PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Cannot Be Nigeria's President – Mbaka Blasts PO by Xbobtage: 11:13pm On Jun 15, 2022
Peters surging mandate has nothing to do with tribe,

I am not an igbo man myself and the choice of Peter Obi over the other 2 has nothing to do with tribe. People from my tribe do not have a special place where we go to buy fuel at discount prices, neither do we have different currency that we are using to buy things when we go to the market etc, Nigerias current problems has every single person on a choke hold regardless of tribe, religion or financial status.

For me the choice of Peter Obi was a very very easy and quick decision. Reason is, Once you know your problem, you know where to go for solution. If your teeth is paining you, you go to a Dentist. If have a problem with your car, you go to a mechanic. You can NOT have pain with your teeth and be going to meet your mechanic to help you. The difference between a mechanic and dentist is clear for even a new born baby to see it.

The two current Major problems this country has is Cost of Governance and Corruption. As a poor country that is lacking the most basics of infrastructure we do not and can not afford to have 48 ministers each costing billions a month just to run their office, and over 50 special assistants requiring hundreds of millions a month, Ambassadors to every unnecessary country on earth requiring hundreds of millions a month, then another set 40 something state level commissioners per state and 50 something Special advisers per state. If a lot of these offices are merged into fewer offices, Nigeria will be saving trillions per year and then those longterm politicians will be forced to enter the labor market and open businesses with their loot, thereby creating more employment. Only a stingy man at heart can understand and create this ripple effect, Obi is that man. Obi is not only a stingy man, but he a Business man, a wealth creator. He knows and understands the value of Billions and where to put it. And a stingy man because of his nature will automatically make it very difficult for corruption to thrive. If the Nigerian Military is receiving the right funding that it deserves, trust me Bokoharam and other terrorist groups in Nigeria will feel the difference. Even a lot of these terrorist and criminals you see disturbing the peace in Nigeria is cause by poverty and economic frustration. A better funded military machine and better economy is how we fight them.

Lastly, Peter Obi is a simple man, if you are a frequent flier in Nigeria, you would/could have met him as an ex governor at the airport carrying his own bag standing alone in queue like every other nigerian. Just like Dangote used to be in the 90s and 2000s. He is the only other ex-governor or High profile nigerian politician that you would have met doing that. As an older man, that is what I want my children to see, copy and emulate. We want our children to know that there is Honour in simplicity. Thats how we fight against this need to be an oppressor and Yahoo Yahoo mindset amongst our youths, by empowering simple people to leadership positions.

My Brother, Peter Obi checks every single box that we know in our conscience is the right thing to do for right now, If only God and Nigerians would make this possible.
PoliticsRe: Why Peter Obi Is The Most Popular Candidate In Nigeria Today by Xbobtage:
LocalStandard1:
First of all, I am not Igbo, I am a Nigerian that wants what is best for Nigeria. And since Osibanjo is out of the race the next best Candidate of any sane person should be the next best contender. Which I believe is PETER Obi.

Now, anybody that is following this presidential race bumper to bumper will agree with me that while every other candidate from the big parties are trying so hard to be noticed, to be heard and seen, the only person that has Nigerians both for and against him doing his campaign is Peter Obi.

I mean he hasn't answered any of his critiques but they just can't stop trolling and there by making him even more popular and relevant. Rino Omokri, Aisha Yesufu, Sowore, Bashir Ahmed, El'rufai's unruly kids, I mean plenty of them, even on here, without him paying a dime.

They talk about him even more than they talk about there preferred Candidates. Everybody wants to advise Peter Obi. They said he was foolish to decamp but if only even Osibanjo decamped it would have turned out to be the best decision as we can see.

They said he should merge with Kwankwaso. Eesh! If he won't be the presidential candidate I say he should not do that sh*t. He is far more popular than Kwankwaso at the moment, far. I mean who talks about him until when talking about a merger?

Peter Obi might not win the coming election but it is better to stand and stand with a few to try to make a difference than standing with a crowd of wolves.

