xedyl:I like your reasoning... |
The woman is polyandrous in nature. The man should just accept the second husband. |
...These are professional soldiers, they will isolate you, intimidate you until they find your weakest link and then exploit it. |
Romeo3:All you see is a screen displaying information Beneath the hood, Uber navigation algorithm has chosen a route and displays the chosen route over a map provided by Google maps. I think I'll take your advice though and go to bed, this is becoming tiring... |
Romeo3:You're the one suffering from a poor education if not you would understand that it doesn't even makes sense for Uber to let Google (or a 3rd party) handle navigation. That would give the 3rd party enough information to set itself up as a competitor to Uber. |
Romeo3:You'll have to use two different phones for that to work. Uber tracks phones using your IMEI not just your phone number. |
Romeo3:The fact that you're an uber driver doesn't mean you know anything about Uber, you're not even their employee. You only know what they want you to know – which is where to pick up a fare. Google maps and navigation are two different things Uber uses Google Maps for street names and addresses, but they choose the route by which you get to the destination except you choose to use a 3rd party app for navigation. |
Richy4:Google Maps has excellent maps of most cities in Nigeria Try it https://maps.google.com |
Romeo3:You're the one who is ignorant. Uber has it's own navigation app. Although drivers have the option to use third party navigation apps. https://www.theverge.com/2017/3/16/14940886/uber-driver-navigation-app-maps-ride-pickup https://help.uber.com/h/bdeb7821-30f0-45eb-b073-2e9dc7b508eb https://help.uber.com/h/90b140ff-0ba9-486b-b196-096a0f6d52a9 |
Richy4:GPS has almost universal coverage (The exception is at the poles) and has been available for civilian use worldwide since the 1980s. It has nothing to do with Uber. All high end smartphones and most medium specs smartphones have a GPS receiver. |
blackylola:The fact that Uber uses Google Maps for map data doesn't mean that Google is responsible for navigation. Uber does it's own routing. |
laudate:You're the one who seems to be pushing a perspective And your summary conveniently ignores Forbes and its editorial policy Any how enjoy yourself |
laudate:You said, in black and white, that Forbes has an editorial policy You also said, in black and white, that an article published by Forbes was poorly researched and is a fluffy PR piece How else should your post be summarised? |
laudate:To summarise your post – Forbes has an editorial policy that encourages poorly researched articles and fluffy PR pieces... |
laudate:Are you saying Forbes doesn't have an editorial policy? No standards? Any Mass Comm graduate can have an article published there? Like Nairaland? Doesn't the fact that they published it mean they endorse it? If someone has genuine grounds to question the article who would he sue? And if an apology or retraction is due who would be responsible? |
StOla: StOla:Human settlements are usually ranked on the basis of population. An example is given below from Wikipedia Megalopolis - a group of conurbations, consisting of more than ten million people each. Conurbation - a group of large cities and their suburbs, consisting of three to ten million people. Metropolis – a large city and its suburbs consisting of multiple cities and towns. The population is usually one to three million. Large city – a city with a large population and many services. The population is <1 million people but over 300,000 people. City – a city would have abundant services, but not as many as a large city. The population of a city is between 100,000 and 300,000 people. Large town – a large town has a population of 20,000 to 100,000. Town – a town has a population of 1,000 to 20,000. Village – a village is a human settlement or community that is larger than a hamlet but, smaller than a town. A village generally does not have many services, most likely a church or only a small shop or post office. The population of a village varies however, the average population can range from hundreds to thousands. Hamlet – a hamlet has a tiny population (<100) and very few (if any) services, and few buildings. Isolated dwelling – an isolated dwelling would only have 1 or 2 buildings or families in it. It would have negligible services, if any. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Settlement_hierarchy NaijaEfcc:The Forbes article gives Nnewi's population as "over two million", therefore unless Nigeria has a different set of objective standards for classifying its settlements, it is not wrong to call Nnewi a city. For the sake of comparison, the 18th largest metropolitan area in the US (Tampa, Florida) has a population of 3,032,171 (2016 estimate). While the 35th largest (San Jose, California) has a population of 1,978,816 (2016 estimate). https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_cities_by_population https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Metropolitan_Statistical_Areas |
LORDKing001:The National Space Research and Development Agency, Abuja seems like a good idea. http://www.nasrda.gov.ng There's also the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria http://www.ncat.gov.ng You may also want to check out some of our telecommunications firms |
Ashley86400:I would expect a "die-hard" reader of Game of Thrones to point out that in the book (unlike the TV series) the words of House Greyjoy is "We do not sow" And "what is dead may never die..." is part of the mantra of the Drowned Men. |
BORNTOSUCKPUSSY:Lt. General Frank Benson "Eye in the Sky" |
[If] you ever have one of those dreams where you know you're asleep but everyone around you thinks it's real, just remember who's awake. |
Why don't you decide on a theme first, then start looking for places/things in Nigeria that can go along with the theme. For example for (acceleration due to) gravity you could go to a mountain or for power, maybe a dam. |
How can we be be sure the Nigerians are illegal immigrants. For all we know they could have been SSS operatives tracking human traffickers or money launderers who were on-board the train. |
PMBNG:Some very irresponsible people are trying very hard to push this poison narrative. |
Given the low marriage age that was prevalent at the time she was a youngster, she should have a grandchild who is above a hundred years old... Any info on her descendants? |

Am I the only one who thinks maybe the director framed the driver of the 900K theft in retaliation |
She looks very much like Olajumoke Orisaguna, I wonder if they're related... |

jemmabond:Righty Thanks for the info |
What is being said is that the writer failed to do adequate & comprehensive research on certain aspects of his article, before going to press. Was the article libellous? No. So nobody is going to sue. But errors such as the one the writer made, turned an article that could have been a well-researched intelligent record, into a fluffy PR piece.
