A country introducing N5000 note, actually needs more help than a country whose currency is pegged at 1 to 1 with the US dollar.

The men are having second thoughts. Too many face palms. The ladies are praying that the jazz on the men doesnt come off before the pastor seals the deal. LMAO.

NA WA OOH!!! lipsrsealed

A lot of people are not mentally stable. OP, are you sure your husband has never been institutionalized before? People should pay attention to their spouses mental health before marriage. I think this is the only way i can justify all these stories on NL. Nigerian's always hide mental problems. A lot of people are bipolar or schitz, and without help they behave like this. Some people are just strange. At least if you know his mental status, you know you are not battling with a normal person. This is very strange. WOW! You married for real! grin smiley. And you have accepted this even before marriage. Your mentality that all men are polygamous is a lie. You are too damaged shocked
Family › Re: Urgent Help For A Dear Friend! (WIFE BEATER!) by 2mch(m): 7:10pm On Sep 02, 2012
Ok first, I will like to say, because a person is a pastor doesn't make the person human. I know people who are being battered daily and married to pastors. This is why when people put all their life decisions on a pastors hands I just SMH. Now unto the real issue. The guy is not legally married to the other lady. He just needs to break the engagement. They are only engaged. Even Nigerian court system does not recognize traditional rites as marriage. We only try to interprete it that way for our selfish needs. She could have confided in the senior pastors who may have helped or intervened. As for the beating, that is taking things too far. However I don't know the true story. I know women who raised the first finger to slap the husband and got thoroughly beaten, but interprete that as being abused at no fault of theirs. If you are being sincere, then this is my take on the issue. I also think this story has been posted before, but with a new twist. undecided
Family › Re: What Do You Do When Your Husband Refuse To Pick Your Call Anytime He Is In D Clu by 2mch(m): 9:12am On Sep 02, 2012
When I go clubbing I HATE people who know where I am stalking me. Like what is so important that you call me constantly on my time to just enjoy myself. If it is not an emergency, fall asleep! Or just text. Who can pick up a call in the club? You married a man that likes clubbing, and you are complaining? Quite frankly from what you wrote, clubbing is the least of your problems. Not to even talk of a call in the club.

Simple wake him up every night to pee, and if he has been drinking make sure he pee's before entering your bed. So your adult bed smells like piss. The irony is its not your kids stinking up the place but an adult.

You saved up all that money with absolutely no plans. I think your first point of call will be to buy very affordable, cheap land snd build something small on it. It is very important to have your own house. If you already do, kudos. Also try to get a car. You can never rely on any human being, so don't be deceived that anyone will accomodate you for long. Make sure you have a job offer before you move!start looking for jobs in nigeria. Or get a contract to launch your move. Don't touch your savings except to settle basic needs.

Family › Re: Spirituality In Deciding Your Spouse....is This Applicable To Marriage Decision? by 2mch(m): 8:27am On Sep 02, 2012
God gave you gifts to survive in this life.God made you, you are his creation and none of us is more special than the other. So why would you think he will go through someone else to tell you about your future and life? 5yrs with the right person is better than 100yrs with the wrong person. Make your own decisions in life and stop asking people for devilish consultation. You are old enough to decide you want to marry, and old enough to know who will make the best partner for you. All these consultations are very dangerous. I once had a pastor that made a "prediction" about a friend's fiancee. This prediction was based on the high level of chances of it occurring. But the pastor was exposed because unfortunately for him, the fiancee does not fall into that statistic. The fiancee passed with flying colors. This was a test that I would have failed. These guys are psychologists and well trained scam artists.A lot of people have been scammed into marrying the wrong person. The pastor out of selfishness may have someone he can remote control in mind for you. Give yourself brain and be a man. If you want to know what God thinks, you have direct contact with him. You can go on your knees and pray. Never let anyone choose your life partner.

You may want to share why you are getting divorced. Advise on how to raise your kids and arrangements after divorce can be determined by this. At least we can understand income ability, living arrangements, and temperament of each spouse. We can also advice to see if it can be salvaged.

It is possible. I have ex's that i am not attracted to anymore. They are friends because of a certain quality they have. So yes, it is possible. Some relationships may end, but you gain life long friends from it. I have ex's i will help without gaining anything from it.
Family › Re: Do You Prefer An Enigmatic Spouse Or A Straight Forward One? by 2mch(m): 8:35pm On Aug 30, 2012
Straight forward, life is too complicated to be guessing with your spouse at home. When you are supposed to be comfortable, free and stress free with the spouse. I dont like unpredictable people, they cannot be trusted. undecided
Family › Re: I Am Pissed Off With My Wife Completely by 2mch(m): 8:30pm On Aug 30, 2012
I agree OP has insecurities

I also agree OP's insecurities are further fueled by the lack of a job

I further agree that the wife is WRONG! for doing this

OP, i want to ask a question. How long have you been out of work and how is your family managing? Has it been really tough for you guys? Why i ask is because wifey may be trying her best to help out in the family. She sees you cannot get paid employment fast enough, and in her mind is desperate for help. No matter where the help comes from. I think you should try to calm down and invite the Ex to the house. Let him know in a respectable way, without making yourself look foolish, that you appreciate his help. But you are not comfortable with this closeness, and as a man you hope he understands. If he is helping, he should be helping as a brother, and not because he wants something back. If he has a wife, invite them as a couple. Goodluck.