Better to run the race even when there's less chance of winning than sit back and allow old thieves take the medal just for being from some certain tribe or religion, and for being rich from the wealth of the people.

I wish the Middle Belt will give this guy a chance irrespective of his tribe.
Thank you.

I was going to respond to all the lies and whitewashed Half truths that the OP listed as Tinubus Achievement. You forgot another achievement is Tinubu helped install Buhari and hand picked most of his cabinet members, He has bragged that he wants to be president to continue Buhari's Goodworks so far...thats all any nigerian who is breathing needs to make their decision on him.

Look, Views on the thread are under 20000 as I write, the thread is not Buzzing, next time try to Add the name Peter Obi in the headline so that people can find it meaningful to read and engage you.

Say whatever you wish to say, for some of us this election is about our conscience, so that whenever we kneel down and cry to our God for a personal help, He knows that our conscience is clear, that we never participated in bringing in of another doomed politician on Nigeria. The country is in a hopeless state and another bad president would drown us all. For Gods sake what would you rather that we do?

We need a simple and prudent miserly nigerian who understands that wastage in governance in the last 15 years is the biggest problem this country has. Duplication of political appointments alone eats over 15 % of our budget, Scamy Fuel subsidy buries another 30 percent, Curruption takes another 30%, Scamy feeding of school children 1Billion per month. We know the problems of this country thats why we were excited with Buhari because he mentioned these issues when he was campaigning and promised us that he was a simple and miserly man only to Disappoint us.

Yes we know that chances are against Obi, but we are begging God and begging you not to allow all of us to drown just because of ethnic pride.

The decision here to vote for Obi compared to the other candidates is akin to where Armed robber comes to my house and forces me to choose between me raping my mother , or me raping my daughter or I fight him with one of my hands tied while he has a knife. I know that the chances of me winning him in that fight is unlikely but for Gods Sake, that is the only chooseable option for any true man. I dont want to die but I also want to live my life with some sort of dignity.

Please allow us to fight the armed robber, if we no make am, atleast heaven know sey we tried!

My friend,

Our Naira is about to capitulate (Please google this if you dont understand), the naira is taking deeper dumps many more times than ever before, at this rate we will be at 2500 to the dollar in 4 years which could lead to capitulation like was in Venezuela. The real reason for the dumping of the naira is loss of confidence in the country and people piloting the affairs of the country, causing a massive capital flight, even nigerians are no longer saving their money in naira. The second reason for the dumping of the naira is that the french government is all out to see that this country never makes it, we are their only Obstacle in their bid to take over west and central africa. Third reason is the mostly talked about lack of local manufacturing.

We have to make a hard right turn now! This is probably the last shot for this country to be redeemed, if Obi wasnt running this would have been a really hopeless situation. Let us continue to pray for Obi, that God keeps this man alive and healthy, because the Evil people who want to continue to keep Nigeria and nigerians in Chains will not give up easily. Voting Obi alone is not enough, tell the people around you that this is our possible shot!

I understand that you are a Tinubu supporter, Tinubu has been sort of ruling this country by proxy for the last 7 years, he placed the president, hand picked the VP, most of the ministers and and even senate president with speaker of the house, he gave the president the people he described as the best brains tp run the government. He had the ears and the hand of the president. If truly there is anything great he would be able to do as a president, he would have already done it in the last 7 years. Tinubu has already given us his best. Voting Tinubu means the status quo would remain the same.

In 2007,yaradua divided the north west with buhari.why didnt atiku divide the north east? Why didnt he win his state of Adamawa if he was strong? Why didnt he go and form another party and contest like buhari? The northerners are not blind voters, there are wise and sophisticated.they dont just vote anybody, they vote a radical Muslim, someone in the mould of ahmadu bello or usman Dan fodio.atiku doesnt have such traits.you can see kwankwaso red cap movement. Do you see such support for atiku? The northerners know it is not their turn to rule so they won't be too eager to vote like in 2019.they know the country need a southerner...atiku can only win sokoto, taraba,Adamawa, gombe,Kaduna but will lose those big votes states...
Again you are talking about Yaradua who was another Hausa/fulani man...And you have concluded that people from north east will leave atiku and vote massively for Tinubu simply because he chose a VP from north east...Well, its not a crime to be optimistic...Cheers, wishing you an amazing week ahead!

