TV/MoviesRe: The Most Overrated Movie So Far. by y3mi(m):
Joavid:
grin Hello people. smiley

The other day, my friend was saying how much he hates the Twilight movies and he thinks it's overrated. and come to think of it, there are a whole lot of overrated movies. That is, you don't get the hype but everyone is going high on it.
Actors and actresses too.

I will go first.

My random three overrated movies

Titanic
Yes Titanic. James Cameron is an amazing director. However, the story itself was hardly interesting or creative and the dialogue was absolutely terrible. Were there good aspects to the movie? Of course: special effects, song, the actors (although the acting itself could only do so much with the dialogue!).

Avatar.
Ok, I'll admit that at the time of its release we hadn't seen special effects that good. And for some reason that was enough.
Infact, i'm convinced future generations are going to be amazed that Avatar was the highest grossing movie of all time - because it's badly written, badly acted, has a hopelessly derivative story, it's incredibly predictable and it's just boring.

The Fast and Furious franchise.
I actually love how fast and furious fast and furious is.
Do you know Furious 7 is the 6th highest grossing movie of all time?
but then, it's just a mindless, cheesy action flicks with fast cars and hot babes. How will we explain that the most popular movie franchise of our time is about fast cars, half-naked women, cheesy lines about family, and men on steroids communicating through grunts?
I can't sad

My random overrated actors

Vince Vaughn - tries to hard to be funny. ends up looking ridiculous to me.

Robert Pattinson - very Boring actor, I'm sure he would be just as boring in real life. He's like a robot and very immature on screen.
Maybe i would have liked the Twilight films if he and his co-star wasn't in it. and that brings me to the next

Kristen Stewart - She's stone cold, shows no emotions, 100% expressionless and terrible actress.
She's an overrated, mono-tone, lucky actress! but I see her luck is not carrying on...hmmm!

Halle Berry - yes she's hot. pretty lady, beautiful body but a horrible actress. Never understood all the hoopla about her.
and yea, she won an Oscar for her rape scene in Monster's Ball -cos that's the best she could and can do.
She's been terrible ever since. cat lady retartedd cat.

that's all I can remember now grin

I really hope y'all contribute. don't leave me hanging please smiley
I don't think any movies adapted from an already established franchise (comic books, fantasy novel) can become overrated since they have to conform to the book story hence movies like the Robert Downey Jr. starred Sherlock Holmes (so loved it), Twilight series (like them), Fifty Shades of Grey (not a fan), Harry Potter (never being a fan), Jason Bourne (love it), Jack Reacher (lukewarm), Transformers (though loved the comics but hate all the films), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Love both the cartoon, comics & the movies) and all other ones I can't remember but whose premise are drawn from their book-based version can't be overrated. Overrated flicks are those with over-emphasized concept with much publicity than needed as though it's never being done before in both readable and viewable.

And you shouldn't have listed Titanic and Avatar as overrated, two great movies directed by James Cameron, the former being the the first to grace the billion dollars mark and the latter the second to break another billion dollar earning.

Come on, you gave your reason as to why Avatar is overrated, please tell me which movie has depicted how and why for the sake of materialis dependency and resource acquisition, the whites with their materialistic lifestlyes are willing to colonize and if possible destroy a whole race and wipe out its civilization because they possess superior technology and firepower, is it the world war II based 'Fury' ?

My list of overrated movies and the ones that flopped to my expectation are

2003
Finding Nemo

2004
Alexander
The Butterfly Effect
Taking Lives
Catwoman
The Grudge
Collateral
Blade: Trinity
Million Dollar Baby

2005
Elektra
War of the Worlds
Fantastic Four
Serenity
Brokeback Mountain
Æon Flux
Brokeback Mountain

2006
Ultraviolet
Lucky Number Slevin
Poseidon
Superman Returns
Miami Vice
Déjà Vu
Dreamgirls
Eragon

2007
We Own the Night
No Country For Old Men
There Will Be Blood

rest are still coming

Paris nah! lost it romantic aura long ago. Not an ideal place for us to rediscover each other. We can't be by a beach cuddling and some seriously pissed terrorist begins shooting at random. I think we should settle for anywhere in the Caribbeans, no disturbing Pirates around there any more. Last I checked they're now into movies and music.

