after1:So you have not noticed that Yorubas are the greatest defenders of "one Nigeria" when Biafra is mentioned? Have you ever seen any Igbo man defending one Nigeria if Oduduwa Republic is mentioned? |
after1:At least it is not us that is fighting to be in 'one Nigeria' with the Northerners like you guys are. |
TrueSenator:I don't know what you mean by referendum for Igbos only, anyone has the right to a referendum just as much as Igbos. As for Nigeria Delta, what the minorities in that area do are their business, however, the Igbos there must be returned to their brothers, I.E those that identify as Igbos. |
TrueSenator:I beg to differ. I think that the Igbo man's problem is because he is in Nigeria. Contrary to the insinuations bandied about on the Internet like "what have you Governors being doing?", "what have your leaders being doing?". People tend to forget that Igbo leaders and elected officials can afford to do nothing because we are all in Nigeria where the high and mighty are answerable to nobody. The Igbo man has not being given the chance to manage himself, instead, we have been directed and managed by one visionless Goverment or the other since 1960. How can the Igbo man grow when he has to be fighting with Hausas and Yorubas about what is due or not due to him in Nigeria? To make matters worse, we being run by a constitution that is not reflective of the Igbo way of doing things. The unitary system of Government Nigeria has been running since 1966 is very bad for Igbos who have been an egalitarian people. To cap it all off, Nigeria has contributed immensely to the division of Igbos by state creation. Nigeria is stifling the Igbos, Nigeria has been very bad for Igbos because it robbed them of their sovereignty. Igbos and Igbo land, a tribe of over 40 million people being governed in strange land called Abuja? Why? I conclude that unless Igbos take back their sovereignty and return to being Governing as they were before Lord Lugard came with his message of Nigeria, we are headed no where because it is plain for anyone that Nigeria does not work as a nation. The Igbo nation have paid a huge price because Lugard included them in Nigeria, we lost millions in the civil war. Is the Igbo man better off in Nigeria? Not at all. The most important thing for Igbos and Nigerians to learn from Brexit is that if any sovereing people want leave any group, be it Igbos leaving Nigeria or otherwise, conduct a referendum instead of going to war to kill each other. |
Not bad at at all. I'm just curious what the thrust of their message is? We all know what Radio Biafra wants, what does Radio Niger Delta want? |
Rayhutar:I couldn't have said it any better. The fear of the North using them as a foot-mat if Igbos leave is ever present and very strong. |
Ikpeazu is like a Cat with 9 lives. This is the second time a court has ordered him removed and he still survived.......... But for how long? |
I'm starting to think that there is a new way of getting into Govt House without campaiging. Just choose a winning party, participate in the primaries, then go back and investigate if anyone did something contrary to the electoral act. Voila! You are Govt House! |
I see former Minister of Health, Prof ABC Nwosu on the phone. Many might know it but Ojo Maduekwe and ABC Nwosu both graduated from the Biafran infantry School Enugu in 1967 and both went on to fight together as Biafran officers in the Nigerian civil war. As faith would have it, both would later aspire to become Governors of their respective states under PDP (Anambra and Abia) and later become Ministers. |
News reaching me is that Aisha's plane had to return to Nigeria because she forgot her reading glasses. |
I'm hoping that this woman will make history as the first female president of America. I think that Donald Trump is a disaster waiting to happen. |
So because "Rumu" is "umu" and "Nwo" is "Nwa" in Ikwere language in relation to Igbo is what makes you people distinct? That small difference in dialect? These Ikwere people are crazy it seems. Even their Ijaw and Ogoni neigbours consider them pure unadulterated Igbos but are they are concerned about what Igbos think? You speak a dialect of Igbo, you have an Igbo surname but you are not Igbo? Some of these Ikwere are just attention seekers all because of Porthacourt. The OP is saying that Federal soldiers liberated them during the war but he did not add that before the war, the were getting 67% of the proceeds of their resources. After the you were ' liberated' they got zero, they are still begging for 13% in Nigeria. Nice liberation indeed. Slaves, to this day, some of them don't know it was all about their Oil. Same Oil they no longer control. |
nwadiuko1:I can clearly see the INEC logo on the certificate, unless that was photoshopped. |
kcnwaigbo:Ikpeazu said he will appeal but up until now, no one knows if he actually lodged any appeal. INEC is simply following court directive. I'm sure that INEC would not be issuing a certificate of return to Ogah if they had recieved an order of stay of execution from a higher court. But like someone said earlier, issue of certificate of return does not necessarily mean assumption of office, it just means that INEC has recognised someone as duely elected. I'm no Lawyer but it is left for Otti to explore all legal options but if the case of Amaechi and Omehia is something to go by, then he hasn't got a chance. I support Otti all the way but I'm not sure the law is on his side in this one. |
