Romance / 10 Things Men Don’t Know About Women by Wisdytech(m): 1:56pm On Dec 26, 2014
Men think they know women and everything that comes along with them. However, there are some things that men are still yet to understand about women.

There are so many things that women do that men have no clue about. Even the women might have no clue, but that is just the way we were created. This article would give you a little insight on that.

1. Jumping jacks to fit into our jeans: Guys, did you know how we have to struggle to fit into those tight jeans you think your girlfriend looks pretty in. I am not talking about the boyfriend jeans that are a little baggy. I am referring to those tight skinnys that make her shape look amazing. Well, for ladies, it is a struggle, especially the ladies with really big butts. Sometimes you have to jump for a minimum of five times before the jeans would get to its proposed station where it is supposed to be.

2. Lose the tight clothing: Did you know that women feel a sense of relief when a tight piece of clothing is taken off their bodies. For example, those tight jeans you had to fit into all day for lectures, the office or whatever the case may be. We always feel a sense of relief at the end of the day when that is off. We know how to make everything look so simple.

3. We always know our rivals: For those in a relationship, a girl always knows the girl who likes her boyfriend, the girl who calls the boyfriend “her bestie” but secretly has feelings for him. The other girl who would tell all her problems and look for a shoulder to cry on which she thinks your boyfriend is the best person to fit that slot. The truth is, a girl always knows the cunning ones. Our instincts are the strongest.

4. We check out other girls: A girl always wants to look at the next girl’s outfit. No matter where they are, they always have to stare and what the next girl is wearing. It could be the hair, clothe, slippers etc. We do this a lot and we can’t help it.

5. A woman always looks at herself in a mirror: To further expatiate on this, whenever a woman passes a mirror-like object, it does not necessarily have to be a mirror, she always has to take one last look at herself, or adjust something on her outfit. The truth is, no matter how modest the person might be, this is a trait that cannot leave our female system. It is simply part of our well-being.

6. Never decisive on what to wear: Most women try on about five different clothes and still cannot pick one they want to wear. They say this syndrome is for people who have too many clothes. Most women are indecisive when it comes to clothes especially when they need to go for an event they know they have to dress to oppress. It’s worse when they know their crushes would be attending. As a guy, make sure your girlfriend starts dressing up two hours before you if you know she is this type of person.

7. Most women do not practice what they preach when it comes to love: An example is when they are having boyfriend issues. In the midst of her friends, the woman would tell her friends that she would never call the guy no matter what, she might even end up insulting him all because she’s trying to put on a front. Later at night, when she’s alone, she’d call him and beg him if she has to. Sometimes, she won’t tell her friends that side of the story.

8. We love sleep overs with girlfriends: Whenever we are with our girlfriends, we like to do lots of fun things that the guys might classify boring. We play dress up, talk about boys, play games, make videos or even dance off in front of the mirror. Ladies love to do this. We can go on gisting till 4am if time permits. As much as we want to spend some time with the boyfriend, we also want to play around sometimes with our girlfriends too.

9. Sometimes, we actually want to sleep alone: Most of the time, most guys think every girl wants to cuddle at night. After interviewing many ladies on this topic, I guess we are not always touchy afterall. Sometimes we just want to sleep on the bed alone if possible so we can sleep well. As the boyfriend at times like this, if you are cold, use a blanket!

10. Most women like to be appreciated in public: Now as much as some people do not like public display of affection (PDA), we still like to be appreciated in public. There are other ways to boost our confidence without being too touchy. Tell us we look beautiful when your friends are present, hold our hand in public etc. It just shows we care and women love that.

By Chinenye Ugonna,

The Christmas season is here again. This is the season for celebration, giving and sharing. It can sometimes be difficult to shop for your girlfriend, especially if you are the type that does not know how to shop for women. Here are a few ideas you can use to make your girlfriend happy this Christmas.

1. Chocolate hamper: Now, we have heard how much ladies supposedly love chocolates. You can make a hamper by yourself of her favourite chocolates. This can be accompanied with a cute Christmas card. Ladies, love cute gestures like this. If they know you handpicked and made the hamper yourself, even better.

