Morbolar: Hmmmm.....my people pls who has gotten ref letter from Zenith Bank. Hubby went there for his ref letter and they said the request must be made by his employer and they have to seek an ED's approval. Any contrary experience pls? I inquired from a Zenith Bank staff and learned that indeed, ED's approval is required for references in favour of embassies that are outside the country. In addition, his employer would have to make that request being a salary account. The way out is for your hubby to request that the letter should be addressed to the Canadian High Commission at Anifowose. I confirmed that a contemporary of mine used same to secure Ontario nomination recently. |

hiscules: Still on this Pof matter, since one cannot buy tbills from the primary market if the funds is less than 50m, if one buys in the secondary market, what document will they give as proof of purchase, also will CIC accept whatever proof(document) they give as evidence of purchase?
As long as you are buying through a bank, you can demand/request for your investment certificate. This satisfies IRCC requirement.
Also, if I am submitting tbills alone as pof, will I need to get the reference letter as CIC as requested?
Reference letters are usually in respect of bank accounts. You don't need a reference letter for a Tbill; what you will get is an investment advice/certificate. You may wish to submit a statement on the account from which the Tbill was consummated if the POF is less than 6 months. If you decide to go by this route (i.e. bank statement), a letter of reference would be desirable on the particular account
If i must provide reference letter, which bank do I request it from, the one where I purchased the tbills or the one that has the source of funds(salary)?
Refer to my response above.
Note I am choosing, another bank becos of higher interest rate
Your choice. Treasury bill certificate is an acceptable POF as seen on IRCC's website |

What does that mean I haven't seen IP1 Or IP2 so far Congrats! Apparently, you are on IP2 now. PPR loading! What's your AOR? Care to share your timeline? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by 40manlappy: 6:13pm On Jul 09, 2017 |
Cautious optimism is suggested for anyone that is relying on 25% of pensions fund as the primary POF. What works for someone else may not work for you.
See IRCC's response on this issue recently. Take note of "readily available" and "cashed out"....
It may be better not to use it as the primary POF but as a support. Of course, we all have different risk appetites....

Jasper52: Hello Everyone,
I am a lawyer and i have been doing some research into the FSW program. Can someone please provide me some clarity on a particular issue I'm having:
I graduated from University of Maiduguri and did my Law school in Lagos. For security purposes it would be impossible to go back to my school for the WES verification process and i do not have anybody there i can contact to help me. I just want to know if the Results and certificate from the Law School in Lagos would suffice for the verification process; if not what other alternatives can i explore?
Thank you. WES is not the only assessment body that is acceptable to IRCC. IQAS is there too and is even more favorable to lawyers than WES. All you need do is request for your transcripts (electronically, I guess) and send other documents to them. Lawyer matters have been discussed extensively on this thread. Do more research by reading the posts of a member named iphie.25. Cheers |

Jumdah20: Thanks for your response. Yes, the accounting experience is within the last 10 years. But do I put my self employment in personal history if I'm not claiming points for it if I get ITS?
Should the self employment experience even be in my EE profile? But it would probably look like I haven't been working.
What do you think please?
PS, I just got NOI from Ontario Congrats on your NOI from Ontario. Yes, you can put the self-employment in work history if you don't have any documentation to support that. Note that 3 years work experience gives you the maximum points that can be earned in that section. |

Jumdah20: Greetings everyone,
I humbly ask you to respond to my issues as they've been nagging at me.
I am an accountant and I worked as one for a few yrs. For the past 3 years however, I've been running my own store/boutique. It is registered as an enterprise (sole proprietor). I also have corporate account.
The NOC closest is wholesale and retail managers, type B NOC.
Can I use this my present job to get PR? Do you know anyone who runs my kind of business and has sailed through?
Please I await your responses. If your accountant experience is within the last 10 years and you can obtain reference letter from your former employer OR former supervisor, you can claim the NOC that is closely related to your former job function. I can't say much about self-employed folks. I think it has been discussed on this thread. You can use the "search" tool at the top of this page to see what comes up. |

winter: Thanks everyone for your response on the step sibling that changed his mind about sending us his docs. We decided to give our log in details so he uploads himself and hope its the right docs that's uploaded.
Not sure we can view the docs. Thanks again I strongly suggest that you go with Boss.13 and dupy.shoo's advice. Afterall, you are not claiming points through him. You don't want to take the risk of him uploading the wrong document. Let me re-echo this part "If he cannot trust you with his document, why would you trust him with your own application...?" |

Bimpsy99: Thanks. I guess we assumed the copy of PR card is needed. Its all good. Our faith is in God.. Some people who reviewed and uploaded all thier documents still got rejected. In all, I would say, do your part and let God have his way.
This whole CIC process can give one sleepless nights if you allow it, the best is to trust God and do ur best. I would come back here to share my PPR testimony My sister, PR card may be needed, especially if one is claiming points for it. You have said all, we just have to do our best, trust God and hope for the best.

Toy002: Hello house,
So my application was cancelled today because of police certificate. I actually submitted a wrong document initially but I realized 4days after submitting and I immediately raised a case for document replacement and I uploaded the correct one. Now I do not know whether to go ahead and raise another CSE to explain or to just go and create a new profile? What do you think? Urgent please. Sorry about that. You can try to raise a CSE on the cancellation explaining that you had raised a CSE initially when you realized the error. Meanwhile, it's also a good idea to create a new profile immediately as a backup. Hopefully, your application may be reopened. Try to also follow up with emails to the following addresses. Separate emails would be better especially if you don't know where your application was processed. I have also included their phone number for someone calling from overseas. All the best! Cecegal: Update people,
After 10weeks i have received feedback on my EOR for my March 25th 2017 IELTS:Scores were:LRWS:877.5,6.5 There was no way I was going to accept a 6.5 in speaking this was my second IELTS I had a 7.5 in my first speaking I wasn't even as prepared as I was for this.I was very confident that I had done well in my speaking and in being pessimistic should at least have a 7.
Imagine my shock and surprise when I received my TRF with a 6.5 in speaking I knew I had to contest that particular score now in other not to bore you further my EOR came back and my speaking was bumped from 6.5 to 8.That's more than an entire band I keep wondering what was running through the mind of the Nigerian man who examined me that day which made him conclude I deserved a 6.5,I wrote the April 8th as well and had an 8 in speaking.
You see these BC Nigeria people let's just say I leave them for God.
If you ever have any doubts regarding your results please do not hesitate to remark it might take time but it's better than never knowing still waiting on EOR for April 8th remarking Writing 6.5 as well and as I mentioned before it wasn't my best writing but let's see how it goes.
