I am sick and tired of the black man and his mindset... Is it a curse to be black.. Some set of people are tired of a country and want to go there way and instead of trying to dialogue or give them a referendum we keep having people saying war, war, war... Is it by force to be together, why hold a country using WAR as a threat or a reminder why certain people should remain in the country.

Look at the white man with white mindset they are giving referendums and trying to talk things over and no one is threatening the other with war and dead.

Why does the black man derive joy in killing his brothers and sisters? why does the black man like violence and force? why does the black man bask in tyranny and oppression?

The painters didn't make a mistake painting the devil black.. Each time I sit in my church listening to choir sing and my eyes comes across the painting of the white Arch Angel Micheal stomping the black Devil, I see beyond the painting I see that black devil as the mind and attitude of the black man especially our leaders, I see the reward of tyrants and oppressors and I see good and justice prevailing against evil.

Assist with the development and administration of programs, reports, and training and employee seminars.
Assist in conducting research in the planning, development and organization of employee informational seminars. Presents portions of safety seminars.
Assist in implementing HSE Management systems and programs and assist in advising staff on relevant HSE information.
Assist in conducting Safety Awareness Programs and in coordinating first-aid training.
Assist in conducting daily safety inspections.
Assist in conducting incident investigation and root cause analysis.
Assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions for non-conformities.
Assist in conducting Emergency Response Training Programs and in conducting safety drills.
Assist OHS team members in the preparation of weekly, monthly and other required safety reports
Perform additional functions incidental to environment and safety activities.
Prepare reports of findings from investigation of accidents, inspection of facilities, or testing of environment.
Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Examine plans and specifications for new projects to determine if all safety requirements have been included.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Educational Qualifications:
A university degree is required with a major in science, technology or engineering preferred.
HSE Certification from OSHA, NEBOSH or NISP/ISPON - Mandatory
Experience Required:
0-2 years
Skills/Qualifications Required:
Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people is essential.
Good leadership skills are beneficial.
Familiarity with statistical methods and spreadsheet applications is required.
Computer literate and able to use MS Office applications effectively.
Fluent in written and verbal English is essential.
Physical Demands:
Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential.
Sitting for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.
No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and FAX machines.
Work Environment:
The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting. Activities include extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer monitor.

People keep carrying rumours up and down... The appointment letter was supposed to have been issued since May according to the interview time table but as a result of the slow staffs, commissioners and stake holders who were still compiling names things were delayed.. The budget has nothing to do with this recruitment.. As it is now appointment letters are ready and lined up, it's just to sign on them that is left...I wouldn't want to say much.

I have nothing to gain from this employment but I pray things go well for people whose name appeared and attended the interview.

The prayer now is that things should hasten up and make sure your STRONG leg submitted your name for appointment letter. Though very few people who don't have connections will get this job and when you do, go and thank God because for your sake he put to shame the power of man.

Appointment letters are down already names are on them.. it's now to get them signed...But trust Nigeria to sign letters protocols must surely come to play.

The past commissioner will have to finish the recruitment process, pray you get your APL cause a lot happened during the recruitment process and attending interview doesn't mean your going to get APL...APL should start flowing from next week to end of this month if things go according to recruitment timetable . @OmaniPadmeHum, I commend you on the wonderful work your doing when it comes to educating and informing participants of the group.

That deterministic and probablistic methods are known methods of managing risk and even helps in the elimination of hazards and risks reduction during the design phase. It makes the elimination stage in our hierarchy of controls possible and feasible. I was even surprised to see that deterministic approach was used for earth quakes, landslides and even flooding

There are different branches of safety, you have got engineering, psychology, business, disaster safety and many others.. it's left for one to choose an area and then develop yourself.

When it comes to gains in HSE people always look at oil and gas however there are some other industrial sectors that pay just like oil and gas and even more when it comes to safety.

The question shouldn't be how much can I make from safety although there is not wrong in considering the financial gains but you will go far and make more gains by asking how can I make life and this world a better place using Health, Safety and Environment.
