Ehrnie: Thanks for your response. What's the process for asking if eventually I want to...? Email...via CIC account...? You cannot request directly; a Canadian citizen or PR has to request for it on your behalf. I think I also read somewhere that there are some entities that can also do that for you at a fee. Have you gotten AOR? How many days post-AOR now? Passed medicals? Don't think you should worry too much about it for now if you haven't passed medicals. Even with medicals passed, you may just get several pages of information that has no real value to you. You can Google "GCMS notes" for more information. |

Boss13: Hi not to discredit your response. However, I just felt I should comment on this because this got me confused and is a reason for not submitting early. Hence, there is the need for clarity on this issue.
Please note that you cannot use Pension fund as POF. The reason is that the fund cannot be liquidated almost immediately. It requires time for the fund to be made available to you. Even if you submit it, it will not be calculated. It will be noted, yes - but will not be included as part of your POF. So it is better you have your POF readily intact to avoid rejection.
It takes up to 5 months, after resignation, for your Pension fund to be credited to your account. 4 months after resignation to apply for the fund and possibly 1 month for processing and subsequently crediting. Well said bro cc: drchic |

Chordata: In addition, you may need to first confirm that the company where you did the internship will be willing to give you a reference letter. Most companies only give reference letters to their permanent staff (they do not generally give reference letters to interns and contract staff). One reason for this is that they do not carry out thorough background checks on interns/contract staff and as such it's not wise to issue reference letters from a legal perspective.
PS: I'm referring to multinationals though; smaller companies may not care. cc: saddyn |

joyuzo: Hello house, pls I need response on this issue I have presently from IQAS? I faxed my other supporting documents on May 6th via HELLOFAX and till now I'm yet to get a mail acknowledging they have received all my documents for the process from them, despite all my emails to them .They only claimed or confirmed that got my payment and online application?Confirmed from my Uk Sch dat my transcripts was sent to them on May 10th, and HELLOFAX confirmed to me via email that my documents were viewed by them on May 22nd.Below is their latest reply to my email.
"Please be advised that IQAS does not accept emailed or scanned documents either from clients or issuing institutions. IQAS accepts official, paper transcripts that confirm graduation, and which are sent directly by the issuing institution. Faxed documents, whether viewed or not, are not considered submitted for purposes of the application process. Please refer to the status updates outline below to clarify the document requirements." Pls house advice on my next move. Thanks I want to believe that IQAS is talking about transcripts. I sent all my documents via hellofax except the transcript which was sent directly to them by my school via courier and I had no issues. Same for many others on this forum. Please call them tomorrow to clarify. Get your reference number handy to ensure a seamless interaction. Cheers Looping: miella, Chordata |

Just to be sure, is one to multiply 9044 by CBN rate or parallel market rate? Important question please. No need @bolded. Just select "CAD" and "NGN", the site does the conversion. See below;

saddyn: Hello, pls I want to apply under mechanical engineering but the only challenge I have is work experience as am not sure how it works with cic.
The only engineering experience I have is my 6months IT and 1year NYSC. I have an Msc degree from uk and have worked in a uk bank for 1year on contract bases.
Also I have a one man consulting firm but majorly in petroleum marketing and supplies.
Ps: pls I need your advice as I need to claim points for 5years work experience.
Thanks Why do you need 5 years work experience? 3 years gives you the maximum points under Express Entry. Can you get reference letters/evidence of being employed for the work history that you listed above? See the picture below for further guidance.

Java47: Guys,
For the POF, which is better, the requested financial profile or six months statement?
Bear in mind, the account balance hasn't been up to a million. It spiked up to about three million in one month. Is there a way to go about it? What do you mean by "requested financial profile"? Maybe if you throw more light on your situation, you can get the required advice. |

OJaySeenson: My people, I hail o...
Great job on here...been silent for a while, reading and following advice...but I don reach one naijamade full stop and I need elders to help me move forward...
Na unilag o. Dem no wan gree prepare my transcript to WES. So I just wanted to ask: I have a postgraduate diploma from a UK uni that is ready to go for the ITA. should I just send that alone to WES and have it assessed? In other words, is it the number of years of the degree that counts, or the level of the degree? Cos I have IELTS at level 9 ready to go plus four years experience and my Mrs get extra points from UK masters too...unilag is the only thing holding me back. Do I really need to wait for them? Abeg make una advise your boy... I don't think your PGD alone will fly. You may qualify for "2 or more certificates, diplomas or degrees" if one of your qualifications is for a program of at least 3 years. This is a step just before Masters degree on IRCC ranking of educational qualifications. Have you considered making your wife the PA since she has UK Masters which earns more marks than a PGD? Is her IELTS result on level 9 too? Is she younger? You can send me a PM for the Unilag thingy.

sammyacbxyz: Hi guys, can someone pls look at this situation for me. I am about to apply for the Ontario PNP under human capital priority and all my documents are ready to be uploaded. I intend to apply tomoro. My current CRS score is 401 and my next birthday is first week in september about 3 months from now. My question is,
1. What is the current processing time for OiNP application?
2. Can I still receive PNP after OINP application when my CRS has dropped less than 400 in the pool after my Birthday? I don't know their current processing time but my wife's colleague got nomination this month; exactly a month after applying. IMO, apply "sharply" so that you can get your nomination asap. Remember that it gives you additional 600 points which translates to ITA at the next available draw. The 5 points wouldn't matter once you get nominated. |

Reasonabledoubt: Guys, this CRS calculator can it be trusted? I did a calculation with my ielts result this morning and I got 435.
I'm 27, single, have more 3years work experience in the Finance department of a bank. IELTS score:
L-8 R-8 S-8 W-7
I just want to know how close to actual, the result from this calculator can be. Below is the link I used, gotten from this thread.
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp The tool is ok. I assume you have a Bachelors degree and still got 435 with the profile. |

Interesting analysis @bigbroda Though I don't see Ontario going below 400, not to talk of 370. Even though a lot of people have been declining their NOIs due to the present low cutoff for IRCC's draws, you will agree with me that EE applicants within the 400-410 range are many. Apart from the fact that people join the pool everyday, the new changes coming from June 6 (additional points) is sure to create a new set of 400-pointers who were previously below the borderline. So the cutoff of 400 and above for FSW is likely to be sustained for a long time. |
