rafcrown: No regrets whatsoever. 10 years of legal work in any capacity you qualify for pension for life, promptly paid,in ££££ and more than the salary of a fresh graduate. Unless you are spending naira in the UK, that comparison is baseless! |

Panda7: Is it the same bank where I have families and relatives working there, but please maybe you judge by their lifestyle or they don't just reveal to you but even bank managers don't earn up to 200k every month unless by fraud Those bankers you know are contract staff. Currently, no bank pays its entry level staff, aka graduate trainee below 300K per month. So, how would managers not earn more than 200K per month? Please learn to debate responsibly. |

Because your friend change dollar and be showing off doesn't mean he got paid legitly, even I have earn $3,000 from yahoo pay, but did I earn such the following month? No. Tech my asshole and be encouraging frauds So, because people countered your false claims on no one earning more than one million naira in Nigeria, they've become yahoo boys? So everyone who countered your claim is a yahoo boy? What a pathetic way to reason! |

rajiedreez: What makes life kinda difficult is that majority of Nigerians have entrepreneurial spirit in them and here in Nigeria you can be an entrepreneur without adhering to government policy which is very impossible abroad. Also it's difficult to get a professional job there with the barest minimum qualifications like in Nigeria. Yet Nigeria has a high unemployment rate and few big indigenous companies. |

Dennisochampa: There is a thin line between lucrative Job in 9ja and menial job in abroad.... Take for example.... A salary job of 500k monthly after all deductions in 9ja....its a good job to you.. In the UK, you can earn as much as 12 pounds per hour for factory jobs... If you work 8hrs, u earn 96 pounds.... And for 3 days work, u can get an equivalent of 1 month 9ja salary..... So the menial job abroad pays more than the office or lucrative job in 9ja in some cases... Though not all..... It's pointless as you're not spending naira in the UK. So, stop the conversion. |

Panda7: Sir, if you are sure of your statistics you can go ahead and mention their roles and the companies they work. Working in a big or established companies don't guarantee you must earn very high. It's just packaging or showing off.. even during job interviews, the last question is usually how much you hope to earn and you cannot possibly tell your employee you wish to earn up to 200 and 500k a months and expect a call back. Even people who work in tech companies usually get there through expenditures All this grammar DOESN'T negate the fact that there are people who earn 1m+ naira working in Nigeria. That's an undeniable fact. |

Donaldoni: I never said Nigerians are rich. I am only saying Nigerians abroad are by no means better off in the contexts of their environment.
The dollars you send home that becomes big money here cannot take you anywhere over there.
Naira is still very valuable despite the devaluation. And when the refineries resume, things will definitely improve significantly.
I have access to almost 24 hours electricity. A sizeable number do. That's a lie, and you know it. Nigeria goes beyond Lagos and Abuja. Nothing like sizeable number Indoor running water and all that are no biggie.
World bank stats and the likes HAVE NEVER been accurate. They NEVER consider all the factors.
Diaspora remittances are have NEVER helped our economy!! Again, that's another lie. Many Nigerians, especially in the south, and the Nigerian government depend on remittances from their relatives in the abroad. Many structures and construction projects in Nigeria are financed by diasporans. So, it is a barefaced lie to say diaspora remittances don't help the economy. |

Demigod22: Well, I can't tell a rich man how to spend his money. He already has three plots of land in Abuja.
After paying the girl 200k, he collected an apartment in a hotel, that's suites that cost 150k per night for three days. VinnyBaba, Have you seen why you should NEVER try to dictate how much a man should spend HIS OWN MONEY? Is there any land in Ughelli that costs more than a plot in Abuja? @demigod22, I'm curious, what does your guy do for the a living? |

In my community in Ughelli, Delta State, a Good Piece of land is 850K. What makes you think the guy who paid 200K doesn't own a piece of land which is more expensive than any land in Ughelli? |

ruggedtimi: i heard about a hair dresser that is earning more than $3000 per week in the u.s, her story was online i think last year. But my personal experience, my secondary sch classmate works at citibank in the u.s. When he came back just last month. He did a three days get together for exclassmates in an expensive lounge, fully sponsored by himself. On the first day Myself had something worth 30k and we were ro a bank staff with not more than 4yrs experience. Even a politician on state level here in nigeria we hardly do such. He's a skilled professional in the US, where salaries are very high. Citibank is a big bank, so it's not surprising he earns so well. Remember, he earns in US dollars. America is the best place to work as a black professional. |

nedu666: At least they are paid for the job, we'll paid. E easy to earn 12pounds for nightshift for care home, earn 15 quid for sanitation officer plus paid overtime and holiday. Have you seen refuse collectors or security asking anything for the boys. In Nigeria person clearing gutter they will pay him 2k after 8 hours work. Road cleaners will work everyday for 15k a month, lawma boys will be looking like horror movie and still asking anything for the boys. What Remi is saying is that those doing those jobs wouldn't do them in Nigeria. I will support the japa of LAWMA boys to japa to the UK and become cleaners, but wouldn't support corporate professionals in Nigeria to do the same. Let's not talk of security, cleaners, private school teachers. Abeg japa and forget all these failed leaders whose children are abroad but discouraging you not to japa Agreed. Nigerian elites are being hypocritical. Their children reside abroad, so they lack the moral rights to deter others from emigrating. |

tshtsh: Lol. earning 4 or 5 times their bank pay. After covid (2021 upwards) European and US companies began to hire developers from Africa in large numbers and most of us moved again ( I was in Johannesburg then). Got a software gig in Toronto and moved again. Our bosses at the bank who were so used to the system to spending multiple years on one level and playing politics (praising the bosses) became bitter that people they trained are now earning much more than them. Those banks are actually destroying young people. No wonder the CEOs started lamenting and even discouraging young talents from relocating. Like the CEO of GT Bank. Nigerian elites no be am. |

LyfeJennings: U can do FCMB, First Bank or Zenith For importation Form M, Form A and all of that FBN & Zenith is very good They have good international credit line for importation FCMB is also very good for export Depending on ur preference But the company should have their directors reside in Nigeria or Nigerian citizens for proper documentation Thank you for your response. I was leaning towards UBA or Zenith or Fidelity. Omitted Access for personal reasons. With this, I might choose First Bank even though I never had it in my mind. In business, logic before emotions. You didn't mention StanbicIBTC or Standard Chartered. |

LyfeJennings: U don't get it Zenith Bank is not a deposit bank They do not have deposit target It is more of a transactional bank No HNI or Institution will ever deposit money with Zenith Bank based on rate Yes, the government will do so only based on rs did she spend on each grade from ET to rise to GMD She's smart, no doubt but she's a high level player in the system Sorry for inserting myself into the discussion, but which bank would you recommend to a foreign company to open have a corporate account with? This foreign company is based in the developed world and would engage in lots of exports and imports from Nigeria to the various parts of the world. |

Staffs over-time benefits, health insurance, leave allowance, housing allowance, holiday bonuses will all be slashed by the new Nigerian management. Not forgetting nepotism also.
After Shell sold their onshore assets to Nigerian oil firms to manage that's exactly what happened Wow! Why is this prevalent with Nigerian management team? It's surprising. |
