It is not like they love Yoruba but they know we are the only ones that can go toe to toe with them.
But as long as Yorubas don't insist on Igbo getting the Seat...it would NEVER happen.
Hausa see them useful only for....prostitution.
Sad but true... i laugh my eyes out when i see SE boys supporting Atiku. Even if he had entered, it would have been a couple of months before ousting Obi. The funny thing is that they still don't get it. Hausas are better at politics, I heard from a shoemaker that Tinubu is the next president after Buhari and this is as far back as 2017. I ask him why, he said Tinubu akwai ankali, meaning Tinubu is brilliant, he sabi politics well well. |

Herdsmen: Power is not coming south..... Talk more TINUBU... It's Ruga for now... When real politics begin..tunes will change..
I've been in the circle...and has had political statement from the north in their private discuss. As you know... Politics is a game of numbers..
....I've heard influencial northern APC politician..said in a discuss..when asked about TINUBU presidency... ..say...they can't be slaves to Yorubas...with a mean sad face.. Discussion end..topic changed.. of course some yoruba's where seated.
Right now..if you're in government and know how villa operate.. Is all about fulanis from daura...is an open secret..not even hausa are considered..not even kujiris from kastina... TINUBU Kalu and others are only pushing hard to be considered..kinda looking for favors from the daura fulanis..
Some said TINUBU is the second man in government...lol..hmmm...to an average Nigerian.. But the truth is... TINUBU ain't even the 10th man in government..not even osibanjo.. I won't want to argue or say much..
But soon ..fulanis will show their card open..all the await is for Buhari to finish his tenure..then the south will understand politics.
Some abuse obasanjo when he tried to expose the same agenda..within the corridors of power..it was his own people that shut him up.. Mere people on the streets..that don't have information on what's happening to our country..just because they want presidency..the reduce a general, 11 year president of Nigeria..the only man the north fear in the south..even made caricature video of him running out of the country..to a commoner... The demistyfer..the great Oracle feared by the north ..
Anyway..those that knows the truth ..knows too well.. For even osibanjo TINUBU and the whole Western governor's and Abuja politicians knows the bitter truth.. But to be in good books of Baba.. everyone has turn coward.
Bro just forget power coming down to south...you people cheered the k" states dishing out million votes..and applaud the rigging..you still think TINUBU is so important in this administration..
Believe me... they're using him to gain support from Western media..and some southern Muslims..
Muric knows the truth....

MylezKayn: The truth of the matter is that there's no tribe or ethnic group called Hausa. What actually exists are native tribes which existed centuries before Fulani came to Nigeria. These indigenous tribes had their language and culture before the Jihad of Usman Dan Fodio. So as time went on Hausa as a language spread across the Northern Part of the country as a common medium of Communication. So those being called Hausa people today are actually indigenous people who speak Hausa and are distinct culturally from Fulani people They are called Maguzawa, they carry tribal marks and they are mostly Catholics. One of them is Bilkis Labaran of BBC Africa, they have become the minority in the North, there isn't much anyone can do to help them. |

YorubaHero12: Can I ask you a question? If Yoruba were to be a single country, how are we going to vote? Will we vote 98% for a single candidate or not? What is even Democracy when people don’t have diverse opinion?
For your perusal: Akeredolu -Ondo Governor (Christian) Sanwoolu - Lagos Governor (Christian) Abiodun -Ogun Governor (Christian) Makinde - Oyo Governor (Christian) Fayemi - Ekiti Governor (Christian) Oyetola - odun Governor (Muslim)
This validates the fact that Yoruba will always be one irrespective of religion affilations. How do you explain 5 out of 5 governors being a Christian without any chaos? It shows we have learnt to see eachother as one and just one only.
Mind you, my reply is not to convince you whether Yoruba are divided or not because it’s visible that you guys are paid goons that are just trolling and are irredeemable.
My reply is for other tribes out there to understand there is no division among Yoruba people because if a lie continues for long it may become the truth. They just don't get it, ijo wa ajo Jo, ilu wa ajo lu. The more they look, the less they see. The people who rose to expel Saraki from Kwara politics, are there no Christians among them?. Who or what you serve is your business, Muslims donate to church, Christiana donate to Muslims, I know an Alhaja who gifted a plot of land out of an acre to a church, the church is right in front of her house in Ibadan.
FROM THE ARCHIVES: CHINUA ACHEBE'S LETTER TO OBASANJO (2004)
My Dear President Obasanjo,
I write this letter with a very heavy heart. For some time now I have watched events in Nigeria with alarm and dismay. I have watched particularly the chaos in my own state of Anambra where a small clique of renegades, openly boasting its connections in high places, seems determined to turn my homeland into a bankrupt and lawless fiefdom. I am appalled by the brazenness of this clique and the silence, if not connivance, of the Presidency.
Forty three years ago, at the first anniversary of Nigeria’s independence I was given the first Nigerian National Trophy for Literature. In 1979, I received two further honors – the Nigerian National Order of Merit and the Order of the Federal Republic – and in 1999 the first National Creativity Award.
I accepted all these honors fully aware that Nigeria was not perfect; but I had a strong belief that we would outgrow our shortcomings under leaders committed to uniting our diverse peoples.
Nigeria’s condition today under your watch is, however, too dangerous for silence. I must register my disappointment and protest by declining to accept the high honor awarded me in the 2004 Honors List.
Yours faithfully,
Chinua Achebe Annandale-on-Hudson, New York
Where is Obasanjo's reply to the above letter?
He is still writing the reply, hoping to deliver it by hand in future. |

