Dammiehar: The thing fear me oh, cos I have a job like that and salary was paid by hand. the company have also closed down, if I am asked to provide something like that what will I do? Each application is unique. The fact that they asked from "A" does not mean it will apply to "B". IMO, if it gets to that, tax clearance, pension statement, etc, may be provided in lieu with a well-written LOE. |

Cc: bigbroda Now I get it, thanks miella. Had to check his initial post. @bigbroda, I guess you have your answer already. It's ok to go with option 3 when filling your details for your HND qualification based on WES evaluation. |

Beckyhopeful: Please my people kindly help me torchlight this matter. AOR is first week in May 2017.I want to resign from my current employment this month to do other personal stuffs.I am just wondering if CIC contacts my employers after I have resigned to know if I am their staff as I used them in my application.Am I just being paranoid. There is no need to be unduly worried. IRCC may or may not contact your employer. Even if they do, it can be confirmed that you were in employment as at the time of AOR. Are you the principal applicant? I think I have read somewhere that if the status of the PA changes, IRCC may need to be notified. You can Google this and see what comes up. Worst case, you may raise a CSE upon resignation. Let's hear what the more experienced members have to say on this. cc: Gymme, debbiejosh, vcole, Blackbuddy, dupyshoo |

@40manlappy It is not easy my sister but life must go on You can use the period to research on life in Canada generally so as to have a realistic outlook of the proposed relocation i.e. province/city to reside, housing, jobs, cost of living etc My wife and I decided not to log on to our IRCC account until medicals. It has not been easy but so far, we have been successful on that. Tbh, it is not easy not to think about it |

vcole: Below is a screenshot of the IRCC's latest guideline for POF as regards eAPR applications submitted from January 2016 and beyond. Please let ALL persons take note of what it says. I am quite uncomfortable with the recent notion that your required funds can be in a name other than yours. While it may be "acceptable" for the pof to be in a spouse's account, that is a discretionary decision that the VO chooses to take. It is NOT the guideline.
Also find below the IRCC guideline for lock in date for age. Someone brought this up earlier and it may not have been noted by ITA hopefuls and recipients. Worthy of mention is that your age is locked in at eAPR SUBMISSION and not ITA receipt. So if you have a birthday after receiving ITA and before eAPR submission, you would lose 5 points for age and should re-calculate your CRS to be sure it doesn't fall below the cut off for your draw before submission. Thanks @vcole. Trust you are acclimatizing very fast @dannio You have got to hurry up bro |

MummyJaygirls: Hello all, did anybody upload utility bills to show proof of status of relatives? Is it an issue if no I did. It will establish where the person resides. Provide it if you can. In addition and if possible, add scanned copies of your relative's PR card, medical card and any other document that can prove your relationship e.g. for siblings, birth certificates showing that you have same parents would be fine. A short LOE may also be a good idea to enable the VO connect the dots. @ebho Well done! |

Austynodv: Hello guys! Please I don't know if you saw my post earlier. I am thinking of getting an affidavit to declare the correct occupation on my marriage certificate. Will it be sufficient and accepted by CIC? Has anyone ever used affidavit for any of his or her documents for ITA? Please kindly share your helpful insights here. Very much appreciated. I didn't use an affidavit but what you are planning sounds reasonable. However, do you have a reference letter or any documentary proof (appointment letter, etc) of the "correct" occupation? I think you can use them to complement the affidavit and a letter of explanation (LOE). |

bigbroda: Nice one! Does one need to get a letter from d pension company again to prove dat one can access 25% of his/her pension fund especially as they are already aware? I think one should just request for his account statement from d company and state it in d LOE dat he has access to 25% of d fund few months upon resigning provided by d pension act. Dis might b a good option especially if d pension coy isn't ready to give any letter. Bros, I didn't imply that it was needed but remember that the "burden of proof" still lie on applicants. I don't think we should simply assume that the VOs are on the same page with us on this. IMO, it's all about "packaging", and above all, God's favour. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by 40manlappy: 8:17pm On Jun 03, 2017 |
Now that it appears that VOs are aware of the basic provision of our Pension Reform Act, this is just an idea for anyone planning to add 25% of pension balance as additional support for POF:
If your PFA refuses (most would anyway) to give you a formal letter addressed to IRCC on the issue, just send an email to their customer care unit to inquire on how and when you can access 25% of your pension balance.
They will likely reply confirming that you can apply for it 4 months after you are out of employment. Since the mail should bear your PFA's contact and the respondent's signature, just print out the email and add it to your pension statement supported with a LOE.
NB: This is my personal opinion.

Boss13: Good to know Secondary School Teachers are top Skill experience. However, I am not so sure about Youth Service. I was looking at the 6 months accounting. If NYSC is considered as employment, good enough. I know periods, when one is a trainee is not considered as skilled work If he can get a reference letter that will cover the NYSC period (1 year), maybe he can claim Secondary School Teacher. cc: curllygee, eddycross |

peppers: Hello everyone, please assist with That part that states what I v done in 10 years do I state NYSC and university there? It will not still be up to 10 years except I add my other jobs to it but I don't have letter for them and don't intend to get. I have university from 2007-2011 (four years course but did diploma 2007-2008 and bad 2008-2011, I submitted both docs to WES for them to evaluate to four years), nysc from 2012-2013,( i worked in between 2011-2012 but I can not get letter )and work from 2013-date. I also have gaps in between the years. Please advise Put jobs that you can't get reference letters for under the "personal history" section. Where you have gaps, put "Unemployed" there. Make sure there are no gaps! You should be fine if you can get reference letter for your present position which is more than 3 years already. |

Wumiadeaj: I have hnd in Accounting, I have ACA, i have MBA too, pls when filling MBA do they request for speciality or something cos I picked entrepreneurship back then, I started working as an audit trainee in 2004 after NYSC, I then did a contract job with one of dis big 4 audit firms between 2005 to 2007, moved to another audit firm in 2008 as an audit senior, started working as accountant in 2008 and av worked with two companies as accountant till date. Can I feel NOC 1111 as my area and then feel accountant wherever my profession is requested while I support with letters from all the companies I have worked. Specialty doesn't matter when it comes to evaluation. Your MBA would most likely be assessed as equivalent of a Canadian Masters degree. Note that 3 years work experience gives you the highest point for that section. You may move others to the personal history section when you get ITA and filling your e-APR. So if you have worked up to 3 years or more in your present employment, that should be sufficient. Otherwise, you may have to obtain a reference letter for the previous employment. I don't think there is any harm in obtaining all if it's not too tedious for you. Check the job duties of your proposed code (NOC 1111) and see if it matches what you currently do. Google can very helpful here. |
