Sports / Re: Morocco Opt Out Of Hosting 2015 afcon by yoji: 12:53pm On Nov 09, 2014 |
crownprince102:So you are now comparing Morocco a third world country to Spain a western European country, are u for real? You should note that Morocco was not forced to host afcon, as they bidded for it and won it so their concerns have to be taken seriously. Even south Africa that CAF was confident would replace Morocco on short notice has ruled itself out. The thing is Africans inter travel and when you have all that amount of people descending on your country, you need to be scared. Firstly, an ebola infested country doesn't have to qualify for citizens of that country to come and secondly, a senegalese who got infected while in guinea can bring it. It's complicated. The truth it's only logical to assume the risk of is higher from hosting a tournament exclusively for Africans. 2 Likes |
Music/Radio / Re: Nigerian Music: It’s Now All About Sex And No Sense by yoji: 6:59pm On Nov 04, 2014 |
There is nothing wrong with Nigeria music. Every artist has meaningless and meaningful music in their catalogues. It's jus that people are more drawn to the senseless club joints and therefore the media reciprocates by promoting those ones. Firstly why listen to wizkid when there's bez, ASA, etc, then if you must listen to wizkid, why listen to "show u d money" when there's "ayo" in the same album? |
Politics / Re: Mark To Run Again For Senate. by yoji: 7:13am On Oct 28, 2014 |
The man is a scam. I used to think very highly of him thanks to his gallery abuja politics until i was forced to travel through idoma land to kogi state to attend a wedding. We took the diversion cos of gridlock caused by the floods on the normal lokoja axis. It was one of the biggest shocks i had ever received. The roads were so bad it almost made my car loose its second hand value. The pot holes were big enough to swallow a whole car! When we got into the middle of the town, i lost all respect for the man. Couldn't believe the heartland of idoma land was in such a terrible state. Idoma people should realise that David mark is in the race for himself and his family. 8 Likes |

Politics / Re: I’m Not A Religious Fanatic —buhari by yoji: 7:35am On Oct 26, 2014 |
What's d worst he can do if elected into office even as a fanatic? Order southern states to build more mosques or risk being starved of revenue? The worst he can do is have a cabinet that favours more Muslims who would steal money and share with their families, which is no different from what's happening presently. |
Music/Radio / Re: Naija Hip Hop And Its Emptiness (Stroking The Admiration Of The Shallow Minds) by yoji: 6:06am On Oct 26, 2014 |
Their songs are not empty, it's that the empty songs in their albums get more airplay than the so called meaningful songs simple. Every artist has songs where he expresses his struggles, songs of appreciation for fans and family, songs that express societal ills and songs for the clubs. Now the question is, why do the club songs get more airplay? This means your grouse should be on the media houses and not the artists. Timaya sang 'ukwu, which got way more airplay than "bow down', a brilliant song by the same artist. So whose fault? Wizkid despite his widely popular meaningless songs has a beautiful song for his mum on the same album which rarely gets airplay, whose fault? |

That line was dope o! At that point goodluck had not brought the girls back, and he used his name as that was the link with painting the picture of taking another dudes girlfriend. Cool. And by the way since when did rappers have to become politically correct? Besides the song wasn't mainstream. 1 Like 1 Share |

Sports / Re: Di Maria Vs Hazard:who Is D Best by yoji: 5:01am On Sep 28, 2014 |
Hazard is overrated. Towards the end of last season, hazard was kept quiet in the champions league while Di Maria dazzled as Madrid won le decima . Both were at the world cup and while hazard froze, Di Maria's injury cost his team the world cup. Plus hazard is predictable with limited skill set i.e run at the defender, cut in and shoot basically. But Di Maria has more variety. 2 Likes |

Thing is, most people that know beiber know ronaldo too since they are based in the Americas and Europe, but there are more people that know ronaldo without knowing beiber. Ronaldo is watched week in week out and events on the field are subjects of constant debates regularly. 4 Likes |

Funny how people that make excuses for dbanj as just an entertainer, come here and expect p square to be Jill Scott. P square have always been entertainers/ crowd pleasers by maintaining the style that made them successful. Even if don't like it, u can't fault them for that. 1 Like |

boko haram believe they are winning considering their advances, so why would they give u valuable information freely?? They jus gave the overrated whiteman something to justify his efforts. This is just a distraction and APC couldn't resist the opportunity to expose their thoughtlessness. It's more plausible for the cancer and HIV cures to be discovered this month than for this to be true. But wait o, black people are draft sha. So the first COAS from the east who's a Christian who was heavily celebrated by his kinsmen returned their favour by sponsoring boko haram to wipe them out. Nice try dummies. Here's the best part, boko haram was on the retreat while he was sponsoring them abi ?!? |

Music/Radio / Re: What I Feel About Naija Music. by yoji: 6:50am On Aug 21, 2014 |
There is nothing wrong with Nigerian music. It's you who listens to club music expecting lyrical prowess that has a problem. You are just jealous this generation seem to be making more money than previous so you come up with a blanket statement to discredit Nigeria music as a whole. Just keep to Bez, asa , gt the guitar man, waje, 2face, adol, brymo, timi dakolo, t.y. bello, toba gold, nosa , Leo wonder, nneka, omawunmi, Lara George, mike aremu, infinity, ese peters, sound sultan ,etc and you'l be just fine. So pls stop ranting |