That contest back then was between one fulani man and another fulani. Again the question is Are you guys expecting Hausa Fulani people to leave a fellow fulani man, a fellow northerner and north easterner and Vote for a Yoruba Candidate simply because his vice is a north easterner? so would you vote Atiku simply because his VP choice is a yoruba man??

So Hypothetically, from a tribalistic point of view, you are expecting the people to leave their own Atiku and vote Tinubu simply because he picked a vice from the North East??

Let me rephrase that question in a way you can better understand. As a Yoruba muslim man, Would you vote for Atiku instead of Tinubu simply because Atiku chose a Yoruba VP?

Bellow is a probability chance of each presidential candidates to win election as at today.

Tiunbu = 55%
Atiku = 30%
Kwankwaso = 5%
Peter Obi = 5%
Others = 5%
Interesting numbers, I wonder how you magically came up with those numbers, Remember we are no longer in Primaries where delegates vote oh. If nigerians come out and vote in mass those with money bags are not going to be able to swing this particular election, the current woes in this country has touched everyone of us personally. I think it will be harder for APC to win this election. Go look at that online poll done on twitter in hausa language by core northerners, Kwankwanso was leading with 60k, Atiku, 50k, Tinubu 30k, Obi 12k.

How is tinubu planning to win this election without the rest of the south? Let that sink in?

Ironically, this is actually a campaign boost.

Cuz it shows Peter Obi is a pan-Nigerian to the core.

It shows he will not treat IPOB with levity if elected.

It shows Obi is a strong believer in one Nigeria.

So, rather than this being used to campaign against Obi, it actually is a campaign booster for Obi.

That he would be ruthless on IPOB and UGM just like he would on Boko Haram and Bandits.

Next, please
That post will be used to sell peter obi to the northerners/ fantastic campaign point.
PoliticsRe: How Peter Obi Can Win The Presidential Election; My Memo To His Social Media Sup by Xbobtage: 6:58am On Jun 13, 2022
bjdon:
The ONLY way Peter Obi can win, is if his supporters roll up their sleeves and do the HARD stuff of grassroot campaigns. As we have all seen there is no polling station on Twiter or Instegram.
Key target states need to be identified. If I was advising them these would be split into must win, come a good second, get at least 30%

Must Win:
Anambra
Abia
Imo
Ebonyi
Enugu
Edo
Cross River
Akwa Ibom
Benue
Plateau
Kaduna

Come a close second:
Rivers
Bayelsa
Delta
Lagos
Kogi
Kwara
Ondo
Osun

At least 30%
Gombe
Bauchi
Taraba
Adamawa
Niger
Oyo

In a 4 horse race, with Tinubu, Atiku and Kwankwaso spliting the Norrhtern Muslim vote, the above projections are perfeclty possible, but the ground work has to start NOW. Ward by ward campaigns, ensure people in the target states have thier PVC's and on election day ensure they come out to vote and their votes are counted
Peter Obi will most likely win Rivers and Delta in staggering numbers, from what I have been seeing. I am a Rivers man, I can tell you of my street, my inner circle , my immediate family members Peter Obi comes way ahead...For us we are tired we feel helpless and hopeless, Obi looks like the only way and the last hope for this country not to spiral down the way of Venezuela,
PoliticsRe: Osinbajo Is Buhari's Preferred Candidate Ahead Of APC Primary - Independent by Xbobtage:
Realistically speaking, neither Tinubu nor Osibanjo can defeat atiku in the presidential election. The reason being that Peter Obi is still running the race in a third party. Peter Obi will siphon most of the votes in the SE/SS annnnnd, alot of progressive yorubas will also vote for him, when you consider that osibanjo has been part of this government that has decimated nigeria. If we are projecting that Atiku will win atleast 65 percent of the votes in the north, then the only southern candidate who can win him must be one who can drain igbo votes. Yes igbos usually vote less in election times, but the igbo vote is looking like what will be the swing vote this election if the apc picks a yoruba candidate.

