You never move soil the land underneath dey shift and swallow roads and villages. What do you think will happen when you disturb the subterranean to widen and increase depth for the river?
We are tired of hosting ungrateful refugees from East. If you drege and widen the gullies whats the first place you think your people go run go?
Yorubas have a stake here. We need to protect interest in our future, for us and our children, our region is over saturated with Ibos, we cant absorb anymore refugees. It is therefore politically prudent that our leaders oppose any act and discourage discussion on dredging anywhere in SE. Such a task requires heavy machineries with high vibrations that will displace rocks, soil and water. The subterranean formation underneath alaibo will not absorb these impacts well and will result in human catastrophy. We say no to river dredging in East. Why cant you continue to use ports in West, is anyone evicting your people from doing their business at Apapa? No! If the space at Apapa and Tin Can is no longer sufficient to accomodate you then talk to Lagos State Governor and we can build more ports to make your business easier and smoother. Thats common sense! Stop talking about ports and dredging you will upset us. Remember, we are brothers....and no need to upset your kins in West.
Chukwu Okike Abiamo! Abeg let dem dredge the river, I want these people to go back home CHAI, I'm sick and tired of their endless wailing. |

ESDKING: Do u know that Yoruba Christians are not given fair treatment by Yoruba Muslims in SW ? ,
1, Only Yoruba Muslims have been Gov of Lagos until the outcry became too much by Yoruba Christians and Yoruba Muslims had no other alternative than succumb to pressure that was mounted on them by Yoruba Christians by installing Ambode as Lag state gov and he's going to be the last Christian governor according to the source
2, You hardly see Yoruba Muslims christianizing northeners the way they treat southern Christians even if their brothers Yoruba Christians are involved all because of religion.
3,'Do u know that Yoruba muslins kept quite when Northeners said that Osibanjo (a christian)won't succeed Buhari come 2019 but quick to critisize one of their own Ffk who happens to be a Christian as well for speaking out and condemn the comment made by northerners about Osibanjo's not succeeding Buhari come 2019. Yoruba Muslims did this because they share the same faith with Buhari
3, Are you also aware that there are more Muslim governors in SW than Christian governors ? I PITY YORUBA CHRISTIANS !!. One day, you guys will wake up and find out that even the little ones you have have been handed over to Muslim northeners by your muslim brothers.
YORUBA CHRISTIANS WAKE UP NOW
WAKE UP ! WAKE UP!! WAKE UP!!! Kkkkkkkkkk is this all you can do?, I was born a Muslim, I grew up Muslim, I'm married to a Muslim but we are both Christian now, are you trying to get me to wake up and fight my father because you are frustrated?. The more you look the less you see, here in SW we are a very big family, so you don't know that the most important thing around here is our acknowledgements of God?, his omnipresent, Omnipotent, omniscient?, we acknowledged him as the Alpha and the Omega. We acknowledged and appreciate his works as the source and sustainer of everything he created. We don't care about anybody's religion, how anybody or everybody serve God is not anybody's business around here, I hope you dig it. |

We need to know the mind of the SW brothers, they are neither here or there. I hate to call them cowards, but I am being forced to think that FFK and Fayose are the real champions who understand tomorrow. Who you be?, apologize for what exactly?. You see why we need to go our separate ways? What exactly do Yorubas stand to gain by being in the same country with leeches or you think we are fools around here?. It is no longer Yorubas are Afonja, Yorubas are hateful, they are cowards, it is now Yoruba must apologize. Statsocial: God bless you. See one of the hindrances to southern unity is social media but I would keep warning as many fellow Yorubas that would care to listen-we need to choose alliance carefully. We as a region also wants to grow and there is no way the North won't pull us back with their religious extremism especially if the ibos exits Nigeria. It would reduce and stem the political influence of the south west. If the SS joins the SE then we are more in trouble. How do we in the SW carry the weight of the entire North-how would we make them grow when they wield more politically. Admitting that the exit of the Igbos makes Yorubas politically weak on this country is not cowardice but pragmatism. If the north can oppress all of us even with a full south then they would destroy us with an incomplete south.
Secondly, the religious diversity in the south west works to our disadvantage because even though we are very tolerant people, we can't deny that sometimes we may tilt towards religious bias rather than ethnic one. And if we ever go alongside religious bias we are then in trouble because it would make us vulnerable.
Now concerning the issue of biafra I believe also in self determination for the SE, SS, SW- however pending the time of secession we need to join forces to form a powerful political bloc that can resist the North. I would have called for a southern secession but the SW cant commit to that because of the religious diversity hence the SW is better off on its own. Join forces with who, every man for himself God for all of us. |

