If you don't have money but have power, you are as useless as the P in psychology. Money stops nonsense!!!
Get money, even the person that has power would be calling u sir upanda.

Which always make me curious, Why does everywhere in Nigeria look like it got hit by a nuclear bomb? Why? Why don't we have modern streets and cities!!
Since the inception of Nigeria, I Don't think we have built any city, And please don't even mention Banana island, It's a piece of crap!!
It's sad that only about 3% of Nigeria is actually developed and the other 97% is just straight up piece of trash!! Lack of futuristic planning |

I have met alot of young ladies online and when I tell them I am from Nigeria they don't want to leave me. Some of them become more desperate to come over to Nigeria or I go over to see them. I have been wondering but I need to put this out here. Why do we easily atract ladies from other African countries? Screenshots below... I just found out there's electricity debts of 500k unpaid to IBEDC.
How do I handle this?
I know it will be difficult getting such a negligent previous owner to pay such bills. Reach out to the landlord first, second if by all means get your own prepaid meter for the apartment, disconnect the existing one for now if the landlord is not cooperating, it's better you pay postpaid than you pay that debt |

adebayo987: In civil service, we call it retirement benefits/pensions. The money is nothing to the Saudis. All they want is the players' influence on their football, that is, to motivate their younger players, to get their fans watch Saudis football, to attract international attention, to make their football relevant like other top leagues, to build skills in their country to be able to win world cup, etc. and lots of other benefits. So, the money they're paying is nothing. As for the players, they're just going to arrange for their retirements. It's either you go through with it or call it off. Simple Exactly, the day we free ourselves from our unnecessary traditions then many will keep getting married late |

Jewessgratitud3: Guys, marriage is not chere wereh. Be financially prepared when planning a wedding and stop making the woman feel bad at the end of the day like she caused your downfall.
You are the one who went for her hand in marriage so you should be very ready on all levels to go through with it and provide all that is required in the list and for the ceremony. This why I said some time ago that a guy earning 100k can not get married and many came for me. You will end up borrowing at one point or the other.
Why he's ignoring the lady in the new marriage now is what I don't get. Dem force am? Biko kwa. Make una dey hold enough before talking about marriage and wedding ceremony. Getting married is not expensive na werey dey worry many of us in Nigeria. If I were the guy I will just stop the wedding process even if I had all the whole cash. The father of the lady is just interested in selling his daughter |

Nice2023: I just clocked 40 year old and I feel as if I have not done well for myself. May be because I had always set a standard, hence my high taste and expectations.
Now goes the question,as a Nigerian, what achievement do one expects from a 40years old man irrespective of his education? It's okay to feel like that, now get a paper and write down what important things you have been able to do since you clock 20. It can include going to school even if it secondary school Starting a business Getting a certification Getting married Having children Traveling to some cities and state within and outside Nigeria Among others. Look out for what make them successful Then on another list the most critical mistakes you made and what you have not being able to do. Write out the possible reasons why you made such mistakes and how you can avoid them. Then list the things you want to achieve by the time you get to 60 It doesn't have to be about money |