All Atiku has to do now is pick another igboic VP and its game over, which ever way you look at it.

An alternative for APC might be that they pick Amaechi, who then picks a very strong northerner like El rufai or Prof from Bornu. Amaechi might be able to drain igbo votes from Obi, with a huge support from the SS and maybe 15% support from SW.

Point here is, now that Atiku is the PDP flag bearer, and obi is still running, If APC wants to win the presidency they will be making a risky move picking a Yoruba candidate. If Peter wasnt running alot of igbo progressives would vote for Osibanjo and that would be the needed push to defeat atiku.

Apologies to anyone who considered this a slight on the great yoruba race, that was and is never my intent, I was just stating what appears to be the obvious mathematics for those wondering and its all but my humble opinion.

We have to give credit to all those Peter Obi supporters who came out under the hot sun and rain and participated in the 1 million man march across Nigeria. Lol, Im guessing you were having a problem differentiating them from ur usual actual igbo trolls. This is one of the reasons I having been telling my riverland rivers people that we should not allow these people get away with their igbo identity, you can see that they will always support their kin and igbo close kin all the way to enugu while downplaying their igboness when we show our face.

They should be given the Delta treatment and all be tagged with an igbo identity whether they like it or not. Its allows for everyone else to have a clear face on what to punch on should the case ever be needed. I mean its like tying all their blokus together so that whenever we want to punch the target is very clear.

What you call your language is another one's language yet you will be online to claim someone answers Igbo name.
Wike says he is not Igbo. This does not mean he hates Igbos. 99.99% of Ikwerre people agrees with him. It does not in anyway depicts hatred, Wike former personal secretary was an Igbo person from Abia State.
99.99% of Ikwerre People agree? and you counted them all and they told you to come on nairaland and speak for them? Oya clap for yourself!

For the record, You the "Ikwerre is not are not igbos group" are the fewest amongst Ikwerre people, Una no pass 20%, But you are the loudest, the most disrespectful and the most Violent. When people from your group meet Ikwerre people who are comfortable with being igbo, you bully and insult them for their stand. More than 50% of Ikwerre people are not really bothered by whether you call them igbo people or Not! They simply do not care to dive into this political identity madness, they will simply say that they are Ikwerre but then add that Igbo and Ikwerre and igbo are the same people if you want to start making it an issue. And lets not for forget that there is also the aggressively Pro Igbo group amongst Ikwerres might be about 10 percent. The problem is non of these other Ikwerre groups are as aggressively outspoken about their stand on the issue as Mr. Chrisxxx and his group.

So point is Mr. , for a multi opinioned topic like the issue of Ikwerre or Ibo, learn to speak for yourself.

This whole yoruba and igbo bickering to extreme points started right here and got sustained here on nairaland.

Seun if you are reading. nigerians are still developing and figuring out how to talk and relate to ourselves, this nation is still a new one, allowing people to spew whatever sounds like hate speech is not allowing freedom of speech but rather setting us up and our young country for failure.

Hate speech is now popularized by Highly placed nigerians including the current incumbent president.

You are the one who choose not to accept the Truth. Not academically accurate? You are very funny. Stop lying to yourself, it's my own tribe. Ogba is my own tribe and our written and spoken history takes us back to Benin.
My friend and fellow Rivers Broda, you have done right by yourself by speaking up against what you personally believe is wrongly put up about the Ogba people, and you shouldnt allow anyone to bully you into changing your opinion about what you believe are.

