RomanceRe: Why Do Most Men Not Wear Their Wedding Rings by Zandra1(f): 9:43pm On Dec 03, 2007
@ poster, I guess my case is the opposite cheesy cheesy. My fiance wears the engagement ring always while I don't. Actually, he reminds me to wear mine when he sees that Ive taken it off.

@ Terminator, I also have a kind of a claustrophobic or uncomfortable feeling about it though I love the ring. I just had to explain that to my man.
FamilyRe: Twice Unfaithful And Lazy Husband: Should I End This Marriage? by Zandra1(f): 9:29pm On Dec 03, 2007
Hilli666, ure right about the inferiority complex issue. Like I said before, this lady seems to have no self esteem and thats why she allowed herself to be treated like a piece of rag by a man thats supposed to love and cherish her. If she had an iota of self esteem and feeling of self worth she would have known that no human being deserves to live with a beast in the name of a man. She would have dealt with the dude and left him penniless.

With all her education she condones all this bull and we think that education and financial security is going to aid in making some women reason well when involved in a domestic violence. People that say for better for worse, is that the only thing y'all hear when wedding vows are being said. Guess some people just hear what they want to hear. Am a Christian and Ive never seen where the Bible condones violence so its annoying that some people here would advice her to pray till all gets better. You pray when ure alive and well for God's sake. Let her pray for a better man than for the one she lives with in the name of marriage.

Ive discussed marriage with some Nigerian ladies (and guys) and Ive seen some Nigerian marriages and all I can say is 'pity'. Go figure.

RomanceRe: How Do U Tell A Guy His Breath Stinks by Zandra1(f): 7:25pm On Nov 30, 2007
Some replies here are soooo funny. I couldnt stop cracking up cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy grin.

@ Siena, ure right. A lot of people are saying that she should buy him a mouthwash but all the ACT, Listerine etc in the whole world can't make someones mouth smell better as long as his teeth is dirty or the tongue is white ie dirty. Tongues are supposed to be pink and no, please don't drink some red juice to make your tongue pink and think it makes your breath smell nice.

@ topic, tell him outright that his breath stinks (and that the smell makes u feel like passing out whenever he talks to u). Then show him how u brush your teeth and clean your tongue so that he would learn. After that u tell him to floss and he does u should tell him to rinse his mouth. Y'all should french kiss after the whole thing and pls make sure ur own mouth smells good too. After, the kissing go like "Aaah, I love when ur breath smells like that, didn't u enjoy it more now?". He would get the hint.

RomanceRe: Things I Can't Do For My Girl by Zandra1(f): 1:44am On Nov 30, 2007
@ david, He gave me an angel in human form but am also an angel in human form so we mesh well together grin grin. I feel bad when I see some girls bemoan their predicaments about the guys in their lives.
RomanceRe: Things I Can't Do For My Girl by Zandra1(f): 1:32am On Nov 30, 2007
My fiance has washed my panties with hands a couple of times before. He does my laundry with my panties included but with washing machine though. He

does a great deal for me. I know some guys on here will be shocked that a Nigerian guy does such things for a lady but he does those and many more.

Gotta cherish a guy like that forever kiss kiss kiss so once again I thank u Lord kiss kiss kiss.
RomanceRe: Things I Can't Do For My Girl by Zandra1(f): 10:36pm On Nov 29, 2007
After reading some of the replies here I bless God the more for the kind of man I have kiss kiss kiss. I never knew some men find it hard to buy undies for their women or to wash them etc. Well, to each his own. My man does more than what some of y'all guys say u wouldn't do for ur girls and we still respect and love each other a lot. He doesnt even let me do the laundry and we've been together for almost 2 yrs. Anywhoo, thats a story for another day.

People, if u really wanna enjoy a healthy, nurturing and sweet r/ship u have to let go of certain issues/ego.
RomanceRe: Discuss: Prostitution Comes In Different Forms, Shapes And Measures by Zandra1(f): 10:17pm On Nov 29, 2007
Yep, people tend to associate prostitution with females but there re transgender prostitutes, and male prostitutes too as was portrayed in the movie the Midnight Cowboy with Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman. Gotta love the movie though.
RomanceRe: I'am 27, She Is 16: I Did It And She Is Not A Virgin. by Zandra1(f): 9:35pm On Nov 29, 2007
Holly Molly! I don't get what a 27 year old dude is doing with a 16yr old girl. Is it that some dude lack the skill to go after their age mates or older and matured ladies? Its plain disgusting. Please try at least 18yr olds if u want them waaaaaay too young. My major and minor in college are health oriented and we were told that when people have sex at young age ie < 18 years, that they are more susceptible to certain diseases and harm to the body than matured people ie > 18 years old that have sex. So, y'all should be careful.
FamilyRe: Twice Unfaithful And Lazy Husband: Should I End This Marriage? by Zandra1(f): 9:04pm On Nov 28, 2007
Good job @ almondjoy, de-reloaded and oyb. Y'all make a lot of sense. I have a feeling this poster is lacking self esteem due to the kinds of treatment her hubby meted out on her. U deserve a much better man and pls ur kids need to grow up in a loving environment. Ure financially secure and like someone said pls stop being Mrs. Punching Bag and start being Mrs or Miss Joy/Happiness. Remember that life is too short and that happiness is priceless. It's shocking that at this day and age people still go through stuff like this esp. the educated and financially stable ones. Its high time u wisen up so ur kids wont be motherless or doormats when in r/ship with men. Its a vicious cycle indeed cause believe it or not ur kids are looking up to u.
RomanceRe: Can You Sleep Over In A Boyfriend's Place Or Live With Him? by Zandra1(f): 5:57am On Nov 28, 2007
Am in college and at times I sleep over at my fiance's house on weekends. We have soooo much fun together and we love and cherish our time together.
He wanted me to move in but I refused cause am kind of an independent person and also, I enjoy school life. Am gunna move in when we're married
though. To each his own but for me, I don't mind sleeping over but wouldn't move in before marriage partly cause I don't want to feel like he's smothering me ie invading my space.
RomanceRe: An Assasination Threat Call. by Zandra1(f): 7:51pm On Nov 27, 2007
Am surprised at this. Poster, am glad u didnt give in to their crazy ploy.