kingzizzy: If you take Britain that just left the EU, over 3 million EU citizens in the UK. Will Britain deport them? No, not really.
In the event of Biafra seceding from Nigeria, both sides will have to discuss the sharing of assets, liabilities and debts. This means that there will be a discussion on 'Biafra/Nigeria' reltionship and the status of its citizens. A 'transition period' will have to be agreed on to allow the agreemwnts take effect
It is not likely that Nigeria will start deporting all Igbos straightaway as this could illegal under international law. Another reason why Nigeria wont do this is because it will damage Nigeria and the Nigerian economy irreparably before the international community. No international investor will ever step foot in Nigeria ever again when hear that Nigeria deported millions of people it once called brothers.
Such mass deportations only destroys the credibility of a country See those crying and wailing to be free from the zoo. Leave credibility matter face your country. |

Nothing like SOUTHERN NIGERIA, let everyone answer their fathers names. Southern Nigeria will be another opportunity for some normadic tribes to come and turn other people's lands to refugee camps. An honest question for my biafran peeps. if in the long run you succeeded in achieving your biafran nation.... 1) what Will your economy depends on? (I.e your sources of income revenue and exportation) 2) with your population can your economy cater for majority of the populace? 3) The biafran states are all land locked. how are you people going to go about importation and exportation of goods, services? since mostly import and export are ideally held at the sea port. 4) What basically are the food crop and livestock produced in biafran land? are they enough to feed the populace? as in the case during the biafran War, when general Gawon ordered the blockade the result was a wide scale massacre by starvation. are they any plan to this problem if by chance it arises Again? and 5) Have your elders learned from South Sudan? are they any precautions in place to avoid the South Sudan scenario? They are Jews, all they need will fall from heaven. I support them to have their country, it's long overdue. |

Lets look at the stats now: Edo: 1 Igbo community (Igbanke), est pop. 20,000 Delta: Just one senatorial district of which Ndokwa and Ika deny being Igbo, est pop. 1.2m Bayelsa: No Igbo community Rivers: Igboid groups dominated, est pop. 2m Akwa Ibom: No Igbo community Cross Rivers: one or two Igbo settlements, est pop 10,000
How does the above estimated 3.2m Igboid groups account for 60% of Niger Delta's 25milion population?
You see why we will never trust Igbos? You don't yet have Biafra but you feel you own the South. What will then happen when you do?
Just advocate for an igboid country and leave minorities in the South alone. They have nothing to gain but Igbo domination! Unless there's some merging in some components, like some states in SS will merge with some in SW and SE while some NE states will merge with NW and some of NC will go to NW and vice verser. No mind my english. Na my opinion be that. The new countries will work provided the people there are willing to make it work. Besides, there will be other New challenges, issues and problems that will arise. The black race, Nigeria inclusive, is programmed in such a parochial way so as not to make meaningful progress because of our inbuilt retrogressive and backward thought processes.
The black race needs help and deliverance. Let us break this country into manageable sizes. Nigeria is just too big to manage as one country, look at Europe, some countries are not even up to 3 million in population and they are doing quite well. Some people in this country has refused to evolve, they will always be a draw back for those striving to move forward so let's break this country up. |