Nigeria is a developing country, our children are forming opinions based on what they read on nairaland, years from now if this site continues to remain few years from now, then this article will also remain as well and if there is no balanced and an unbiased position to your headline, then the contents of this thread will be taken as the word of God.

So here is my opinion and probably thoughts to your thoughts. While you have the right to say You yourself as an ogba man is not an igbo man, You cant start speaking for all ogba people, you're not the appointed spokesperson for Ogbaland. Some ogba people identify with their igbo root. In the 80s there was a popular politician from your place by the name Frank something (cant remember), who was being asked by some other politicians to desist from calling himself an igbo man, the man refused and stood his ground, insisting that he is an igboman. There are alot of people in ogbaland who have no problem being called igbo people, afterall they are already bearing the names and speaking the language and practicing the culture. Moreover Igbo people are people just like any other people you find in nigeria, They dont have leprosy, neither will anyone be struck down by lightening simply because they accepted that they are an igbo person.

Thank you for speaking your truth Sheikh Nuru.

For this country to stand and come out of these dark days we need people who are willing and courageous to speak against evil. The Buhari who ran for president and the man who has been ruling this country seem to be two different people.

May God continue to grant you strength and more courage. Today nigerians have seen you as someone with a voice who is willing to speak up for the people and the powerless regardless of the consequences, We will not forget.

Thank you again Sir!

Below is the Nord Max!
Obviously a beautiful truck, I was very excited to have a new entrant into the manufacturing of home vechicles in nigeria when this was announced last year. Its takes a lot of sacrifice as a nigerian to start from nothing and own very own vehicle brand/manufacturing company.

But here were my concerns about the car and its owner after a little digging.

The owner was asked how he came about the name of the car and he claimed him and his friends were playing scrabble and wanted a name similar to north, so while playing scrabble they slowly moved through different sounding names before settling in on nord.

That was a very big and unnecessary lie. Nord is a German auto and machine company who own the rights to the licences and designs of the vehicles that they are assembling in Nigeria. The same company just opened another car manufacturing plant in wiechlice poland.

Why did this guy find it necessary to tell such degrading lies about his project after working hard to bulld this, Nigerians would have loved him and be proud of his attempt to build something indigenous whether its a partnership or not. Why not simply announce this as a partnership with him and Nord Automobiles just as Dangote did with Peugeot. I mean, its 2022, anyone can simply just research the company on the internet and see their dumb lies. This unnecessary lie does not bode very well for the company's reputation going forward.

you just gave yourself away as an outsider.
You want to use money to oppress excos of Banana Island Landlords? You must better be Bill Gates because real shock awaits you wink

You can not even enter the residential zone unless someone calls the gate from there.

The only one on your list of my igbo compatriots with a house in Banana Island is Linda Ikeji and go and read about her background as a Lagos girl ,who her father is and how she got the place.

PSquare do not have a property in Banana. Do not confuse Lekki or Omole Phase 1 for Banana Island.
It is easier for a Davido, because of his elitist family background,t o get a property in Banana than a Psquare or Kanu.

You are an outsider to Lagos, stay on your lane before you get to mislead or defraud others by suggesting that they can just walk in and buy a property in Banana Island. It is completely diferent and 100% elitist with proven background. I know what I am saying. Banana Island is mostly Yoruba owned and if you have ever been there, you will notice that the streets are named after only the States in the South West wink Let me stop here. Just take it, Banana Island is exclusive so try and understand. It is for the descendants of ikoyi old money who are mostly Yoruba.

Lagos, I repeat, has never been for sale. All those tales by moonlight you tell yourself is bunkum. Banana Island is different.
You have truly exposed yourself to be the small boy that you are, as you can see, the people that normally like your comment are not doing so and you are still doubling down on your stupid bigotry. You think when it comes to Business rich nigerians have time for nonsense bigotry like non entities like you . Always coming here to claim tribal supremacy and make yoruba people look bad. What is special about banana island when compared to housing estates around the world, CNN called it the worlds most expensive ghetto. Some of the roads are not tarred, No sidewalks, no class, no structure. If not a fellow nigerian which rich person outside nigeria would come and buy property worth $1m in that kind of place.

