Family / Re: Would It Be Wise To Marry This Kind Of Person ? by 1forall: 8:52am On May 24, 2018 |
Guitarlife: To answer your main question, NO, it wouldn't be wise. What changes in marriage is that the good and bad things you experience during courtship will continue to occur, but to a higher degree. My frank analysis: She doesn't suit you. Reason: You do not share the same values on the role of man/woman in marriage. Doesn't make her a bad person but just not a good fit for you. If you go ahead, be prepared to continually deal with the issue because you both will always differ when it comes to that topic. You say you strongly feel she'll give you issues on authority matters already, so why set yourself up for a lifetime of regret? Oga, DON'T DO IT! My advice, and I will go straight to the points, no psyches: Make your health your number 1 priority at this time. If your girlfriend is adding to your stress with your health condition then she's not the one for you. Focus your effort on getting your life together - health and job. You didn't say your age or qualification so it's difficult to advise in that regard. Stay in your mother's house as you can't afford your own place yet - I don't think your Mum wants you out. The girl is a liability, drop her like she's hot. Now! If as a girlfriend she's giving you this level of pressure, believe me, you won't enjoy being married to her. My candid advice. 452 Likes 29 Shares |

Depends on what criteria you are using to determine 'better'. You will need to supply more information about your expectations for a more robust answer. Note however that a City & Guilds certificate is a vocational qualification while a BSc is academic. |

Education / Re: Top 5 Universities With Terrible Postgraduate Programmes by 1forall: 5:21pm On Mar 09, 2017 |
These are 'Nigerian' problems my friend. What's going on in these schools is a reflection of what's been going on in the country they're situated, and virtually every aspect of Nigeria is bedeviled with these problems. Which way Nigeria? |
Politics / Re: Saraki Visits Berlin Germany To Improve Power Supply In Nigeria (Pics) by 1forall: 2:40pm On Mar 09, 2017 |
WTF is Saraki working to improve power supply for, is that his job? No one in Nigeria seems to know the actual functions of the legislature. The legislature is ignorant of its own duties, the executive does not know, journalists do not know, our legal practitioners do not know and obviously the citizenry is fully unaware. Thus the legislature continue to get away with all sorts of nonsense like this! 1 Like |
Career / Re: Which Is Better British High Commission Or A Banking Job? by 1forall: 1:01pm On Mar 09, 2017 |
If it's a permanent contract by all means go for the British High Commission job. Usually their pay is good and comes with benefits. They respect closing times as stipulated in your contract (you're expected to go home once it's closing time regardless) and there are no marketing targets. It is a generally saner environment to work in compared to the Nigerian banking industry. If I was faced with such a choice I won't blink before knowing what to do. 1 Like |

Travel / Re: Agent Demanding N1.3M For Visa To Spain by 1forall: 2:00pm On Feb 14, 2017 |
You don't need an agent! Getting the visa needs you to go to their website to find out the requirements for the type of visa you want and apply, and then make sure you meet whatever the requirements are. I got a business travel visa from there last month and if I remember correctly I think the fee was around 33K. Add to that the mandatory cost of travel insurance which is dependent on the intended duration of stay - the two week travel insurance I bought cost less than 10K. So all in all it cost less than 50K. If you/your brother is ready to pay N1.3m you can contact me for assistance - I'll give you 50% off that charge and ask for 650K only See attached for further information and a list of required documents. 12 Likes 4 Shares
