Pure genius! If one of those were mine i wouldn't even want to cut into it to eat. Every little detail is captured to near perfection! |
spyder880:Looking neat! I just wish we didn't have this red mud kinda soil! Just imagine how better Enugu would look with the kind of soil Port Harcourt or Owerri has! |
ANSMEDIA:What's beautiful about this? |
Yyeske:Quite hilarious! You always post a whole load of cra'p in your attempt to cast IPOB, Mazi Kanu and Igbos as the culprits in this matter! The fact you do this, while exonerating your fulani brothers and their leader of all blame is a good pointer as to who you really are! Talking of the law, even a baby knows there are a few basic fundamentals which form the foundation on which the rule of law is built in any society! None of these fundamentals are being respected in this cursed union you call Nigeria, and this is solely the responsibility of the gov't of the day that's supposed to be the the custodian, protector and guarantor of the peoples liberties! Now seeing the animal presently propped up as president by you nasty lot, is it any surprise we're in this mess? I mean, how the fuc/k was anyone expecting a coup plotter, a former dictator, a murderer and a known bigot like Buhari to understand the importance of the rule of law and respect for civil liberties in a society never mind actively promoting them!? What has Mazi Kanu done thus far? He has taken advantage of his freedom of speech and assembly which last i checked was guaranteed in your 1999 fulani constitution! Now if you have a problem with the way he goes about using his guaranteed rights under this same constitution, what do you do; do you approach the courts to ask for his freedom and rights to be curtailed if he's been found to have fallen foul of the law, or do you send fulani soldiers charging down to the South East in their tanks and APCs....guns loaded with live bullets, to specifically target his home with the aim of 'taking out' the problem? In fact don't even bother answering....being a fulani and Buhari apologist, i already know which of the two options you'd choose! Only in a society being ruled by a despot with no regard for the rule of law would the second option be seen as 'normal'! If IPOBs call for a referendum isn't in keeping with the way it's supposed to be done, is that for Buhari and his fulani soldiers to determine or the courts? Unless his hand is forced, you really think there's any 'way of doing it' that Buhari and the northern oligarchs would find acceptable and acquiesce to, or is this just a trick you conniving lot are using to buy yourselves some time? I hope you can now begin to appreciate why we Igbos want to have nothing to do with you primitive neanderthals? Is it any wonder Nigeria is in the mess its currently in, when we have the savage likes of you lot calling the shots? |
QuotaSystem:The way your brains are wired, nothing that makes sense to the rest of the world will make sense to you insofar as it questions or threatens the faulty foundations on which your 'one Nigeria' stands! I admire the staying power of sensible and reasonable peeps that persist -against all odds- in trying to teach you the rudiments of the rule of law and fundamental human rights! |
CodeTemplar:Igbinedion just looks fierce! It's that bushy mustache that makes him look like a wrestler! |
It's very pathetic that no Igbo person, group or association deemed it fit to eulogise Mazi Kanu like this! Instead it's a Yoruba that's brave enough to stick his neck out and stand with him through thick and thin! Looking at what's become of the Igbo race today...how we're losing respect for ourselves, our values and our heritage (no thanks to the curse that is 'one Nigeria), i often wonder if Mazi Kanu should have just left us bunch of selfish ingrates to wallow in the misery, marginalisation, cold-blooded murders, and derision being inflicted on us from the late 60s to date by hateful bigots who despise all we stand for yet can't imagine an existence as a country without us! Quite sad really! |
Peacemaker5128:Please shut up if you have nothing to say! The agitations for Biafra via a UN organised referendum is what? Or you want us to go out and start killing any fulani we see on the road, like some barbarians do to other ethnic groups in their region? We're making moves to see the back of you lot, yet you get mad and send fulani soldiers to come murder us in cold blood! So i ask again, what would you rather like to see us do? |
utenwuson:May not be her fault! What if he's firing from all cylinders, but firing blanks? ![]() |
