Brymo:There would always be poor people in the world, there would always be people living in lack, hunger and all other flip sides of abundance, just the same way there would always be those who have never known what it means to lack good food or the good things of life.. You only know about what he did for his dog, you absolutely don't know how many other families he is feeding, or how many people's children he is training in school... If all the rich men in the world gave all their wealth away to charity, there would still be poor people in the world. The fact that he could even organise such a grand occasion for his dog is a pointer to his good soul, people care less about their own relatives nowadays not to talk less of animals.. So I think the man has a very good heart.... He has a heart of gratitude and whoever has a heart of gratitude is definitely someone with a good soul. |

Samabu07:When she decided to go into prostitution, she, out of that singular decision gave birth to prostitution.. The environment influences everything and everybody but it's how you respond to it that matters... Or if the environment is so domineering and has absolute power, how come one girl faced with harsh conditions would decide to hawk pure water and another would decide to go into prostitution.... So you see the same environment(lack, hardship, poverty) but different response. |

If the OP and other girls on this thread are so obsessed about height, then it's "okay" .. Just the same way I can't stand a girl with millet-sized breastz... I guess that's how it is too for most girls that don't like short heighted guys. |
I'm hoping to get a car soon, so after getting the car, would I now go through all these layers of stress just to get a licence The truth is, knowing something and practicing it are two different things, after going through their screenings and driving classes and whatnot.. Does that really make anyone a better driver?.. Would the fact that I have a valid driver's license authenticated by all the safety organisations in Nigeria, make me slow down at a roundabout?... Would it make me slow down at the sight of a Zebra crossing?.. It wouldn't necessarily make me do so... My point is, good driving is more of a subjective concept.... Some people don't drive well because they are just naturally insensitive, callous and indifferent people... Or let's even consider those that drink and drive... What's to say a guy doesn't leave the licensing office with his valid licence and that same night goes to the bar, drinks to stupor and the next thing he is swerving along 3rd mainland bridge. I think they should place more effort on public sensitization of road safety, instead of sort of putting the cart before the horse by making it unusually difficult and expensive to get a license...create consistently catchy TV commercials and campaigns that border on road safety / driving standards... Imagine coughing out 15k just to get a license.. or packing your new car athome for months and jumping from bus to bus because you're waiting for your license. I think they can do better |