Doolove: Good afternoon everyone, I am currently in a fix and doesn't know my way around the cross road that I have found myself in. I will try to be very brief.
I just graduated not long ago and just finished my project a couple of weeks back. I've been looking for a job and submitted my cv is some places.
Now there is a single man probably in his forties that has been on my case, he has bailed me financially several times and already shown interest in me and my boyfriend knows about the man. He is also aware that the man tried to force himself on me when I went to visit him on two separate occasions but I managed to escape.
The man offered to connect me to a job that pays 50k in abj while I stay in a room in his apartment since he's not always in town. Now this is an upgrade to the 20k jobs that I've been seeing in my present location but my issue is that my boyfriend is against me staying in the man's house because he knows the man is interested in me.
Instead, he is suggesting I stay with my rich uncle that resides in Abj but the issue is that the man is too strict and everyone in the family avoids him so I can't possibly stay there. My guy is facing some financial challenges and I can't depend on him right now.
Should I stay back in my location and look for better jobs or should I move to Abj and damn the consequences of living with the man because I already know the outcome? First question ask your boyfriend is he ready to marry you in two to four years time. Second if you feel you can endure harassment to the extent of being r*ped or having sex with the man due to just 50k salary then go ahead. Third if you feel like being strict is being bad without getting closer to the strict family member then it's okay. Select which you prefer and do what pays you the most |
Family › Re: I Can't Forgive My Late Mummy And My Daddy by Ynix(m): 1:29pm On Aug 06, 2023 |
peretei2024: My fellow Nairalanders,
Tell me why I must forgive my daddy and my Late Mummy.
I was 4years while my elder Sister was 6years when my daddy and my Mummy had a serious misunderstanding, so few weeks later, my daddy was transferred to Kaduna from Lagos being a Solder ( who knows I he was the on that requested for that).
On one fateful day, my Mummy went to the market to buy some stuffs in the Market, then here com my Daddy's younger Sister( Aunt) with a vehicle. She forced I and my elder Sister to the vehicle and moved is straight to my Daddy's village in Ondo State. We cried, cried , and cried but our tears couldn't saved us.
Finally we landed in a village where there is no light, no hospitals, no good schools, in the hand of strange people we don't know.
Remember I said we were moved when I was 4years. Now at 5years in the village, daddy never visited, mummy never visited, so I had to start tapping Palmwine just to raise money to start my Primary school in the village. After a year or so, I was able to get some money to pay for my Primary school. I decided that I can't continue with this Palmwine tapping at this year, so I work hard and raise some money to start selling bottles of kerosene to sponsor myself from Primary to Secondary school.
When I was in JSS3 , my Elder Sister got pregnant for a guy out of frustration and betrayal from the path of our Parents who abandoned us for years. Our Uncle in the village who never care about us , informed my daddy that his daughter is pregnant for a guy ooh, then my daddy said the guy must marry her . Finally the guy agreed, then my daddy who never visited us for over 15years came down to the village because of the money he will collect.
After marriage rites, I was taken to Lagos by my elder brother.
Note: my Mummy whom I never see for over 15years knicked me out of the house after spending just 1week with her in the house. Her complain was that I believe like a bush boy.
My elder Sister is still married to the guy in the village and she can't even express herself in English, and this is a lady that was born here in Lagos.
Tell me how I will forgive them after going through hell because of selfish Parents.
My mummy died 4years ago but I didn't even know where her grave is because we were never in good terms and till tomorrow, I will not forgive her not even my daddy. You better forgive forget and move forward what about those who don't know their parents at all |

Greenscientist: I'm not someone that take tribal sentiment on my head, I'm just saying the truth.
Only Ibadan is bigger than the whole of Abia state, Oyo state and Southeast are on par in term of land mass - Go and verify😁
This means there is no much land to go round. You systematically buys Front lanes of cities not because you're richer than your host, but because your host majorly don't like business and will prefer to sell a land of 1M for 15m and go and start life somewhere else. Ultimately, you people becomes Yoruba along the way.
The green/purple/yellow roofs you people have are because they are newly built houses and they are due to two reasons.
1. You people are ready to share property immediately your parent die
2. There are not many land to go round
You people know business 🤝 but that doesn't mean your host are not successful, if they don't have the purchasing power you would not be here. How many USA company is in Nigeria?
A Yoruba lecturer with 400k in a month is content but a Igbo counterpart will look into business and will be financially better than the first but that doesn't the first is not content with what he have. Bros they don't know business they know trading which actually they learned from the Ijebus, the Ijeshas and the Igbominas. The missing link in the last century was that this major three Yoruba dialects didn't include apprenticeship else the igbos will not be boasting of being business oriented today. It was the civil war that push many of them into apprenticeship which today they call business which is actually trading. How many of them are actually into world class manufacturing, very few and to that all they are doing as regards trading every tribes in Nigeria have selected population who love trading too. The main issue is that we don't take statistics seriously in our country |