Hello, could anyone please recommend a good dating site to meet guys in Lagos.... down to meeting new people. Nairaland is not doing it for me.

Please if you're here to judge me, just mind your business and pass. I don't want negative comments or holier than thou people to come here and be giving advice.
Hi Damsel, if that's you on your profile, you make Zoe Saldana appear ugly (If you understand what I mean). It is like a wild goose chase seeking for a Nigerian who fits your taste on dating sites, 70% of both sexes are either phonies or impersonators. I might suggest you try Mingle2.com but I can't assure you if it isn't already infested with the same illicit activities Nigerians do on whites-dominant dating sites which doesn't even have Nigeria among their list of countries. For all intent and purpose, the idea of online dating as a source too match meet is a 'dead on arrival' concept as far as Nigeria is conerned, and that's because of the pervading mentality here. It's nothing but an avenue where all types of characters come to prey and ply their trades. Just as someone has advised, it's safer and better to experience a one-on-one encounter/meet by hanging out in places where guys come to frolic but if you still hopefully insist on an online date zone, where for every one Nigerian Prince Charming you meet, you will have met nine Mr. Hyde in Dr. Jekill's guys. So good good luck on your search.

RomanceRe: Male Infidelity In Marriage And Its Societal Support by y3mi(m): 6:13am On Jun 26, 2017
swagguElite:
See this young man ...Your I.Q is as low as my blood sugar! ... Can't you endeavour to spare few minutes of your time to access the question posed by the OP n relate it to your comment! ...it is of no essence to this topic at all

Every bit of your statement contained pores of tantrums being thrown at my post ... My post was out there to advise n encourage women out there by giving reasons why ladies should avoid sleeping around with men

...since most of them believe because their male counterparts do it ...n they are not persecuted! ...they should given the same freedom to sleep around! ...that mentality is wrong ..n thus demanded my advise which was well doctored by my surgical apprenticeship post!

On the issue that bride price is a purchase price ...that's my presumption! ...because take a lot at it ...what's the essence of bride price in the first place ...you said ceremonial gesture! ..prrrrftt! Can you imagine! ...tell me why that ceremonial gesture is only prescribed for the female folks ...why not collect groom price also since yu said it is a ceremonial gesture.

At least since it is a ceremonial gesture .. N two families are partaking in such ceremonial occasion ..why don't the two families engage in exchange of groom price and bride price! ... You can see your school of thought is actually a school of error laced knots!

This is why I presume that ...it is a purchase price since under the Marriage Act in Nigerian Legal System n in accordance to the Nigerian Customary Law ...the wife is regarded as a property! ... Now tell me ... If she is a property. What does the dowry means ...is it not purchase price!

People may not view it as purchase price ...but am trying to break it down further that dowries collected before marriage are actually part of our custom as a gesture but in the in depth sense ...can be presumed to be a purchase price!

Don't say bride is an old age custom ...customs are our way of life ...no matter ao old it seems to have emerged ...it still leaves the stench on us till our very last breath! ...you can decide to not practice the custom ..that does not mean others won't continue it!

Some families don't collect bride price again ... Due to the depleting economic situation on ground

...some don't because they have enough money n their ego won't want them to collect anything from you

..some don't because probably the groom has been very close to them since childhood OR probably ...the groom has spent much on the family before the wedding ceremony is being planned for!

So! ..Mister I gave an advise to the female folks ..yu are not a lady also... Yu ar not fit to tell me the feminists strongly disagrees with me! ... Nemo dat Quod Non Habet ...you cannot give what you don't have ...you cannot tell me they disagree with me ..since yu ar in no position to claim you know their thoughts

Tell me! ..who made you lord over feminists? ..you are here claiming you know their mind ... Why don't yu just say you disagree with my school of thought rather than bloat around screaming your thoughts on behalf on the feminists!

Here you have it! ...knock yourself out!
The notion of perceiving women as mere human commodity to which monetary value is attached is what I oppose in males with such mentality and females who consider their worth measured only by price.

