favor914: Very funny, state police? Indeeda You are amongst the true version of what they call the masses, the ones been played by people practicing politics.
Who are the people that will form the so called imaginary state police, isn’t it the same youths I am saying government should empower with the security votes money today who have shown themselves capable for duty? Youths in Edo formed a vigilante to fight against Fulani herdsmen and even deployed juju. Their efforts worked, until the Nigerian Police, yes the police, arrested them because they fought against Fulani herdsmen. |

Crime › Re: Thief Snatches Over 40 Iphones From Oakland Store While People Watch by YoshihideSuga: 12:06pm On Apr 28, 2024 |
Jakumo: Inner city ghetto America is home to swarms of illiterate blacks who only talent in life is crime, incarceration in prison, and premature death at the hand of their own gun-toting homies.
These ghetto monkeys are easily identifiable in their natural habitat because they ALL wear trousers that are three sizes too small, which remain stuck around the knees of the coon, who is then at liberty to display their entire buttocks for the world to see. Luckily, wearing one's trousers down around one's knees makes running away from crime scenes virtually impossible, thereby making the job of police officers much easier. The California law that limits shoplifting prosecutions to items valued over a thousand dollars triggered an epidemic of smash-and-grab crime in the Golden State. That utterly insane law needs to be repealed so that these thieving coons can be sent to jail where they belong, and where free food awaits them all.
Ultimately, the habit of displaying pricey merchandise within the grabbing range of ghetto monkeys will go the way of the telephone booth, and be replaced by the retail sales model seen with some shopping outlets in the UK, whereby customers are only allowed to view the product line in color catalogs available in the retail store. After selecting the item they want from the color catalog and paying in full FIRST, a store employee then goes to retrieve the selected merchandise from a secure back room storage area, which is then handed over to the customer waiting at the counter. That's how it's in most phone stores in Nigeria. However, in wealthy Asian countries such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea and even Malaysia, items are displayed openly without the fear they would be violently stolen. |

Centrix: Use this book to practice https:///product/catholic-high-school-entrance-exams-coop-hspt-tachs-5885635 I think certain primary schools have an edge because they teach the type of content that comes out in the exams. Ultimately, the exams are a test of IQ. Admission is strictly on Merit. An average child cannot keep up with the rigor and pace of learning which is why it's important they admit the best kids.
Loyola enforces rules regardless of whose children they are of. Again, thank you. I hope you wouldn't more questions, especially regarding the elite crop of secondary schools in Nigeria. I'm interested in conducting a research about that group of schools. It's the reason I'm asking. |
Education › Re: Femi Ositade Gets $3.5M Scholarships From Harvard, 13 Foreign Universities by YoshihideSuga: 7:12pm On Apr 25, 2024 |
Centrix: I'm not sure about the salaries but I do know they are not a for-profit organization like most private schools so teachers are paid generously. Fees this year is about 5 million. They do have additional termly fees for using medical facilities and a few other services.
Loyola is VERY selective in its admissions. Every year, about 2500 students sit for the entrance exam into JS 1. They accept only 120 (about 4 percent of applicants). Every student must live in the boarding house and they do not accept transfers into other classes. So your classmates in JS1 are the same ones you'd graduate with in SS 3 barring those that leave in-between. It is a very close-knit community.
They've had and still have some pretty high profile parents. Mind you, they'd NEVER admit your kids based on who you are but strictly on Merit. The entrance exam is administered once in a year, followed by an interview. Some of the high profile parents are: Former Kano State Governor and present APC chairman, Ganduje, had two kids there. One graduated in 2004 and was just appointed by Tinubu as the Executive Director of Rural Electrification (Umar Abdullahi) Former Nassarawa Governor's daughter, Adamu. I think he is a senator Former Edo State Governor and former APC chairman, Oshiomole. Former Ekiti Governors son and daughter, Oni. Former Akwa Ibom governor and current Senate President, Akpabio had two kids at Loyola Former Imo State Governor's son, Udenwa. Former Imo State Governor's daughter, Rochas Okorocha Former Kogi Sate Deputy Governor, Omeiza Former Labor party's presidential candidate, Patrick Utomi. Had two kids at Loyola Abike Dabiri had two kids Former Ambassador of Nigeria to Switzerland Uhomoibhi, had two kids Former Finance minister's kid, Diezani Madueke, graduated in 2003 (This was long before she became minister) Former CEO of Fidelity Bank, Ihejiahi, had 4 kids there Fomer CEO of Konga had two kids there, one of which is CEO of the firm
A good number of senators: Ndoma-Egba, Chris-Asoluka etc. There are quite a number, can't type it all. You see this information you have dropped here? I'm extremely grateful and pleased. Thank you! One last question, how does one groom his or her child to be able to pass the exams and interviews to gain admission into LJC? P.S. An observation, if it's based on merit, how come there are quite a number of politicians who send their children to the school? I sincerely hope they don't influence the tutoring, scoring and administrative processes. Na Nigerian politicians we dey talk about. P.S. I think the child of Kogi's Audu was accused of sexual harassment by one prominent TwitterNG feminist some years ago. Both attended the school. |

