writing out of experience,i would say it works if the two parties involved are really serious about each other.I have been in a long distance relationship for almost 4yrs now,and its ok,even tho we have our ups and downs.
Mine is different sha,in the sence dat i see mine at least once in a while wen its possible and we also do some smooching.i dont really understand how it would work,wen u havent seen the person at all.

distant relationship can work if its just been apart for a while but for a very long time am afraid [especially for men]it could mean disaster for the woman

It depends i guess if you are together and one have to go off to school for a couple of years and u talk to eachother and visit once in a while it would work if there is love there, if you planning on getting married it just test ur strength of love for each other,, for peeps like mid 20s if it dosent work then i guess there is no love there,

Umm, i don't see how you can be dating someone invisibly for 5yrs, that to me is not a relationship. Long distance relationship works when you see each other few times a year at least but in your case, you either see each other soon or end it please.

am into one and am scared that it wont work too cuz distance is realy bad,alot of girls luv u wen they are wit u but as soon as they go out of ur sight they bcome something else so guy shine ur eye

LDr is the hardest thing.Its no fun at all. Its not the best except whr u can't help it. I'm in one and the distance is driving me nuts, it makes us quarrel like cat and dog but when we are together, we are the model couple. I'll not advise anyone that isnt in one to go into it if you can help it. Mine is working alright but its hardwork. speeding up plans to be together soon. Cant take it no more.

And the two meets in Nigeria within every 3 months
Thats cool now.

But if she's in Ibadan and He's in lagos.
and both meets once every one year
Thats really a long distance, long time,
So I dont think it will work

Well I'm currently in a long distance relationship,It is work out fine so far.Yes thing can get hard and tense from time to time. There are good and bad days. I believe that if the 2 people really love each other and there is alot of good communication.I think long distance relationship can work just fine. All you need is real love for each other. And it depends of the type of person you are.

I had a very bad experience with long distance rel. but it does not mean that i don't believe in it, i'll just be a little smarter next time around and to make sure that the person is faithful and right for me. Not a airhead !

Believe it, it does work ,what you dont know or see cant kill you but its more expensive though financially and emotionally.

i dated someone for three years we saw once a month so basicly we had just 3months to our sleves all through but the love was so hot .

we called every other day . the mind is a very strong thing thats something no body can hold down and this long distance relations thats its main tool your mind you dont get to see the person but your mind is always running on the person .

i even sent mails everyday excluding december tahst when we get to see .

well what can i say it a world record 5 years and not seeing for once, well i don't think u can really in all honesty say she your girlfriend. to think of it when u finally meet what happens if she don't like what she sees, or u don't like the habit u notices. well for me  and from experience i think it don't work.