Don't say bride is an old age custom ...
Me stating it as an "old age custom" doesn't mean I am against it. Twisting my statement out of context to mean another thing is what hypocrites do. I only cited part of it definition to infer that not all humans living on the planet today observes it as it was in the past hence the word 'OLD', or you want to tell me folks in the western world are into it ?
customs are our way of life
It is also part of our customs to consult the divinities before doing so many things we take for granted and do today out of so-believed 'we are now civilized' swaqquElite the hypocrite please tell me how many people do so today ?

but am trying to break it down further that dowries collected before marriage are actually part of our custom as a gesture but in the in depth sense ...
Like I already said...hypocrites like you who roam about this country with their half-baked education irks me because you educated illiterates are only pro-culture/customs whenever it conveniently suit a bias in your world-view but are rigidly anti-culture/customs when some of us suggest we as a nation should fully go cultural and not partial such as asking the so-called leaders to swear oath under the presence of our African Gods and not the Abrahamic idols imposed on us by European colonialists and Arab jihadists in the past.

Back to the topic...
You stated:

Tell me why that ceremonial gesture is only prescribed for the female folks ...why not collect groom price also since yu said it is a ceremonial gesture.
At least since it is a ceremonial gesture .. N two families are partaking in such ceremonial occasion ..why don't the two families engage in exchange of groom price and bride price!
Why don't you do your intelligence a favor by first asking yourself WHO ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PRESCRIBING IT SO ? Oh wait you can't because you've proven to be an educated illiterate. Anyway nothing bad in being one as I'm used to them. If you have read far and wide you wouldn't be ignorant of the fact that the world originally started off as a matriarchal one where matrilineal was the order back then before it gradually changed to a patriarchal one through the millenia and patrilineal became the standard as we have it today. To break that down to your level, it means until power switched gender, human descendants used to bear the surname of their mothers and not their fathers, and yes it was females (parent) who paid the groom-price dowry for reasons that were valid in those ancient times (not Biblical period).

I care not whether you accept that it is the menfolk who prescribed promulgated that standard among other things aside from the marriage institution, but with that said, it is safe for me to anticipate a fiery comeback from you asking for proof, so here's the water to cool you off incase you do that - a surviving example of a society where evidence of matriarchy still lingers by practice can be found in India, although corrupted now - the female still pays the dowry.

Damn! ... Bride price is literally a purchase price ....according to the law ... All women are all regarded as properties! ....yes ...properties including my mom ..she is my father's property! ...under the law!

The bride price is a purchase price for the property being bought! ... It is customary! ...they consider women as an investment which before gotten must be bought ..since they will give birth, keep you warm in bed, clean the house n other house chores!

Just so you know women are regarded as Mother nature! ...they are expected to keep themselves clean by not involving in any form of unchaste life

because through you brings to life the future of our now! ...through you breeds our generations to come! ...that's why you should not engage in the same doggy(sleeping around) activities of men! ...

The same way yuar expected to be pure n untouched is the same way our leaders are excepted to be corruptionminded free! ... If they fail in curtailing their BlossomingSelfishMinds by engaging in corrupt practises ...they will be blamed n tinted in shadesOfShame by the public ..same thing applies to all ye women!

Don't follow the world(men) to do Evil! ..keep yourself pure ...you are Nature'sMostCherishedCreation ... You bleed very month, you grow faster than any other creation, you carry a child for nine months ...you are the only specie that can clear your eyebrows today n it will appear full the next day! grin #CaptainMakeUpToTheRescue!

On a serious note ... Be serious! ... You are in a man's world ...nonetheless You are the world the world needs for the man's world to grow! kiss ..so stay strong and hold your ground like aConversation!
For ya mind, u don make sense abi ? I'm sure the two people who liked your twisted reply think just like you.

You say...

"..that's why you should not engage in the same doggy(sleeping around) activities of men! ... "

Activities of men you say! You're warning women not to go around having sexual affair, that it's only exclusive for the men, so I ask your wise self...are those 'adulterous' men sleeping with men like them ? Is it not females they are going to be sleeping with ? It's the same single and married women you're advising globally to "keep themselves clean by not involving in any form of unchaste life" that will be the ones men who cheats are going to approach or be approached by. Also, by what your statement implies, it's 'the malefolk' who reserves the right to live an unchaste life, so what kind of lifestyle would you call those girls who were virgin before innocently convinced into a serious relationship by men who effectively hid their marital life from them ? I do hope you see the twists in your dreary post.

