The first thing i expected Buhari to have done as someone who wants to set Nigeria permanently on the part of progress is to emit the body language of true federalism.

He is a fulani and so is in a position to restructure this country permanently without ruffling northern egos and feathers.

I expect him by now to begin to lobby the national assembly to begin a gradual transfer of economic powers to the state.

I expect him to begin to lobby critical solid mineral industrial giants to invest in the north.

Unfortuntely the signal we get from buhari is that of a core unitary govt advocate. He wants to control everything.

Nigeria will never be prosperous under this system of govt even if corruption reduce to zero.

You are an unapologetic and entirely unobjective supporter of GEJ so I don't expect you to say different. Wait till public revelations that shows how Ali Baba (GEJ) and his forty thieves (Allison-Madueke et al) destroyed Nigeria with monumental reason to then understand why Buhari is moving "slowly" and purposefully. Hardcore Jonathanians like you will run away. I assure you that. You will then return, if you have some decency left in you, to praise the effort of Buhari to right the cumulative wrongs of the PDP since 1999.

Oh well...

All I see here is a diasporan Buharist who's doing what he can to cushion the effect of lambasting, pumelling and sheer disappointment which Buhari's followers would receive come August 29, 2015...when the supposed honeymoon would have expired.

The motive behind this thread's a known symptom of acudenariasis - An unfavorable condition of living in acute denial.

buddy, stop taking yourself so seriously. Grow up and leave out the personality-centred approach you think you must deploy on NL. Face the topic. If you come here daily with the intention of "resisting" and "exposing" others then how useful does that make you on a political blog where folks should really discuss ideas and not other posters? If you wish to be a perpetual critic of Buhari then dispassionately show what he is doing wrong in a factual and mature manner. You will be taken seriously with that approach.

Gbawe welcome back.

Once one understands the true motive behind the 'opposition' presented by PMB's detractors, it then becomes easier to understand why they are unable to see what other Nigerians home and abroad that have a renewed hope in this country, see in this new administration.

Theirs is a meningital confusion that arises from a mix of fear of PMB's likely success which will further illuminate their error in supporting one of the most corrupt and incompetent adminstrations this country has seen; frustration triggered by the assurance that GEJ would be found guilty of monumental corruption which would further destroy his 'legacy' and reputation; the humiliation of PDP's defeat which has reduced it to a broke regional party; and a blend of ethno-religious bias comprised of a cerebral hatred for the so called "born to rule" that they believe PMB represents and the reduced relevance of the SE which has lost out of the political equation as a result of the block vote it gave the past President.

Very few of these elements oppose PMB because they truly believe he will not deliver Nigeria.

An instance of the meningital confusion I hitherto mentioned, can be seen with the "opposition's" stupefaction regarding the ongoing probes. In one breath it is dismissed as propaganda and a veil for non-performance, while in the next breath (as soon as it commences) it is called a witch-hunt and an effort which distracts good governance. The inability of these elements to see the link between probes and good governance underlines the intellectual weakness which is empirically linked to being consumed with deep-seated hatred.

The ones that truly love Nigeria will eventually join PMB in his quest to deliver this nation, but do not expect those that those under the yoke of ethno-religious bias and the ones that have decided to be Goodluck's Abobaku to see the light we are rallying them towards. Regardless, let us never be weakened in our resolve for a reformed Nigeria, our day has come.

Good day Gbawe. I'm really glad to hear from you. Be sure that those of us who have supported Buhari for years will be patient. He has a four year mandate and there will be no rush. This country needs a serious upheaval. We will be patient.

Buhari will deliver. The point is that Nigeria has been destroyed beyond what anyone can imagine. God forbid, but it is like having a child with a cough only to discover it is cancer which is much worse. Naturally the effort to threat the cancer will now be more considerable, more long term, more challenging and more measured than treating sore throat. Jonathan and his associates systematically looted Nigeria's to an extent never seen before. They did this when oil sold for $100.00 per barrel and more. Buhari is dealing with a situation where oil is less than $50.00 per barrel and all coffers of the nation has been drained with institutional decay at its worst. Of course Buhari has to be very careful, measured and pragmatic. Overall, I can confidently say Nigerians, even those who voted for GEJ, will be praising him soon and thanking God that Buhari won.

Job creation will be highest under Buhari. I am sure of this and will constantly study the statistics and report such impartially here. The fact is that job creation is inextricably linked to creating an environment where competition, transparency and best industry practices thrive. I think Buhari will deliver this better than any president we have had since 1999.
if you are talking about job creation,PMB is not going to achieve it with this Dictatorial style of governance
1.PMB is strongly opposed to privatisation and he remains a big fan socialist ideals hence employment creation is a hitch
2.PMB is or has not laid out his economic policies that can be interpreted as a statement
3.PMB is gradually slowing the flow of FDi
4.PMB communication channel is filled with back and forth
5.PMB body language on rule of law is suspect

"Nothing" because when one considers the tempo and good will with which they rode into power, based on campaign promises and the mantra on everyone's lips, one'd expect to see trail blazing achievements or a positive tangible marker in that direction.

