PoliticsRe: Bayelsa State Governor Involved In N100 Billion Fraud. by ziga: 4:43pm On Mar 28, 2010
The people who own the land also own the resources, but the Federal government has a stake in it because the land still lies within the boundary of the federation, so it is everybody's business what the leaders of the Niger delta do with the resources.

And that is where the problem of Nigeria lies, we are too selfish for ourselves!!!

BTW journalism in Nigeria stinks, so don't judge the man et until he is found guilty.

@ziga, thanks for that enlightenment but what can i use for my weak bone. Anytime i sleep and wake up, i alway feel tired even now
Feeling tired after waking from sleep might indicate that you either do not get enough hours of sleep every night or you do not get good quality sleep.

Most adults need at least 6 - 8 hours of sleep per night, and note that you get better quality sleep if you sleep earlier. So, go to bed the first instant you start to feel sleepy. Keep loud sounds and bright light away from your bedroom. (avoid the tv or computers around bedtime)

You can google sleep hygiene and am sure you will find lots of information there.

Another issue you should consider is obstructive sleep apnea. This is obstruction of the airways during sleep and snoring. This will result in repeated disruptions in your normal sleep. most people who have this may be unaware of it and the only symptom they have is waking up feeling tired.

Are you overweight?
Do you snore loudly?
Do you drink alcohol at night?
Does your wife/girlfriend/family tell you you sound like you are choking when you sleep?

A sleep study would be an ideal investigation for you to take, but unfortunately, i don't think it is done in Nigeria.

So, what you can do is to keep a sleep diary for 1 week. Record the time you go to bed, times you wake up during the night and time you get up in the morning. This will tell you if you are actually getting enough rest during the night.

Sounds like a brilliant idea. If other states in the other regions in Nigeria will do the same, then development will rapidly spread across Nigeria, and pressure will be taken off the pressured states.

In life, when you attempt to do something that is new and seems unachievable, lots of people will discourage you and say it can never be done.

But if you really want to do it, and you plan properly, you will do it and the same people who discouraged you will congratulate you.

I'm sure we've all experienced this.

So what we should be clamoring for should be proper planning, siting of the nuke plant, implementation, maintenance, and constant reevaluation rather than trying to put down something that will benefit all.

If the implementation is not done properly or evaluations show that the standards are falling then i support that it should be shut down, but otherwise, carry dey go.

Hi Dr.

We have been married for 2 years now and we have been trying all medical solutions without making headway. My wife ovulation cycle had always been 27/28 days until January when she didnt see her menstruation until after 32 days. We even thought she was pregnant but lost it. When we got to the Dr. all he asked was whether she stressed herself to which we answer -ve. now by yesterday after 33 days again, she saw her period and we are deeply worry about this.
Can ovulation be a 32/33 days cycle?
Can there be change in the no of days/cycle & what is the health implication/cause of it?
What do we suggest we do?

Will appreciate your response as well as that of those who had experienced this situation and come out of it.
I am guessing you have been visiting a fertility clinic and the cause of the infertility has been investigated. The only way to treat a problem is by knowing what the problem is.

About the menstrual cycle, a normal cycle lasts between 21 to 35 days. However, the sudden change in length that she noticed for the last 2 months may be due to hormonal changes. Has she been using any hormonal drugs lately?

You should consider a gynecological consultation.

Helo, my problem is that i have been having this yellow colour urine for the past 9 years. I have been to the hospital times without number with no improvement. Now my current problem is that if i sleep for little time and wake up, i wil be very weak and wil nt be able to raise my hands and my legs. If i relax for a while then i will be able to stand but feel all over my body. Pls what is the matter with me
About your urine problem, 9 years is a long time and that might suggest that there is nothing to worry about.

Normal urine color varies from clear to yellow depending on how much water you drink. However, there may be diseases that can increase the yellow color of your urine e.g gall bladder/ liver disease, infections (not likely for 9 yrs)

The key to knowing the exact cause will be in doing a urine analysis. the lab test involves collecting a urine sample and analyzing the contents. Abnormal components will be detected and will give a clue to the disease that may be responsible.

You should take note that the body removes waste materials through the urine, so if you have been taking any drugs e.g multivitamins, it might change the color of your urine.

Try and get a urinalysis done if you have not done that already and drink a lot of water.

Good day,
i have some questions bothering me,
1. how can i know wether my boyfriend precum?
2. does precum makes one gets pregnant?
3. and after how many days of menstruation can one gets pregnant when one has unprotected intimacy but no come?
thanks,
Question 1 = You can't because it gets mixed up with other body secretions, but that does not mean its not there.
Question 2 = Yes. Precum can contain millions of spermatozoa and of course, you know only 1 is required to do the job.
Question 3 = It depends on your cycle. Different women, have variations in their cycle length which will determine when ovulation occurs. Even without cum, there is precum which can result in pregnancy.

i suggest you do a google search on natural birth control methods.

