bittyend: We won't enrich beyond 20%, and the plants would be located somewhere on the wasteland up north.

If Nigeria wants to join the big league and become industrialised, we definitely need to go nuclear.

Our population is too huge for dams and gas - nuclear energy is the way forward.
That is when you will hear Nigerians are importing fake nuclear plant parts, and cutting corners. We have to be secure and rebuild our integrity/ patriotism first. We also have to be able to have stable power supply for at least 10years before we try that. And you think the people in the north are animals for nuclear experiment? Dont forget Chernobyl. God forbid! You can never tell how far reaching and devastating the effects can be. Nigerian's are already dying like flies from cancer, probably because of their inability to regulate and manage chemical waste. You are now talking about nuclear. We are not there yet. Come back in another 50years if we have improved. embarassed

bittyend: The solution to Nigeria's power problem would always be nuclear power generation.

Why can't we just go nuclear, and build reactors somewhere up North?

There are plenty of wastelands up North, and building nuclear plants over there shouldn't be a problem.

And Zamfara has loads of uranium.

Vision 2020 = at least 20,000mw, and we can only achieve that if we go nuclear.
Nu shekini? Are you ok? We cant manage electricity, you want us to wipe ourselves off the face of the earth trying nuclear. Abeg crawl before you walk. undecided

This is the first time GEJ is delivering. Nice one! If as a minister he compromised his position by boldly using a power company linked to him, then that is the height of disrespect and corruption. Even OBJ used other people's companies cheesy. Barth has balls. Its best he took the easy way out. I am liking this GEJ. We need people qualified and a transparent process in bidding for our power generation, transmission and distribution. Now that he is no longer minister, he is free to apply and bid. We need people focused on their jobs ONLY. If everyone comes to chop, wetin go remain? He abused his power.

This is the best decision you will ever take. If you go in with a clean heart and find a good preist, your life will change forever. If you are faithful, you will never be forsaken nor shall your generation. I tried to go the way of pentecostals because they always boast of being bible believing. I went there with a clean mind, but I must tell you I have never seen such greed and selective preaching in the house of God in my life before I made that mistake. I ran back and prayed to God for forgiveness. Goodluck wink
Christianity Etc › Re: If Eternal Torment Is True, Then Where Is This Plain Teaching In The Tenach by 2mch(m): 5:30pm On Aug 27, 2012
frosbel: Maccabees is not recognised as divinely inspired scripture.

Heaven is God's throne and no one has ascended their except Christ.

"No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven--the Son of Man." - John 3:13

There is no such place called the hell of the damned , there is a place called Hades or Sheol which is simply the grave.

This is a Parable not a true story.

esus Christ rose from the dead and the Jews did not believe that they will be punished in the lake of fire for rejecting the saviour. This is the whole essence. "He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'"
You asked that i quote the bible to prove my belief. I did so very well. You are free to believe what you will. I know pentecostals pick and choose what to believe. But in the end, the bible has all the evidence. If you close your eyes and ears to things, does not mean they dont exist. Hades/sheol/purgatory is real. That is the gift the catholic church has given to you penterascals that you refuse to acknowledge. There is a hell for the damned, some souls are simply irreparable and God knows this. How can you say a parable is not a true story, so it means nothing? Most of christ teachings, were they not parables? For you to say this alone, shows that you are definitely very ignorant about being a christian and understanding the bible. Hades awaits you and i as we are sinners. Our God is a merciful and fair God. Though the God of the penterascals is a killer God.
Christianity Etc › Re: If Eternal Torment Is True, Then Where Is This Plain Teaching In The Tenach by 2mch(m): 5:09pm On Aug 27, 2012
Sorry

Purgatory (Hades)- For the unbelievers, the sinners, the ignorants and others to have a last chance at heaven:
2 Maccabees 12:45

45 And also in that he perceived that there was great favor laid up for those who died godly, it was a holy and good thought. Thereupon he made a reconciliation for the dead, that they might be delivered from sin

[on 1 Peter 3:19-20]: These spirits in prison, to whom Christ went to preach after his death, were not in heaven, nor yet in the hell of the damned; because heaven is no prison, and Christ did not go to preach to the damned . . . In this prison souls would not be detained unless they were indebted to divine justice, nor would salvation be preached to them unless they were in a state that was capable of receiving salvation.

