spyder880:Would these road works be completed anytime this century? Just asking! ![]() |
Digitron:The bridge looks solid and aesthetically good too! What's the name of the contractor? So we can recommend them to some states in the South East that usually have inexperienced contractors execute substandard and ugly projects! |
cjrane:Of course i know it's the handwork of Buhari/APC/fulani-overlord minions! They just found a greedy, willing tool in this fool! |
alhassanyusuf29:Forget 'inyamuri flat.head jews' for a moment.....what are YOUR sentiments on the matter? You happy...if so, why? |
See fools who on a normal day hate anything Igbo...now rejoicing b'cos some greedy biatch that can do anything for money has done a 'judas' on IPOB! One would have thought these scum would be supportive of IPOB so they can see the back of the Igbos they hate and keep the bloody country for themselves! |
horsepower101:Or they could think of building a subway. The Brits did it decades ago in Enugu, so i don't see why we can't do it now. Those overhead bridges can be so unsightly, and tend to take away from the sweeping panoramic views of the wide expressway. |
spyder880:Spyder, bros you're sounding a tad patronising! ![]() This may hurt some Anambra 'supremacists' (that's if they're actually from Anambra), but i'm yet to see what is currently on ground or being done presently that would lend credence to your assertion that Awka is poised to be 'one of the best cities in Africa'! Let's stop fooling ourselves and the gov't or else they would relax and actually think they're doing enough! What is giving one excitement about Anambra as a whole is mainly private enterprise and effort; state gov't needs to up their game, while the presence of the federal gov't is almost completely none-existent! Is the state gov't doing anything? Sure they are: especially with regard to bringing order, sanity and cleanliness to the environment of Onitsha and Awka; security; and agriculture. But to say you're satisfied that Awka is going to be one of the best cities in Africa....from what i see on ground presently, i beg to differ! |
cjrane:Well, i think they're entitled to speak their mind and express any fears they may have. This doesn't mean they're any less Igbo than anyone else. Fact of the matter is that pre-independence, certain areas of the Eastern Region felt (either wrongly or rightly) that they were not seen as equal partners in governance, and may have equally felt they didn't measure up socially and economically with the rest! No doubt as a region or country that was just beginning self-governance, these issues would have arisen, and i'm sure that had we been left to get on with things without that useless Nzeogwu coup (or any other coup that may have come given that coups were fashionable at the time), that grievances and issues of exclusion would have been addressed over time! |
limeta:For where! They're there for the long-haul! Most of these places in the middle-belt the Fulani are wanting to claim they're indigenous to...i doubt there were any Fulani there about 100 years ago! These people are patient, sneaky, devious, calculating and cunning! If you're stupid enough to welcome them as visitors....before you know it they're dragging ownership of your own land with you! And seeing as they're the 'owners of Nigeria', they'd always be at an advantage! ![]() |
amaniro:They would have called him a 'IPOD yooth', just that he's old enough to be their grandfather, so they'll go with 'IPOD miscreant'! |
Alejoc:DSS no dey look face? |
Juliusmalema:You know exactly what you're doing! I doubt you're Igbo! |
What a 'dear John'! It's dripping with bile!! ![]() |
Musical interlude! ![]() Mr Ps discovery, Fabian Okike (AKA: Singah) with this latino flavoured song. Just discovered him! Nice change from all the Tekno/Davido type of sound we've been hearing lately! Use your headphones to get the real experience! TEYAMO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1zznR5tpf8 |
horsepower101:The problem with we Ndigbo is that we're too 'smart' for our own good! All this is happening to us because we've lost that pan-Igbo spirit/consciousness we had up to the early 70s |
spyder880:Projects in Nigeria generally suffer this fate...and more so if said project is a federal one located in the South East! |
MENELIK11:Ikemba was the leader of his people, and Awo was the leader of his people....both capable of making decisions (whether good or bad) that affected the fortunes and lives of the people they led! Their 'professions' is besides the point! Awo was leader of the Yoruba race to the extent that he could declare that if by omission or commission the Igbo were allowed to leave Nigeria, that the Yoruba wouldn't bother staying behind to discover just how miserable life with the fulani could be without the Igbos around....they were gonna leave as well! A man that could make such a statement without any prominent Yoruba challenging him was definitely the de-facto Yoruba leader....soldier or not! So i don't get where you're going with this 'soldier', 'lawyer' comment! ![]() |
gidgiddy:Where did you get this 'stealing women's cloth to run to Abidjan' story from? Ikemba handed over to Philip Effiong and got on a flight to Abidjan, so where did you get your story from....or are you swallowing the lie Igbo haters have been spreading just to try and diminish Ikembas' achievements and bring him down to the level of their two-faced, genocidal god? |
Poetic justice! ![]() |
This has got to be a wind up! ![]() |
dominique:How long is a piece of string? ![]() |
Ttipsy:This is what we're talking about! When awarding or executing a contract, do it properly and don't cut corners because you feel either no one cares or will notice (b'cos it's a third world country), or because you want to make illicit gain! See how we're all happy looking at those pics of Milken Hill? Those driving on it will even be happier as they enjoy the smooth road and scenic views! |
spyder880:Spyder, you need to include fruits on that table for a complete picture! |
kocvalour:It's their fuc'king pretence, fake claims of integrity and how they always wear that holier-than-thou look that i can't stand! ![]() |
Everfrank:Did anyone give 'transport' to the huge throngs of people that came to listen to Mazi Kanu? |
otokx:If you're from Ghana, just thank your lucky stars the Brits didn't foist a fulani hegemony on you guys before they left like they did with us! |
GoTV:Please tell me you're being sarcastic? ![]() |
aribisala0:The OP made a mistake. Macron was here 15 years ago not 23. |
What Nigeria needs (which sadly we all know wouldn't happen) is for a neutral party like what you suggested to come and take over governance for a given period (say a decade). During this time, their remit would include purging us of our unbridled greed, tribalism and misplaced religiousity. They would equally be charged during this intervening period to restructure the country back to its pre-1966 settings! I would have been a bit apprehensive had it been its the Great Britain of the period up to the 70s that would be asked to do this...those ones had a superior/imperialist mindset towards blacks! But the GB of today is much more liberal and fair-minded. If wishes were horses! ![]() |
Jokerman:.....this is dangerous! ![]() |
Did you mention that at some point he will go AWOL due to ill health? |
horsepower101:It was sort of a cooperation between the imperialists from the south and their proxies from the north! The one that surprised me was the revelation that Shell had a camp in Owerri decades before the much claimed first discovery of oil at Oloibiri in 1956! What were they doing there for that long period of time? Maybe they had a love affair with the mosquitoes! |
