PoliticsRe: UN Invites BIAFRA Group To June Meeting by 49cents(m): 10:26pm On May 11, 2015
semitunde:
I wish Igbos the best in their quest for Biafra.

I only hope what I see in such future won't come to pass, and if it inevitably does, that it doesn't impact much on the rest of the country viz:

The ability to create and sustain an enabling environment, enough to contain the teeming population of igbos coming in.

The ability to maintain infrastructure that would easily collapse under the strain of population surge over a sustained period.

That the same youths won't be disappointed and frustrated in the reality as against their dream, enough to want to force themselves back to where they rejected by coming home.

That the fight of every man for himself won't leave communal duties for no one.

Igbo Governors have been having it easy so far. Most of their population don't stay at home and hence do not strain facilities. Those facilities and the mental capacity of those in charge would be put to severe test. One which I unfortunately don't see them coming out of.

Igbos need deep introspection and an evaluation of character and mind set for Biafra to work.

They also would need friendly neighbours. They need to start forming the friendship now.
you have spoken very well

biafra may backfire if adequate planing and structuring is not done

THIS IS STORY FOR THE gODS.

EVER HEARD OF THE PHRASE "MAKE THE HAY WHILE THE SUN SHINES"? DID GEJ SAID THAT IF HE COULD NOT FIX THE POWER SECTOR IN FOUR YEARS THEN HE CAN NOT DO IT IN 100 YEARS? IF GEJ CAN FIX NIGERIA IN FOUR YEARS WHY DID HE HAVE TO WASTE VALUABLE SIX YEARS?

COME ON WAKE UP FROM YOUR SLUMBER AND SENTIMENTAL ETHNICITY. NIGERIA HAS SINCE MOVE ON!!
I am not pained that GEJ lost the elections, not like he was crediting my domiciallary account while he was there......point isBuhari aint the man for the job just sit back and watch

Ethnicty will continue to be the denominator of Nigerian politics whether you want to wish it away or not

Its not a coincidence that the North and SW voted for buhari and Osinbajo....spare me the anti corruption mantra cos the backers are very corrupt fellows

I just can't reconcile this. The same people that were shouting "GEJ FOREVER", are now making instant demands for change in the system they fought tooth and nail to preserve. Something is just not adding up! This shows the character of many Nigerians that have held Nigeria back for decades; INSINCERITY!!! and HYPOCRISY!!!!

Were the people shouting "GEJ FOREVER; NO VACANCY IN ASSO ROCK: .....ETC" ready expecting any of change being discussed throughout Nigeria today from GEJ? Were they expecting any different results from the same government with the same tactics?
Madam my support for GEJ had nothing to do with the fact that he is the SS and am from the SE it was based on something else; not even based on his absolute average performance nut on the quality of the option being buhari

Had GEJ been given a second chance he would have done things quite different......nigerians would have reaped from the costly mistakes and concessions he made in the last four years......now we have an 'expereinced' leaving office when he is most needed

If buhari starts with the same way GEJ was forced to start being zoning and playing to the gallery then what is the aim of bringing in a new helsmanhuh

Dont worry we already know your game you want to frustrate BABA SAi you will fail, any body who wants good for this nation should pray for BABA Buhari that God should guide and inspire him to repair nigeria, Almighty God should protect him from evil doers, false friends, praise singers, and trouble makers, may Almighty God destroy his enemies and frustrate and humilate all their labours Amin

There is no way GMB can hire his ministers without considering geopolitical zones. For instance what if GMB knows a lot of trusted northerners who are very competent and credible enough to do a good job and he makes them all ministers and only very few positions got to people from other zones? People will still cry that GMB is a tribalist. So competence and geopolitical zones are factors that will determine who makes it in the cabinet.
Unless there is a Change in how minsters are selected Buhari will fail even more woefully than his predecssessors

the north now know that they only need an ally in either SS or SE to retain power who are currently out of the power equation

THE SE AND SS ARE NOW MORE LIKE A BLOC JUST LIKE THE NE,NC AND NW

they dont really need the SW anymore because all they need is to dangle VP slot to the SE in 2019 and a promise to support a SE/NW 2023 presidency WITH A SS SENATE PRESIDENCY

BUT LIKE I SAID I RATHER WE SEE A PROGRESSIVE NIGERIA AND NOT JUST JOSTLYING FOR POWER AT THE WXPEBSE OF TRUE DEVELOPMENT

And two generations of Nigerians are deceived into some lies called "CHANGE"!