Evidence of Instant Hell for the Wicked (Gehana):
Luke 16:19-31 "There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. "The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.' "But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.' "He answered, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.' "Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.' "'No, father Abraham,' he said, 'but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.' "He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'"

Evidence of Instant Heaven for the Saints (not regular people, we are talking about Disciples, Abraham and co):

Luke 13:28
In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God but you yourselves cast out.

Revelation 6:9-11

New International Version (NIV)

9 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. 10 They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” 11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, their brothers and sisters,[a] were killed just as they had been.

Evidence that souls will be destroyed after judgement:

Matthew 10:28 ESV

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

frosbel: I am a believer and follower of Christ Jesus.
So you are a pentecostal, bent on disproving anything about the Catholic Church? The thing is, i actually believe evil people get immediate judgement. They go to hell straight when they die, pending God's coming. It obviously will feel like everlasting torture, because imagine the people that died 2,000 years ago and are in hell. grin. It will seem like forever. I actually do not believe they get the luxury of staying in the soil until God comes. These are the murderer's. the serial killers, the unrepentant evil and the very evil. This is their reward. But after the final judgement their souls are destroyed with other hell bounds. Surely if i believe this, i also believe in purgatory and believe the people worthy of a sit at God's table get to go to heaven right after they die. I am Catholic, but this is what i believe. wink

Gudiza: Man.
It appears you failed to consider the relationship the first World Colonialists of America, Britain, France and others have had with Africans for centuries through slavery, colonialism etc. from which whatever rights that were fought for were always built on...in some sense of payback if you like. You certainly cannot compare these countries to Second world Slavs far off the Eastern Bloc from Communist Russia that have had no contact with blacks throughout their miserable history.

Blacks in Ukraine have everything against them, they're mainly economic immigrants and are alien to the host communities. The Hosts owe them nothing. Any 'fight' would just be plain stupid. You cannot enter any country by force if its citizens do not want you and there's absolutely nothing anyone or body can do about that. I remember folks kicked against Ukraine's hosting of Euro 2012...and that's about that.
What he is facing today is what Nigerian's faced in the UK, America and france in the 50's, 60's and 70's. They never had any relationship with African's. Africa was their colony. Meaning they owned those colonies and controlled all their resources. They didnt have much so those countries exported to them at a cheap rate. Stop talking about relationship. Colonial masters had no relationship. Except if your meaning of relationship is an extension of ownership. This colony issue does not include America (except liberia to a little extent, america kept their own slaves) though. The point i am trying to make is if people like Sukanmi didnt fight back then, you will not be able to enter Britain, France and America without being harassed. Even today, People are still being harassed and killed in these same countries for the same reason Sukanmi was attacked. What will you advise them? To run and come and live in your house? Even though these countries are developed, racial attacks have reduced but not much has changed. My point is if those people had avoided these countries, life would have been a global village for the Europeans and not for us, as we would have wallowed in ignorance, which has always made people take advantage of us. Where he chooses to school doesnt matter. It is his money. The fact is he should be free to live and survive freely without being harassed. The government is responsible for foreign immigrants who are legal.

Danka7777: IBB House is located on a hillside, clearly isolated from the view of residents of Niger State. It's a Bungalow with underground, and the fence is taller than the building itself. This explains why till today no one has successful at taking a picture of that mansion. 1/2 a mile down from IBB's hilltop mansion, is the mansion of General Abadulsalami Abubakar, also a bungalow with underground and a fence much taller than the building. No other residents live in the area besides these two people, not even former and present governors. Security is toothless...military and private security. It's funny you can stand pretty much any where in Minna and you will see the two buildings, but just the fence only...lol, why because there are on high elevation.
Those guys are very smart. They are army guys and they know how to build defensively. I have seen OBJ's Fortress. Guy, the way that house is strategically built is WA! shocked shocked shocked. It is a sight to behold on a hill. Anyone approaching the house unnecessarily can be shot on sight.lmao. Its a very dangerous house to approach. "About a half-dozen years ago, architects Shalom Davidovich and Hanan Peri received a rare offer to participate in a unique construction project in the heart of the Nigerian savannah. An Israeli businessman who had been working for years in the West African country wanted to introduce them to a local tycoon who had decided to build himself a luxurious summer home near his native village."

