Akolawole: Support from Afenifere to Prof Osinbajo?
Am I dreaming?
The whole Afenifere that supported Mr Goodluck Jonathan 100 % and logically voted against Osinbajo.
For those who knew Yoruba politics very well, Afenifere of 1960's is different to today's Afenifere.
The proper Afenifere died at D'rovans hotel in Ibadan in 1999.
I have said it several times on this forum, my Osinbajo do NOT need support of Afenifere and the likes. The only support he need is from God and he has that in abundance. Nothing hinders a man of great God from fulfilling destiny, PYO 'so life has been like that from onset. Thank you jare, our people said ti ohun ta n'je ba tan, ohun ti a kii je l'oku. Those old foxes didn't know that Yoruba train has left them behind since Jona. |

Although the igbos have not achieved much from the resurgent Biafra agitation but we have to commend them for having the courage to stand up and look the Hausa Fulani in the face. The day Yorubas summon such courage is the day the south will be liberated. You mean the courage they did not have when they were warming PDP bed?. Now that some people have found their courage, let them get out first. |

What happened when the north struck in July 1966 and fajuyi was slaughtered like a beast in his zone nothing ,Yorubas did absolutely nothing.
What happened when ogundipe was kicked out of the seat of power in July 1966 even as he was supposed to take over as the most senior military official, nothing, Yoruba's did absolutely nothing.
What happened when Abiola was sent to jail for winning and election and killed in jail with his wife kudirat slaughtered on the streets of Lagos, nothing, yorubas did absolutely nothing.

aribisala0: The IRA or Irish republicaan Army for years terrorized the UK with their agenda to break away from the UK and join the Republi of Ireland. Why has there not been a referendum in Northern Ireland but there has been in Scotland where there was no violence. ? After many years of bombings the IRA were forced to push their agenda through elections and consistently have failed to secure a majority in the devolved government.Rather the Pro-Union Democratic Union Party DUP have won all elections and they reject calls for referendums.
The IRA are like IPOB full of sound and fury but no substance. If you want to leave you must push that agenda through a political party. IPOB should form a party ,contest for Senate and House of Representatives and when they win those seats refuse to sit and boycott the institutions. The IRA party Sinn Fein does not want to be merged with England in the UK .Its elected MPs to London refuse to swear an oath of allegiance to the Queen and so they never take their few Westminister seats even though they are a minority compared to the ProUnion Democratic Union Party DUP.
Today the Government at Westmnster is a coalition between the Conservatives and the DUP. Back home in Belfast in the local government the DUP dominate snd so there has bee no call for referendum Despite the fact that the IRA were for years very destructive and as a result Northern Ireland was essentially occupied by the British Army as a result. When push came to shove the IRA was not as popular as it believed.
In summary REFERENDUM WILL NEVER HAPPEN via street protests but through politics and elections. Elect IPOB Senators and Governors then we will take you seriously. Stop pretending to yourselves that other Nigerians don't want you to leave You think Kanu doesn't know that he needs political power to achieve Biafra?. He will need to unsit the powers in the East to implement this plan you are discussing here. So who among the powers in the East is he capable of unsitting?, If you remember, the 2011 governorship elections in SW? announced BAT, as a major player in Nigerian politics. He did not achieve this without SERVING his people, he served them to earn their trust and this was how he got their co operation. This guy has to earn his people's trust first before others can begin to take him serious. For now, just ignore him and his goons. |

There is NO lie in what the writer of the article said. Igbos trying to take over the control of the West " Yoruba land is as far back as pre Independence. From Zik trying to become the premier of the West, to the invasion of Ore during the Biafran war. I have mentioned it on this forum before, that the invasion of Ore was an expansionism agenda of the Igbos. The fact that they tried and failed doesn't mean they will not try it again. I'm however assuring them that, " as it was in the beginning, so shall it be in the end ". Proudly Ogbomosho, Ogbomosho alone will fix these people's long throat for Yoruba land, a combine forces of Yoruba warriors will annihilate them. I hope they have read about how Sunday Adewusi burried Maitatsine in northern Nigeria. I also hope they remember a certain black scorpion?, thousands of men like these are in Ogbomosho alone not to talk of other Yoruba lands. My ONLY advice for the expansionists is to start clear of Yoruba land, eni to ba ju ni lo, o le lu ni pa. I am only ADVICING them, before the poo hit the fan. Obi1kenobi: Ewu.....that's the only kind of sentiments they can raise when you oppose their arguments. They simply insinuate you're some kind of sell-out. If you think we're so worthless that we must be mindless sheep following the same path, I can categorically declare you're anathema to me and you and your fellow mindless sheep will never speak for me and several Igbos like me. The only "enslavement" is unthinking zombies that follow the lead of a crude tout of no intellect, no credibility, no integrity, no coherent strategy, no tact or diplomacy: who only excels in raw incitement of mindless emotion and sentiment. I've listened to Kanu's broadcasts and utterances for years long before he sneaked into Nigeria to get arrested and despite my long-term support for either devolution of powers from the centre or outright secession, I can never throw my support behind a charlatan and his movement of touts whose crude, unruly conduct, misinformation campaign, insults and provocations and mooronic antics (like wearing Jewish garb and carrying Israel flag about like cursed efulefus) have hijacked a once noble, intellectual movement. CHAI. This is my first time of meeting an intelligent Igbo person, you UNDERSTAND how the game should be played. KANU is actually fighting a just cause with a wrong approach. This is the reason why there is a need for you and like minds to speak out and be heard without necessarily compromising the Biafran AGENDA. Way back in South Africa, Bantu Steve Biko was more popular than Mandela because he was a trouble maker. Mandela on the other hand was a quiet but a deadly strategists. Biko was murdered by the apartheid regime because violence was his strategy, but Mandela was ACTUALLY begged to become the first Black president of South Africa, after spending 27 years of his life in jail. Mandela was human, he no use juju, he only suffered all kinds of humiliations to attract local and international sympathy for his people. This is the same strategy used by Mahatma Gandhi to get the British out of India. These are the kinds of leaders that can win a liberation struggles NOT this current one that CANNOT use his captivity to arm twist the Nigerian government, to the NEGOTIATION TABLE. The reason the government is not taking Kanu and the IPOB serious is because the international community are not interested in his style and approach. If you are still young and vibrant, step on it. You could be the CATALYST that Biafra is waiting for. |

It may be painful now but this is the way to go. Oil revenue will soon become zero with cheap electric car coming into market. If I tell you that most Nigerians knows next to nothing about macro economics will you believe me?. This has been the major reason for the high rate of poverty and the backward state of this country. Our people want to spend money as it comes in without investing in the future. Hence you see people who made millions in their 20s but are living from hand to mouth in their early thirties. They don't even know the meaning of reserve, everything na to chop. Is this not the same thing that is killing the country? chop and quench country.