It doesn't really matter. If not anything, the case exposed Buhari as someone who has no WASC. It doesn't take 12 SAN's to produce a common WASC. The Lawyer has done a good job with this case. |
Interesting! This means that all that remains is for the Chief Justice of Abia state to swear him in as Governor. The only good thing here is that 'Ochendo' and his stooge 'Ikpeazu' are no longer relevant to Abia state politics. But that mandate still belongs to Alex Otti |
Some people on this thread are myopic. They think that the issue of Buhari's certificate is all about if he is qualified to be president. It is much more than that. It is all about his intergrity because if hasn't got a certificate, his entire Military career is and was a fraud. |
Babacele:What baffles you? So you never heard of MASSOB or IPOB long before GEJ? The call for freedom has always been there, you just heard it at your own appointed time. As for what we should for our own exit, you used Brexit as an example? I guess they didn't tell you that the same Britain came together in the treaty of 1707 where they signed to unite the kingdoms of Scotland, Wales and England under one crown. The same Britain signed to be part of the EU in 1973. Now when and where did I sign to do 'one Nigeria' with you? Oh yeah! Lord Lugard came to west Africa to baptise all of us Nigerians in 1914! Now I have to go and beg a bunch strangers for the same freedom that was stolen from me! Sweet! |
aresa:Well if you don't care if your own president got to where he is in life by being fraudulent then don't wake up tomorrow praying to God for a 'better Nigeria' because certainly you don't deserve it. |
Babacele:Unfortunately, your country Nigeria is not as civilised as Britain or the European Union. But slowly they are starting to learn that you don't get 'one Nigeria' through the barrel of the gun. We are getting there, slowly but surely. |
aresa:You are only interested in constitional requirements? Typical Nigerian who is ready to defend fraud when it is in his best interest. If your president has no WASC then he should never have become a Military officer which in turn makes his Military career a fraud. All positions and qualifications he got as a result of being an officer are also fraudulent. |
If there is a referendum on Nigerian unity, I would definitely vote out because I think the country is a faliure |
sumborri:This article of yours is misleading. The reason why Brexit won was for two reasons, sovereignty and immigration. But the main reason for leaving had more to do with immigration than sovereignty. In the case of Nigeria, the secessionists care much less about immigration than they care about sovereignty. Even with the Brexit vote, Britain can still be a part of the EEA/EEC just like Swizerland and Norway and still enjoy the benefits of the EU single market if they allow freedom of movement. But in the context of Nigeria, the secessionists see no economic benefit of being part of Nigeria, they believe that that Nigeria has stolen their sovereigntt, and, they are quite willing allow freedom of movement to an extent. To surmise, the main thing that BREXIT teaches us is that it is the right of anyone to leave any political arrangement but that the Economy and sovereignty must take precedence over immigration |
Elebiju:You value the unity of Nigeria? Why? Because LUGARD told you that the Hausa and Igbo man are your brothers? Don't make me laugh. |
greatiyk4u:But the same Army came out to say that there was no WASC in Buhari's Army file |
Movic1:You guys are not fooling anyone. Every Nigerian knows that Yorubas are only good at talking. A Dog that barks but never bites. That's why they hold the record as the only people who have never taken up arms against anyone. |
How on earth will you block Radio Biafra when I can listen to it every day via the radio app? Are you going to block the Internet as well? Jokers |
Wasn't it the same Buhari who commended David Cameron for resigning over his faliure to secure an EU vote? And we are talking about something much worse. That question should not even be asked because if Buhari has no WASC, it means that he should never have enrolled in the Nigerian Army, making his entire Military career a fraud. A man who built his life on an act of fraud should not be president of any country let alone Nigeria |
What Dozie Ikedife won't say is that it was Nigeria that came to the South East to kill millions in the name of a redundant term known as "one Nigeria". How in this modern era will someone be fighting to be "one" with another person? |
Akissani:This is nonsense. Why do you Nigerians think that when a person is charged to court, it means they are guilty? I'm no fan of Ike EKweremadu but he remains innocent until the court pronounces him guilty. He can wear what he likes. |
Pesuzok:which is why you let them decide for themselves instead of electing your self as their spokesman |

' Yoruba's patience should not be mistaken for weakness. Our stage of social development is considered to be more advanced than any other group in Nigeria, that is why we avoid trouble, wisdom is the koko not muscle -flexing. Forget that we are peaceful, accommodating, hospitable, If we start ours,Hmmm Nigeria will shake
