MADRID — Arsenal's star midfielder and captain, Cesc Fabregas, has struck a verbal agreement with Champions League holders Barcelona to return to the club next season, Cadena Ser radio reported on Tuesday.http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp/article/ALeqM5h-v4XqCOUlGYGPzHnobK-Zjhwbmg |
deb:Are we getting Capello or you think anyone who shares similar skin pigmentation as Capello will take us to football glory? |
Just heard the news. It's great news, it brings some much needed stability at the helm instead. |
I presume you guys have seen this one. Another light weight attacker to ad to your collection. Arsenal were closing in on the signature of Marouane Chamakh last night after the Bordeaux striker’s proposed move to Liverpool collapsed amid some acrimony.http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/arsenal/article7019976.ece |
What was debt as a percentage of GDP during the depression? Its quite obvious that the deeper the recession, the greater the percentage of GDP spent. Tell us something new. This recession, though very bad, is no where as devastating as the great depression. Obama's estimates is that public debt as a percentage of GDP will hit 100% by 2013. The recession is effectively over as of Q4 2009, we have had 2 quarters of consecutive growth and 2010 will see at least 2.5% of GDP growth. There is no excuse for deficits to continue soaring at these levels years into the future. You have failed to point out where exactly Obama has increased spending, apart from the stimulus.Spending has increased across board in almost every domestic programme. Spending has increased from $3.1 trillion, which was Bush's last budget, to $3.8 trillion, which was Obama's last budget and will remain at those elevated levels years into the future. So, instead of the stimulus spending of 09/19 remaining one-off programmes, elevated federal spending becomes a permanent feature of the economy. Your argument, if there is one, is that much of the spending increase is the simulus package. The stimulus package was for $700bn which is to spent over 2 years, adding about $350bn per year to the deficit. You obviously don't need me to tell you that deficits of $1.4 trillion per year can't be explained away by the stimulus package unless you want to engage in the circular argument of calling every spending increase a stimulus. Remember that Bush's last deficit would have been around $485bn but the tax rebate programme of '08 added $170bn while the TARP programme added $700bn to bring it to $1.3trillion. That should give you an idea that deficits approaching $1 trillion are not structural but already included one off stimulus programmes and so, even when adjusted for falling tax receipts, should be able to fall back to sustainable levels. |
Stop being facetious. . . . by this same token, I can say that Reagan tripled national debt (accumulated from 1776 to 1981) in only 8 years in office. . . likewise George Bush doubled the debt that was accumulated from 1776 to 2000. . . isnt it funny that the most vociferous campaigners for cutting the debt, such as the Tea Party are also the most vociferous campaigners for cutting taxes?. . . do the 2 positions tally? The sheer stupidity of your argument is the assumption that a bad economic policy is justified by pointing to another bad policy. Reagan did not triple US public debt nor did Bush double US public debt. It's also quite daft to prclaim that increasing debt by 30% of GDP, as Obama plans to, is the same as Reagan's 18.5% increase or Bush's 11.9% ncrease. Presumably, a public debt which will hit 100% of GDP is just normal and is no different from the Bush and Reagan era. Tax receipts are dropping by 11%, Unemployment is running rampant, so of course receipts are lower and expenditure is higher. It's silly for Obama to use as his metric the Bush administration. However, unless the presumption is that the recession will continue for the next 6 years there is no excuse for proposing deficits that will entail debts of 100% of GDP and federal spending of around 25% of GDP years ahead. Stop being narrow minded, are the questions raised by the markets over US sovereign debt merely a product of a right wing conspiracy? If you were a student of history, you would remember that in 1993, Clinton's $500bn stimulus package was passed without a single vote from any RepublicanThis man is ridiculous. All these University of Google numpties. $500bn stimulus package in 1993? |
SEFAGO:Abi, the way they are terrorizing my ears with their rubbish music. Kilode Vectra, what nonsense. |

doyin13:Is this what your life has turned to? |
Mhismole:It's okay, I like the woman to take charge. |
stillwater:British women disagree. I trust their opinion to that of Naija women. It's all your fault. |