Family › Re: 'long Life'is It Hereditary? by 2mch(m): 6:28pm On Aug 30, 2012
Yes it is. Some families are genetically predisposed to some illnesses that may shorten their life span. E.g some cancers, HBP and Diabetes. See President Carter's family history for reference. There are some families who genetically have excellent health and long life. We should all find them and dilute their genes.

OP also mark on your calendar the day you did the Marathon. In a month follow her to antenatal and put your ears down for everything the doctor says including approximate age. In 5months follow her to the scan. They should tell yo the approximate age of the baby. Then go back to your calendar and calculate. cool grin. You should also go for STD tests. angry

debrief08: What gets me laughing is that the guy wanted to kill the poor girl, used a whole packet of con-doms in one night still he wasnt satisfied, haba. What kind of greed is that? Gluttony is a sin, Now after that he is coming to ask if he can be responsible for her pregnancy
SMH. OP must be jobless. Now you are jobless with a kid on the way. If you were hustling up and down will you have time for Marathons? Sit her down and accuse her first. Let her know you heard stories and let her know you are sure of yourself. That you will suport her if its not yours. Let her know you are doubtful, so you are not getting married till a DNA test is carried out. This will separate the wheat from the chaff. Good luck future popsie. grin
Family › Re: Living With Extended Family - Advice Badly Needed! by 2mch(m): 5:53pm On Aug 30, 2012
Unfortunately for you, you both accepted to help. Not that, that gesture is not appreciated i think it is. Since mama is complaining about how boring it is, maybe you should ask her what she wants to do. Does she want to work, or go to naija and start a business which you will both support and help her start? Maybe a shop with little provisions. You can ring this into her ears constantly to convince her it was her own decision. Also, try and help the other siblings look for stable work so that they can move out and maybe share one flat with their mum. The Economy right now is very bad all over the world. Everyone is adjusting and taking up a lot of responsibility to survive and scale through. Come to an agreement in your own way and try to help to settle everyone. Goodluck.

Am quite speechless here. This is a case of damned if you do, and damned if you dont. Since you want 2 kids in your life, i think you have achieved that. It will be in your best interest to move out, and leave him to get his life together. Have that kid please. It is not a bastard or unwanted. Just save your life and secure your kids future by having some self respect. Goodluck. Both of you are surely unstable and insane. I dont think anyone will abuse you in any way if you dont create the environment for it. We all teach people how to treat us.
Politics › Re: State Police Is Inevitable - ACN by 2mch(m): 12:40pm On Aug 30, 2012
I fully support this. Each state and citizens should feel like they can have control over their states. Nigeria is too big for federal police. State police will cut out a lot of ghost workers and fraud in the pension scheme. Policing will be more structured, controlled and have more quality. We cannot put a premium on human life. As for funding, take the money out of the federal allocation. The billions politicians are stealing everyday can go to the police. The federal government will also improve and support state police, by providing them the equipment and a head start. State police is the way forward. As for those talking about Lastma, they will always be traffic police. They already are anyway. OPC will be state police. grin. They already do a 100times better job than the current police.

"I just started my pharmacy internship at 'Oxpharm', a pharmacy in Festac about two months ago. Last week Monday (20/08/12), I was doing my job when a middle aged man walked into the pharmacy and made complaints of persistent generalized body pains and difficulty with sleeping as a result of an accident he had some weeks back. The individual then specifically requested for the drug Rohypnol® (Flunitrazepam). I then asked for the Doctors prescription. The individual said he had none but begged that he really needs the drug to help his condition because all others did not give him relief. I still refused but after much begging and after profiling the individual as one who was not at risk to addiction to the drug, I sold the individual 1 satchet of drug and counselled him to see a doctor. After which I recorded the purchase of the drug in the Pharmacy's register.
This is where the guy killed his case. He cannot claim ignorance about the drug, or the fact that it required a doctor's prescription. he has confessed this with his own mouth. The police are only guilty of nollywood acting. The burden of proof is now on Nonso to prove that he did not conspire with the killers or does not belong to this syndicate. cool. The bolded also shows he was working there at the time the girl was killed. The police did all this to catch him and make his prosecution swift. Now he cannot deny selling to those guys.

When you are an adult and can wrtie in straight English, come back and argue. Dont let me tear his defence to shreds. If you read the article, it clearly states his hesitation at selling the drugs. That sting operation was probably carried out because the police were tipped off by the killers on which pharmacy sold what to them. For him to sell to the undercover cop is a criminal charge. It is obvious the drug requires a prescription otherwise he would not have had to keep record or request a prescription. He has killed his case by giving interviews, and solidified the police's position. It will help him to shut up from now on.

Politics › Re: Nonso-Maduakor Wrongfully Charged For Cynthia's Murder by 2mch(m): 4:05pm On Aug 29, 2012
I believe he is culpable. That is why as a professional you are responsible, there are certain ethics and guidelines you must follow. Otherwise you will face criminal charges. It even says it on the bottle, that you need a prescription. Are we saying he is blind? Or he cannot comprehend English? He has been criminally negligent and an accessory to murder. Will he tell people he did not know what they wanted to use such a drug for? As a pharmacist, why did he not ask them to go and bring a prescription from a certified doctor. I am sure these guys consulted him on the type of drug they were looking for. How many young guys can know this type of drug without consultation. Did he do his job by alerting the police when these guys probably consulted him? Forget story, he is culpable. Just like all those murdering quack doctors are also culpable. The ones that give fake diagnosis, kill people in their hospitals and advice them to go and die at home. smh. I believe we should bring back capital punishment. Too many people getting away with murder these days. undecided. We have many professionals that collude with criminals for financial gain.
