zeelo2014: I hate the word 'ex'. Most people date just for the moment & sex too. Why not just have flings than carry burden afterall why buy the cow when u can milk it. Asked only a girl out in my university days, still with her most likely end it there if not her the next girl will surely be my wife & fortunately she reasons like me too. For the numerous ladies have been with I sneak into their lives & sneak out like a thief without any form of drama or hard feelings, even connected one to her present husband, friends with benefit thingy.Of all the posts i have come across...this is peharps the most jaw dropping!!! YOU BE THIEF I SWEAR!! ![]() |
Waspy: Bro, where can one get that, i mean the used Macbook?Go to computer village and ask for the main importers. Give him your specs and he should be able to get you a good one within a couple of days. Ensure it is certified and not refurbished. |
If you can; save up extra money and buy a certified used Macbook pro... |

king1_00: You have spoken well, but all you have mentioned might be a barrier to migrating, but if you are useful to an organization, no corporation will use the above mentioned as an excuse to maximize shareholders wealth. If you are valuable the rest is history. HR in the US is nothing close to HR in Nigeria. when they see a talent they recognize it, doesn't matter if you are yellow green or orange. Companies can be sued and pay high fine if they do such. And trust me the least thing you want to do as a firm is get on the bad side of the government. i presently intern for the No 1 fortune 500 company and you will be amazed how many africans, Chinese and indians work with me and all earn above 65k. They have all have the qualities you mentioned. I am talking from a professional stand point of view not menial jobs. The one area that i know most companies are deviating from is hiring people that would require sponsorship not basically because of the cost but other resources that are tied up to this process with HR. Please i am referring to professional jobs here not menial hourly jobs. I am not saying this factors do not decrease ones chances, but Just add value and know what you are doing you will definitely get a good job. Although my accent is not that strong, but i was interviewed with other white american student at least 6 that i know of and i got the internship position. You said i mate; you've got a specific skill set; you're a professional at something. A lot of people do not understand what it means to be a professional; You were able to convince the company that they would loose more than you would if they didn't employ you. How many intending immigrants can convince a white man the same way you were able to? (irrespective of the accent) Yep; Your guess is as good as mine!! |
This same abroad when we dey na hin dey shack people so? ![]() If you wish to migrate; by all means; please do so, But be ready to face the following challenges; 1.) You are Black; That alone is enough reason for whites to discriminate 2.) You don't have a European degree or a specific skill in which your expertise can be evaluated 3.) You don't have a red or blue passport. 4.) You come get one mumu accent (what my brother calls it) If you firmly belive that you can successively overcome the challenges that wil come with the above listed; then by all means (excluding selling property) please come!!! The standard of living cannot be compared. Reason being; Naija has no standard of living......so there is nothing to compare... |
Ayo...:Even if my grandfather was a spectator; i'm still proud of him...very very proud.... He lived a simple life; he was not a thief, nor an an incest inclined murderer... above all; he had strong moral values which he passed on to his kids and his generation My father is proud of his father, i'm proud of my father...can Obasanjo's children come out open and say without guile or shame; "i am proud of my father"? ....You guessed right!!! They can't!!! I don't seek notoriety or stolen wealth; Bleep it!! I want to be able to look at myself in the miror at my old age and say; "I have no regrets" You sound all grown up; i'm impressed!!! the only problem is you're still a fool...so you'll probably die a fool |

