orunto27:And what is your point? |
The Army spokesman said that 5 security personnel were killed and some people were burnt. How come IPOB/MASSOB committed these acts and yet nobody has ever heard of it? The said that IPOB threw two Policemen into the River Niger, who are these two Policemen? What are their names? Who are their widows or bereaved family? Where are pictures of their dead bodies or funeral? IPOB is backing up their claims of extrer-judicial killings with pictures, videos, oral and written statements of witnesses. But the Nigerian Army is backing up their claims with mere words. Im happy that this report by Amnesty International will seriously damage the standing of the Buhari regime and Nigeria in the eyes of the international community. |
padi94:Nigeria is not an imaginary thing and has never worked, which is even worse. |
Kamanuozuzu:Chukwu Okike nuru Onu anyi! |
ChimaAdeoye:And a disgrace of a leader. Buhari was on Al Jazeera and was confronted with the video of the Army shooting unarmed people, he didnt want to see the video footage. Had Buhari been a civilised leader, leading a civilised country, he would have been jumping out of his chair to see the video. He would have demanded an immidiate investigation to know why the Army had to enter a secondary School and open fire on people praying. Buhari didnt even bother to ask if any student was killed or injured. All Buhari could say was that Biafra would not be tolerated. It is shocking that a democratically elected leader could be this callous. I salute Amnesty International for standing by the truth abd exposing the murderous regime of Buhari for the fraud it is |
bantudra:But if it was not for the same white people, you would not be a Nigerian today. You trusted them enough to accept the 'Nigeria' they created as your country |
MyGeneration:The way is left to the indigenous people of the land, the original owners of the land before Lord Lugard came to create Nigeria. It should be the people who decide their own fate. The Government is never greater than the people. |
PDJT:How can it stop in a country like Nigeria where majority think unity is by force? |
The video if the Aba high School shooting says it all. The Police and Army just came to the School where people were praying and singing and started shooting at unarmed people. When Buhari was confronted with the video on Al Jazeera, he refused ti watch it. What the Nigerian Army did in Aba High School and in Onitsha on the 30th of May was just plain and simple murder. The video is there for all to see |
blackpanda:When Scotland wanted to leave Britain, the British Government did not shout "one Britain" and send the security forces after the Scots. Have you seen IPOB with arms? If you say that those that support Biafra are just 1%, then why is the issue of Biafra giving you guys headache? Why would Eastern representatives be pushing for a referendum when they are all in Abuja for their pockets? Even if the pushed for a referendum, Yorubas and the Northerners will vote it out in other to keep the British contraption called Nigeria together for their selfish interests. It is really funny that in this 21st century, people are fighting to be with other people who don't want them. Nigeria should ask the Igbos and the minorities that support Igbos if the still want to be part of the disasterous house of Lugard called Nigeria, and they don't want, they should be allowed to leave. |
NePro:We have already seen what he is working on. We have had a year to see it: Nothernisation of Government Economic destruction of Nigeria Forstering militancy and calls for secession by being a divisive president (which I thank him for) Galloping inflation Naira downfall I have to say, the man in really here to bring "change" |
mekuzi09:We all see things from a tribal perspective. The only people or person who sees things from "Nigerian" point of view is someone who Boko Haram or Herdsmen haven't yet killed their loved ones.Trust me bro, anyone who told you there is something called 'one Nigeria' didn't tell you the truth |
Look at Arewa commenting on Igbo political affairs. If it was Ohaneze that commented on a similar political situation in Sokoto, they would have come out to warn Ohaneze to stay clear of the North. The hypocrite is urging everyone to follow rulings of the court of law but is urging Buhari to be a dictator and arrest prople. The Courts judged Ogah to be the lawfully elected Governor, so what is the problem? Ikpeazu can explore all legal avenues open to him. How can Arewa be interested in the internal political dynamics of an Igbo territory? What is their business there? Charlatants. |
Nice one! Ever representing the right of our people to be free of the British fabrication called Nigeria! |
jesussaves22:There can be no unity. The Yourbas are better off uniting with their Nothern masters |
A long read but well worth it. A lot of people like me have been wondering on what the position of the law is on this situation in Abia which is begining to look like a circus |
What about those of us in the SE/SS that did not vote for this demonic change? We just "grin and bare it" along with the APC zombies? Not gonna work! |
Is it because Nigeria isn't a civilised country? In a civilised Country like Britain, can David Cameron embarrass Britain with the issue of his WASC? He would have resigned long time ago. Can Angela Merkel of Germany be playing hide and seek with the German people with the issue of her WASC (or whatever the German equivalent is) with the German people? The German parliament, the Budestag, would have thrown her out of office long time ago. But in Nigeria, our standards are still very low........... |
mrvitalis:You are a Nigerian because Lord Lugard gave you this name. If Lugard had decided to call the area now known as Nigeria "bastardia", you probably would have been proud to call your self a 'bastard' by now. It is a white that can come to your land to name you, you have no right to name your self. Slave. |
bloodyBLOGGER:Instead of calling on the authorities for that, call on the authorities to call a referendum so that IPOB and its affiliates can leave your land and go back home |