Secondly...you say "the bride price is a purchase price for the property being bought". That's the mentality that works in the olden days because it suits the way things were back then, not now. Even in the Yoruba culture, bride price is done as a ceremonial gesture not property sold as they emphasize on family marrying family and not just the couple. All in all, the feminists strongly disagrees with you.

When a man is cheating, the society askes his wife to pray for him.. when a woman cheats even if it is once, the man is asked to throw her out.. does this not show societal support of male infidelity in Nigeria?? Is this not a form of male chauvinismhuh
Diamond disregard those silly comments above. I like this topic you brought forth because it shares a similar bias with the question I asked HERE. Without engaging it deep, I have this to say...cheating in marriage in todays world is as a result of certain factors to which the nuclear marriage system proliferates. Let me ask you this - will you be in support of a world where means exist that can effectively curb or make cheating on one's spouse undesirable or prefer a 'cheat-and-let's-cheat' kinda world as it seems to be ?
RomanceRe: Staying Commited To One Woman Is Not Easy, Honestly by y3mi(m): 3:33am On Jun 25, 2017
IamAirforce1:
For sometime now I've been flaunting my new bae up and down this forum and you're whoever cared to listen that I got a new bae 2 weeks after breaking up with my former bae.

The honest truth is, I still miss my Ex because I've known her for 3 years and we were deeply in love before I dumped her.

I won't disclose why we separated.
But honestly I've missed the crazy things we usually do together.

I've missed the ass squeezing, the ass spanking, the laughter we had together, the smoke and drinks we had together.
I've missed the naughty naughty chats we usually engage ourselves in, I've so missed the hot ozza rooomy thingy and the bad asss smooches we enjoy together.

Honestly, my new girl is a perfect example of a good house wife but I'm a certified gee and bonafide stud and my Ex loved me like that

But this new baby of mine is yet to see the bad guy side of me and I don't know how she's gonna take it accept it because I the truth is "I no be gentle man like that".
If you won't disclose why you and your ex got separated like the slices between slice bread, how do you expect to be given a helpful opinion ? However, I see two things here,

1. As the Gee-studded 'niqa' you say you are then it's either you risk pulling off said acts of yours you say you missed doing with you ex on her and she responds accordingly to which will surprise you and definitely do some rethinking such as 'so much for good house wife' or she reacts in ways that plunge you further into reminiscence and eventually may collapse faster.

and

2. Continue to inhibit those proclivities which are natural to you for the sake of making this new relationship you seem to some cherish to last longer than the last, you just gotta start holding up or both of you are going to end up as another sliced-out bread, and while at it allow me to say this - you're one of them types that gives babes the chance to make silly statement like 'all guys are the same'.

The slide started and persisted so long it's become our reality here. People keep arguing about American artistes doing drugs and crime while singing about it but they forget that we seem to have higher percentage Drug Pushers outside Int'l borders earning enough National embarrassment for the country and other prospective travelers.

Many Visa-Denied Applicants do not even realize that the Yahoo-Yahoo sector contributed quite a heavy quota to the denting of Nigeria's image abroad until it got to a point many white dummies felt another word for "Fraud" was Nigeria but they keep hailing those boys all the same. To me, only thieves defend thieves that fiercely
I could recall a 2-3 page article I read in one of my Maxim magazines years ago, it was on how undercover Feds busted one of them big time modeling company/record label/club owner who utilizes models for white-dust trafficking round the world, I think he or one of his associates was linked to a murder and where all eventually rounded up with other accomplices. Point here is to second your already made point that no matter how famous a celeb, artiste or any one prestigious is over there, for the fact that their system works, no one is above is above their law irrespective of their social standing or status unlike here where all kinds of oddities reigns in the so-accepted entertainment industry.