Mhismole:I want to val you too. Yep, I love candle lit dinners, poems and all that BS. |
stillwater:I always ask them, ' I dey get am, kwo'? Yet, they act like they're being cervically probed. Maybe you were afraid she would call you a sexual deviant, so fear catch you? TongueYou can't even broach high wire sexual acts with a Naija girl. They only know missionary style. Dogg'y style is the height of their experimentation. |
@OP You don't drive without a spare tire do you? I think the girl dumped you because you came across all loving and infatuated. Naija women don't like that, they prefer arrogant and obnoxious men so next time you have a Naija girlfriend, don't be too nice. ![]() |
stillwater:I try to teach you stubborn women but it's not easy o These Naija girls are like corpses in bed, I am not a psychic, I can't communicate with the dead.
Most women dnt because many naija guys have the mentality that when a woman tells him what she wants n how she wants it then she musta have been a slut. so una cause am
Na lie. Stop going out with useless Naija men. You have to communicate what you want. Don't be a prude. You Naija women just love to act prudish. |

Besides, what's with you women. You can communicate to your man what you want in bed. |
davidylan:There are plenty of economists who suggest workable solutions but both parties don't want to implement them. The GOP think spending cuts alone will do the trick, which strangely they never implemented in the Bush years. The Democrats proclaim that the rich alone will fund the deficit, which is demonstrably false. The solution is a mixture of the two; spending cuts and across the board tax increases including the introduction of a consumption tax. This is obviously a long term solution. Obama and the rest should stop trying to further their political careers by playing class politics which is no more than trying to bribe favoured constituents with spending that has to be paid for at some point. |
I agree with that statement
You are blessed with wisdom. ![]() |
stillwater:Una no dey hear word. Stubborn women! |
I guess we shud also start the same thing, we also dont want a guy that done all the whole neighbourhood. ![]() I mean this is prolly why so many girls lied abt the number of guys they have dated
The solution is not to sleep around not dishonesty. This idea that it's only Nigerian men that are reticent about having slags for wives is ridiculous. Even amongst Westerners, there is a preference for women who don't sleep around as marriage material. Don't be more Western than the Westerner. |
spoilt:Nigerian women are horrible in bed. Could be part of the reason extra-marital affairs are rampant. These married women act like sex is a favour they are doing for their husbands. |
davidylan:That's complete rubbish. Obama's plans to spend far more money than American earns, and that is Bush's fault? You would think that what he will learn from the Bush era is that once the immediate economic recession is dealt with, you have to rein in spending not keep spending at historically elevated level. |
davidylan:If his plans can't be funded by this demographic alone, how else can he fund it? |
davidylan:You think those earning over $250,000 alone will pay for the $9 trillion Obama plans to borrow? |
davidylan:The reality is that Obama's spending plans mean that Americans face a future of higher taxes. Nobody is fooled by this sleight of hand, promising to increase taxes on only the very wealthy. The tea party brigade realise that. That's what distinguishes a great country from dysfunctional countries like Nigeria; the ability to reflect on longer term consequences and not be seduced by the promise of immediate Govt handouts such as tax credits. |
biina:In 7 years time, the club could issue new debt, on worse or better terms, to pay off the principal. Like I noted, the most important part, the bond issue, has been accomplished at a time of a crap credit market. MU's financial health in 7 years time is another matter. |
davidylan:This is ridiculous reasoning. The fact that some carry objectionable placards doesn't make the entire organisation a racist organisation. If that is the case, you better take the next flight out of the country as most Americans share the tea party's sentiments about taxation. |
Ibime:You obviously have sh*t for brains. Are worries about sovereign debt purely a right wing issue or maybe you live a monastic life? When Moodys announced that the US's triple AAA rating is under threat or when the markets are selling off over sovereign debt, is that a manifestation of a right wing conspiracy? The fact is that Obama inherited a public debt of $9 trillion, accumulated from 1776 to 2009, and proposes to double it to $18 trillion. It's one thing to have a stimulus package to deal with a recession, whatever the merits maybe, it's quite another not to commit the country to coming to grips with a debt crisis. When Bush ran up deficits, Obama criticised it and rightly so. When Obama proposes deficits that double US public debt in record time, making Bush's deficits look like child's play, you have to be an obscenely moronic person not to recognise that this poses dangers to the US's long term economic health. |
