Education / Re: State Universities With The Best Infrastructures And Facilities- Pictures by mrking3(m): 6:53pm On Feb 02, 2016
Among those schools I think Absu still have the Best structures and very wonderful Land scaping! But OP how do you judge school building and road network as having the Best facility? More like judging a book by its cover.

raphemmanuel:
is there any opportunity of getting a job after your nysc there, especially in your PPA.
And again as one that studied ANIMAL PRODUCTION AND MANAGEMENT is there any opportunity of getting my PPA in any government or commercial livestock farm.
Thanks for your anticipated cooperation. . .
the truth of the matter is that its only Lokoja the state capital that has good prospects of Job opportunities. Nothing is happening in other LGAs. Kogi is basically an Agro - economy state! So I'm sure if you're lucky to be posted in any of the Government Farms or so, You'll be Retained. Just play your cards well. Right from Asaya Camp. Try and lobby to be posted to Kogi state ministry of Agriculture. Get to meet one or two people there before the end of your Camping so you can work your posting there.

I served in Kogi between 2010-2011 service year! The state is cool and they're very friendly there. I did my PPA at Isanlu one of the Best and security friendly Local Government. Food is cheap! But you won't get much pay! Back then, the state pays 1k and local Government paid 5k. I'm sure with the present Restructure in NYSC, you'll be posted where you are best fitted! Aiit! Feel Free to ask questions.

This is what happens when mediocres finds them selves in position of Authority! This guy up there is just clueless!! Same thing they all accused Jonathan of. Now I don't get who's more clueless between Jona and Buhari! Jona is still far Better despite the criticism against his administration. This government has no clear policy direction! Members of his cabinet are all product of political settlement. Shakes my Head!! Sad thing here is we have a Rubber stamp as minister of Finance.

Well, For the first time I agree with all he wrote against the National Assembly Members! Those guys are nothing but common criminals! Imagine the senate president talking of purchasing exotic cars worth millions of Naira for members of the senate at a time Nigeria's economy is begging for survival? The Truth is bitter! But must be told. in as much as I appreciate his gut in speaking up! We are still not unmindful of the fact that he's still part of those that Ruined this country!!

Op, if one is broke nothing can make the guy secure.
There's just a thin line between love and heartbreak when one is broke. grin
that's the insecurity we are talking about! What ever happened to self confidence? I knew of a broke guy that approached a Banker in my Hood with mere slippers and it worked for him! Last time I checked, he's enjoying his relationship inspite of his financial status! The highest form of Inferiority complex is when you borrow your friend's car, wears just to approach a common Lady!! Sigh! The key word is BE YOURSEL!

Hmmmm! God help Lagosians! You need to see the kind of RATS found in gutters! Some of this Rat would boldly, pass beside you with impunity! The Rats in my Compound are quite devilish! Most times when you place bread or Fish on the Rat Gum they safely eat the stuff without being caught by the Gum.

Family / Re: Economical Wedding Budget List For Guys Who Dont Have Much. by mrking3(m): 12:34pm On Jan 16, 2016
I think the issue isn't really on white wedding! With 200k or Less, one can comfortably organise a white wedding. The Problem we Igbos especially are faced with is on the Traditional wedding which is quite paramount and superceeds that of white. Unlike the white, there're somethings on the marriage LIST you can never compromise! Most guys shy away from getting married just because of the High cost of fufilling the marriage LIST. During my Marriage counselling class, My Wife's pastor was Like we can use the church venue for Recepetion, church will also provide video, photographer etc. He also said, the women group will take charge of the cooking. No need of hiring caterers! I think with 200k as you Rightly said, one can organise an average wedding! Even with CLASS. With 8k, you can get a good suit at mandilas, Broad stresst, 1500 - get a bow tie, then with 6 or 7k can get a good quality shoe! Just you and your Best man are good to go. On the Tables, let's say Round tables of 10 or less, you can buy 2 cartons of Juice plus one carton of Non Alchoholic wine place each on them, buy 20 packs of bottle water, you can get one for as low as 300 naira, mix with few bags of water, then buy like 7 creates of malt, 10 creates of 35 cl bottle coke or Fantaget an average cake boss!! Before 5pm! Everything would have become History!!! You can't please everyone when it comes to party! No matter how much you tried, people will still complain of not getting food or drink! Sometimes uninvited guest are usually more than the Invited Guest. So make sure you Reserve seats for your Invited Guest! Treat them first, before anyone else! So that's it man!!

What if doesn't give him time to look for the job he desires?
What if it doesn't align with his career line?
What if he doesn't like the job?

most folks working in Big coys today were once a biginner! They started somewhere! I read a success story of one of my twitter followers today how he rose from being a mere sales Rep with paultry salary as a Bsc holder as at 2011 but today, within the shortest period of 4yrs or there about, he's now the Head of Operations and National sales manager for SLOT systems (mobile phones). See, let me tell you bluntly, Nigeria isn't a country where you think you can automatically get your career job after school. Most bankers today aren't career bankers by profession! That's a pointer to the fact why you find Geologist, pharmacist lawyers etc working in Banking Halls. I never planned going into marketing or sales coz its far from my Passion! But due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to go into it! With full spirit and gradually, I build a career in it! Till date, I still apply for Higher Roles in same industry! My dear, it only takes the Grace of Almighty God to get something good just after passing out! There's no way you'll tell me that he wount make out time for Interviews! That's a crappy excuse! Even bankers as tight as their job is, still make out time for Job Interviews.