ODVanguard: Yorubaland needs both Yoruba Political leaders and defenders (as you put it). Awo's politics failed in the Nigerian context because he was a centrist; he could never commit nor bring himself to support full Yoruba independence, neither did he want to join/play mainstream politics and consequently the Yorubas suffered for this indecisiveness. That is where Tinubu stands out, in my opinion. He is a hybrid of the Awo/Akintola/MKO tendecies. He is a political realist/pragmatist within the Nigerian context which is why he has remained relevant. Until the Nigerian project dies a natural death (which is only a matter of when not if), Yorubas must master and continue to play their politics with both tact and assertiveness. The reality of pragmatic politics is that you must know that you can't always get what you want, but master how and when to assert yourself to ultimately achieve your political aims.
The same igbos that are currently trying to goad/incite Yorubas into open political confrontation with the current Nigerian political establishment at the helm would not bat an eyelid to take the Yoruba's place at the centre when the chips are down; this they have demonstrated throughout their political history in the Nigerian project, both pre and post civil war. They don't mind working politically with the same Hausa/Fulanis they are currently disparaging if it will suit their political ambitions. For the first time in a long while in Nigerian political history, Yorubas are asserting themselves politically at the centre. A development that obviously isn't sitting well with our Eastern neighbours.
Let the 'Yoruba defenders' (as you label them) continue playing their roles (they suck politically anyway), while the Yorubas who understand the rules of Nigeria politics also continue to do so in the political interest of the Yoruba. Capish. Mature mind wa gba iyi, opolo e ko ni daru. If you dig deeper, you will be shocked to discover the ANIMALS that are masquerading as Fulani herdsmen. Rockyheight: Dear Mr. Tinubu,
Being ambitious is a very good attribute. Being sagacious in the pursuit of the avowed ambition is even more desirable. You are an ambitious man...you've been a Senator, a Governor and now an APC leader.
In the course of your political pilgrimage, you have employed cunning and sagacity to achieve some aspects of your ambitions:
You spearheaded the removal of a president... You installed your own president... You installed a vice president... You install governors in the Yoruba Region... You install Lawmakers...
And these are great achievements, really...in your world, that is...(sic)
It has come to the fore however, that your installation of political officers is for the singular purpose of installing yourself the president of Nigeria in 2023. This is ambitious...and well within your rights.
Despite your sagacity however, it is really disheartening to see you chase after an ambition that couldn't be achieved in practical terms. Almost everyone else reads the times, checks the numbers, the structure and almost total powers you've ceded to your presidential installations.
Dear Sir, I am sorry to really say this to you Sir, that the more powerful you became, the weaker you left the Yoruba People! Every single political move of yours, has strengthened you immensely, but has weakened the position of the Yoruba Nation!
What does it profit a man, to possess all the wealth and riches, but lose his kingdom? What really is the value of a powerful king without a kingdom? What is the benefit of being the most influential Yoruba man who's ambitions leave the Yoruba weak, vulnerable and untenable?
Dear Mr. Tinubu, despite your prowess at installing political officers, I could tell you for free here, that you would never be allowed to install yourself as the president! Everyone knows this except your royal self! It's pathetic to say the least.
Your ambition to be the president of Nigeria, has compelled you to be silent in the face of humiliations, killings, insults and other unprintable actions of the gods of the caliphate towards the Yoruba people, and the rest of the South at that. You have been reduced to a lame, crippled and silenced king with mind boggling wealth but no respect whatsoever from those you helped make king.
Sir, much as millions do not like nor admire you, I sincerely do. Those that do know, actually know that you have the capabilities to make things happen, and you have the grace to bless your lieutenants.
You however lack the most important ingredient: the love and absolute dedication for the Yoruba, and the advancement of the Yoruba Nation. Dear Sir, you absolutely lack that.
In fairness to the one you installed, it is his people FIRST! Why then shouldn't you put the Yoruba Nation first too?
Dear Mr. Tinubu, I make bold to tell you this day, that you have been so blinded by your personal ambitions, that you have brought the Yoruba Nation to her heels...and yourself to a caricature.
Dear Sir, the Yoruba Nation is under siege by marauders from the Sahara. The Yoruba Nation needs the cunning and the sagacity of the best among them. The Yoruba Nation needs to roar once more like the lion it was and put a stop to the national insult against them. The Yoruba Nation needs leadership now! But your current ambition is a stumbling block to the rise of the Yoruba as a people!
Dear Mr. Tinubu, it is time you took a step backwards and count the cost of your presidential ambition to the Yoruba Nation! If truth be told, you would serve better as the Premier of the Yoruba Nation as an autonomous region than the president of Nigeria! Becoming a, Premier of the Yoruba Nation is a far more realistic ambition than the president of a Nigeria that might not even be in 2023!
I am told you wish to be like the late sage, Chief Awolowo. The great man placed the Yoruba Nation FIRST in all things; he was the Premier, and served the Yoruba Nation excellently. Borrow a leaf from his book, Sir. Rally the Yoruba Nation as an autonomous region. Let go of this almost impossible ambition to displace the Caliphate entrenched in Abuja; Nigeria as we know it is no more despite all efforts to deny same. Recalibrate your ambition, and become a premier. Place the Yoruba Nation FIRST, and you shall really be called a great man!
The Premiership of the Yoruba Nation is well within your reach; the presidency is a mirage you would never see. Rally the Yoruba Nation...and save the region from the invaders you inadvertently invited.
Yours in the Service of the Autonomous Regions,
Àrákùnrin Baron Roy , . Tinubu has become the wailers Nightmare. Was it not the same Tinubu that you people used to call agbero, a common garage tout?. Tinubu D'araba apa enikan o ka, gbabi ma gbabe, gbabe ma gbabi. |
