Just keep deluding yourself until their (herdsmen) menace is at your doorstep. It may seems to be a mileage, but trust me it works as mentioned about a part in Benue that did it. Those people are now living in peace. I have an idea of where it happened and it really worked like magic. |

PRESIDENT BUHARI COMMISERATES WITH BENUE GOVERNOR OVER DEADLY ATTACKS; DIRECTS HALT TO KILLINGS
President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State over the reported killings, injury of several persons and wanton destruction of property in Guma and Logo Local Government Areas of the state in the New Year. While expressing immense sadness at the “wicked and callous” attacks on even innocent children, the President assured the governor and people of the state that relevant security agencies have been directed to do everything possible to arrest those behind the regrettable incidents and avert further attacks.
“This is one attack too many, and everything must be done to provide security for the people in our rural communities,” he said. President Buhari also commiserated with families of the victims and wished the injured speedy healing.

9jakohai: There is a simple explanation, and no i am not defending the govt.
1.During GEJ'S govt, the oil price was $94-120. That meant we had enough dollars to buffer the naira...and as a result the value of the naira was stronger..meaning we needed fewer naira to import rice.
2.Now, during Old Man Bubu's govt, the price of oil has fallen to $28-65. This means we have less dollars to buffer the naira, and the value falls.Meaning we need more naira to import the rice.
3.If oil jumps up to $100 again, rice prices will fall...see1 .
4.What does this mean?
a)INCREASE DOMESTIC RICE PRODUCTION...via mechanised farming and irrigation
b)Get other sources of dollars...ie industrialization., industrialization.
Fin.
Modified...To all GEJ and PMB supporters....if you guys can stop quoting me to fight your continuing battle over who is better or worser....and look at my point number 4 again...you will see where our problem lies.
Thank you. the most sensible comment I have read so far. unfortunately the audience here are mostly childish and will not agree with your intelligent submission. as far as they are concerned, it is all about buhari and Jonathan. |

Anyone who merits promotion should be promoted not minding if he is from Igbo,Hausa,Yoruba or Ibibio.

renzie: my friend I was very bitter at this administration and was only blaming Buhari, however, the truth is that, in as much as the this govt has failed in some ways, our greedy, heartless oil marketers deserve the harshest of punishments. They are exploiting the rumoured scarcity and are going for the kill. These include the attendants at the pumps, the gate men and the owners of the filling stations. Do you know I went to a station selling at a normal price(#145) yet not a major marketer. If we can find such honest people we won't be suffering this much. our people are excessively greedy for gain not minding how it affects others or the society as a whole. I completely agree with you. Just check out all the western countries we crave for and see how responsible and patriotic their citizens are. In this country, the government and majority of the citizens are completely irresponsible. in many cases govt efforts are deliberately sabotaged by citizens for their selfish reasons. |

kidman96: You all should shut ur traps... There has been fuel scarcity in every administration sincere 1980s. And for those of you insulting this country you need to know that the problem with this country is you and I and those in power.... Get in ur vehicle and drive around Lagos for 3 hours you will understand what I am saying. Nigerians are criminal in nature only a few honest ones. The average Nigerian don't care how their actions affect their neighbours. Some days ago one of my staff who is in his 60s was given a N36,000 counterfeit Naira by a young man. Imagine people carrying on with the #freeevans campaign earlier this year and youths dying to protect or criticise criminal politicians who are being hounded by the EFCC. Before you blame the government take a look at yourself and the things you do in private when no one is watching. Every Nigerian is culpabe. Nigerians deserve what they get. Until they change their mentality there will never be change. very well said. Majority of Nigerians are naturally crooks. many of them shouting here will do worse if given the opportunity. short changing a fellow Nigerian is normal. it is the results of our actions we are experiencing today. I drove today from Ikeja to Epe, there was no fuel at the stations but black marketers lined up on both sides of the road with fuel, so where are they getting it from? it is a pathetic situation we have in this country. |

Hedonistically: And that matter is already before the court, the Supreme Court. So what is the point of the recent EFCC arrest again, for a matter that is already in court? What is YOUR point again, and how does your point (or the lack thereof) justify his recent arrest by the EFCC (since the matter is already in court) ? can you kindly clear the air on this? base on media report, the case in supreme court is about over deduction from innoson acct by gtb, on the other hand, this arrest is about forgery of documents. so which one is in supreme court or both the over deduction and forgery are there? |

Koolking: Nigerians are terrible set of creatures.
How do you explain, touts are hawking fuel in jerrycans and selling at cut-throat rates while fuel stations are hoarding theirs from the public and only dispensing to the touts at night to sell at exorbitant prices?
The scarcity is artificial because desperate few are poised on milking the people. The end justifies the means. God is watching us I always imagine, why will the filling stations close but touts are with fuel everywhere? and this has become a yearly ritual. people can blame the govt all they want, but a little patriotism can go a long way in solving some of these issues. |

If he had been employed by CBN or FIRS, you will still complain that people like him are taking the juiciest federal government jobs while police and N-power are left for the poor masses. Now that he decided to take up a police job, he's still not capable to folks like you. Is it a crime to be born into royalty? exactly my thought. if d boy was employed anywhere, people will still complain. his only sin is being an emir's son. even if he doesn't work and sit at home, people will say he is just enjoying funds looted by his father. the boy is first of all a Nigerian and has every right to join police, more so with impressive education. |

good the govt has stepped up efforts to repatriate these ones.
