In case people don't see what's wrong here because to you,it's just a piece of scarf.Well it's not.

The black robes and red scarf Qatari officials have on them are the customary cultural wears in Qatar same way the hijab and any covering for the head is customary and cultural for the women.

Imagine your Minister of Works,Power and Housing,Babatude Fashole forced to wear the black robes and red scarf to please Qatari officials before signing some agreement on behalf of the country.Wouldn't you consider it an insult?

It is insulting in every regard.

im not a muslim, i hate scarf or hijab but i think is her personal decision.

As a minister in the Federal Cabinet of Nigeria signing a bilateral agreement on behalf of Nigeria in Qatar, tradition demands that She(Kemi Adeosun) is accorded the same respect as the President as her presence carries as much authority with the President.

Under no circumstances should a person of her capacity be subjected to conform to the cultural/religious practice of the host country.

Kemi Adeosun is a Nigerian Minister visiting Qatar, she is a foreigner, therefore she is not bound by Qatari laws or culture which can't be enforced on her.

It is utmost disrespect for her person and Nigeria as a nation to see her subjected to covering her hair to please Qatari officials. This attempt of cowardice to Qatari Islamic custom denigrates the office of the Minister of Finance and totally against Global Practice.

Madam Kemi Adeosun, next time you find yourself in an Arab nation, refuse vehemently to cover your hair, their laws are not binding on you.You are their visitor and your person must be respected.

This is a rather shallow and myopic post.It lacks common sense.

No need to imagine anythng. See Queen of England in Hijab when visiting the Gulf .

Kemi Adeosun is in good company away from your petty postulations. Feel free to have a headache over this if you wish.

I can feel your pain, believe me!.

First, the woman is not an educated person. Yes, in the context of education of an African mindset. She was born, bred, and schooled in Britain. She have no idea of our own values over here and as such cannot truly be independent in thoughts.

That's exactly what western education brings to a people; first: destruction of language, second: destruction of culture, third: intellectual slavery, fourth: poverty.

We cannot be free in Africa until we re-evaluate and restructure what we were told by the British and French is education.

Should you want to understand why that is, read the link on my signature. Then, you can join me in the crusade.

What evidence do you have to indicate that she was subjected to Qatar's cultural/religious practice. I guess you have not been to any of the GCC countries - Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain to comprehend the fact there is no way someone in the capacity of Kemi Adeosun will be subjected/forced to dress the way she did. She must have put on the head garb to impress her Boss or host - typical of an average Nigerian! I stand firm to say that no one would have forced her to dress like that as you seem to claim. Get that clear!

And from which mullah's ass did you pull that taqiyya lie that Qatar is the richest country in the world?

Your hatred for anything islamic will not allow you to see reality. As of 2016, Qatar has the highest per capita income in the WORLD, overtaking luxemburg in 2012. As we speak, its the richest country in the middle east and one of the richest in the world. Forget pictures and stories you hear about dubai, saudi arabia and how rich they are, Qatar is the real deal. If i was the president, i would also make it a priority to have countries like qatar to be my best friends because i know unlike the western countries who only talks for years but actually do nothing on ground to help you develop, countries like qatar don;t bullsh***t around, they will genuinly help you start a national carrier for instance, even dashing you some of their brand new planes from their hundreds in qatar airlines, they can dash you billions to build real infrastructure, they can invest by building new cities and malls and what have you in your country. Thats why its an arab billionaire thats building the centenery city in abuja, they can also easily pump billions to revitalize our dead national telephone company NITEL.

I have checked your site. It is good see that people are conscious, even if users of this forum have been brought up to look up to being born, bred, schooled abroad and returned. Do you know that in any family that has kids who schooled from pry/sec school abroad, not all of them return sane? They are dumped in one local school there to be de-educated. I know many of them, but we pretend they went to London to see the Queen.

The psychological effect of being brought up on Little Red Riding Hood and Jack & Jill extends to the creation of some underwear suicide bombers who have no African Consciousness and had to grab the nearest available one.

Racism is so real in this part of the world....we call it Tribalism.... I don't know how what she chooses to wear over there could be so important than what she has gone there to do....what if she wore hijab?
now looking at Bubu's pose behind her...Assuming Buhari was the one sitting and Osibanjo was standing behind him this way....he would have been termed a slave or something....

let's just hope for the best even as we pray unto God at this critical time...

Stop this nonsense. Why do you people reason like idiiots and turn around and expect other nationals to respect us? Where is your pride among other nations? What will that agreement bring to Nigeria that would warrant such denigration of her office? It is shameful, to say the least. angry

Etiquette demands that the host does everything possible to accommodate the guest. Not the other way around. She was intimidated. PMB standing like a slave with hands behind, didn't help matters. Black Africans are so inferior. Now, this is why some of us like Mugabe.