Small Pikin listen, there is nothing special about you simply because you are yoruba. Get that into your head and leave yoruba people out of your Daily bigoted comments. People in Banana Island are printing stickers and looking and praying for investors/buyers of their project in Banana Island, this one here is trying to spoil market for them with his nonsense bigotry.

One of the most expensive hotels in lagos if not the most expensive hotel called George hotel is owned by a good friend of mine and brother, an unknown riversman, thats the hotel that bill gates stayed in when he was in Nigerian, He bought the lands with built houses for 150m a plot an then distroyed the two buildings to erect a 9 story hotel built by Juluis berger, The same man owns a couple properties in banana Island. I know atleast 15 other rivers people who own their own property in Banana Island, some of them are trying to sell.

The number of yorubas who own property in Banana Island are not more than 45 percent. And they are happy to sell to anyone who is able to afford whats for sale.

I was going to blame the OP for starting a Tribal hating thread because I have seen the OP Post some tribal trolling comments in the past, then I decided to look properly to see how he dragged yoruba people into a topic that was supposed to be about his maternal home in the SE and low and behold he didnt, that satanist tribal bigot slydev brought yoruba comparison into this thread to make yoruba people look bad and set them up for insults by the usual nairaland insult posters.

And the bigoted mods moved this thread to the front. Thunder fire all of your Bigoted children that come here to insult nigerians, God will continue to punish all of you devils.

You have quoted out of what Ohaneze Youth Council (OYC) Said, without giving them credit for it, that is PLAGIARISM!

To the part that you added (Modified Response), you were just dilly-dallying about, too afraid to hit the nail on the head. grin grin
And the reason people like you do that is because you know, ab initio, that your position is not only faulty, your wish is unreasonable.

You go around threatening other tribes, just because you want something from them, how about appealing to them?
How about convincing them with superior arguments?
How about lobbying them?
How about building bridges with them?
How about even sacrificing for them first, so you can reap from such sacrifices, in the future?

Granted that Igbos have not produced a Nigerian President in the last 50yrs, (which is no one's fault but Igbos) and other tribes think Igbos should be supported to achieve this aim, does that mean it will be dropped on your laps?
This country does not operate a "fixed" Rotational Presidency by FIAT, what we have is a "Democracy by Consensus", that moves the Presidency between the North and South.

At the end of the day, Nigerians still have to VOTE, to elect their President.
What that means is that the Igbo Presidential Nominee can only become President, if he can convince majority of Nigerians to vote for him in a General Election.
Thus, can you convince other tribes to Vote for an Igbo Presidential Nominee, by THREATENING THEM or INSULTING THEM?

Some years back, we were shouting that Igbos need to "play their Politics wisely" and not put all their Eggs in One basket, during their rabid support for PDP over the years. They made enemies of other tribes just because Goodluck Jonathan was kicked out of Office.
They all vote in Bloc for PDP, irrespective of who PDP puts on the Ballot.
Essentially, the South East became a PDP stronghold, they will Vote for only PDP (and APGA in Anambara), they dont even want to hear anything called APC/ACN/AD. We told them that even if you are angry about PDP losing the 2015 elections, dont take it personal or take it out on Yorubas or Northerners but they wont hear.

Unfortunately, the PDP where they sowed Sweat and Blood, is treating them like a Pariah, it will not even one its Presidential Ticket to the East! What a Shame!! Imagine, a Northerner has just finished Eight years as President and the PDP is selling Forms to Atiku, a Northerner, again.
Even more shameful is the rationale of Igbos that if Yorubas dont "give them" APC Presidential Ticket, they would vote for Atiku to become President!
The problem with such mentality of "We or the Highway", is that it shows that Igbos are not really convinced that they deserve to be President of Nigeria, what they are actually more interested in, is that a Yoruba person should not be the next President!
That is what we call Politics of Hate and Envy
. If l cant have it, then l wont allow you to have it.
What a Shame.