I really don't see the point of this thread! You guys realise there are some on here who are actually abusing Iheanacho with that quip that he would have 'missed it like Yakubu', yet you all laugh along like moro'ns! What if Iheanacho views this thread, what do you think it will do for his confidence in the run up to the Argentina game? So you expected him to stand there with hands on hips without asking for the ball? Is there any striker that would behave differently in such a scenario? It's quite subtle, but i detect a slight undercurrent of bigotry and tribalism from the OP and some of the responses on this thread! Carry on with your 'fun'! |
cronsberg:You're speaking from both sides of your two-faced mouths! The bolded is exactly what we want to do, yet you send fulani soldiers down to the SE in the name of python dance to murder defenceless protesters and agitators! |
EternalTruths:The only problem with the bolded is that i just can't conceive of any Igbo being as wicked, bigoted and vindictive as Buhari to be able to do to them what Buhari is currently doing to us! It's just not possible! ![]() |
benben1000:Nigerian judicial system is a hot mess right now! From some of the confused, conflicting and inexplicable rulings and decisions coming them, it's easy to tell they're beholden to special interests, confused and corrupt as hell! Good luck to anyone trying to seek justice through the Nigerian judicial system...especially if you're seen as going up against these 'special interests' or if your case comes before a corrupt 'Buhari/APC' judge! |
0koyibos:See 'prayer'...see hate! If INNOSON isn't a entrepreneur to admire and look up to, can you give us examples of such? |
shitholenation:This is a fact! Trouble is, only Ndigbo seem to realise this and act on it. Others equally know theirs no such thing as a united nation called Nigeria, but bury their heads in the sand or form prayer warrior hoping the schisms and fault-lines that have divided us since the times of Lugard will miraculously disappear! |
35824L:You guys are trying so hard to sell this narrative of Mazi Kanu 'escaping' when in actual fact you've either had him murdered or kidnapped him together with parents! Can you swear on the life of you father, mother, siblings, wife and children that Mazi Kanu escaped? |
Uteghe:Can we see links to the news report of said arrest? |
life2017:Please keep quiet! Even if the SE/Igbos hate Buhari (which isn't the case; you lot just can't stand criticisms...you beat a baby and get indignant when it starts to cry) they would be perfectly justified! When he tagged us '5%' that shouldn't get the same level of dividends from a federal gov't of Nigeria (not a Buhari gov't of Nigeria), what did you say? When he sent his fulani soldiers to come down to the SE and murder innocent protesters in cold blood, what did you say? When after the invasion of Mazi Kanus' home during the ill-advised python dance, both he and his parents went missing, what did you say? When he was making appointments into his gov't and for months nobody from the SE was considered good enough for a job, what did you say? When one of the first things he did after being sworn in to office was to suspend work on the 2nd niger bridge while work on the Kaduna-Abuja high-speed rail service continued apace, what did you say? Any perceived 'hate' you lot see coming your way from Ndigbo/SE is just a response and reflection of the level of wickedness you've directed our way so don't preach to me about love and hate when you're the champions of hate and wickedness yourselves! I have the scars to prove your hate towards me! What can you show as proof of the so called 'hate' Igbos/SE have towards you....that is besides free speech to which we're entitled to? |

kayjay69:The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, has blamed the National Assembly Committees for the slashing of budgetary allocation for the completion of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu in the 2018 Appropriation Act from N2 billion to N500 million. Ekweremadu, however, described as unfortunate the attempts by some persons to play politics with the development by insinuating that he or the South East lawmakers slashed the budget proposal for the project, especially when budgetary cut affected other geopolitical zones. Ekweremadu in a statement on Thursday assured that the South East federal lawmakers and the National Assembly remained committed to the early completion of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu. He expressed disappointment over the cut in the budgetary allocation to the project in the 2018 Appropriation Act from N2 billion to N500 million. He said his investigation showed that the cuts took place at the committees level and hopefully the affected committees would have explanations to make when the National Assembly resumes. The lawmaker explained that it would be unfair to expect him to monitor the activities of the over 60 committees of the Senate and 100 committees in the House of