It is more honourable to ask the COLEG beforehand to vary the Regulation dress rules in a manner that will allow for the use of the hijab. The input of all stakeholders would have been had and lless tension generated. Lawyers follows rules and procedures guided by judicial precedents.
To apply to be called by subscribing her names to the necessary documents certifying her to be a fit and proper person to be called to the Nigerian Bar and then eat the 3 nos. mandatory Dinners properly dressed only to do a volte -face at the Call To Bar ceremonies insisting on wearing the hijab would appear ignoble, unprofessional and most unbecoming of an aspiring member of our noble profession where honour and integrity is sine qua non.
It is better in my view to see the matter as not religious but quasi-religious for obvious reasons. To say it is a religious matter and imports a denial of her fundamental rights to freedom of worship posits the divisive and leaves other Nigerians with the impression that this is all about taqqiya and that Islam takes no prisoners. That, if correct, will be a tall order and leave Nigeria in ruins. We have to live and let live. This is about being honourable and ethical and it is better left at that.
Muslims appear to relish fishing in troubled waters via the instrumentality of Taqqiya. This is not about Islamophobia or folks not being tolerant of Islam. Truth is, the concept of Islamophobia itself is classic Taqqiya. Where Muslims are really headed is an Islamic society world-over. That is the victim card NSCIA is playing with The Sultan about to lead a public protest ostensibly in protection of their innocent little Sister in Islam who is being “persecuted” by the Nigerian Law School! If Islam will get all its want we will end up with an Islamic Republic of Nigeria on our hands and the earlier we come to terms with that and engage it the better for us! Truth is, Islam takes no prisoners! Muslims had better wake up and smell the coffee!! To think they can make everyone everywhere Islamic by stealth, sleight, force and all is something that won’t happen!!!

On The Hijab At The Nigerian Bar.

So marrying a commoner would stain the royal bloodline?

I understand you are just trying to make a point, maybe as a royal or as someone who thinks he understands how royals think, but I definitely have issues with you trying to defend the brazen act where the rich marry themselves and keep wealth rotating among them.
It is a fact of life that some will rule over others in return for some responsibilities they will carry. The idea is called The Right Of Kings. You may google “Magna Carta” to see more about that. Even in The Animal World out in the wild such exists. Overtime among men it became democracy. The same idea forms the basis for all governmental systems- republic, monarchy, socialism et al
The right to decide who to marry is personal and should not be forced. To that extent Royalty as well as the rich are not out of order to keep commoners out of their lineage. It can ocassion the unpalatable for a commoner to attempt to get grafted into Royalty - Mr. Al-Fayed lost his son Dodi and investments to such misadventure.

That's why they inter-marry?

What happened to ennobling the commoner?
I meant to say they strive to keep their blood line “pure”.

Does anyone know the relevance of the turbaning?
Royalty. Blue-blood. Class. Setting the Pace in matters of royalty. Royalty mentality is in a class of its own - it is segmented mentality. Their concerns can be weird to one not so privileged. That’s one of the reasons blue-blood intermarry. One not blue-blooded can’t mingle with them easily. You may not understand but that’s the relevance Sir!

Stat.social showed me Covenant University Molecular laboratories and I was just stunned-fully glass partitioned labs with state of the art facilities. The older one has equipment like HPLC, CO2 Incubator, Tissue Culture something, PCR, -80 C Refrigerator, Fluorescent Microscope etc.

At the recent BSN(Biology Society of Nigeria) meeting in Minna almost all of them(Lecturers) said they wanted the next Convention at Covenant University and dropped IITA and FUNAAB. The President, Prof Benjamin Ubi of the association even said Covenant has the best Biology labs in the Nation.

So why do ppl even condemn pastors like Adeboye and Oyedepo when they are obviously adding to the nation? Secular private universities are trying but they are not even close at all.
Their traducers are almost always assiduously prosecuting the agenda of Satan The Devil and the kingdom of darkness.

