Love letters were fun to me. Actually, they were more like comedy. I'D gather my other friends and we'D all ready together and make fun of the writer especially the ones with bad English.

I kept a few of them, it's kind of nice to go back and read them.

The funniest one is when a guy tries so hard to be romantic but he can't pull it off, then he picks up his bible and write everything in the Songs of Solomon, word for word.

I don't know if any of y'all ever got a letter written from the Songs of Solomon, I did and it was funny!

love letters. just thinking of them takes me back more than 15 years when i had just joined high school.
my 1st boyfriend/ exploit was a dare from the older girls.
i remember the 1st time he wrote me a letter i replied and one of the big words i remember writing is
"Henry, when i received your letter, i was Flabbergasted!!"
Honestly!! i dont think i would write such a word now but it sounded great then.

i think letters are quite great especially helpful for shy people like me who cannot readily express themselves through talking, i remember one i got when i was in jss1 from a boy in ss1,who punctuated even word with Okay! and had to use luke in the bible for look. another wrote and i reply that i already had one and he was one in a million to me,and the next time he saw me he wanted to know how my one million boy friends were doing. another wrote how he was taking his golden pen from his golden basket of love, it was really fun receiving them and i sure would'nt mind now