Pope Francis, the first Jesuit pontiff who won hearts and headlines with his humility and common touch, was named Time magazine's Person of the Year for 2013, the magazine revealed Wednesday on TODAY. The iconic title goes every year to the individual chosen by Time editors as someone who has had the most impact on the world and the news — for better or worse — over the past year. Pope Francis stood out "as someone who has changed the tone and perception and focus of one of the world largest institutions in an extraordinary way," Time managing editor Nancy Gibbs said Wednesday. "So much of what he has done in his brief nine months in office has really changed the tone that is coming out of the Vatican. He is saying, 'We are about the healing mission of the church, and not about the theological police work that had maybe been preoccupying us.'" The magazine staff makes the ultimate decision, Gibbs said, but they poll readers and take public opinion into account. This was the third time Time named a pope as its Person of the Year. http://www.today.com/news/pope-francis-named-times-2013-person-year-2D11723759 |
Dis Guy: Dis Bad GuyBut i haven't said that na ![]() I am "omo pastor" please ![]() |
Dis Guy: Christmas is coming!! I forsee a lot of bored nigerian students staring at their walls--- this is the time to contact all your long distance relative in Blighty or else you'll be watching BBC 24/7 till the new year- alone!LOL so true.... All my housemates are going to be traveling; i got better plans though... Will get the PS4 on the 26th....i hear there are lots of discounts in the stores on that date.. PS4 plus Vodka plus...... ![]() It won't be a bad xmas afterall.... ****rubs hands in glee***** |
Yeah....i feel you bro.... Have worn those shoes, have walked that road.... If you don't enjoy; seek for a way out.... But don't quit until you get something better!!! The up side of the job; You meet people and build contacts..........(this is invaluable as you will find out in a few years time) You are better exposed to the different industries and you can easily source information which otherwise you wouldn't have access to. You develop you communication skills and ultimately; your self confidence. You have on your C.V; the one skill that every private organization requires.. Maybe you should consider changing industry before you decide to quit sales entirely....a change might do you some good... Above all; if you don't like it; then the earlier you quit; the better for you. Best of luck!! |
GenBuhari: Obasanjo could have been an absolute Nigerian hero and true father of the nation, but unfortunately he is a foolish , shamless and genocidal kleptomanical looter who has turned out to be a catastrophic disaster and cancer for Nigeria. You stole the words out of my mouth..thank you!!! Ayo...:Sometimes..........; It is better to just shut up rather than open your mouth and celebrate your stupidity |
Good, good... Best of luck then... |
miz Gene: * big yawnnnnn* ![]() How's your application going jare? Still coming in January? |
coogar: i make more money a month than your director can ever make. what's the proof that your director even has a university degree? all those quack ACCA-buffs who got into position by the virtue of certification exams won't know shyte about russell-group. ![]() You are a baby!!! |
coogar: how can i be pained that you went to a shyte school & i went to a top school? i am just laughing at your cheap excuse. this is what passengers who travel economy use to console themselves. "economy = first class, they will all get to their destination at the same time" Durham na shyte Uni? ![]() You are a learner!!! Make i give you the name of my Director make you check am for where? Ole Ni e!!Instead make you talk say you wan send am your CV ![]() Keep making noise with your Manchester Kpali... just don't make noise in "my space" Don't even need to educate you on CFA....if after graduating from Manchester (as you claim) you don't know what CFA means; then i'm sure you studied Food and Nutrition....You come dey make noise for here... Shift abeg!!! FTSE kor FCMB ni!!! You just dey look up rubbish wey you nor sabi wetin dem mean take am dey deceive yourself.... With your Manchester Kpali wey you get.........HOW FAR? Which board you dey sit on? ![]() Shioor!!! |
coogar: your directors were being economical with the truth with you & like a black man that you are, you swallowed their words. "who cares if you have a degree from an elite school if it's not reflecting in your performance"LOL!!!! You sound pained ....But don't take it personal.... ![]() My directors cannot be economical with truth...One of them studied Corporate Finance at Durham so he has every reason to hype the Russell group schools but he didn't. If someone who sits on the board and interviews associates and AVP's tells me to ignore the hype with Russell group.... then i'm sorry; your opinion don't mean shyte to me! Manchester grad don't need CFA? or know how to use Bloomberg? LOL....like seriously; LOL!!! I'm sure you know nothing about both CFA and have not even heard of Bloomberg before now. I don't mind being behind "your curve", afterall.... "your curve" ain't worth 2 pennies ![]() |
What's with the hype about this Russell group hype biko? I worked in a Financial Institution before i left Nigeria to study in the UK study and i was fortunate enough to sample opinions from 2 of my directors (who happened to school in the UK) on my choice of Uni here in the UK. I got offers from Surrey, Essex, Leeds, Kent and Aberdeen.... when i brought up the Russell group argument; Both of them waved it away immediately.... "Who cares if you have a degree from an Elite school if it's not reflecting on your performance" was their curt response. If you got a certificate from Durham and you can't prove your mettle at the interviews; sorry is your name oh!! a Sunderland degree holder will clinch the job if he does better than you. I ended up choosing a Uni thats not in the Russell group and is yet ranked higher that 70% of the so called Russell group.... I don't regret it one bit now... With bi-monthly CFA classes and Bloomberg tutorials....i'm waiting to see how a Uni Manchester grad will outshine me... i'm just waiting to see really!!! |
Chai, Mandela done suffer... People dey talk; Monkey sef wan voice.... ![]() See Famzing.... |
ogugua88: Sautéed peppers and onions, grilled tilapia, wilted spinach, and baked potatoes.Hiya..please can you teach me how to make the baked potatoes? Tried 'em severally but it never comes out right ![]() |

Eventually i found someone who could help me prepare soup for an outrageous amount; i just close eye pay am...cos i done almost dey sick.... I will not forget the day i broke the swallow fast; i swallow twice!!! and na the same soup; i nor even send |
