joborskill: i cant wait to see him beside Mazi nnamdi Kanu in Kuje prison When he fraudulently emerged as the senate president, we predicted his impending doom but his blind followers like pa chukwudi44 think it's a bluff. I see tinubu's hand in this saraki's trial. This is meant to show saraki that no matter how rich and powerful he his in Kwara the Jagaban will always remain a political father to him. Saraki fuccked with the wrong guys forgetting that the Era of the weak GEJ and impunity is over. He is a PDP soul covered with an APC body. He is deceptive and too ambitious hence the need to send him to political Oblivion. All hail the Jagaban of Borgu and PMB for letting the over pampered kid understand he cant outshine his masters Can you in all honesty say that Tinubu never stole LASG money in quantum? Even the hard working Fashola did so please spare us the holier than thou attitude!!!! Saraki's issue is simply over ambitiousness and greed He is simply reaping what he sowed: he betrayed PDP, who made him politically and now APC is |

Quakertellicus1: You know something....why apologize to a woman who did nothing about the mess in NNPC....especially the fact that because we did not properly fix the refineries and add new ones under her rule.....we are in this mess.
1.You are paying N180 for fuel(it is still N86.50 in major marketers and NNPC fuel stations....higher in some independent marketers)....because the fuel subsidy.....WHICH YOU DO NOT WANT REMOVED....and which your new hero supported its removal....is preventing marketers from making profits....so as a result....they have to sell much higher than official price....or else they won't have the dollars needed to import.
2.Have you ever thought why we do not have the dollars for imports? It is because oil prices have fallen....so we can no longer waste dollars on everything.....we need it to keep up the naira....so that you sports fans wont be paying N100000 for a loaf of bread.
And if the subsidy goes.....you would be paying far higher for fuel. So...why are you complaining. Do you expect APC to diversify the economy in 10 months....when PDP and your new heroes did not do it in 16 years?
3.Ask your new hero why no new refineries were built? Even if the ones we have are working at full capacity....we would still need to import 23 million liters of fuel every day. And the reason prices stayed at N97-N87 per liter during her time was because...we had the dolalrs to import and subsidze the fuel at the same time. Now we do not...and now the decisions we made not to build new refineries has come back to haunt us.
4.Ask your heroes why at the end of their rule...they were still owing money to the marketers? That is why they refused to import...they were owing so much that they were in debt...and they still owe. Because....we no longer have the dollars to import since oil prices fell.
5.And is it now you are noticing we bought fuel at higher prices. I bought fuel at N102-110 during GEJ's time. I even know of people who bought fuel at N170 in Minna during GEJ time. And fuel in SE and SS was above N150 during GEJ's time. Indeed...it was only Lagos and Abuja that sold fuel at N97 during GEJ's time....in the very outskirts of ABuja.....fuel was sold as high as N140. during gej'S TIME.
6.What would solve this problem is ......removal of subsidy. But that would put prices of fuel above N150....the same price you are complaining about....but fuel would flow. You are complaining about high prices....and yet...you paradoxically do not want the actual solution to your problem....apart from five new refineries?
Nigeria needs at least 23 million extra liters per day...in addition to the new 17 million liters of fuel per day. Some even put it at 53 million extra liters per day!
Abeg...why apologize to someone who spent all the time in office doing nothing to solve the problem....and hiding the problem via massive dollar influx to import fuel to paper the cracks. Nigeria needs new refineries and removal of subsidy. Things that your new heroine did not do ...and before anyone calls me zombie....things that the new APC govt must do if they want to sort this issue out once and for all.
Nigerians.... Point of Correction GEJ earned more dollars when the crude price was high but they also spent proportional more to import the same petrol....they subsidised petrol from N147 down to N97.....thats a whooping N50 multiply that by your 23 million liters per day...thi explained why FG under GEJ paid more in subsidy than Obasanjo's era. Whereas the present adminstration were at a point selling petrol to Nigerians are prices higher than that obtainable in the oil market The fuel crises now is not about unavailabity of dollar to import the cheap petrol but that of a government that is learning on the job of running a federal government |

Inspectahdeck: You voted for change and change you will get.
Billie Jean King a renowned female tennis player who fought for equal pay at the U.S made this statement yesterday on amanpour, she stated that "change is slow and painful" so I advise that we exercise patience and pray for our country instead of constant curse.
In my thoughts I always wonder why mr GEJ is so quiet and I concluded that he might be regretting all his actions and the situation he left Nigeria aided by the sycophants he surrounded himself.
Also the last meeting he had with Burahi he give out names of his formal aids. Looking at the circumstances, after the meeting the next day efcc and dss began arresting same.
Finally, we are our problem in this country, but we are so quick to blame the government. Some examples 1. People throw dirty on the road then blame government why can't they pay lawma a mechanism government put in place to eradicate waste. 2. a man channelled his fish pond waste water to the main road at nkpolu in port harcourt. His act spoilt the road completely with no remorse until people traced the water on early morning to his house. He started begging till I left ph the road was very bad yet people blamed the government. 3. Trucks carry overload goods and spoil our road or fall on other cars and all we do is blame government. What about the greedy driver and his boss? Etc.
Finally,
1) we need our value system back in place. So people know what is bad is bad vis a vis. 2) reduce to the minimum religious and tribal sentiment in every area of our lives. 3) have hope in our country and challenge the government intelligently. Also pray for the country all the time. American say in God they trust, they are not fools. 4) when politicians see the change in us (as a people) they will sit up and govern well. 5) elect into power or governance capable hands. 6) fight sabotage in our system. E.g. Fuel, light, corrupt etc. A market woman selling vegetables, what is her business with dollars? In her life I don't think she has seen dollar or used same. People using dollars to trade are the only ones to feel the impact but here in Nigeria everybody wants to exploit any situation to make money. A few make billions from sabotage because Nigerians are gullible and forgetful.
My take on a complex country called Nigeria. At the bolded it is not at simplistic as you put it A government is a reflection of the society Politicians aren't born politicians they are people from the society, if Nigerians are made up o conscentious people then you will be have conscentious leaders When leaders show example change becomes inevitable an very possible for for citizenry |

At best, others pay levies. You will be shocked how much people in the middle class are paying as levies. I have interviewed okada riders and tricycle operators in many areas around lagos: they pay as much as N1500 per day!! Mulitply that by 26 working days that's roughly N40,000 monthly in levies which goes to the government at the end.....yet what exactly is the money used for? The government still want to run the flamboyance of spending on the sweat of the impoverished citizenry.....thatswhat people are actually kicking against |

Many of their doctrines are against the biblical principle.