Doctors in the house, pls hw significant is an immunologist in the labour market, really want 2 no my fate after the program.

your comments will be really appreciated.

Thanks
Your training in immunology will be very relevant in teaching/research.

As you may already know, research in Nigeria is very limited for now, but there may be great prospects in the near future. However, your training will make you very relevant as lecturer in many Naija universities.

The remuneration used to be very poor, but recently got better. You must note that this improvement has not stopped the exodus of qualified scientists to other countries where they are better appreciated.

In summary, your training will make you very relevant in "future Nigeria" or if you choose in many other countries of the world.

Your symptoms do not tie up to any disease i know.

However, if you are convinced that you got infected from our cat, you need to get to a hospital to see a doctor who will ask about your symptoms, do a physical examination on you and possibly some laboratory tests.
ahsanims:
Dear
What kind of laboratory test need? please explain
You will notice that i first said you should get to a hospital. The reason for this is you need to talk to someone who knows about these things before you do a lab test.

All infections (cats included) involve presence and multiplication of microorganisms in the human body.

The human body is a big place for them to hide, so we need clues that will tell us where these microorganisms may be. these clues might be in your complaint (but in your case, you haven't really given any clues - e.g were you bitten by the cat, did you receive scratches from the cat, or was your food contaminated by the cat)

Clues are also in your physical examination e.g when the doc listens to your chest with a stethoscope, or when he inspects your body for rashes or infected wounds (maybe from the cat)

These clues are very important for the doctor to be able to tell you what lab tests you need to do. Without them, any doctor's hands are tied.

So, if you think you are sick, the first thing you need to do is to see a doctor physically. I'm sorry, but online consultations can't help very much in many instances.

The first time for everything in life is a trying period. Nobody ever gets it right the first time. But that does not mean we shouldn't try things out.

It happens everyday in life. When you drive for the first time, you are a risk to every other road user but you still try until you become good. That is why you need experienced people to guide you.

Seeking help and guidance about nuclear power use from experienced countries like the US is a step in the right direction.

My people, let us be more open minded, receptive to new things, and most importantly positive. Good things won't tell you in the beginning that they will end up well. You just have to wait till the end to see, but while we wait, we follow the right guidelines.

We shouldn't even be flying planes because we have not yet mastered the normal use of our roads, not to talk of our waterways.

I propose that all airplanes in Nigeria be grounded with immediate effect, and every Nigerian should revert back to walking because that is what we deserve!!!

He needs to look into the problem of double taxation and the menace of the LASTMA; they are becoming a bad and sore taste.

What criteria do you use when you decide to lock a thread or not.

Nairaland has a lot of people on it, so you just can't do what you feel lilke.

You allow insults to whole nations, to ethnic groups to fly.

You don't lock the threads.

So, why should you lock a thread where someone raised valid concerns.

You need to give me a non-conflicting answer. or better still let us have the guidelines for posting in this section, so that things can be transparent

No, let me correct you, i do not seletively lock threads,
Because someone bought a car and rented a new house is not enough to label the said man as a criminal.
the reason behind it, is not known.

This is just the normal Nigeria sayings,
when a young boy buys a car. .  He is a yahoo boy,
when a Man builds an estate,  . . . he used Blood money to build it.
when a girls opens a beauty shop. . . she got the money from Prostitution. . . But NO!

there are alot of people who work legitimately and their break-through can come at anytime.
People generalize everyday.

People talk a lot of s.hit about things they don't know anything about.

They insult others that have a different point of view.

You are able to tolerate this!!!!

But you chose to lock the thread that did not go down well with you.

Imagine in the 21st century when we are trying to move forward with most of the world making advancements, the North produces a group called Boko Haram , Western education is sin. That is the kind of backward retrogressive behaviour I am talking about.
Political fanatics in the south have equally dragged us back. Criminal minds whose only intention is to fatten their pockets at the expense of every other living thing. They even push their blind and stoopid followers to fight their battles.

i can't believe you guys talking about drug dealing can't see what really happened here.

Those guys were being deported in inhumane conditions, shackled head, arms, feet and hips, and also made to wear a helmet. The unfortunate 29 year old who had enough dignity to protest that kind of treatment died along the way.

The drug dealer thing was to smear his person, and to cast public eyes off the things they have been doing.

This kind of treatment is inexcusable.
