Why not arrest the guy and subject him to interrogations. No wonder there is no value for human live in Nigeria. not really but am telling you it is quite difficult to totally blame the soldier. they have witnessed similar situations that were fatally to colleagues. like someone said, the man should have taken his leave once warned. the whole situation is just unfortunate. |

Isiokpukpu: Are you trying to justify the killing of this young man. Don't allow karma to look at your direction. SMH rule out emotions and be objective reading the story. no body is justifying the killing but then you can not really blame the soldier looking at the volatile situation in that part of the country. the victim himself did not help matter either. |

Michealforever: Of all places to pack sand.
How do you convince the soldier that it's sand you really wanted to plant and not bury an explosive.
Then you begin to approach him.
How do you convince the soldier that you are not a suicide bomber.
It is an avoidable incident but abeg if we reason am well, the soldier no get fault for this matter oo because he warned him to leave immediately. ruling out emotions, I completely agree with you with all sense of objectivity. the security situation in that region detects people should be ultimately cautious, just like the forces are on high alert. this situation was completely avoidable especially by the victim going by this story. the soldier can effectively defend himself in such circumstances. |

U got frustrated because you never imagined things to turn out this way. Now is not the time for dillydallying, buckle up your shoes and be prepared to seize LEGITIMATE opportunities whenever and wherever you see one. I wish you success in your quest. I was quite disappointed once I discovered he has not even graduated. I thought he had roamed the street for ten years after graduating. who says obtaining a university degree stops one from doing business. so many students are doing business combined with their studies. I don't just understand the rationale behind this post. |

people should learn to wait for the final results of elections before celebrating, especially PDP members on nairaland. the fact that your party is winning some pooling units does not translate to winning the election, and also rigging by inec when the final result is out. PDP members must learn this important lesson and stop this childish behavior of celebrating leads in few pooling units and then claiming victim when the final results do not favor them. |

nas00: And assuming this was a scam?
A devised plan by some Internet fraudsters to collect your national ID data, to later use for fraudulent purposes?
Let the Federal Minister overseeing the national ID card program announce this method of checking himself first, or else this might be a scam.
For now, why don't we just take the pain to walk to the various NIMC offices and let them check on their own system if our national ID cards are ready? they hardly answer you especially the center at alausa Ikeja. except you have a msg that yours is ready and show it to them. by the way you can check on their website same as op has posted |

Nollywood and Irikerido Akolawuyi have really fed us with so much superstitions that we are quick to ascribe this sheer folly to supernatural causes. prettyboi1989: the way the lawyers go loss the case like wrapper ehn. seriously the school has its rules and regulations, failure to abide by the rules comes with consequences. most people dont take time to go through the school's handbook, the rules there are evn more stringent that then ones they enforce. Now any aggrieved party seeking redress must first go through the school's handbook before deciding whether the case can be won in court or not the point the lawyers are making is clear. the rules of the school are not ultimate, the Nigerian constitution is. so in the court of law, it becomes an issue of if the sch rules are wrong, even though the students are signatory to them. so if the lawyers argue in that direction, is going to be difficult for the sch |

simonlee: You mean these guys are the ones killing people and not Fulani herdsmen... Na lie! they are two different set of criminals altogether. the gangster popular known as Ghana is a Benue indigene who was more of a PDP thug and hitman during the last governor's reign. so while the herdsmen are on one side, the gangster is on the other side perpetrating crime to sustain his life of affluence. the zaki biam killing was due to arrest and denunciation of some members of his gang. so he came to retaliate. but then, the speed with which soldiers, police, DSS were sent to capture the gang is what we have not observed when herdsmen are involved. head or tail one criminal gang will be less of a headache now. |

Mr Oke is not in custody and will not be incarcerated because he is acting as a fall guy for Amaechi!!! Only a certified fool will believe this cock and bull story you are wrong and most likely blinded by PDP lost in the last election. The DG owned up to the knowledge of the money and even claimed he has documents to tender on how the money was approved by the last administration. however whosoever thinks amaechi owns the money is free to prove same, including you. since he has denied ownership and you feel he owns it, the burden of proof is solely on you. anything short of that is mere conjecture. well, while awaiting your proves, kindly allow us to believe the DG who has accepted responsibility. the PDP chieftains as you insinuated were investigated and brought to court by efcc. most if not all got their bails and are attending court from their houses. so once more, let us allow the authorities do their job. |