I remember telling homies back then that most times many of these rappers we listen to oftentimes aren't involved in the things they rap about but a lot of Nigerian youths so much believe otherwise. They'll say yankee rappers are actually into those criminal deeds they rap about. But, little do they know that as true as it may seem, it's not entirely accurate. The mentality there is most times it's cool to rap about underworld stuff. If everything T.I. alluded to himself on his 'Trap Back' track were exactly true and as depicted in the music-video, he won't have found the time to wax and release subsequent tracks when he'll be jail cooling off his heels. He made several references about being involved in illegal activities ranging from being a cooker/mover to an active gangbanger. Many ignoramuses would watch that video or listen to the track and swallow it without realizing everything he claimed to have done can only be credited to his alter-ego TIP.

NBC?

Those id1ots have been missing the mark since 1802.

While it's true that US Hiphop/Rap genres, of which most of these guys are copy-catting, have an history of hyping Chicks, Cribs, Class, Cars & Blings gotten with ill-gotten Cash while shooting Vids that openly mime and promote these themes even to the point of tacitly endorsing "hood & gang violence" yet in the US, nobody or very few people actually do that. From Brooklyn, to Inglewood to Georgia to Philly, all gees know to keep their sh!t on the lowkey.

It'd be a rare case of stupidity-on-steroids or death-wish syndrome for anyone of them to be, actually, "moving keys" (i.e. kilos of white powder), defrauding folks or murdering people and actually singing about it! The cops would be on you faster than the raps bars you're supposed to be spitting and life can be very difficult for some type of ex-offenders in the US, i assure you, plus all the endorcements and stardom will just go poof once your imagery becomes a bit more than most of the law-abiding public can tolerate, hell, even Gees, pimps, dealers and hoodrats'll tell you they don't "want no cop trouble"!

But Nigeria's case is the opposite because these NBC theives have been taking bribes and lookin the other for so long the lowlife dregs actually have more sense of authenticity than the "good hardworking folk" now. Enough musical artistes and Nollywood are into yahoo-yahoo, wire-frauds, scams, drug-trafficking, prostitution even petty theft like Seun Egbegbe and co who go around stealing publicly and getting spanked but not quitting like deranged goats.

I guess we had it coming because a corruption-ridden haven like Nigeria can't have musicians doing showbiz "just for the art" for too long!
A real life example of the cops moving faster than the rap bars of a rapper-turned-suspect was that of the crime bragging artist Bobby Schmurda with his brash 'Hot Nigga' track and explicit video.

You said it yourself "If you can" and that is if one can.

But wait a sec, have you ever truly being in a committed relationship before, where in the long run all your dazzling high hopes was smashed ? If yes, then was that the 'way-to-go' you went ? Vacating the vicinity for awhile was how you managed to pull yourself back together ? Come on guy.

Be real with me David Grey, even Craig David would never try Walking Away like that without lashing out somehow. The only premise I might agree with you on is, if only you are referring to scenarios where the male is tired of the stale relationship already and by not letting her know yet, he waits untill the right time present itself to call it quit, but before that time arrives as he hangs on, the committed-looking babe surprises him by breaking it to him first that she is now loves someone else and pretemtious arguments ensue from the guy like he's concerned, whereas it's more like she's the one doing him a favor. So, perhaps maybe that's kind of a instance where your 'vacate the area to go chill out with your buddy' applies.

Wizklynd23:
Lemme start like this; I want to start a relationship but actually donno howtha start, girls alotha them in uni but scared to approach one, less am being disgraced...each time I try to approach one ma heart beats like drum and I will feel like, just forget about the girl and concentrate on something better,, Pls need your advice how can I go about it....
Wizklynd23 according to your OP - you need guidance on how to get engaged in a 'serious relationship' but your explanation appears to defeat your supposed intention as it presents us with two problems; one is your inability (not failure) to break the ice with a babe and the other presumably is how to further the relationship away from the default friend-zone to whatever kind of relationship it is you desire, be it a long term serious one or as-the-vibe-last romantic one, neither of which would be possible if you can't manage to establish yourself on her first.

Each time you try to approach some babe you feel attracted to and your heart skips, know this...what you're experiencing isn't peculiar to you alone, every male goes through that phase which only last for as long as that male keep failing to overcome it. All you need do first of all is to calm the heck down by killing your nervousness, make your advance on her without accosting her and begin politely with a greeting but however...

