MzPreshie:IT'S DISGUSTING!!! He's forming James Bond with his pathetically woeful English... Mscheeeew!!, ![]() See OP... I'm not dissing you, but your English is lame!!.. If this is how you text her or even speak in real life, then no right thinking girl will give you her time.. What is "jes"... How is jes a short form of James. From one guy to another... abeg up your game. By the way... Stop calling her and reduce your desperation, Girls don't like it when a guy chokes them... Get a life!... You existed before she came into your orbit... Behave accordingly. |
If at all it happens, it's very very rare... Sometimes it's not even a matter of the girl being overly materialistic; but being around affluence is something she has been ingrained with right from her childhood, she's been used to wealth and luxury, her expectations, personality and psyche have been formed and cultivated by affluence so it would be naturally difficult for her to fall in love with a broke guy. However the "broke guy" here is relative...A guy who is working and earning 150k may be seen as broke by a girl who spends 150k in a day, so really it brings to the fore - who is a broke guy. I would be very rich in billions of naira and I would train up my daughters to be decent, humble and respectable women not to focus on money but on character, genuiness of heart and integrity and if they see a guy with such qualities they should give him a chance no matter how broke he is, so summarily I think it boils down to how the rich girl was trained by her parents. Another reason why a rich girl dating a broke guy is not even advisable is because the guy would always be in a bubble of insecurity, he would always over scrutinize himself considering his inability to provide for her rather than focusing on the relationship and her true love for him..... So it's just better make water find hin level. |
Some of the replies on this thread are just hilarious!!!.. Nothing romantic at all ![]() |
corisande:That's something I would totally dig. Very nice ![]() |
Ohhhh very much.... Very Very much excited sef. This konji is almost pouring out of my throat. |
This thread is interestingly fun, especially because i'm learning new strings of words, so much intellectualism in neon watts beaming from this thread. But I think one major instance; that particularly makes this such an interesting thread for me; which is repeated over and over again is the literary fencing between two types of people 1. The wise 2. The Fool Trust me, just by reading this, you intuitively know which category you belong and why you belong to either of them. So please you guys should carry on... To The wise, keep checkmating the fool To the fools keep giving the wise more fodder to express their wisdom. |
Ilovenigeria:That Thing. |
To be sincere... I don't pee by the road side, the only very few times it has happened was during a road trip/NYSC... Imagine traveling from Lagos to Jigawa.. By road... Ahhh I dropped all the Swag inside the bus and went to look for where to pee.. The way I was entering inside inside the bush ehn you would think I wanted to go plant cassava. ![]() .. Just for ordinary pee. ![]() ![]() |
Smartini:Chaiii.. ![]() ![]() |
Evina:Very true. |
andromida:Thanks ma'm ![]() |
Evina:What I'm about to say may reek of impulsive optimism or maybe even make me come across as proud.. But honestly there's nothing that would make me cheat on my spouse...least of them all sex.. you know how some men fall for all those chewing girls that have bouncy butts and boobies, and consequently use these assets to lure married men away... By the grace of God I'm not one of such men.. Ofcourse I'm attracted to those things especially boobies but it won't b enough reason to cheat on my wife either physically or even emotionally I see marriage first of all as a "service" to God... So my decision not to cheat on my wife is not even necessarily because she's a good wife or because I love her, but primarily because I revere God. If a man is faithful to his wife because she ticks all the good boxes what then happens when she slips and/or does something silly. |
jmoore:Big ups man!!! I hope you find that really super special person. I'm sure it's a no - brainer if I asked if you wanted to marry a virgin. ![]() ![]() I'm even somewhat like you, except for the age difference. I'd be 29 next year, and it's after I clock 29 that I want to really take the "find a wife" thing seriously ![]() Abeg if the girl you finally find also has a virgin sister.... Don't dull ooo... Hook a brother up ![]() |
Evina:Lol.. Thanks for the props though. If I say I've not masturba:ted, it's as good as saying it snows in lagos...and if I say I still masturba:te it would mean Obama is a Nigerian. In my early/mid 20s I used to masturba:te and alternatively watch por:n, but even at that it was not a habit, maybe like twice in six months... But it got to a point I got fed up because the guilt that washes all over my body is always always more intense than the "horniness" I had before that prompted me to do it... So I was like what the heck... No point... So in summary I don't do por:n nor masturba:te anymore. However I don't quite agree that late male virgins experience psychological problems or maybe I just think it's too far a fact to relate with since personally I'm not dealing with any psychological issues... But I may reason it out with the view that a man who has become overly used to masturba:ting may find it difficult to relate to real women in the real world since he is used to ventilating his sexual tension primarily through self stimulation instead of externally fed social stimulation /interaction |
