Islam › Re: Don’t Tag All Muslims As Terrorists –sultan by 0hsisi: 9:38pm On Mar 25, 2010 |
If he has any balls,he should start by telling his people to stop holding the nation hostage and get a near corpse out of Aso Rock. That's what a peaceful sultan will say rather than talking nonsense. Isn't it the same sultan and his cohorts that said this below quoted? Rubbish He has absolutely no credibility in my eyes and that of most Nigerians. He is of no consequence and his words mean nothing to me and most well meaning Nigerians. The day Islam and it's leaders tell the truth to themselves and their people, that is the day Islam's violence may begin to dwindle a little. The violence has visited their doorsteps right there in northern Nigeria a zillion times and they still lie through their gapped teeth. Maybe when his plane is blown up mid air,he'll speak the truth from the grave. The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Saad Abubakar has condemned calls for the sack of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahaman Danbazau over the deployment of troops along major roads in Abuja when President Umaru Yar’Adua returned from Saudi Arabia on February 23. Speaking yesterday during the N100 million fund raising for NAJOMO Mosque at the Syrian Club, Ikoyi, Lagos, the Sultan described the demand as uncalled for.
The Army, he said, is not a religious Army. "Because he happens to be a Muslim, if he is a Christian, would they have called for his sack. Many things happen in this country but no Muslim leader has called for the sack of any Christian government official. For instance, there are so many crimes in the country, do we now say the Inspector General of Police should be sacked?" he queried.
It is high time, the Sultan said, Nigerians saw themselves as brothers.
"If the two religions do not work together, then development would elude us as a nation. We must, irrespective of our religion live together because Allah blesses us in this country and that is what we are striving for at the National Inter-Religious Council (NIREC) ," he said.
Backing the Sultan , Secretary General for the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji AbdulLateef Adegbite urged Nigerians to keep the military out of the current political maneuverings. Adegbite, who is the founder of NAJOMO said it was wrong to question the professional judgment of the military on such security matters.
"It is the prerogative of the military to decide on the size of troops adequate for the protection of Mr President or the Acting President, as the case may be on any given occasion," he said.
The Seriki of Egbaland warned politicians and public commentators to desist from heating the polity by what he described as their tendentious utterances and insinuations, saying that, the nation has had enough of deception in high places an undignified maneuvering.
Also, the former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, said that religion cannot be separated from politics. Tinubu, represented by the Action Congress (AC) governorship candidate in Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola reiterated the need for credible elections.
He expressed optimism that if elections are conducted in a fair manner, good people would man the seat of power and religion especially Islam would take its rightful position.Tinubu’s successor Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, in his closing remarks, pleaded with religious leaders to always enjoin their followers to shun racial and religious discrimination.

how can you divorce a wife that's not yours? Her husband is dead The marriage has been over In Igbo tradition I know that a part of the bride price has to be returned if the woman wants to remarry someone else after the death of her husband. Please tread cautiously and leave your cousins to their psycho mother If she's that evil, they'll find out sooner or later. |

Freiburger: I'm proud i took that bold steps at that tender age penetrating these immigrations that looked like the eyes of the neddle, to be here, today, i'm proud to be a German citizen and still partly a Nigerian. My family members and i also enjoys one of the best healthcare in the world if not the best, i don't need a to have a 10 duplex in VI or a bulletproof jeep or a keeping 4 cell phones i cant operate in my pockests, or disturbing my neighbours with the noise of my generating set to know i got a first class life. the foundations of my property an social security are strong(Prove me wrong if u doubt me) ppls in Naija are so proud to have a generating set . So taking a bold step leaving that place where the hope of those without the proper connections is as good as death does not make me a coward but a warrior. I visted some embassies in Lagos, the queup is like waiting in the gates of heaven, what u even see at the airport speaks for itself. so seeing an opportunity and making a proper use of it is now beeing a coward. i guess thats the jealousy we 're still talking about. Is it only disturbing your neighbors? The lung diseases nko from all the inhaled fumes. The fuel in those generators is always a mixture of diesel and bleached palm oil You know how everything in Naija is adulterated. |

And the other percentage of graduates? Why have money when the quality of life isnt great? It pains me, but I had a cousin working for shell, Only 28 was the only Nigerian out of 12 indians that worked in his field. Lived in Nigeria but traveled everywhere his job sent him Last Jan, he fell to a curable disease in Nigeria and died due to the visiousness of the illness. What kinda life is this?
A governor in Kaduna lost his entire family due to a house fire where they could have escaped but his family was locked in due to Barbed wire (preveting Robbers)
What kinda of life is this?
And dont name outsiders that Nigeria worship, they would run to a French man than to hire their own?

And to the poster that said 'only the strong survive in naija' WHAT THE HELL IS THAT EVEN SUPPOSED TO MEAN? What do you mean by strong? Strong in mind? Or heart? Or brain? Or what? So what is supposed to happened to the supposedly weak?
The problem with Nigeria is with her mentality. No change in mentality, no fwd progress. Gbam and aqva here is typical of that mindset He thinks telling us of his cars and visas make him sound rich It only makes him sound like the typical airheaded poser that many Nigerians are. Aqva: We're not saying naija is developed, far from it. We're saying most of us educated peeps who work hard in Naija are better off than 90% of our contemporaries abroad.
We're very comfortable while most of you slave inside the cold, are paid minimum wage, run from immigration, leave in cheap apartments with no heating, buy stuffs from 99p shops and JC Penny. When u see some of us who come for hols, u pple always beg us to drop small thing before returning home. Granted, 10% of u live well but that 10% are serious hard working professionals or criminals and wont have time to chat trash on NL. This is the mentally of the average Nigerian in Nigeria Things are of more value to you when you pay more for them. People here buy things from those 99 cent stores you loathe, bring them home, mark up the prices and sell them to you and you rush them because they came from America. Some Nigerians in Nigeria come here and do what I just descibed. One bought wristwatches from K mart at $7 and sold it to you so called rich Nigerians for thousands aof dollars Ode where exactly did you get your 10% figure from? is that what makes you feel better about the squalor you live in? |

My brother got sick in Lagos, and the doctors wanted to cut his appendix? Please!!! Dont make me laugh!
Why is Nigeria so crappy? Not even AC in Lagos airport unless you go to their first class lounge? Which is off the chain So from your assumptions, I am not strong, and I wouldnt be where I was unless I lived in the US. Proves you dont know me at all at all? you think US handed my money through my window? What kinda nonsense are you talking?
Only the Strong with will survive in the US also? you think Obama is sending everybody checks? Do I school and work hard? Come again? You making yourself look bad Thank you. This is a place where hardwork pays What pays in Nigeria is thievery and swindling in all quarters. Even those that do menial jobs here can put food on the table and take care of themselves while they go to school to better themselves While their counterparts in Naija with master's degrees are selling recharge cards on 3rd mainland bridge living in squalor in a rough area of town. That is the lot of the average Nigerian graduate |