2. Flowers and a perfume: Although they say that Nigerian ladies do not like flowers, they would definitely appreciate the expensive gesture. You can accompany the flowers with a nice perfume. If she is a lover of perfumes, you can get her designer perfumes that are not too expensive if you do not have enough money to buy something rather pricey.

3. Romantic dinner date: You can surprise her by making dinner reservations at a nice restaurant. If you want the icing on the cake, you can arrange for a dress to be delivered to her for the dinner date. Don’t tell her where you are taking her to. Let her just enjoy the evening. She would love this.

4. Trip to the Calabar carnival: The Calabar carnival takes place every year, around the Christmas season. The hotels are always booked close to December so it is best to book weeks before to make sure your accommodation is set for you.

5. A gift set of personal grooming products: Bath wash, soaps, body sprays and lotions; various cosmetic companies package these as gift baskets. To really win, get her one from anartisinal label.

6. A nice wrist watch: A nice wrist watch can never go wrong. No one can ever have too many wrist watches. Get her a nice wrist watch and surprise her over drinks. She would love that.

Politics / Akpabio, Jang, Imoke, Suswam, Others Donate N1billion To PDP While Owing Workers by Wisdytech(m): 12:11pm On Dec 26, 2014
Akpabio, Jang, Imoke, Suswam, others donate N1billion to PDP while owing workers for months:

As representatives of 21 Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] governors mounted the rostrum Saturday night at the presidential villa in Abuja to announce N1.05 billion in donation to the PDP, back in their respective states, school teachers and other state workers were enduring their second or third month of work without pay.

In some states, the indebtedness to workers stretched a year.

In Ebonyi, authorities owed teachers under the Universal Basic Education scheme nearly 12 months of salaries.

In Abia State, secondary school teachers were last paid in August, while primary school teachers have been owed since October.

In Akwa Ibom State, the nation’s leading oil producer which draws more than triple of what other states receive from the federation account monthly, local government staff were on strike. Before the strike, they were forced to receive half salaries for several months, while authorities claimed they had no money.

In Cross River, the situation had worsened after months of indebtedness that state-run television, the Cross River Broadcasting Corporation, CRBC, shut off production last week.

The station remains off air till date. Other staff fortunate to have received reasonably up-to-date pay, have yet to be paid for November.

But on Saturday night, Cross State governor, Liyel Imoke, stood next to his Bauchi State colleague, Isa Yuguda, as Mr. Yuguda announced to a gleeful president and a shocked nation how the 21 governors who had been struggling to pay salaries long before the present oil crisis, rallied N50 million each in donation to the PDP.

“We may do more in future, but that is what we were able to raise for now,” Mr. Yuguda assured.

In all, the PDP and the president raked in over N21 billion, with donations coming from government contractors, nameless associates, and Tunde Ayeni, the head of Skye Bank, who has bought a string of government assets, including the mega telecoms carrier, NITEL/MTEL, in a process that has already become controversial.

On Monday, Arabian Amlak Investment Limited, one of the 22 companies that bid for NITEL, filed a legal challenge, saying the Nigerian government, through the Bureau of Public Enterprises, deliberately skewed the privatisation process to favour Mr. Ayeni’s company.

As chairman of the PDP fund raiser, Mr. Ayeni donated N2 billion. He announced that he was donating N1 billion on behalf of himself and an unnamed partner, and another two billion on behalf of his friends. After a while, Mr. Ayeni returned to the podium to announce another donation of half a billion naira on behalf of himself and other players in the country’s power sector.

A former Information Minister, Jerry Gana, announced a donation of N5 billion, again, on behalf of his unnamed friends and associates in the power sector.

Other major donors were oil and gas operators– N5 billion; players in Real Estate and Building – N4 billion; Transport and Aviation – N 1billion; Food and Agriculture – N500 million; Power – N500 million; Construction – N310 million; Road Construction – N250 million; National Automotive Association – N450 million; Shelter Development Limited – N250 million; and SIFAX group – N100 million.

But the governors’ donations stood out for many reason, including the fact that workers in many of their states remain without pay for months even with Christmas and New Year around the corner.