My knowledge of celibacy is a bit toned towards abstinence from sex but since the OP has broadened it, then for me- Relationship Celibacy - 5years Sexual celibacy - 28years. The sexual celibacy for me is like a sugar plated blade... On one end I feel really healthy and sane and "fly" knowing that nobody has seen that side of my existence or personality, on the flip side atimes, the sexual drive "peaks" so much that I virtually become red-faced . I think what helps me to especially maintain my sexual celibacy is the thought of getting down with any random girl, I'm a very finicky person and so even if I wanted to have one night stands or cheap brothel sex, I still wouldn't be able to because I'd want the experience to be sincere and worth the time, not just with anybody but someone I have true feelings for. Aside from all that English above though... I'm a Christian and pre-marital sex is not even the faintest, slightest option for me... Not even if a gun were pointed to my fore head. As for relationship celibacy.... I've still not found the lady I have that "click" with... Searching continues... Vision 2020 ![]() |
If you're below 25....There's nothing to worry about. |
scala101:You mean you want to teach someone Aftereffects and premiere pro in 5days |
Profcamsey:You obviously didn't get the pun in that statement. |
But in a normal straight relationship, ... I don't think a man should hide anything from his wife... Not money, not anything, except maybe he's planning a surprise trip for the family and he needs to stash away some cash secretly for that purpose, I use secretly because if she knew, she would ask him about it and he may be forced to lie,... In marriage there should be transparency... Utter absolute transparency, I'm not reasoning like the "standard African man" that feels a woman should be held at arm's length when it comes to declaring his financial status, but I'm speaking from what I believe is the biblical perspective that describes a man and a woman becoming "ONE FLESH".. If the man is the head and the wife is the neck, how would you hide whatever it is you're into from your neck... Are you going to" twist" your neck like a bird-flu infected fowl because you don't want your spouse to know what you earn.? I understand that some spouses can take this for granted but it all boils down to getting married to the "right" person.. If the both of you have earlier discussed about key issues like this while courting, then at least you would know what the other person deems acceptable or not |
It's not good in a gay relationship ![]() |
Wonderlands:You couldn't have said it any better. |
I don't know whether to say it's unfortunate or hilarious to read some comments, many comments that suggest that the list of the OP is too far fetched or unrealistic. As far as I'm concerned that list is a very BASIC list. My own personal list even starts from where the OP's list ends and everything on my list is what I personally reflect in habit, character or otherwise, so I'm not being selfish or overly unrealistic. I think it's "sad" to think the OP's list is anything other than basic, and it is mindsets like that that make people settle for trash or for less or for just anyone that comes by with the belief that well "I can't get any better". A God revering girl that's a virgin, intelligent, cooks well and is good in bed- what's too much to ask in this.... I'm not looking for any girl void of any of this qualities because personally I reflect them already... My cooking may not be ACE though, but I can cook a decent meal... There was a time I didn't know how to drive a car, but many years back I learnt how to drive and now I can drive very well... The same goes with the misconception that a virgin can't be good in bed... EVERYTHING CAN BE LEARNT!!!.. and when we get on that bed.. We would teach ourselves till perfection. It's even better that way, not the one that I would be pounding her with even all my reserve energy and because her kitty Kat has been swamped and stamped by different guys she doesn't even see my effort as nothing more than an ant's foot creeping over her body. So back to the matter... @OP...dont mind people hating on your list... Don't settle for less... You have atleast 50years to live with your spouse, getting the best person for such a journey is both your responsibility and right. |
This English is trooooooong oo ![]() |
naijaboiy:@OP Apologies for pseudo-detailing your thread. Naijaboiy, I've been wanting to ask, what exactly are the implications, obligations, responsibilities of Mr Nairaland ![]() |