It is a house plan these people put together. There is no evidence that the guy actually built it or is building it. That is why this should not have been put on NL or online by these architects. Even if he did build it, did they not just put a target on him? How many Nigerian's can afford to eat, that you swing this in their face? I hope the guy is safe after all this. obadiah777: they may have faced racism in the 50s or 60s but they were invited by the UK govt. remember the windrush ? like tens of thousands of carribeans and africans coming into britain at once in the fifties and sixties. this was a parliamentary decision in the UK to invite the blacks to the workforce. so while there may have been a little resistance on the path of the citizens, the sheer numbers of the carribeans and africans was such that they couldnt do nothing. now those guys in ukraine ? i doubt if their is up to 1000 of them. thats just a suicidal mission. personally i think it is irresponsible to put yourself where you are vehemently not wanted.
All this story, wind rush and all this. It has nothing to do with the story. What i am trying to point out to you is that people go through this, and have been going through this before you were born. If they didnt fight, you will not be able to enter some countries you like going to, today. It takes a case like this to mark a turning point for the country and how it treats foreigners. I am pointing out that Nigerians have faced these even in the so called tolerant and developed countries. They chose to fight back, that is why you are even "tolerated" today. The fact that he goes to school in Ukraine is not the issue, the issue is he was attacked and is being prosecuted unjustly. After all Ukraine has better educational system than Nigeria. You are missing the point totally. The wind rush you are talking about sef? Invite black to come and work where? lmao! in England? You must be mistaking yourself. England had colonies that worked for them, those colonies imported everything into england at a cheap price. Mainly the Caribbeans.Except you want to work in the industries, which has a mainly white workforce. Blacks went to England for school and opportunity, not for work. Even All the British slaves were shipped off to the Caribbean. So why will they now invite blacks to England? What do they manufacture, grow or export really in England? And these people (blacks) only came in freely because colonies could enter the country unrestricted.
Education › Re: Olaolu Femi Jailed For Defending Self Against Racism In Ukraine by 2mch(m): 4:35pm On Aug 20, 2012
obadiah777: ermmmm duhhhhh. the UK actually went to africa and the carribean to beg their subjects to come fight for them in the 1st and second world war. and then after the war in the fifties they begged every african and every carribean to move to their country because all the men were killed in the war and they needed the workforce. plus britain colonized us so we have every right to colonize them back. so its a different situation.

now ukraine on the other hand ? they dont owe you nothing. those black ppl who are their are just scavengers. they have not committed any atrocity against black people or begged you to come to their country. they did not colonize you. FRANKLY YOU HAVE NO REASON TO BE THERE
You definitely dont know what you are saying. My father schooled in England in the Late 50's early 60's. The amount of racism they faced? They will tell you the horrors they went through just so that people like you can have mouth today. I even know friends whose parents were arrested in America for defending themselves. Stop typing things you are ignorant of. The fact that they used you for wars counts for nothing. You belonged to them. You were their property. It is either you go willingly or are forced. Stop making up stories.

This is computer generated. It is most likely a plan drawn out or a person's dream house. Make una no go attack and rob innocent people. But truly, this is not impressive. Because how many rooms can one man live in? When he dies what happens? The house will crumble because no one will be able to maintain this. Why not build a simple 4 bedroom bungalow and live in relative peace in retirement? With your kids living in one room each if they come on holidays or come for family functions. This is all vanity. It is a fantasy home as the song says.
