depezee:Of course. How do you think Lord Lugard created Nigeria? How do you think Nigerian Government has managed to keep Nigeria from breaking up? It has all been about brute force rather than mutual consession as a true nation should be |
A true slave accepts the slavery they were born into. Free men strive to overturn the slavery system. Love him or hate him, Kanu is nobody's slave. |
Nigeria was destroyed a long time ago when a certain chap from the North called Yakubu Gowon broke the Aburi agreement so that him and his fellow Northerners could control Nigeria. The Norths inordinate ambition to control Nigeria is what destroyed the country, it is also the reason why Nigeria is unworkable |
This is no news! A slovenian woman is about to become first lady of America. |
Of what use is the Presidency of Nigeria to us Igbos when it has not helped those who have held it in the past? Nigeria is running on a broken system, no matter who holds the presidency, nothing will change. |
galeiiTNA:It is not them who need 2/3, it is you who is looking for resource control that needs 2/3. |
darknetcom:And are they gone? |
galeiiTNA:Dreamer To get resource control, you have to change the contitution, to change the contitution you need 2 thirds majority vote in the National Assembly. Even if the entire south and the North central voted at the National Assembly for resource control, they still will not be able to get 2 thirds majority vote needes to carry it through |
Fremancipation:There is no one called 'Niger Deltan'. Nigeria is made up of tribes, not ficticious geopolitical zones. Nigeria is not going to give anyone resource control. Resource control does not favour the North and they are willing to fight another war to make sure resource control never returns. They also have the numerical advantage in the National Assembly to make sure that any law on resource control doesnt see the light of day. So to answer your question, as long as Northern Nigeria is part of Nigeria, resource control can never happen. |
Very nice cake, this has given me an idea about how to celebrate my own Birthday |
I dont want to believe this story |
MARKone:Akuko n'egwu If he runs in 2019, thats when you will see other regions remember that he is an "Igbo Man". Men of intergrity dont become presidents of Nigeria. Anyway, I believe that Igbos should concentrate on other things that are more important than the presidency of Nigeria. |
Why did he choose to call his villa "Ozu Ozubulu"? |
Chugavey:Thousands of people came out on the streets to protest his arrest with no monetary inducement. I cant think of anyone East of the Nigeria who can call people to come out and they will heed the call |
When a man believes in his right to self determination |
So anybody who wears a red cap is now Igbo? |
ebuka10box:So you have come to divide brothers with this stupid topic? Shame on you! |
darkerthandark:And how is it your business as well? How can you say Igbos are grabbing Niger Delta when you are grabing other ethnic groups in your non existent Niger Delta |
Who is a Nigerian? A native West African Lugard named after the River Niger? Give me a break! |
darkerthandark:My business? There is no business here. Those who talk about Niger Delta as a people are doing the same thing the accuse Igbos and Nigeria of doing, I believe it is called "attach by force". How can a Bini on the west of the River Niger be saying he is one with the Oron man on the East of the Niger? What does the Bini man know about the Oron man? |
calabardick:The problem you people who call your selves "Niger Deltan" have is that you dont know Niger Delta is just a geo-polical zone, it is not a people. There are over 40 tribes in the Niger Delta but there is not one single organisation that represents them or brings them together. How is it that there are over 40 tribes scattared all over the south of Nigeria and no one can can point to even one single thing that brings them together? |
Okoroawusa has never meant well for Ndigbo. All he cares about is his 2023 presidential ambition. |
Loisemm:There are many Nigerians, men and women , who are married to people from other countries, the sky has not fallen down. Even my younger sister is married to a man who is not even an African, the sky has not fallen down |
fablani:Nigeria has always been a symbol of oppression from the day Lugard created it to this day |
lordmans:You fail to see the point. IPOB/MASSOB claimed that the armed forces of Nigeria shot and killed them while they were on peaceful protest. They backed their claim up with videos, pictures and written statements from witnesses. They sent the evidence to Amnesty International who investigated and came out with a report that they were right. The Army came out with their own allegation that IPOB was violent, where is their proof? Time has past when mere press statements are considered Gospel truth. If IPOB has killed anyone, let the Army state the persons name, the circumstance of their death and back it up with pictures. If IPOB tried to disarm anyone, let the security agents provide the report of their investigation to the press and Amnesty International. You dont shoot people for blocking the road or hauling stones, that is not sufficient reason to kill a person. If a civilian did that, they would be charged with manslaughter. IPOB has proven it case to a well respected body such AI, let those they accused prove theres, after all it is them doing the shooting. Go and watch the video on youtube of Biafran protesters who were praying in a Secondary School field and the Army came in there and started shooting them with no provocation then come back and tell me how you justify that. |
The shameless Nigerian Army is trying to deny something that is on Youtube video for the world to see. |
What was shocking about the video was what happend at the high School in Aba. The Soldiers could clearly see that the Biafran protesters were only praying and singing, hardly a threat to anybody. The Soldiers stormed into the place and immidiately dropped down to one knee and took firing positions. They then opened fire with no provocation, killing several people. The video then follows those who managed to escape with bullet wounds as they died in hospitals all over Aba. It is shocking beyond words that a country like Nigeria that claims to be the giant of Africa has no notion of the sanctity of human life. It is shameful that the armed forces can kill people simply because they disagree with what they are doing. Utterly shameful. I laugh at Nigerians who think that Nigeria will one day become a great progressive nation with this level of barbarity. What happend in the video was murder. |
The Military took over for 30 years and could not reform anything. The man has lost his mind |
orunto27:You think this is just about Biafra? This is about the intergrity of your armed forces. Open your eyes. It could be your brother, sister or loved one out on streets protesting about any issue from rigged elections, to increase in School fees to increase in fuel prices to economic downturn. If Soldiers can shoot peaceful Biafran protesters, they can shoot your loved ones protesting for any other reason too. |
Indiaindia:But it was not Nnamdi Kanu that opened fire on peaceful protesters did he? Your military is commiting cold blooded murder and you are calling Nnamdi Kanu. |
