we heard that 63 girls escaped from their boko haram captors and even before waiting for full details of the story have gone to town with their the escape is scam propaganda. The amazing thing is that these people are almost always from 1 tribe. The question is what do these people want? to ignore all boko harams attacks and abductions and so allow boko haram free reign to do whatever they want unchallenged? or reporters should stop reporting boko haram activities? |