What a shame!

Even the so called first 8 years of the PDP was still extension of the same military.

It was IBB, Abdusalam an co who contracted OBJ and imposed him on Nigeria.

These are men who were combatants during the civil war almost 50 years ago,
They ran Nigeria after the war.

for years of Shagari, they came back with guns.

After more than 20 years of holding the people to ransom, they came with CHANGE!
Change backwards to the dark days we are trying to come out from!

Who dares to distort history?

Shame on this generation!
A very intellligent observation and judgement you just spoke my mind completely

I was listening to the radiio this morning and one analyst was just reeling out the failures of the Jonathan admistration under Ngozi's watch and my mental reaction was what u pointed out

Obasanjo imposed the duo of yaradua and jonathan, two guys who nver aspired, desired or had any plan to be president nor did they have any solution toNigeria's complex issues

After yardua , Jonathan was imposed; he did his best based on his abilty but can't compare his best with that of a man who ran. With his own steam. And become president

Going back, Obasanjo was imposed by his senoir colleagues on Nigeria, and that was why he couldn't do much and by the time he knew it, 8 years had gone and that was why he attempted a third term

Tracing back, abacha was imposed via shekan and by an evil IBB who didn't want a pure. Civillian in Abiola , who ran on his oiwn steam......
Going back to shagari the same thing, he too was imposed on Nigerians by the same military so they when he would fail, which they knew he would, and would use that as an opportunity to come back.....

Now buahris emergence is the same thing, a military man brought in by the same military colleagues

And this imposition of leaders has also happened at the state levels, governors impose their candidate on the people based on their percieved loyalty and mark it all the imposed leaders always under perform even when they fall out with their god fathers

Nigeria's transformation is a long journey and will only happen when this shabby semblance of democracy is rid of t aristocrats and gerontocrats

It beats me how many educated Nigerians think that because Buhari has been unable tomultiply his wealth via application of new ideas despite the fact that Nigeria subsidses his existence through "immoral" pensions as military man who cvame to power through a coup

PoliticsRe: May God Forbid That Any Government Will Repeat What Gej's Did – Oby Ezekwesil by 49cents(m): 9:30am On May 10, 2015
Truth is their is a huge disconnect between a real civillain president, like president GEJs and the armed forces

Did any of you count the number of times GEJ had to sack the service chiefs for non-performance? Because they weren't performing

The military chiefs weren't confortable receiving orders from a bloody civillian, whose presudency is hugely unpopular in the north

Chibok girls and the insurgency was suppossed to be the tools that the indignant north used to. Frustrate the presidency of GEJ, how many sponsors that were cut red handed

Didn't gen Azuzu state that Boko Haram was in the government

My friends brother is among those in the war fronts and said that they were often told to abandon their tanks and armoury whenever boko haram were approching in that way boko haram never lacked in weaponry

Have u guys forgotten about the soldiers who defined their commandants because of the poor professioinal decisions given them

Have you guys ever wondered why the army did much more in 6 years prior to the elections than in 6 years

There are certainly more questions than answers

The truth is any civillian president can't really contro the Nigerian military who have been used to being power; they will only obey their own

They will obey OBJ,GMB but not a bllody civillian and that was why I in proinciple had to route for GEJ not vecause I was impressed by his style of leadership but I felt his victory at the polls will stamp in civillian authority in Nigeria's presidency

That's why am happy david mark is out of the senate presidency and wish that a real civillioan gets the spot

The military must know their right ful place and respect civillians to afterall they were once civillians picked to guard our collective territory; their superioty complex is really obnoxious
