@ hilltop I stopped reading your post the moment I realize your sentiment and added to that your lack of understanding of politics in the north. My babe a Christian from southern kaduna has repeatedly shown me numerous text messages from CAN and other Christian religious bodies asking Christians to vote for gej and yakowa. Also daily sermons in churches are all about the need for yakowa to be voted in as governor. As for me I have no objection as to who is governor of kaduna. My point here is that people tend to look only on the muslin side regarding these Tex messages, and at the same time keeping mute when infact Christians are also in the bulk messages also. Lastly, their was never a time cpc had even a slim chance of grabing kano state, even a blindman, hell even buhari himself knew kano was not going cpc with or without the inter crisis in the party. |
No Jos is in the SS. |
Jigawa pdp declared winner winning like an hurricane. Kano. Pdp recapture kano. However final result yet to be announced with only 6 l.g.a. remaining pdp in an overwhelming difff. Zamfara state. One of the few states in the federation to be govern by the pdp. The record has finally been broken as the pdp has taken zamfara. Nassarawa state. The incumbent pdp lost to his arch rival the cpc despite promise to transfer power to nassarawa north. Kebbi state. Is pdp all over no sign of cpc. Kastina state. Too close to call yet. Awaiting comfirmation from my source. Plateau state. Is like hajia fatima pollen tallen has lost to the incumbent jang of the pdp. Other result will b com |
So also every dog and irish potatoes in jos knew that another 4yrs of jang pdp means more state sponsored crisis, strike and labor unrest. |
@ abibio. That was great. Thanks for the enlightenment. |
You just took the words out of my mouth. We rather visit sections than be caught in an never ending exchange of bigotry comments. Moreover, staying out of the politic section avails us the opportunity to relax and enjoy yoruba - I ibo royal rumble. |
The tide has changed. Check sunnewsonline. |
The point here is that some people are not ready to accept the fact that hundreds of hausas were killed in southern kaduna. |
It is an undisputed fact that the hausas started the killings but the reprisal attack against innocent Muslim in kaduna south is unimaginable and catastrophic. This are news that will not make the headlines in our bigoted printmedia. |
Since the crisis the usual stuff have been the number and manner Christians were killed. No body have for once refuted or denied any of the claims reported in our dalies this is the first time a report of muslin casualties was pasted on NL yet every body is questioning the figures and even the authenticity of the story. |
The north will suffer most but then if we can tolerate our Christian minorities and then harnessed the untapped solid minerals in the region then I believe we are good to go. |
When did a cpc flag and a Honda civic car becomes lethal weapons. Just joking any thumb up for the security agency more of these arrests Pls. |
His dressing is o.k. But I als despised that hat. Just as someone said signifies and identify with slavery. |
At times I feel proud as a hausaman |
@sagamite. The concept of human rights in relation to local cultures / values is complex. Take another example adultery is not a crime in the criminal code but you know the consequences in our local settings. |
Even with level of tolerance in the south there are certain acts you dare not display. A gay couple will not dare display their homosexuality in public like a park or beach. |
Haven't you heard of respect for local culture / religion. Didn't you notice any time Hillary Clinton visits any muslin place she always wear a headgear not because she was forced to do so but as a sign of respect for the host community. You can pop your championships indoors or within your own domain where such acts are tolerated. |
My asss maybe be dumb but I am not a dumb asss. You shud have allow the dude go on a wild goose chase. |
All will be well. |
Am in support of more moderation especially where offensive pixs of the death is displayed. Even the likes of CNN and BB restrict video and graphic images of death peop. |
@bahaga I came to nairaland years before you knew how to operate a keyboard. Want to find out if am a hausaman meet me at bakin kasuwa, kusa da gidan mallam tijjani, kila town gwaram LGA jigawa state. Or izala mosque gida dubu junction dutse jigawa. Just ask for goje or baban yasira then me and you will see you is a real hausaman. |
@ tpiah thanks Jare |
And other radio stations are introducing new programs as against the traditional system of only news nothing more. |
@ kobojunkie I now fully comprehend your questions and here is my answers. It is an undeniable fact that 70% of hausas listen to more than 3 international radio stations 3 times a day. But the problem here is that most of the stations devotes most of their airtime to current affairs and little or no documentary program. Given if I for instance listen to VOA and BBC hausa service I only get informed of the latest sucide bomb blast in Iraq, an earthquake in Japan, drug violence in Mexico and the local news in Nigeria. If you constantly get these feeds on a daily basis it will not in any way Make you more educated or tolerant. The only advantage is that you are up to date with the latest international event. However, of recent the BBC have taken the lead in introducing programs that enlightened the listener and educational in content. Issues such as HIV, hygiene, family issues, gender equality, polio ad a host of other social issues are discussed, and in most cases presented in form of drama. This new trend started with the BBC and othe |
@ me aboki Well said. |
Wild wild east in the making. After all opposition in east cpc inclusive join forces together to rigged and inflate figures in favour of gej. The marriage immediately dissolved after victory to pdp. Come 26th they will be back at each other neck. Imagine not a single report of ballot snacking in the entire SS and SE. |
@undu chucks. I totally agree with you that the north has huge potentials in solid minerals exploration. But my doubts here is that none of theses minerals have been geologically surveyed and their extracting viability quantified. Our problem may not be oil but access to sea. |
My prediction Kano people stil love kwankwaso despite the mayhem and this also explains why non of his properties or houses were burnt. Pdp will still take kano. No body in kano sees mohd abacha as an alternative. Jigawa state. This also belongs to the pdp. Lamido has done remarkably well in jigawa and no candidates will pose any threat. Kastina state. Even without the violence, shema knew his days are numbered. Cpc will surely capture kastina. Kaduna state. Is too close to call. Yakowa will surely get 100% votes from the Christian and a slice from the Muslims given the incumbency factor he will surely win. His closest challenger will only bank on muslin votes. Kebbi state. Before the election people though cpc will sweep the entire kebbi state. But the last election saw the massive incitement of voters with money, this ensure pdp sustained their posts. My bet pdp will carry the day. Zamfawa state. That one no shaking na anpp. Note. The masses, almajiri loves buhari and not cpc. Many will follow him even if he decide to join pdp. During the mayhem a lot of pdp members were part of the mob and trust me next election this incident will play minimal role in deciding who wins. |
I have a BB have not seen any Tex message. Even if I see one I will not take it serious. The director nysc and jega himself have repeatedly said no Corp member died in any of the bomb blast. I know of some corpers that were in involved in an accident in edo, another drowned in one of the SS state while conveying inec materials and the first casualty is a kano state born youth corper killed in jos during inec registration exercise. |
I have an ibo colleague who felt the same way I felt during the period of kidnapping in the SE. He once told me that any time he ventured out of his domain he is regarded as a potential kidnapper. That sigma alone made him felt bad. |
@ nsnfaz If you look at the post I said "at times" am proud to be a hausaman at least my state jigawa is the peaceful in Nigeria. But for the record I rather be yoruba than be an iboman. I respect the yoruba tribe and I feel they are the most advance and civilized tribe in sub Sahara Africa. |
@kobojunke I have tried to explain why free flow of information without the necessary intellectual / exposure is useless. I just don't get what you want me to explain. Today am going to bed regretting the violence but at the same glad it was the elites in the north and not innocent people that will cry. |