Representatives unless his attention was called to any challenges. Ekweremadu said: “The Committees of the National Assembly are usually given a free hand to do their jobs, but they are structured in a way that every geopolitical zone is represented. That way, they can call the attention of the principal officer from their zone when any challenges arise. “But in this case, the South East holds the positions of Vice Chairman of the House and Senate Committees on Appropriation and also chairs the House Committee on Aviation. Unfortunately, unlike in the case of Committee on Works where my attention was called to the challenges in appropriations, award, and funding of major road projects and I made my modest interventions to resolve the issues, nobody informed me of any challenges concerning budgetary provisions for the Akanu Ibiam Airport.” Ekweremadu however, observed that the quest for a befitting international airport for the South East had been a daunting challenge, pointing out that the government did not release the N2 billion approved by the National Assembly in the 2017 budget for the terminal building at the Enugu Airport. He said: “It is easily recalled that successive military and civilian governments refused to designate an international airport in the South East, despite endless promises. When I emerged as the Deputy President of the Senate in 2007, and with the support of other South East leaders and people, I led a delegation of South East Senators to see the late President Umar Yar’Adua over the matter. “President Yar’Adua directed the Minister of Transport at the time, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, to designate the Akanu Ibiam Aiport an international facility in November 2007. “Despite this magnanimity, the contract for the facility upgrade was not awarded even when all due process procurement activities had been completed with a due process certificate issued on December 1, 2008. “In the 2009 Federal budget, the FG made a provision of N1billion for the upgrading of facilities at the airport. But we, members of the Enugu State caucus of the National Assembly, additionally appropriated the sum of N2 billion meant for constituency projects in our constituencies to the airport upgrade. Yet, the contract was stalled, leading to my protest letter to the late President Yar’Adua dated March 20, 2009 and the contract was eventually awarded. “We also ensured that the airport was gazetted as an international airport following the appointment of Mrs. Felicia Njeze as the Minister of Aviation by the government of President Goodluck. That administration eventually awarded a major contract that saw to the launch of the airport as an international facility in 2013.” The Senator also noted that the Federal Government did not include the Enugu Airport or South East in the Chinese loan for airport upgrades as other international airports in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Kano and Abuja. He said: “We have continued to make case for the airport. The Minister of Aviation was in Enugu to see the airport. The Aviation Committees of the Senate and House of Representatives visited to see things for themselves. The issue was presented to the President when I led South East Senators to see him in 2017. It was raised in the meeting between the President and South East leaders October 13, 2017. “Unfortunately, the sum of N2 billion approved for the construction of terminal building at the airport in the 2017 budget was not released. “However, I am happy that the President has indicated that he would send a Supplementary Appropriation Bill. We will work with our colleagues from other zones to ensure adequate provisions for the airport. Hopefully, the government will now release the money this time, unlike the N2 billion in the 2017 budget when it did not release the funds.” Ekweremadu also urged the Federal Government to release the already approved N500 million so that work could continue in earnest. https://theeagleonline.com.ng/ekweremadu-faults-national-assembly-committees-for-slashing-budget-for-enugu-airport/ ********* ********* From the above it can be seen that Senator Ekweremadu has been proactive concerning the upgrade of AIIA to int'l status. What's proved to be a stumbling block is the usual pull-him-down syndrome that's rife in Nigerian politics and governance! Senator Odua tried. Thing is, she was not greedy, bigoted and nepotistic to channel all or majority of funds meant for renovation of airports to her region like is being done in this Buhari/APC regime! Hence, the funds were spread a bit too thinly. If she had been a bit selfish and clannish she could have done AIIA Enugu up to look much better....kinda like what Hadi Sirika has done with the Kaduna airport while he ignored AIIA! Besides, with the neglect AIIA has faced since 2015, is it any wonder it's looking so dilapidated now? |