Centrix: The difference between Loyola and Ambassadors is that Ambassadors has a few shining stars that they put forward for competitions. Loyola has an entire school with stars. Also, Loyola does not advertise itself like other private schools do. For the class of 2023, one student got a full ride to Princeton (currently the highest ranked US university), another got a full ride to Yale. Two students got full scholarships to Johns Hopkins (one of the best medical schools in the US). They had one full ride to University of Chicago and two to Rice University, Houston (all of these schools are top 10 universities). One to UCLA, USC and UCal Berkeley. This same set had 89 students, 77 of them had over 300 in JAMB.
In 2022, they produced the best student in JAMB, Eyimofe Adebayo. The same student got a fully funded offer to MIT.
More than 80 - 90 percent of every set gets into top schools in the US, UK and Canada. Last year, 2 students represented Nigeria in Olympiad Chemistry in Switzerland
Also, every year, they send 25 ss2/3 students to participate in Model United Nations at Washington DC in February.
The difference is, they don't advertise like private schools do This is an impressive list of achievements. The fact it's normal means the standard is the norm, not an exception. I'm curious, which curriculum is used for teaching? How does the school recruit exceptional teachers? Any idea of the entry level salary for a teacher? What does it take to be employed there? What is the profile of parents who send their children to LJC? Sorry for the too many questions. |

If she wants to know her value, she should try to date or marry one of those men calling her that's when they would remind her she is just a 304.
Shalom These women know what they do, so expecting them to feel ashamed or be in dire need of a husband doesn't really work like that. |

KnownUnknown: If their methodology was sound they’d at least print pro forma financial statements to back up their nonsense. Don’t hold your breath waiting for that though. For public companies, such records are public. For private firms, they're estimates, especially judging from competitors' value and companies' statements. And the fact that they’ve been printing to unloading their rubbish list since 1978 means nothing. The Catholic Church has existed for almost 2000 years and published dogmas and doctrines that are absolute nonsense. So doing something for a long time doesn’t mean it’s factual or accurate. Fair enough. We agree to disagree. |
Celebrities › Re: I Regret Wearing Bikinis, Nudity – Rihanna by YoshihideSuga: 12:53pm On Apr 24, 2024 |
KnownUnknown: Lol, if you could think critically or know anything about banking, financing, or fiduciary duties of people who would be in possession of these financial records, you wouldn’t be lapping up every crap you read.
Public records used to determine the wealth of owners of publicly owned companies are the only estimate that’s reasonable. Forbes states its methodologies used in ranking wealthy people. Methodologies used for privately owned companies differ from individuals or dynasties or jointly owned businesses. Forbes also excludes individuals who are part of monarchies for obvious reasons. So, it's absurd to state that Forbes doesn't consider the bold. What is even baffling is how you outrightly state that Forbes Magazine is wrong when you haven't published your own ranking stating which methodologies were used. |
Celebrities › Re: I Regret Wearing Bikinis, Nudity – Rihanna by YoshihideSuga: 9:27am On Apr 24, 2024 |
KnownUnknown: Because Forbes magazine is not an authority and don’t have access to the private financial records that would allow them to make a reasonable estimate. Forbes Magazine which has ranked billionaires, actually invented the concept, since 1987 isn't an authority because one random KnownUnknown said so? So, who should the public believe, one random KnownUnknown or Forbes, the initiator of assessing wealthy people? |