If you cant display Loyalty, dont expect anyone to be Loyal to you.
If you cant sacrifice for others, dont expect Others to sacrifice for you, when your time of need for such sacrifice comes.
If you wont vote for a tribe or Party, dont expect that Tribe or Party to hand over its Presidential ticket to you, on a Platter of Gold, No matter how deserving of it you think you are. Such sense of entitlement is delusional and wishful-thinking
.

Igbos can decide to do what is right, it may take some time to yield the desired result but yield it will will or they can continue to threaten others, cry and whinge all day or try to intimidate others, hoping some miracle will happen and they will suddenly become President of "the Zoo".
It is not too late to start doing the right thing, where there is a Will, there should be a way but voting for Atiku, just to Spite Yorubas, will NEVER get any Igbo, anywhere near Aso Rock and History has shown that the Yorubas somehow, even without Igbo support, still manage to Sit as President in Aso Rock.

Igbos need to reflect deeply.
My post was intended to reach yoruba people and indeed all nigerians who see the future of this country as something that should be bigger than anyones current emotions or ambition, however I still appreciate the fact that I got your attention.

Look i see so many yorubas saying igbos were caught up with politics of hate in 2015 which is the reason for their current predicament. But I worry Yorubas are now sleep walking into the same mistake and not even knowing it.

I believe most of you havent thought about an alternate reality that Tinubu's attempt to bully himself into the presidency will cause PDP members to rally around Atiku as their consensus candidate. Tinubu can not win against Atiku in the next election. Buharu will not help him to rig against a fellow Fulani, neither will northerners vote tinubu instead Atiku, Tinubu has also used his own mouth to write off the SS and SE saying their votes are inconsequential, so no vote for him in these places. Atiku's running mate is an Igbo man and Atiku has promised to Hand over to an Igbo man after 1 year. The same hateful politics that saw Yorubas occupy both VP and House Speaker might be visited on the Yorubas. And the cycle of Political Hate and Vengeance continues. But Nigeria and Nigerians lose.

Regardless of the political outcome of the nearest future, One thing I will assure you is that people like me will continue to always be here to call out the rights and the wrongs and speak for whichever tribe is being oppressed.

Have a Fruitful week!

I won't abandon a friend in times of trouble.
Obiano was my benefactor.

He has eyes for merits.
After submitting a proposal, Obiano invited me (my company) to the State Executive Council in Agu Oka, ask questions on our proposals, later invited us to Governors Lodge, Amawbia, ask further questions with a team of 5. Assured me that my company will get a contract, that was in March.

In June, I was surprised to see a text inviting me to Awka to begin the process. The rest they said it's history. I ended up spending 18 months on project execution in Awka. I gave progress report every fortnight, and Obiano will always ask if we are comfortable with the Anambra environment.

Such a detribalised man, I pray God sees him through.
VERY SHOCKING REVELATION IF THIS IS TRUE. And yet you come online everyday to divide nigerians, to sow discord amongst nigerians, taunt people from the South East - mocking them to leave the south West and go back to their destitute regions and yet you have grossly benefitted from a detribalized nigerian at such a top government level from the South East, a big beneficiary of the nigerian project.

How hurt would Obaino feel if he were to read your comments about his tribe? Dont tell me oh there are igbo people saying negative things about your tribe here too so you just reciprocate...Because for now we dont know them, and its easier to say and believe that most of the people spewing these bigoted hatred here are frustrated nigerians who have never gotten any thing from nigeria and have been deprived of a good existence because of being nigerian...But this country has blessed you, nigerians have shown you life changing love and support from across the isle. what do you benefit from stoking this tribal fire here on nairaland? what becomes your gain if nigerian tribes hate each other?

Atleast if others are here name calling and mocking/insulting other tribes your duty as a person that has seen best of nigeria would have been to speak on a level ground and try to mediate and balance. since you are always able to comment at the top trending topics.