bros drop this second class upper shit! It wount put food on your table in present day Nigeria. I know a lot of folks with crazy 2.1 still roaming the streets! Thank Goodness that you're still below 26yrs of Age. Atleast, coys like Access Bank, Pwc, Kpmg, Gsk, Uacn, Zenith Bank, Nbc etal, will surely invite you for aptitude Test hence you fall within their requirements. Key Requirements for this coys - (Bsc. 2.1 and 24-26 max, Nysc) even with my 4.23 Cgpa, age denied me acess from applying for job opening with these Great world class firms. Chief, no need to think about taking this offer or not, there's dignity in Labour. Grab this offer fast and build your work experience for Greater opportunity. That's the problem with most Freshers! Everybody wanna start with big coys with big pay with little or no experience. After Nysc, I wasted good 2yrs! Thinking I would get something better with my 2.1 but all to no avail. I had to settle with an 18k marketing job after much! Today, to the Glory of God, I earn Six figures as A sales Person. Take the advice of this honourable house bro! You have to start somewhere! Just as someone here rightly opine! You're lucky to get something immediately after passing out. Its a rare privilege especially at a time most firms are cutting down staff and laying workers off. Peace out Bro!

This is quite sad! What ever happens to their individual private cars? This 8th senate is apparently the worst senate since democracy!!! How on earth do they feel comfortable to squander this billions on luxury cars at a time the Nation is on it kneels!! Now I see the change they have been preaching about! How can there be a positive change in this government when the same people that have been pointing accusing finger on PDP were still part and parcel of PDP for 16 solid years!!!

Travel / Re: My Experience Traveling To Ghana By Road. by mrking3(m): 6:02am On Dec 07, 2015
Otunba4eva:
I had wanted to visit a place outside Nigeria to spend 5 days out of my annual vacation leave. So I decided to visit Accra Ghana by road. On that beautiful morning my younger brother had drop me at ABC transport in second rainbow along Oshodi-Apapa express way, It was exactly 6:05am, I quickly moved into the ticketing office and booked a to and fro ticket to Ghana. At this time the first bus to Accra is about to take off on their journey to Accra, so I had no choice but to go with the second bus.
My bus left at exactly 9:25am in the beautiful TV and AC tight luxurious bus, there was less distraction from the immigration, Nigeria drug law and enforcement agency and custom officers on the road as there were no contraband goods on board. We arrive Accra at the ABC park in caprice Accra at exactly 12:46am Nigerian time the following day. The journey was very smooth and interesting, only that the bus doesn't speed atall and I think they have a speed limit that they dare not exceed. Inside the bus we were served rice and chicken with bottle water for breakfast and then corn-biscuit and small pack juice for lunch.
Accra Ghana was a beautiful place to behold, the roads were neat and all road user obey traffic sign even when no police man is attached to the traffic point. I was able to lodge in an hotel with AC, wireless network and breakfast menu at a less expensive amount compare to my country Nigeria. The hotel attendant were nice and ready to perform their duties without expecting a tips from their customers.
While in Accra I visited two lovely beach, the labardi and coco beach. Saw lots pretty ebony ladies on the beach, almost tempted as some of them starring at me like a diamond ring!
Also went to Mokola market which is a colorful and bustling place, you can buy absolutely everything. Ghana has various delicacy, I tasted kenke with groundnut soup, they have a different brand of rice from ours, it's a bit gummy when u chew, I eat it with Shito (not sure if I got the spelling correct ) pepper. Mokola market is a place you can never afford to miss in Accra. Bought some kente stuff (Ghanian native attire) right there. On my fourth day in Accra, I also visited the national museum, this museum has wonderful displays about Ghana’s culture and history including the slave-trade, and Ashanti Kingdom.
Internet subscription is so cheap in Ghana compare to my country Nigeria, u can still subscribe for unlimited data which is less than 10k. That is fantastic! Isn't it?
On the fifth day, I rested in my beautiful hotel room, while getting ready to travel back to Nigeria the next day.
nice!! Looking forward to spend my Annually leave also in Ghana. How much is the Tfare thro and fro? And is it compulsory to go with the Nigerian Pasport?

Romance / Re: He Deletes Me Everytime We Have Issues! by mrking3(m): 6:23am On Dec 04, 2015
If he tried it once, I would say its a normal phenomenon with most guys and I was once guilty of this childish attitude. I did that just to show the height of my annoyance and to see if she would show Remorse! But my dear, at the end I ended up pleading for a RE - ADD. Lols! Eversince then, we've had countless miss understanding but such issues never came up!! Your own case is quite different here hence he does that frequently! My candid advice is Don't Re Add or Accept Him anymore most men prefers to learn the hard way! If he can't get Rid of this childish attitude at this stage of your Relationship, what becomes of you when you get married? That's he kicks you out each time you have minor misunderstanding? That's the implication!! I don't get why a man Twice your Age should be acting this way? Probably that's the more reason he's unfurtunately still single at 41! Coz not too many ladies would tolerate his kind of attitude. Age indeed isn't maturity!!!