mrvitalis: Biafra leadership. The reason why Nigeria, not just the Igbo nation, has failed is bad leadership. Nigeria breeds bad leadership because leaders are accountable to no one hence can do anything. The reason why there won't be bad leadership in Biafra is because there won't be any Abuja, Nigerian police or the obnoxious Nigerian constitution to protect anyone. Also, the so called leaders will be much closer to home and under better scrutiny. Igbo investment outside Biafra .Yes we Igbos have a lot of investments in Nigeria, however, there are many international laws of which Nigeria is a signatory to that protects those investments. Nowhere in the world does a democratic country sieze the investment of another person based on non citizenship. In the event of Biafra coming and the Nigerian Government decides that all Biafrans should go home then so be it. One of the reasons I support Biafra is to encourage our people to repartrate their investments back home and develop their land. So this is a good thing. I also want to add that any Igbo man who values his investments in Nigeria more than he cares about the freedom of his people is a fool. A person without sovereigty is a nobody. Less market for igbos .Myopic thinking. The world is 7 Billion people spread over 200 countries. The Nigerian market is a drop in the ocean compared to what is out there. As long as Igbos are innovative and hard working, we can survive well without Nigeria. There are many countries that an independent Biafran nation can sign trade deals without the incumbrance of Nigeria. importation and exportation .Akwa Ibom Cross River (Akwa-Cross) or should I say the Efik/Ibibio nation are the closest people to the Igbos. I have no doubt that they would leave with us. But if they don't and the Igbos/Igboids of Rivers such as Ikwerre decide the same, we still have access to the sea via Obuaku where a Seaport can be built. I have even heard that Obuaku is closer to the Athlantic Ocean that Porthacourt. Electricity .PHCN is a business organisation not a political one. They will be happy to keep supplying power to Biafra as long as we keep paying until we have our own national grid. Anyway, it's not like the power situation in Nigeria is anything to write home about. My parents lived through the civil war for 3 years with no light. The heavens did not fall. If that is the time for us to build a stable power supply system then so be it. It is a small price to pay for freedom. Revenue.Although I'm not exactly sure what Biafra will look like because I don't know how many of the Southern minorities will vote in a referendum to join. However, if Biafra is just the 5 Igbo States, I can say that all 5 states have Oil in commercial quantity and Ananmbra, Abia and Imo are already Oil producing. One of the largest deposits of Coal in the world is Enugu, huge deposits of solid minerals such as lime stone in Ebonyi and the huge agricultural potential of Abakiliki (Abakilki was the largest food producer in the old eastern Region). Even Anambra is sitting on one of the largest Gas deposit in the country. The human and natural potential of Biafra is very promising. Any body who is rational and lebral will understand that Biafra as it is today is not an option.. . We need to remain in Nigeria as we have more to gain from this countryA thief like T Orji will get away with it in Nigeria, he can't in Biafra because it is his people he will be stealing from, it is an Igbo police he will be dealing with and an Igbo EFCC. Nigeria is a disaster of a country. It has never and will never work. Everybody is only interested in their own sectional interests as far as Nigeria is concerned, no one cares about national interests. Only a fool will keep trying something that has failing for many decades with thinking of trying something else. It is time for us to believe in our selves and take back our sovereignty that was stolen by the British criminal called Lugard when he created the illegal entity called Nigeria. We have all it takes to be great, we don't need the Yoruba or Hausa man. It will be hard and tough in the beginning but Igbos are a resourceful people and I know in my heart that Biafra will be a super power within 30 years of its creation. |
AntiIPOOP:Funny that the people you are calling terrorists are actually fighting to get away from you but you said no. It must mean you love terrorists. |
DSS is a state sponsored terrorist outfit |
The Nigerian Army, all they are good at is shooting unarmed people. |
Olabestonic001:The difference with what you wrote above is that Europe was working for Britain. Britain is the 4th richest nation in the world and was doing good business with the EU single market before they voted to leave. But in the Nigerian context, Nigeria does not work as a nation. We are getting poorer, we don't love each other and there is too much suffering. Igbos have lost so much by being in Nigeria, we lost millions in the civil war because we found our selves in Nigeria. As an Igbo man, why should the Yoruba or Hausa man hate me for leaving Nigeria? We don't like each other and have no historical connection to one another. So what's the point? Nigerias 110 million single market means nothing in a global market of 7 Billion. The Igbos have no place in Nigeria and they deserve a referendum so that they can exit Nigeria and go and govern themselves |
HopeAtHand:As you said, Oyigbo and Etche may ditch their Igbo brothers. It is their right to ditch anyone. But what will they ditching their Igbo brothers for? Is it for 'one Nigeria' and continued exploitation by the Yorubas and Northerners? Is it for a Niger-Delta Republic that no one is agitating for? If Ikwere wants to be an independent nation, why are they not agitating for a referendum? All these elements should start agitating for their rights rather than looking for the Igbos to fight |
Emancipation:I completely understand what you mean. What you have to understand is that the Nigerian propaganda machine had many years since the end of the war to brainwash many of the minorities in Southern Nigeria that their Igbos neigbours were the real enemies. They were told that Igbos want to dominate them and steal their lands. But things are changing. It was an opener for the Niger Delta when Igbos gave their own son almost 100% support in the last presidential elections. They have started to realise that the Igbos are their only real friends in Nigeria. Most of the negative comments online towards Igbos are just Yorubas masquerading as indigenes of the Niger Delta. Like I said, a referendum will clear everything up. |
In politics, there are no permanent friends or enemies. She may have been friends with Ikpeazu, but she is entitled to switch her allegiance. |
Emancipation:All of this you wrote wasn't necessary. Biafra has never been about just the Igbos only. If we remember, the two most senior men in Government after Ojukwu in the first Biafran Republic were not Igbos. Biafra is about Igbos and those who are comfortable with Igbos. The minorities that are currently destroying Oil installations in the Niger Delta are not doing it because they love Nigeria. At the end of the day, what is required is a referendum in the SS/SE and the Igbos of the lower Benue. Everyone one will then have the opportunity to opt in or out. |