You only create threads like this when the protagonist has done something different, something totally alien to the norm, one that shows that real change has occurred, not some speculative, body language-esque, "I will" brand of change.

PMB's job creation masterplan is hinged greatly on a diversified economy. Repeatedly, it has been emphasized that the agricultural and solid minerals sectors will be aggressively developed by this administration, and the recent FDI of over a billion dollars from China in Nassarawa State for solid minerals, highlights the early results of this commitment.

Various policies have also been enacted so far in this respect such as the recent free tax regime in the sector. Furthermore, domestic manufacturing is going to be encouraged, and the government has already stated that privatization efforts will continue.

These and more will contribute to the thousands of jobs that are planned to be created.

You or anyone else cannot remove Buhari because of the perception of of lack of performance over a time period. especially one as ridiculous as 100 days and considering the damage GEJ did.

I will stake my name and reputation on my assertion that Buhari, by far, will be the best President Nigeria has had since our current elective democracy began in 1999. I have stated it many times that the President to deliver Nigeria would be an ascetic, principled, immaterialistic and very strong-willed individual who genuinely loves all Nigerians and is ready to give his all to them.

All Nigerians should patriotically get behind Buhari because you have never had a President who care for you and is ready to do his best to make sure you have better lives more than this man. Already, the quality of his decision-making, appointments, boldness and strategizing is obvious. Even hardcore Jonathanians, Tandroids and unrepentant Buhari haters will be behind the man in a years time.

To Diasporan Nigerians.

One of my associates was Sunny Ofili who is now deceased.

http://www.theneighbourhoodonline.com/news/othernews/3074-ofili%E2%80%99s-death-%E2%80%98very-painful%E2%80%99-delta-state-govt.html

I mention him because he was an intelligent and patriotic individual who was always insisting I come home to to do my bit in making Nigeria better. I never took him seriously because of the character of the Presidents we have had since 1999. I.e OBJ, Yar Adua and Jonathan. I will certainly get involved now under Buhari and I urge all other Nigerians in the diaspora, with unique ideas and something to contribute, to consider taking a leap of faith. I won't ask you to leave your diasporan base but I want you to take a greater interest in the administration of Nigeria. I say this because most of my friends in the UK are completely apathetic about Nigeria and cynically disinterested in the prospect of a great Nigeria because "we have heard it all before". All diasporan Nigerians need to do is commit to observing how Buhari is leading Nigeria. If you then see revolutionary decisions and changes Nigeria has never witnessed before then consider going home to contribute your expertise and skills which will help build a Nigeria our children will be proud of.

To all Nigerians.
I think it can be said that "enough is enough" in the case of Nigeria. "Prehistoric" does not even properly quantify the conditions Nigerians live under. We will begin witnessing real change shortly. I urge all Nigerians who want our nation to be great to put sentiments aside. Embrace patriotism and optimism because real and quantifiable progress is here. It is the kind every Nigerians will see and feel. In the end my message is that we should give Buhari a chance and give him our support. I am fairly sure he will not let Nigerians down.

Interesting. Another APC spin doctor using the spinning wheel. We hope it becomes so, not propaganda. If you want a better Nigeria, do constructive criticism, not cheer leading. I don't play politics.

As regards the capital letters in the quote below, if true, then you don't know much except what the biased media inform you. Most interviews of President's spokesmen are not critical but lenient, sometimes laughable. Almost all appointments in favour of one region of the country. Such is setting a bad precedent. There will be future Presidents after him.

SeverusSnape:

Sir, so far, Buhari have not lived up to expectations. Till now (almost a hundred days), The man has not declared his assets, The guy is reneging in almost all his promises.

YOU'RE NOT IN THIS COUNTRY, so you don't know what's going on. The APC thugs are still waiting for their 5,000 stipend.

**sigh**

I'm not used to typing long stuffs like you. But seriously, Buhari is losing it.

Indeed. For example, some lady is busy mentioning the moot point of '100 day' as motivation for this thread. Will an election be conducted 100 days after a President is voted in? What is then the point of 'campaigning' for Buhari when such is entirely unneeded and unnecessary. As you surmised not many critics of Buhari are in the second category. Buhari is the real thing and things will start 'shaking' soon. Nigerians will need to support him so they can benefit from the tough actions the government will take on their behalf.

Mizmycoli I don't think you should have tried to demean the OP's thread by calling it unnecessary & "lacking depth", especially as your only basis for that assertion was your 100 days theory. 2.PMB is or has not laid out his economic policies that can be interpreted as a statement
3.PMB is gradually slowing the flow of FDi
4.PMB communication channel is filled with back and forth
5.PMB body language on rule of law is suspect
etc.