[1] NEVER make the mistake of rehearsing some composed speech because you might goof, instead be spontaneous i.e. be natural. Once you've gotten her into a flowing conversation then you can interrupt it just to introduce yourself...

YOU: "oh, by the way I am Wilson but my pals like to call me Wizklynd, what's your name ?"
HER: "I am Chizoba"
YOU: "That's a nice name, I wonder what it means"
or
YOU: "Chizoba, cool name, a fine girl like you should have a nickname"
HER: "No, I don't think I have any"
YOU: "Well, you wouldn't mind me giving you one, how about Alobam"
HER: *laughing* "you're very funny" or *she grins and says* "You're not serious"

[2] NEVER attempt to make any impression if your confidence can't be found otherwise you may appear pathetic, this is because your state-of-mind still finds her presence intimidating, instead be creative i.e. free style on any topic just to get her attention. You should strike an impression on her ONLY if whatever allures you in her can be reflected (based on your personality) rather than being absorbed which causes inexperienced youngsters to act silly.

and finally, which is the most important (due to our society)...

[3] NEVER in a bid to sweep her foot, be too eager to reveal whatever qualities you know you possess (if you actually do have) qualities can range from being rich, or being popular among certain circle, or being a genius, or being multi-talented or multi-lingual, or already self-made simply because there is no way of knowing for instance whether she's a pretentious gold-digging skank who would continue to act in ways that will keep bleeding you financially, all because at the onset you kept presenting yourself as a money-isn't-the-problem kinda guy except that's the kind of parasitic relationship you want in return for whatever it is she satisfies you with. Like wise the same hint applies to other kinds of babe, for instance, say you're seeking for a homely, bookworm kinda babe, you still shouldn't act in a manner that indicate you're overreaching in a bid to win her over fast, it usually tend to boomerang. Trust me.

Nuff said for now.

Wish you all faltering guys good luck.

You have QueenSuccubus to thank not me.

Feminism isn't a widely accepted ideologue

Besides that cogent arguments about gender equality are usually one sided and laced with so much bias by both parties

Like i said earlier a man is "expected" to be more matured "emotionally" than a woman

Comparing yourself to women and demanding equality for insignificant things is plain silly.
Feminism isn't a widely accepted ideologue, well so says you. It may be not be called 'feminism' in Kandahar nor was it called so when the British colonialists constantly poured huge amounts of coins on the roads of where Ijebu markets were majored in order to instigate the Ijebu womenfolks who concentrate there for trading to look their husband in the eye being financially equal if not superior, which actually did work. The British knew once the family is weakened, their menfolk would be destabilized socially enabling there colonial missions to proceed unhindered. Point is - for the fact they took those free currencies suggest that - the ideology behind what is termed 'feminism' today already exist globally in several forms albeit dormant and isn't peculiar to just some part of the planet alone such as the western world as you must have meant.

Back to the topic

I don't quite follow as what you seem to be saying is - the accumulation of bottled up emotional hurt without venting not only defines a matured man but also makes a man sissy as soon as he start emanating behaviors which to me is 'attuning' and maybe to others 'retributory' but to you 'comparing'. Even if you do tell me you've managed to be stoical with 19 heartbreaks and counting, I nevertheless will still have to disagree with you on some of the point you've made.

It's being a pleasure discussing with you, Davidgrey.

Society demands it from you

The social logic that "Men are emotionally more matured than women" Certain things aren't "expected" of you as a man

Attacking a woman that hurts you is a sign of weakness

Besides most times the death of a relationship is instigated by the man.
Let's be rational here bro...what makes that social logic valid ? If society demands it from us as males to be impassive when hurt by females for being more emotionally matured than them then why does the same society provides leeway for the feminists to agitate for gender equality in every context but when it comes down to being emotionally abused and destroyed, the male should soak it up for being emotionally stronger while the female reserves the privilege to unleash her demons when emotionally hurt if decide to. I don't hate females neither have I suggested women/babes should be attacked when ever they hurt men/guys, I just want that recurring proverb to be examined much deeper.