You are ignorant on this issue saying Jesus didnt preach peace and you call yourself a muslim . Prophet Yisa didnt preach peace?? Smh Hitlers killings or steven paddock killings weren't motivated on religion. He was just a mad dog but we have Boko haram killing people reciting the scriptures. Face facts
Lateef Adegbite fought tooth and nail in aid of Boko Haram. The Sultan of Sokoto was quiet about Boko Haram. They were secretly hoping to profit from the activities of the terrorists given their stated goal of establishing an Islamic Caliphate everywhere they dig in. Truth is, Islam takes no prisoners. You either are Muslim or you are erased. That, from experience and history is the truth.
Career › Re: PHOTO: Muslim Lady Denied Being Called To The Nigerian Bar For Wearing Hijab by zoedew: 8:43am On Dec 15, 2017
This post just validates the position that Islam takes no prisoners! Islam dictates for everything you do and the government you submit to be Sharia based and or compliant. That necessarily implies a Caliphate system of government i.e. an Islamic State. In an Islamic State there is no freedom of worship, speech, movement, association and innovation. Muslims who live in a secular or multi religious society Nigeria portends to be should be tolerant of and situate themselves within the scenario. An option is to migrate to countries that are Islamic. It is discriminatory to non-Muslims who put up with the Muezzin five times a day to insist on the hijab everywhere.

Well, e don happen!

Rest in peace sir.
You forgot to “Atikulate”. That man loves to teach the youth “entrepreneurship”! A man trained and paid at public expense to watch what was being transported in and out of Nigeria who gets involved in private transportation business on the same route opens himself up to conflict of interests in the discharge of his duties. Such conduct is not only contrary to the General Orders of the Public Service which forbids a public servant from involvement in profit-oriented endeavors other than agriculture it is also unpatriotic, fraudulent, deceitful and most dishonest. Is that what he commends to the youth as “entrepreneurship”? By his own admission Atiku has been busy at dishonest conduct as a public official since 1971 and sees nothing unethical and unlawful about that! He validates the position of folks who tar him as corruption articulated!

I no understand u o. Down syndrome? Compete? Different brand?
1. Down Syndrome = slowpoke.
GLO business model slows down its services because owner signs the checks. Issues in need of prompt financial intervention must await the signature of the owner which can be slow in coming. That in turn affects the network when, for example, servers and cell sites are not maintained promptly.
2. Compete/ different brand. GLO could if it wins run GLO and 9mobile as separate business entities/ brands to compete against themselves. That’s what I meant.

That’s not how Barclays the financial advisor will pick who wins the bid. It’s about who can pay off the debts 9mobile owes in a manner that will ensure the Brand is not bashed and the company not sunk!

most of you just talk without thinking. Maybe it's lack of adequate wisdom. If you're told to give a single reason why glo shouldn't be there. You would give a porous answer. People like u would want other countries to help develop the economy but won't support your own. If glo buys 9mobile, they will have access to thr faster servers which will enable them offer a faster speed internet with the same low price. Aren't we gonna be the benefactors? And by then, other networks will drop price of data which will make Nigerians spend less on data.
So sir, why should glo not be there?
Not quite so. The faster 9mobile servers will suffer at the hands of GLO simply of GLO Down Syndrome corporate and business culture. Until The Bull signs the check nothing happens and the servers and cell-sites begin to under-perform or get shut down resulting in poor QOS! That’s it!!! My oga at the top!! Wished you start your post with a remark complementary.

GLO should acquire 9mobile. It ll help their coverage issues
GLO issues are not about coverage as they are about their Down Syndrome corporate and business culture. Until The Bull signs the check nothing happens and cell-sites then get shut down or under-perform for lack of maintenance

Since MTN did not make the cut i see GLO as the potential owners of 9mobile asset.
Imagine glo(Data Volume) + 9mobile(speed) = BEAST MODE!! cool

You apparently have not stopped to ask yourself why folks largely deprecate Glo though it parades cheap data prices. May I suggest to you that it is because Glo does not deliver due to its Down Syndrome corporate and business culture! Cell sites et al get shut down and network become slow simply because until The Bull signs the check nothing go happen!!