In Plateau State, under Jonah Jang, workers are currently owed three months of pay. In Ondo State, Governor Olusegun Mimiko has also failed to pay secondary school teachers and other categories of workers for the last three months.

In Benue State, workers have been at a longstanding confrontation with the governor, Gabriel Suswam, who has yet to pay them for months.

In Abia State, led by Theordore Orji, beside secondary school teachers who were last paid in August, and primary school teachers, last paid in October, secondary school teachers told PREMIUM TIMES on Monday they have not received leave allowances in the last five years.

In Enugu State, civil servants are yet to be paid for November, more than three weeks into the new month. Workers who spoke to PREMIUM TIMES said in past years, the culture was that by now, they would have been paid for December.
On Monday, labour union leaders in the state gave the state governor, Sullivan Chime, a 21-day ultimatum to clear salary backlog and resolve other pending issues relating to staff welfare or face strike.

A statement signed by Igbokwe Igbokwe, the state Chairman of the Joint Public Service Negotiating Council (JPSNC), and the chairmen and secretaries of all labour unions in the state, vowed to commence an indefinite strike January 15, 2015, if the demands are not met.

Akwa Ibom’s case remains one of the most intriguing given the amount the state draws monthly. While other states receive an average of N5billion, Akwa Ibom and Rivers State receive as much as N25 billion monthly as federal allocation.

Still, state workers and pensioners have not received pay for several months, and local government workers are currently on strike.

While the state is not directly responsible for paying local government workers, all states in the country operate a compulsory joint account with local governments, and disbursement of local government funds are carried out by the governors.

Politics / Jonathan’s Christmas Message To Nigerians: Do Good, Support Boko Haram Victims by Wisdytech(m): 11:51am On Dec 25, 2014
Jonathan’s Christmas Message to Nigerians: Do good, support Boko Haram victims, pray for our troops:

Dear Compatriots,

I greet and felicitate with you all once again as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
I join all of our Christian compatriots in giving thanks to God Almighty for the divine gift of Jesus Christ the Messiah whose earthly incarnation we commemorate today.

As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ who the Prophet Isaiah heralded as the Prince of Peace and Wonderful Counselor, I believe it is very appropriate that we all, Christians and non-Christians alike, reflect more deeply on the virtues and ideals which the Messiah espoused during his earthly mission.

To my mind, there can be no doubt that the greater internalization of the virtues of love for our fellowmen, tolerance, Godliness, honesty, fairness to others, selflessness, and peaceful co-existence with others, by all adult Nigerians, and the inculcation of the same in our youth, will definitely help our dear nation to overcome most of its present challenges.

Peace and love for others, especially, were a constant refrain in the Messiah’s teachings and admonitions to mankind.

Therefore, as we celebrate his birth, I urge all Nigerians to offer special prayers for a greater manifestation of divine peace in our country and the vanquishing of all demons of hatred, divisiveness and disunity in our midst.

As we celebrate Christmas, let us also remember and offer special prayers for all of our countrymen, women and children who have suffered and continue to suffer untold hardship, deprivation and death at the hands of terrorists and insurgents.

Let us also continue to pray for our gallant soldiers and security agents who remain at the forefront of the national effort to overcome terrorism and violent extremism, even as the rest of the nation celebrates Christmas and the coming New Year.

In this season of goodwill, I urge all patriotic Nigerians to rededicate themselves to doing all within their powers to support the brave men and women of our armed forces in the ongoing war against terrorism, and also support the Federal Government’s efforts to provide more succour to the hapless victims of terrorist atrocities.
The Victims’ Support Fund which we have established to raise additional funds to assist our compatriots who have been adversely affected by continuing insecurity in parts of our country remains active.

I call on all individuals and corporate organisations who have not yet done so, to donate more generously to the Fund which is being efficaciously deployed to ease the sufferings of victims of terrorist violence in the country.
Dear Compatriots, we are also celebrating this Christmas against the background of preparations for next year’s general elections.

I seize this opportunity to reassure the nation that my administration will give the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) all necessary support to ensure that it delivers very free, fair, credible and acceptable elections in 2015.

National security agencies will also be given all necessary support to enhance their ability to ensure that the elections which should strengthen democracy in our country are peaceful and violence free.