What cracked me up about the whole thing was the recharge card issue. Almost everywhere on this site, I read about some Nigerian girls and how they're cookoo over recharge cards but now even some guys have joined to the extent of demanding 10 at a time grin grin grin grin. I just thought that part was hilarious grin grin grin grin.
RomanceRe: Can't I Marry My Girlfriend? She's Fifteen by Zandra1(f): 7:39pm On Nov 27, 2007
Let her be at least 21. She's too young for pete's sake. U should encourage her to complete her education. At least by 21 she's prolly gunna be on the verge of getting her Bachelors degree. Ure way older than her so let her mature more to know what she's getting herself into. Besides, if she becomes pregnant at 17 and develops fistula are u still gunna 'love' her.
FashionRe: Underarm Hair On Girls - A Question Of Choice Or Just Plain Nasty? by Zandra1(f): 7:06pm On Nov 27, 2007
I find it gross when men have hairs on their armpit but to each his own.
RomanceRe: Help Me- Soon To Be Married by Zandra1(f): 7:21am On Nov 27, 2007
I dont understand y ure still confused poster. The guy is showing u the tip of the ice berg and ure talking of the 'whole town' that are invited to the wedding already. Just remember that those people aint gonna live with u or marry u. They'll eat and make merry then relax at there different homes while u live with 'Dele'. It may be hard to leave him since y'all have been together for 2 years but dont do what u will regret in future because some people are already invited. Better to have a broken engagement and disappointed friends and family than being beaten black and blue or even killed (but God forbid) in the name of marriage. Better be single and happy than be married to a prospective boxer sorry 'Dele' cause he's just a ticking time bomb waiting to blow off. Happiness has no price tag. Any man that calls a woman (vice versa) names esp. ones they claim they love is just messed up. Love doesnt in anyway condone name calling, bitterness, insecurity, hard heartedness etc. Love and marriage should be enjoyed not endured. Am a Christian too and I'd advice u pray that God gives u a man that u will treat like a King and he would cherish and treat u like a queen instead of praying to be with 'Dele'. Am sorry but I think 'Dele' is more like 'bad news'. Ure warned cool cool cool cool grin grin grin.
RomanceRe: Romance With My Subordinate? (I'm Married) by Zandra1(f): 11:03pm On Nov 21, 2007
Before a cheater cheats, he/she should ask him or herself what they would feel like if they partner did the same to them.
CelebritiesRe: Frank Edoho Likes To Box His Wife? by Zandra1(f): 10:55pm On Nov 21, 2007
@ topic, I have no idea who the two people involved are but if this story is true then its plain disgusting. The interviewer that made a comment about peace being in the woman's home if she didnt hang out with her single friends needs a resounding slap. Thats a stupid question. Whether this story is true or not stuff like this happens. So many marriages esp. lots of Nigerian marriages Ive seen here in the U.S are just shows. They pretend like all is well in public when they aint. Some of them beat the crap out of each other and some are blatantly obvious at times.

If this is true then the lady should tell her brothers so that they would teach the guy a lesson he would never forget in a hurry. Women like this should know that they aint married to a man but an animal. Yes they're married to beasts. No one should live with a beast cause they're meant to live in forests after being castrated and branded with hot irons esp. if the beast is in human form ie an abuser. Life is too short that its appalling what some people go thru in the name of having a Mr. or Mrs. included in their name. No matter what a woman/man does they shouldn't lay a hand on each other in the name of beating or whatever.

If this story is true, it proves that even celebrities can be very pathetic. It shows that in this instance all that glitters (in public) is not gold (in private).
CelebritiesRe: I Love Newyork~~part 2!!!! by Zandra1(f): 10:35pm On Nov 21, 2007
Hahahahahaha, yes, they sure look like they're suffocating her at times but they sure gave her more confidence. Dont u see the way she tries to cat-walk since she got them. I don't think she can ever drown as long as she has those babies on her grin grin grin.
CultureRe: Gap Tooth by Zandra1(f): 7:47am On Nov 21, 2007
@ almondjoy, hahahahahahaha.

Ive met lots of people that like it like I stated already. I just specified on the Yoruba male friends I have because from what they say it has a cultural significance or stuff like that to them grin grin grin.

CultureRe: Gap Tooth by Zandra1(f): 5:14am On Nov 21, 2007
@ almondjoy, ure too funny grin grin grin. Ure cracking me up and yes, I have gap tooth cheesy grin grin grin. Mine is gorgeous and many people Ive met just love it. They always tell me I have a beautiful and lovely smile. I got it from my mom and she also has a beautiful smile. Ive met some Yoruba guys that adore it. They tell me to always smile so they could see my lovely smile and my gap tooth. They said that in Yoruba culture its a beautiful thing when a woman has it. Like some people commented already its gorgeous on some people like moi grin grin grin grin and not so good on some esp. when its too wide and looks like a tooth fell off from there. Its not their fault though but they can make it smaller with braces.
