so the man is still bitter that GEJ was beaten and battered in the last election. if it is all about GEJ this man should go and see down. After all the girls have started coming home and the story will not be complete without BBOG. GEJ lost and the likes of reno and a certain region shld get over it already. why blame the poor woman over GEJ failure? |
NgcoboP:but don't u think if fani kayode is corrupt as insinuated, then Nigeria is one corrupt man less? of course you have not disputed the accusations against FFK in you comment. if and when another camp takes over they shld do same to the same people in power now who are deemed corrupt. if corruption cannot be fought transparently, then this is a viable well to deal with our common enemy. |
how can this country be better when most citizens are badly mannered? come to Lagos and see supposedly normal humans violating all manner of road signs. the same set of people will expect the country to be alright. |
jaymejate:I think most of you are missing the key thing pmb said. he emphasized that, this is politics we are talking abt here. what does Aisha knows abt politics? politics especially in Nigeria is highly complicated and a President can never know or understand the people appointed in offices, especially in a kind of merger that brought him to power. so the woman shld stay out of politics. mama peace caused us enough trouble and we don't need that again. |
onatisi:there is no outright ban on rice importation. people are still importing rice through the sea ports. the ban is only on land boarders. |
erico2k2:you are diverting from the substance please. am pointing out a case of reading a straight article and making a comment that is totally contradictory to what the article says. but to answer your question, gathering intelligence against a civilian in a city is different from gathering intelligence against an armed terrorist organization in the jungles. the latter is very difficult. that is the reason why terrorist organizations and other organized criminal gangs world over are never easily taken down. |
Izonpikin:evidences are presented to the court and not to individuals on nairaland. DSS say they have evidence, so wait until they present it to court. I bet if they give you the evidence here, u will accuse them of judging people on pages of newspapers |
mazifrankmore:is it that some of you are deliberately ignorant or you have sworn that you will read and not comprehend ni? where in the release did you read that DSS counted the money and left? they said CREDIBLE INTELLIGENCE showed the money was there. it does not mean DSS went to count the money. they may even get the info through the man's wife without her knowing jack about it. that is the way secret services all over the world work. even if you want to antagonize, you can be intelligent about it, at least on a public forum like this. |
Redoil:no, even during year adua and buhari. am sure you know that the elections of the likes of rivers and akwa ibom were decided by the courts. |
eshietIntrepid:don't preempt tribunal and court judgements. fruitless protests are the least the man needs for now. gather your evidence and head to the courts or stop disturbing people. numerous elections have been upturned or upheld base on the strength of evidence provided. |
lai, the best party spokesman I hv seen |
MadeInTokyo:why are you so confident in the courts? I thought the general consensus among PDP members is that, the courts belong to APC and bubari |
Achuwa1:oga, states were indebted to their workers months before buhari took over. say what you know and leave the one you dont know pls. |
this is a sound policy. the ministry should ensure the roads are completed. |
columbus007:Thanks very much bro. best regards |
the man is complaining about importation and love for foreign materials. now on the other thread majority were supporting the smuggling of rice in the country, not even legal importation. they hanged the NCS boss for daring to fight the smugglers. the same people will flood this thread condemning govt for not creating a conducive environment for indigenous companies. we don't even know what we want |
columbus007:yes. and is if you have not comprehended my lectures. the effect may not be instant as in cholera outbreak. the long time effect may result to different kind of ailments. The NCS boss did not say there is an epidemic due to rice consumption. he said is not fit for human consumption which means it could result to food poisoning, malnutrition due to eroded nutrients as a result of expiry. Don't get it wrong, if they said a food is not fit for consumption, it does not mean the food will kill you instantly and mind you the NCS boss did not say that. it is now left for you to understand the meaning of his statement which you obviously don't. And he spoke on the basis scientific laboratory analysis result of the rice from NAFDAC laboratories. he also made mention of the duty which would have been remitted to govt coffers if such products were to be shipped through approved channels. more so I still emphasized the disadvantages of smuggling of any products to any country. such products are not checked by regulatory bodies. allow this kind of practice and see people without conscience bring all manner of poison. objectively, you can hardly fault the NCS on this. |
columbus007:no not to my knowledge. but you must understand that the govt is not only looking at the health concerns of the citizens. there is the question of duty payment evasion by these smugglers therefore reducing the revenue. such people may decide to offer the product at cheaper rates, making those who genuinely import and pay duties sale at a loss because of the price set by smugglers who don't pay duties at all. smuggling is therefore harmful health wise and economic wise. |
Mrjo:good, now you are talking. are you forgetting that there are unscrupulous business men all over the world that will go to any length to do underhand business? our people go to china and order fake things to this country, but that does not mean the govt of china supports that. it is strictly between the unscrupulous business men from both countries. dont be surprise the govt of benin will be fighting the same menace. the NCS boss has subject the said products to scientific tests and results compared to standards, hence his conclusion. if we are to be objective you may not even know that there is standard for rice in terms of nutritional content and otherwise. as long as you have not present your scientific results to counter the NCS, then you may be further from the truth than they are. the fact that you consume millet, corn, cassava etc in nigeria does not mean the same is accepted in europe, clearly because of their standards. |
columbus007:pls the term NOT FIT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION translates to many things. it could mean food poisoning, imbalanced nutritional content, objectionable organoleptic qualities, etc. it does not mean you will die instantly from the food when you consume it. deficiency in one nutrient can result to the inability of your body system to effectively defend you against diseases. overtime the effect will surely be pronounced. by and large what you eat largely contribute to your health status at any give time. |
Mrjo:if you dont have anything reasonable to say, do not quote me pls. if you have a contrary opinion, present it in a way we can intelligently debate and learn from it. and not this garage or bus stop question you are asking me. |
I think the NCS should be supported in this regard. The govt owes no one apology for ensuring the health and safety of her citizens. Aside the health aspect, so much revenue is lost due to the activities of these smugglers. As the NCS boss acknowledged, the bad eggs in NCS should be booted out for effective operations. any individuals who want to import should do so through the appropriate channels. After all is not as if these smugglers will give anyone the rice at a lesser price, that is after evading the necessary duty payments and offering unsure quality of products. |
Amelian:come op has the right to aggrieved. who told u marriage is all abt kids? op this has happened but remember the other gud time u had with her. let her understand the value of trust in marriage and move on. all the best |
Abiagirl777:pls can you express your opinion, feeling or whatsoever in a dignified way? how do you define mumu as related to ops case |
OkunrinMeta:he is saying there are people that earn that amount in Nigeria. do you have any objection to that? |
in law, there is no place for emotions and sentiments. even the truth will win you nothing in law except facts. you may be saying the truth but without facts, your truth is equals to zero in low. |
afla:no the one that upheld wike and rest election. |
Nelannie:because he was defeated na. see question. wetin him for do before |
Nelannie:because he was defeated na |
richidinho:yes, but at least we have not forgotten ekiti fiasco. very very free and fair indeed. |
AZUH:if you have any blames, blame the people that voted him. jona was defeated and did the right thing to handover. |
Love Machine:no, can you mention their names and show prove where buhari called them out? |