I honestly don't see anything wrong in what the OP said.. I don't see anything wrong in what the guy did either... I understand the religious sentiments of people who find their actions distasteful... But personally I find absolutely nothing wrong in it... I mean is it not in the same church that married couples exchange their vows... If two consenting adults could get married in church, what's wrong in modestly admiring someone in church.. You people be thinking of God as one perpetually angry, stern looking deity who is always looking for ways to strike us dead... Well he's not!!!... God has a sense of humor, God is kind and gentle... and above all God is love. I don't want to ruffle any body this night because quite frankly I don't have the time.. and typing on phone is becoming rather painstakingly stressful for me.. But many of you finding fault with what the OP said are 21st century pharisees... So overly concerned about the mechanics of piety but yet have no tangible spiritual depth and consonanting relationship. You play Terry G - praa praa on your phone and yet come to church to sing Kum ba yah-does anybody hurl insults at you..??.. You sex your yanshes out on Saturday but go to church to sing "my body is your sanctuary"... Yet nobody knows So what's with all this trash some of you are saying about what the OP did/said.. You claim she should respect the house of God but yet you are still the very people that engage in premarital sex and other" "sexcessories"... is your body not the real house of God? You guys should just take 50,000 steps backwards jare ![]() |
naijaboiy:Aye ![]() |
This thread is sweet like sooo - gaas ![]() ![]() *The House is in Session* We the honourable members of the assembly having rested our tired toes and knees and limbs that went through hell climbing the gates of the house have hereby unanimously decided to move a motion according to the provisions of section 2: paragraph 3: line 25; division 57 of the Nairaland Contributory Act; that due to the effortlessly brilliant habit of the OP in thrilling this section with really crazy and humorously seasoned threads, the OP in person of TOSYNE2MUCH SHOULD HENCEFORTH BE APPOINTED A MODERATOR All those in favour say Aye ![]() ![]() |
TheWisest:This sounds very brilliant. I just learnt something new Thank you. |
This is a very wonderfully written piece indeed. I'm surprised why some people would have anything other than appreciation and awe for this write up, it's particularly unfortunate that some guys(judging from some comments) think that doing something like this reeks of effeminism, when did being true to yourself and reflecting the true texture of your emotions become the exclusive preserve of a woman. It's so wrong to assume that the ideal African man shouldn't be emotional or loving or sweet or tender, it's just so wrong, if the woman was hewn out of the fabric of the man and the woman is "allowed" to be emotional and sweet and loving, how much more the man.. You don't have to lose your masculinity to be emotional and sweet and loving and tender, Infact it is one of the best ways to reflect your masculinity, knowing that being sweet and tender doesn't make you any less a man, being confident to express your sweet side as a man all the more makes you more masculine because it reflects a deep sense of confidence and if confidence is not a major reflection of masculinity, then what else is? I think we need to re-evaluate our ideals and concepts bordering on who a man is, because many of us have very decayed notions, even with the ladies too, I was having a chat some weeks back with a lady who suggested that if I didnt drink, smoke or womanize then I'm not a "man"... I was like Ahhh Jesu! I could go on and on and on.. But the truth is this... A man can be decently tough, yet lovingly tender, A man can be serious yet sweet, a man can be emotional and yet not be a sissy or a wimp... If the Lord and saviour of the world - Jesus, could express love, hurt, fear and other humanly emotions, then where did we get the idea from that a man is only truly a man if he's impervious to the expressions of those very emotions that make him human. So eleojo23.... I'm feeling you, I'm feeling you too much, don't allow any warped comment from obviously warped minds put you down.. I too have my own personal letter to my future wife, and if the reason why I wrote mine is remotely close to the reason why you wrote yours, I'm sure God would bless us with the desires of our heart, after all the Bible says - "The Lord God is a sun and a shield no good thing would he withhold from those who walk uprightly"... And since a wife is a good thing.. I'm sure He'll be faithful to his word. |
The only reservation I have about igbo girls especially when it has to do with dating and even more seriously, marriage is that "igbo girls are rude" As much as I won't like to lend myself to any such stereotype, I can't but just help believing that igbo girls are generically rude... Ofcourse I have some female igbo friends who are cool headed and humble but the majority of them I've had the experience of meeting are rude. |