I wonder what are they slaying undecided ?
Only the injured soul(s) who invented that word can provide us the answer. BTW, I hope you aren't among the SlayQueen most on here are raving about given your 'Succubus' title, if by chance you are, then perhaps you could come up with a definition for a KingIncubus i.e. a Slay King grin!
RomanceRe: Reasons Why Many Of Our Young Girls Are Going Into Slay Queens And Babymama by y3mi(m):
First of all, excuse me for not catching up with this colloquial but where the hell did the word 'Slay queen' originated from, who coined it and what exactly does it mean ? In the Nigeria parlance we are all familiar with the meaning of those who are referred to as aristos, those who are consider themselves runs-girl and part of the characteristics of those who response to these two social titles is not limited to the gold-digging nature of their activities among other expected wiles they are notorious for, so I presume someone really wounded came up with that word and I hope someone here on Nairaland gives it a proper definition as to what makes much-trending 'Slay Queen' different from the aforementioned two.

1, Quest For Material Things
Bro...that's a stale reason, tell us something we don't already know. And for your information, reality is we males are more materialistic and egocentric than females. FACT!

Wisdomkosi Says:
2, Many Babymama have monthly allocation lol: This is true, not long ago I heard that one popular musician gives his babymama 300k every month for being his babymama. Now tell me how many graduates do you think their monthly salary are up to 300k? If the answer is no, tell me why many girls will not want to be a babymama. This is another strong reason why many girls have decided to become babymama. Lol
Pointless. Bro it will be unbias of you if you had examine such information from both end before hopping into the kind of conclusion you made here, what makes you think Linda Ikeji don't keep one or two machismo on her pay roll for whatever it is she desires from them ? But because it is kinda cool among guys to keep hearing what you wrote doesn't mean there aren't 'gigollos' or what some like to call 'fkuc boys' all around the nation seeking for who to fund them in whatever lifestyle they choose to live by. You attempt to cite financial poverty as a factor which drives young girls into becoming slayqueen and baby-mamas is defeated by your inability to realize that it cuts across both gender in Nigeria.

Wisdomkosi Says:
3 Bad Association : Many young girls don't even know what it is to be a slay queen or babymama but because they now associate with bad friends, those bad friends have actually lured them into believing that becoming a slay queen or babymama is the best. Whenever they see these bad friends leaving large, buying expensive clothes, shoes, phones, etc they will have no option than to join the bad friends there by spoiling their useful habits which is very bad.
AGREED 100% but please remove that young girl's image from your write-up, it is unnecessary, think of her as one of your siblings, a young sister.

Wisdomkosi Says:
4, Social Media : In this era where social media is making our young girls go gaga, and learn many bad things. You will believe with me that social media have contributed immensely into our young Nigerian girls becoming slay queens and babymama. Many young girls feel jealous if they see many celebrity babymamas, e.g, Wizkid, Davido‘s babymamas etc posting pictures on their various social media accounts.
Not just Social Media, Abrahamic religions and the so-called Nigerian entertainment industry with all their uncensored acts, lewd behavior and explicit dialogues are also a major contributing factors that continue to shape their mentality as well as the mindset of the upcoming ones who watches on and learn from Nigerian feems, Yoruba feems, YorubaMagic, AfricanMagic...So much for Parental Guidance. This Content Is Only Suitable to Viewers Below 16 my foot. So don't just nail it on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc or are Nigerian babes the only ones they were created for ?

Wisdomkosi Says:
5,Finally Many Break Up : Many of these our young beautiful slay queens and baby mama's have had many break ups and have vowed not to enter into any relationship again instead they choose to become slay queens and baby mama's. On behalf of the slay queens association, I beg our guys to minimize how they break these young girls heart. Make una dey hold them strong. Lol
I strongly disagree, refer to this two threads. The Big Question: Why Not Him And Him Only? and The Big Question: Why Is The Male Expected To Suffer In Silence When Jilted ?

8 hours gone and not even one reply...I am not wowed because I am not surprised as this only proves there only exist a handful of matured members left on Nairaland. At least it's good to know the condition given can effectively deter trolls and derailers. Nice one.