I urge our political class to be law- abiding and place the greater interests of our nation above all personal or sectional interests in the countdown to the elections.

Let us all be more statesman-like, conduct issues-based campaigns, and eschew the promotion of falsehood, division and hatred of others as we seek the votes of our countrymen in what should be a peaceful competition among contending points of view for the progress and development of our dear nation.

I remain convinced that God Almighty is still with us as a nation even in the midst of our current challenges which we shall surely overcome with greater unity of purpose, dedication, commitment and perseverance.

Let this year’s celebration of the birth of Christ the Messiah rekindle, strengthen and reaffirm our faith in our national ability to overcome all challenges, with God on our side.

I wish you all very happy Christmas celebrations.

Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR

President,

Federal Republic of Nigeria

Sports / Keshi Divides NFF by Wisdytech(m): 11:17pm On Dec 24, 2014
Officials of the Nigeria Football Federation are at loggerheads on whether out of contract Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi deserves a new contract, with a majority still seriously opposed to this.

It has exclusively been gathered that a section of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) leadership want Keshi to be given a new contract despite failing to qualify Nigeria to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations so as to, at least, keep their plum jobs.

A top source informed that the group that favours a new contract for the failed coach believes Keshi’s “very powerful friends” will finally accept them if they give him a new deal.

However, this group is opposed by a majority on the NFF executive committee who has stuck to a “unanimous decision” in October to sack Keshi.

It will be recalled that the NFF fired the coach only to later be forced to rescind this decision on the orders of President Goodluck Jonathan.

There is certainly no love lost between Keshi and his employers even before this sensational U-turn and the frosty relationship has been worsened by the Sports Minister’s decision to directly pay the coach 14 million Naira as salaries for his work in October and November.

Most recently several top coaches including Shuaibu Amodu, Christian Chukwu and Adegboye Onigbinde have asked Keshi to walk away from the job because he has failed.

The answer is evidently & surprisingly NO. You’re wondering why?

A closer study of the bible will clearly reveal the exact date of Jesus, as we have proofs and bible references, though, some might or might not believe, but the truth remains the same.

Luke chapter 1.
vs. 24: “after these days, his wife Elizabeth conceived on the SECOND MONTH of the year, and for FIVE MONTHS she hid herself saying…”
The above bible passage states that Elizabeth got pregnant (conceived) on the second month of the year, which is FEBUARY. And for five months, she hid the pregnancy; Five months from february is JUNE.

vs. 26: “in the SIXTH MONTH, the angel Gabriel was sent from God…”

This sixth month stated in the passage is still June, in which is the fifth month Elizabeth hid her pregnancy, but God sent an angel to Mary (vs. 27) and revealed to her of Elizabeth’s hidden pregnancy (vs. 36).
The angel also told Mary that she will concieve (vs. 31).
After that, Mary went to stay with Elizabeth (vs 39-40)
vs 56: “and Mary remained with her about THREE MONTHS, and returned to her home”
This states clearly that On the ninth month which when Elizabeth should give birth was October (9 months from Febuary is October)
vs 59-60 states that John was born & circumsied on the 8th of october.
Futhermore bible researchs shows that John the baptist was 3months older than Jesus Christ; (vs. 26: mary returned home because her own pregenacy was due)

Luke chapter 2.
Now 3months later, Mary gave birth (vs. 1-7).
Ceaser Augustus made a decree on the first day of a new year, that everyone should enroll in the first world census. Mary and Joseph travelled to bethlehem few days after the decree, and that day happened to be 8th of January, in which was the same day Jesus was born. (vs. 6,7,21), Surprisingly Jesus was born on the 8th of January.

Now, why december 25th as the birth of Jesus?
December 25th was a date fixed by the vatican roman empire as the celebration day of Jesus Christ. But that date, happened to coincide with the date of the death of a wicked king.

The above article cleary states the birthdates of John & Jesus. The bible is not a mere object, its full of mazes and riddles, you have to dig through to find insights.

NOTE: This article wasnt made in terms of criticism, mockery or disorder, it was made to create awareness to anyone who is willing to believe.
