Me, I always quote what I feel is OK for me. if you don't want to pay, u can leave it. for a responsible company, even if you quote a lesser figure, they always pay within the scale they have. is only most of this Asians backed by some useless Nigerians that are always looking out to short change Nigerians. |

Onegai: Stop waiting for NLC to fight for you. Nothing stops you guys from organising a protest. You will be surprised at the outcome. Don't march against one particular company, organise 1000 people here to show up on a particular day to protest poor working conditions in general. Blogs will cover the story, at least one news crew will show up. Make it a general complaint but mention no names of any company: poor working conditions, no overtime pay, salary deductions and mention how foreigners seem to doing it the most. All you need is a few of you to organise everyone else and give the interviews. Do you know how many journalists are looking for stories to sell to international news sites? That is how to become a Labour leader. You really think NPF will show up against a huge crowd somewhere in Lagos and be shooting you guys? Govt leaders will stylishly try and join your protest to advance their agenda, they are looking to scoring populist votes. This means your safety is assured. Unlike religious and secessation protests.
Use the tools you have to do more than insult the govt ineffectually and talking about celebrities. makes a lot of sense |

When the Peoples democratic Party who are stakehokders screamed they dont want him, u think they dont know the powers the man has in the electioneering process.
Speaking of ignorance the dude made a lot of sense in presenting his argument. why on earth will you depend on on what politicians say to dispute a rational point? tell us the role of a returning officer in election rigging as you understand it, and not as a politician of any political extraction postulates. |

Adisa89: If she stayed trapped like that for 3 hours, she wouldn't die. She would only feel pains and probably faint. Chopping off the legs with a cutlass is the worst thing to do to someone in that situation. Her veins and ligaments would disconnect, blood would flow more freely and the pains would intensify. after an hour, she will not even feel anything fainted or not. those people that cut her leg simply killed her. |

WOCKHARDI: Why should INEC obey an outrageous court order (issued by Abang ) instead of complying with the Electoral Law that produced Jegede? Can a court order prevail over the law/constitution ? This illegal action by INEC has made the issue a National concern and no more a party affair. Nawa for INEC. the first na wao should go to the PDP who has created a favourable ground for what you are witnessing today. for your info, our constitution is a lawful document and the courts interprets the law. so inec will act on the interpretation of the law as ascertained by the courts. so blame PDP and don't go looking for who to blame |

pchukwudi: If you call this report a "media doing its job" then you clearly don't know what the job of a media house SHOULD be in a sane clime.
But from the above report, can you qoute one ststement that was made by the accused, his supporter or a reasonable bystander?
A media house that cannot cover all sides fairly and objectively is not fit to be called a media house. But this is Nigeria, so do I even expect you to know what's decent? May be you need to read and comprehend the report very well. the report is talking about what the prosecution did in court on that day, if the defending did anything on that day, it should have been reported as well. am sure when the time comes for argument on the initial charges or the amended, the defense will tell their side and it will be reported. you cannot expect the media to start running after the defense after prosecution have filed amended charges. am sure is not done in your so called sane clime. or may be you want the media to quote non existent by stander statement or accused statement. of course the media reported what transpired at the point in time and this has no coloration of media trial. |
Politics › Re: More Trouble For Justice Sylvester Ngwuta by zikter(m): 9:05am On Nov 17, 2016 |
Lifestone: A judge building a house of almost half a billion naira is certainly competiting with the politicians. But I still have issues with all these media trial. what do you mean by media trial? the judge is already charged to court. for your information, the media has the right to cover these trials. they attend court sessions and report the proceedings in their various news media. so there is nothing like media trial here. all the parties are in court and the media is just doing their job. |

DropShot: I used to take ICC serious not until it couldn't do anything about the numerous massacres being perpetuated by the West.
It's the reason some members are already pulling out and it won't be long before Nigeria pulls out.
ICC can't be serious if it chooses which war crimes to take up and which ones to ignore. You are absolutely correct and i share in your line of reasoning. ICC has power only over third world countries and not over world super powers. Those that destroyed Libya, thereby creating a lawless country where ISIS has establish a caliphate are the real criminals ICC should go after. Bush, Tony blair etc are still free today. AU should just pull out of ICC already. |

Why is there a cross on Nigerian navy's logo? Are they meant for Christians? my brother, I wonder why we think so backward in this nation. one person will put up a misleading headline and many will not think critically, only to swallow it hook and line. watch and see how no body will answer about the crosses. am a Christian but some of these issues are too trivial to waste time on. |
