Foreign AffairsRe: Video Showing Israel Racially Attacking Africans...cruel! by 735i(m): 11:00pm On Oct 24, 2013
Sloan: You should BE MOST WORRIED about the IBOS who say they are Jews! Well, these are your brothers and you better not be African otherwise, you are finished! The only thing not shown in this video is beatings and killings of Africans on the streets! I pity the Africans involved and the Ibos who keep deluding themselves as Jews with their big bags and "raiden-type" (mortal kombat) hats. You people create hatred in the midst of your immediate neighbours and are seeking to be joined to Jews who are the MOST racist humans on the planet!

Well, I am glad I am a Yoruba with history recorded as far back as man could keep written records, thousand of years BC, and I am still proud when I read the stories of our Oyo Empire, a direct descendant of Oduduwa, a prince from the ruling house of Ile-Ife! I love all my Yoruba borthers and sisters - we are all the same, there is no stratification or distinctions. I will be more than proud to live in a Yoruba Region (if Nigeria refuses to allow each nationality to become sovereign) because at the end of the day, what makes the foreign countries we live attractive is their way of life (everyone is on the same level, no oga, no driver, no servant except you can afford to pay per hour), their system which works and their infrastructure that makes life easy. All these can be created in an all Yoruba region because we have done it before and if not for the jealousy of Ibos and the north, the West today will be on the same level as the US, UK, Germany, etc. It is on record that the Yoruba West was on the same level of civilization with the current day US in the 1800s!

America got independence from Britain in 1776 after years of war and more war was fought after that and we did just the same thing in the Yoruba West! It is a pity we are trapped in this Nigeria and the only compromise might be to allow the country to remain while we devolve into regional governments! I worry that some people from some parts of Nigeria might not want these to happen or refuse to go back to their regions after the country breaks. As a Yoruba, I am tired of being in the same country and region with Ibos and I just want us to have some clear demarcation, some boundary so we don't get in each others way. You go and build Nigeria from the east, we will do it from the West and let some others build it from the north. I just can't wait only if GEJ is not lying with this conference! angry angry angry angry angry
i think the problem here is that you over-rate your intelligence!!

It happened that we went for a club party and we were all driving fender to bumper .
All of a sudden, my guy at the front slammed the brakes and he had no brake-lights!
I rammed into his car, sending both of us spinning to the road side.
2 things happened that was amazing.
....1. The car was mashed off to the windscreen but I had not a single scratch.
....2 . The cd player was still blasting and guess what song was on?

Along with £3.60 diced beef [for stew sauce] ,£3.86 Tesco whole chicken, £0.29 salt, 1kg spaghetti for £0.98 and £3.50 olive oil I'm a little over £50 and doubt I can finish all the above within 2weeks save for maybe get extra beef and chicken

CareerRe: CFA Candidates In The House by 735i(m): 11:18pm On Oct 15, 2013
RixExpat: Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is not really a separate field in risk management. It is simply an approach to risk management where we look at the risk facing a firm from the top down (you can call it a top-down approach) as against a bottom-up approach that considers the various categories of risks such as market, credit, operational risks, etc in silos. ERM is akin to risk from a portfolio or enterprise perspective (the totality of risks a firm is facing) where we consider the correlations and cross correlations between the various risk categories. Both approaches have their strengths and limitations and are covered in the two most popular risk certifications (FRM and PRM), so you do not need any form of special training in ERM. What you need is a risk management training.
Naa... i meant Energy Risk management man!
I know all about the FRM and PRM...it's Energy Risk that i had in mind.....
InvestmentRe: Mutual Funds In Nigeria: Please Share Your Experience by 735i(m): 11:08pm On Oct 15, 2013
deenee: @ manie.....I can tell you for certain that Stanbic IBTC equity fund and ARM discovery fund have out performed the Nigerian All share index on several occasions even during the stock market meltdown. You can goggle it to confirm my claim.

As indicated in my earlier post, investing in mutual funds has its pros and cons but giving the whole investment a bad name is not appropriate especially for uninformed investors. I have consistently invested in a mutual fund as part of my entire portfolio for over five years and the returns (dividend payout and capital appreciation) has outperformed the NSE all share index.

Also not every body can analyse and take investment decisions regarding equities.

I keep telling people that the inflation rate we use in Nigeria is very flawed especially when we are all aware that data used to compute it is not accurate. The rate of inflation should be determined by a combination of consumer index, balance of trade payments,LIBOR etc and not the apex bank unilaterally setting it.

Finally go through my post again and you will note that I have include "continuous learning" as a criteria for the investment curve to be complete and YES one needs to invest long term in a good and tested mutual fund albeit in small tranches if a sustainable ROI is to be achieved.

I rest my case!
Bros eh!!!
LIBOR? to calculate Nigeria's inflation rate? Hmmm
..na wa oh!!!

It is not sensible to use such to justify another looting.

PoliticsRe: Minister Forced Aviation Agency To Spend $1.6 M On Two BMW Armoured Cars(Pics) by 735i(m): 10:12pm On Oct 15, 2013
Sagamite: You are a person!

Even though I don't know, and I have not decided, if I believe she knew or not, your logical excuse of why she cannot be involved is moronic and demonstrates how I keep on saying products of a failed education system cannot reason.

So because Abacha controlled the whole economy means he did not coordinate with people in government to loot?
Slow down mate..slow down...i sense emotions are running high here but, logic should come 1st.
About 3 years ago; the bank i used to work for purchased a Mercedes G-Guard for the M.D; (on his request oh). the vehicle was just short of 100M so some bullet proof cars do really cost that much.
I'm not guessing because i was actually copied in the e-mails i had to source for best insurance offers for the "vehicle"
Now; the M.D didn't give a hoot how much the car cost or the transaction dynamics; he just requested for the specifications. But i very much doubt that he would receive kickbacks from the purchase.
Why?
Because alternative (not too obvious) means of making money are available to him.
My point;
We do not have sufficient evidence to say the minister has in anyway profited from purchase of this asset. Even if she ends up using the car....it's still not enough evidence...
My 2 kobo....

RixExpat: Hello FRM Candidates,

I want to have an idea about the number of candidates preparing for the FRM Exam as I am planning to start an FRM tutorial center here in Lagos. If the number is reasonable, I will approach some other high profile individuals and prospective tutors who are also certified FRMs and some of whom are also CFA charter holders so we can commence an FRM tutorial center in Lagos. Lectures may not commence before the next 2013 November exam considering the logistics that need to be put in place but we can provide mentoring for those who may need that for the November exam.

Regards.
Brilliant idea.. i have friends in Lagos that will definitely be interested. Will you be offering classes in ERM too? That seems to be the next big thing....How can you be contacted?

Personally; i think this prostitution thing is over hyped. When you spend a lot of time someone; you naturally tend to bond with them. That's why it's not so uncommon to see some colleagues sharing secrets that they would not dare voice out in the home front.
People have flings and extra marital affairs. Most times not because they are compelled to, but because of emotional tilts(even if it temporary)
The truth is; a woman who will sleep with a customer cos she is a banker and needs deposits, will sleep with a producer to get roles if she is an actress, or sleep with Judge if she is a lawyer, or sleep with a doctor if she is a nurse... i mean, it just happens everywhere...It's more about the individual not the industry.
I still have a lot of respect for female bankers, and will i think less of a lady banker because she sleeps with a customer? NO!
Not until i have walked in her shoes, and felt where it pinches!