The amount of intrigue, subterfuge and backstabbing in this administration that parrots 'change' is just mind boggling! ![]() |
DrGoodman:One just doesn't know what to believe with these people! I think they rushed to mention AIIA Enugu just to make it look like they actually love Igbos and are treating us on an equal basis with other ethnicities/regions/zones, but that the national assembly is preventing them from showering us with projects and other goodies! They told us to blame Igbo senators for not stopping the reduction of the budget for AIIA (giving poor Ekweremadu special mention |
Guk:That 'excuse' wouldn't fly! So who are the people appointed as judges in the 5 south eastern states.....martians? Isn't it from the states that judges and others are appointed to national positions in the supreme court, court of appeal and federal high court? How many Igbos have been appointed as chief judge of the federation? Any proof to show Igbos from the 5 south east states are not filling their own 'quota' in the army? |
adanny01:Can you, hand on heart, honestly say this present Buhari admin has strictly adhered to the principles of quota-system in appointments made during this his present tenure? |
Ever wondered why it's normally northern muslims that seem to be in pole position to take over at say the supreme court, court of appeal or FCT high court (the one in which a northern muslim just took over from another northern muslim like say na only them waka come )? Well this disproportionate appointment of judges from that neck of the woods is the reason!Check out how many southerners have been appointed chief judge of the supreme court in relation to those from the (muslim) north, and you'd begin to understand what i'm on about! |
legitnow:They're in Nigeria solely for their oyel and gas! Painful but it's the truth!! They're not even good enough for president as the last one from that part didn't have a moments peace while in office....he was ganged up against and denied a second term! If his detractors argument was that he wasn't good enough, then why not find someone else from the SS to complete the regions eight years? We only talk of completion of two terms of eight years when it comes to the Fulani....the 'owners of Nigeria'! |
Riodiao:Damn! I never even saw it from that obvious angle! ![]() You're very perceptive! |
GavelSlam:You're sounding more crafty by the minute! So b'cos the ethnic grps you mentioned are either not aware of you lots bigotry and avarice, or are aware but decide to keep quiet for whatever reason, then it therefore means i and other Igbos should keep quiet abi? That's what you want and this is why you and yours despise Igbos so....them 'pesky inyamiris' just wouldn't shut da fuc/k up and accept the 'slave status' you designated for them after the uncivil war! Should Igbos now react to issues based on what the ethnic grps you mentioned do or don't do? In all other spheres and endeavours (sports, academics, entertainment, technology, diasporan achievements, etc) Igbos excel, but when it comes to your useless Nigeria with its cheating, quota-system and bad-belle, what do we see? We see that Hausa/Fulani greedily cornering all the 'juicy' appointments or are disproportionately represented to the disadvantage of the others! Remind me again, do we have three major ethnic groups or not? If we do, what are their names, and are they being treated equally...esp' in your Buhari gov't? Dude, it's ok to admit that Igbos are being shown pepper for daring to give Buhari a miserable 5% in 2015 (though i think his hatred for Ndigbo is much more complicated than that), i'll accept it and move on! You need to own your bigotry and hate...stop pretending to be fair-minded and neutral b'cos you're not! |
GavelSlam:Forget that thing! It should be obvious to you by now that the so called Nigerian 'judiciary' is independent in name only! They do the bidding of he who must be obeyed! They craftily said the appointments are on the instructions of the NJC b'cos they knew the whole exercise was skewed in favour of the muslim north, with Igbos having just two or three token appointments to fulfil all righteousness! This is to deflect any incoming missiles towards the direction of the NJC and allow Buhari to come out of it unscathed! So you look at that list and can't muster the courage to admit that Igbos were treated unfairly? Not surprised....you have form in that regard! |
Trackango:Trust me, they can be dark like that in Senegal! Another set of very dark Africans are the South Sudanese....think they're called the Mandingos or Dinkas! ![]() |
Nice one 'southern youths'! I wonder where the 'incorruptible' Buhari is getting the money to pay all these butt kissers! ![]() |