Where is your conscience , why are you so Dark? Why do you want nigerians to hate and fight each other? Where is your good soul?

In a multi ethnic country like nigeria, for what actually is the turn of another southern tribe about the size of the yorubas, your people are celebrating and praising what appears to be a Grand act of tribal supremacism, tribal bigotism. Killing any chance this nation has at breeding citizens that are truly nationalistic or patriotic. Allowing these selfish and greedy politicians to set yoruba people up for legitimate generational hatred by other southern nigerian tribes while yet again doubling down on the already known belief that this country is more or less a jungle where nothing counts or matters.

We already know that having a Yoruba president does not and will not change the life of the average yoruba man, rather his friends and immediate family only enrich themselves. However we all as nigerians lose when we miss an opportunity to bring us together, an opportunity at nation building, at making steps towards true nationalism and having citizens that truly feel that they matter and we are going somewhere.

I hope learned and high IQ yorubas start speaking out now, silence is culpability. Truly no one nigerian tribe is better than the other. We are all fxcked within these walls. We have to be making steps towards the right direction, dont let these greedy politicians fool you by invoking tribal sentiments, we all know they honestly dont care about tribe, they are only after their selfish interest.

Atleast the hausas were honest and good enough to rotate the presidency down south. Nothing good can come off taking or bullying yourself off another tribes turn.

To those quoting me and talking about mistakes of certain tribes of the past as a reason why we should respond with more mistakes please understand this: I am not from the South East and I am speaking as a Nigerian> And I want to tell you that the future of Nigerians and our well being is greater than any single person's Emotional Judgement or Ambition.

Life itself is supposed to be about positive Evolution, why should we allow a mistake to happen now simply because a similar mistake happened in the past. Where is the positive growth in that?

This country is supposed to be a working progress of a coalition of African tribes to build something that someday we can proud of. We may not have chosen to all be in this box but the reality is that we are, and we have gotten used to surviving on each others trust and co-operation. The way forward is not allowing selfish politicians to set us up to making a Fundamental mistake and setting us a generation backwards on this our Nigerian Project.

Regardless of what you have convinced yourself to belief, the average Nigerian Yoruba or not needs the support of every other nigerian tribe to thrive either as an employer or an employee. For almost 8years I have had a northerner as an investor in my company and also as my gateman - my life would change for the worse if either of them chooses to leave. Thanks to Nairaland and APC, bigots have become emboldened in this country in the last 10years. If APC believes they did not get enough support from the south East, sidelining the region as a response is the dumbest reaction, because the south east is part of nigeria. How can you then claim to be a national party if they are ok with sideling a region.

If you are not planning on running away from this country in the nearest future, if you want your children and grandchildren to not go through the same amount of poverty and suffering as our parents and this generation is going through then you have a civic duty to stand up now and speak your truth. We may not be able to control the stealing of every public official but something as basic as equity and fairness we should not be toying with so we can continue to hope and dream about the destination we want this country to get to and everyone watching from the outside can see that we are serious about becoming a great nation.

This is wrong - its the turn of the igbos to rule nigeria. But then its also fair to say that Atiku himself is a Detribalized Nigerian, and is a better choice than Tinubu who literarily started his campaign by saying that he is not interested in campaigning in the SS/SE as both zones are inconsequential, and Tinubus wife was caught on video saying we dont trust the igbos.

A person vying for the position of the father of this country should not be a person who writes off, disregards or denigrates a section of this country, and put us at log ahead for their selfish interests. Thanks to APC, bigots and tribalist have become much more bolder in the last 8 years. If we are going to be able to move forward as a nation, we need to return to a regime where every nigerian tribe or clan is treated as an equal stakeholder, where tribalism is treated as a felony. No one single nigerian tribe is better than the other, we need each others support to be able to unshackle ourselves, our country and continent from poverty.

We need a pan nationalist as a President.
